LSU certainly does not have the team it had a season ago, but I believe it is better than a 7-5 team. The Jackets are being overvalued here. I know they beat Georgia in a shootout to end the season, but that was a rivalry game and they won’t get up nearly as much for this one. LSU is 4-1 SU and ATS in its last 5 Bowls so you better believe the Tigers will be ready to play. LSU is 10-1 ATS in road games after 2 consecutive games where they forced 1 or less turnovers since 1992. With time to rest, I expect this defense to be fresh and causing havoc once more. Georgia Tech is 1-10 ATS off 2 or more consecutive overs since 1992. The long layoffs have not been to the benefit of offenses thus far and I don’t believe the Jackets will be hitting on all cylinders. Take the points.
