It was another winner for Steve Janus last night on the 2009 International Bowl. If you missed out on this chance to beat the bowl game odds then don’t worry, because Steve will be releasing bowl picks on the remaining game that all have a great chance of cashing in. Let’s take a look at just why he liked the Huskies to cash this ticket:
This is Buffalo’s first ever bowl appearance, so I do expect them to come out with a lot of emotion, but in the end they don’t have the defense to contain the UConn rushing attack. Connecticut features the nation’s leading rusher, Donald Brown, who ended up with 1822 yards in the regular season. The Huskies also have the better defense in the game, allowing just 19.8 points per game, compared to the 27.5 points per game that the Bulls allow. With UConn’s style of play they may get off to a slow start on the scoreboard, but they should pull away in the second half.
