Boston College is heavily favored over Navy in the 2006 Meineke Car Care Bowl odds.  One of the reasons for that is that BC has the longest bowl winning streak in the nation at six games.  The bad news for the Eagles is that coach Tom O'Brien won't be there as he left to take over at North Carolina State.  The other distraction facing the Eagles is the suspension of their place kicker for the second time already this season. 

Of course with Navy you get the ground and pound running attack from the quarterback on.  However it may be tough going for the Midshipmen today as Boston College rankes 13th in the country against the run, allowing only 90.1 ypg.  The good news for Navy is that their running attack will take away one of Boston College's strengths, which is intercepting passes.  This lack of playmaking ability by forcing turnovers could be a reason this line is set so low. 

Key stat for this game is how Navy went 1-3 against bowl bound teams this season while Boston College went 6-2.  Navy seems to do well in the bowls as well, but this is the first time they are getting to take on a powerhouse from a major conference.
