12-31-20 | Minnesota v. Wisconsin -8 | 59-71 | Win | 100 | 16 h 43 m | Show
Minnesota at Wisconsin 4:30 ET Badgers (-) over Golden Gophers- No. 21 Minnesota just reeled off three straight home wins and covers starting with St. Louis, Iowa and then Michigan State as Rich Pitino has his squad 9-0 SU at home. Meanwhile, Wisconsin just had their five game winning streak halted by Maryland as a beaten 10-point favorite on Monday. The Golden Gophers have play on the road once and lost at Illinois by 27 points. I don't need a margin that big but double-digits will do! Take WISCONSIN! |
12-30-20 | Blazers +3.5 v. Clippers | 105-128 | Loss | -103 | 11 h 5 m | Show
Portland at L.A. Clippers 10:00 ET Trailblazers (+) over Clippers- The Clippers responded to their worst loss (123-74) in franchise history like true professionals rebounding against the lowly Timberwolves with a convincing 124-101 win. Kawhi Leonard of course was missing from both contests and most likely will sit out once again as he's still no sure as to when his eight stitches will be removed from his mouth. Portland of course did their thing last time out against the Lakers who they have a mastery over the NBA Champs. The Blazers also have an edge on the Clippers going 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings and are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six as underdogs while LA is 1-4 ATS in their last five as favorites. Take PORTLAND! |
12-30-20 | Hornets +8 v. Mavs | 118-99 | Win | 100 | 10 h 36 m | Show
Charlotte at Dallas 8:30 ET Hornets (+) over Mavericks- Hey Dallas, what's that all about...I mean a 50-point lead over the Clippers their last time out after starting the season 0-2. Think about this, the biggest halftime lead in NBA history 77-27 and it was over the Clippers. The Mavericks also had good news as Kristaps Porzingis had a full day of practice and should ready soon but not tonight. Charlotte posted their first win of the season over Brooklyn as an 11-point underdog on Sunday as 'our' Megabucks winner as Gordon Hayward blends in with his new mates as he works with Luca Doncic. Hornets are 8-0-1 ATS in their last nine games as underdogs and 4-1 ATS in their last five trips to Dallas. Take CHARLOTTE! |
12-30-20 | Lakers v. Spurs +5.5 | Top | 121-107 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 38 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers at San Antonio 8:30 ET Spurs (+) over Lakers- Los Angeles open the season with four games at home won the middle two while dropping their opener to the Clippers and Monday to Portland. They take to the road for the first time and are 1-3-1 ATS in their last away games. Lebron has been as good as ever and the Lakers still haven't settled in or found their chemistry, with Davis and others in-and-out things may take a bit of time. But, we are still talking about LeBron James who can and is the difference ANY time he decides. San Antonio broke out with a pair of wins but were totally out of whack last time out as they didn't box out allowing 13 offensive rebounds, committed 15 turnovers and made only eight free throws. Spurs 18-8 ATS in last 26 as home underdogs. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
12-30-20 | North Carolina v. Georgia Tech +3.5 | 67-72 | Win | 100 | 7 h 46 m | Show
North Carolina at Georgia Tech 8:00 ET Yellow Jackets (+) over Tar Heels- North Carolina at 5-3 has been dropped from the rankings and quite deservedly so. I don't believe this is one of the Tar Heels better team and coach Williams know it. Both clubs have wins over Kentucky (heck, if you scheduled Kentucky you win) but Carolina has trailed by double-digits in six games three of which they lost. Carolina has covered just one spread in their last six games while the Yellow Jackets are just 2-5 ATS in their last seven they bound back after an ATS loss and are 20-7 ATS. Take GEORGIA TECH! |
12-30-20 | Seton Hall +2.5 v. Xavier | 85-68 | Win | 100 | 6 h 48 m | Show
Seton Hall at Xavier 7:00 ET Pirates (+) over Musketeers- Xavier opened with eight straight wins and busted into the rank9ngs at No. 22 and then promptly lost to another ranked team Creighton 66-61. They host Seton Hall who is a disappointing 6-5 rebounding from a 1-3 start and are 3-1 in Big East action. The Musketeers have had seven days to stew about their first loss and after that much time doubt starts to creep into your thoughts. The Pirates are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 road games and building confidence they are 24-11 ATS last 35 after a SU win. Add that the road team and underdog is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. Take SETON HALL! |
12-30-20 | Mississippi State +2 v. Georgia | Top | 83-73 | Win | 100 | 6 h 51 m | Show |
Mississippi State at Georgia 7:00 ET Bulldogs (+) over Bulldogs- So big bad Georgia is undefeated (7-0) but was so lightly regarded by the oddsmakers that two games ago against a 2-5 Cincinnati team they were a 2-point underdog at home. Miss State is 4-0 at home and 0-3 on the road and all three were at neutral sites against better competition. This is the start of a 'new' season as it is the SEC opener for both and it takes on that little something extra. Of any trends of significance Georgia holds the edge but the oddsmaker say different. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE! |
12-29-20 | Pelicans +3 v. Suns | 86-111 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 22 m | Show
New Orleans at Phoenix 10:00 ET Pelicans (+) over Suns- good start for both these clubs as neither has been to the playoffs in awhile. Phoenix last played in the post season 11 years ago and for New Orleans it's been three years. Both squads are looking for their young talented superstars to lead them to the promise land and they just might do it as Zion Williamson when healthy is unstoppable and few can keep up with the Suns Devin Booker. The Pelicans are 1-5 ATS in their last six road games while Phoenix is 7-0 ATS in their last seven home games. New Orleans is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings and 6-1 ATS in the last seven in Phoenix. Take the PELICANS! |
12-29-20 | Celtics v. Pacers +1 | 116-111 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 23 m | Show
Boston at Indiana 7:00 ET Pacers (+) over Celtics- Anytime I hear 'it's just another game' or 'no need to panic' I think that quote came from is a loser. With the Celtics at 1-2 there is no need to panic, so why mention it! The Pacers are 3-0 and with a healthy Victor Oladipo returning to form Indiana is looking to rise to the next tier. Boston has had some changes to their roster and the biggest hole to fill was created by the departure of Gordon Hayward. After defeating Milwaukee 122-121 opening night the Celtics were blown out by the Nets and lost 108-107 against Indiana Sunday as a 2.5-point favorite and tonight they opened -1, it won't matter. This is the second of back-to-back games scheduled with the same team hosting the ' series' and the Pacers are looking for the sweep. Take INDIANA! |
12-29-20 | Knicks +3.5 v. Cavs | Top | 95-86 | Win | 100 | 8 h 60 m | Show |
New York at Cleveland 7:00 ET Knicks (+) over Cavaliers- Break-up the Cavs, no hey break-up the Knicks! All of a sudden these two dog franchises have show life and have actually won some games. Cleveland is 3-0 both SU and ATS having defeated Charlotte, Detroit and Philadelphia not exactly the top tier of NBA clubs but their was one common denominator...the were underdogs in all three. The turnaround here is that they have become the favorite and have a target on their back. New York finally jumped into the win column handing Tom Thibodeau his first win with a 130-110 pounding of Milwaukee. That's a great confidence builder for this young Knicks team who look much improved. Take NEW YORK! |
12-29-20 | Purdue +3.5 v. Rutgers | Top | 76-81 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 31 m | Show |
Purdue at Rutgers 7:00 ET Boilermakers (+) over Scarlet Knights- Rutgers was 6-0 with a pair of Big Ten wins over Maryland and Illinois and then ran into Ohio State was were out-classed 80-68 after building a 13-point lead. The Scarlet Knights won their first five games by double-digits but a 20-1 run by the Buckeyes brought Rutgers back to reality. The are lead by one-gang Ron Harper Jr. who can't do it alone and the Knights will be short handed as a pair of their standout freshman are questionable. Purdue had won the first eight meetings between the two until last season when Rutgers swept the series (2-0) and this time out the boilermakers get their revenge. Take PURDUE! |
12-28-20 | Blazers +3.5 v. Lakers | 115-107 | Win | 100 | 9 h 50 m | Show
Portland at L.A. Lakers 10:00 ET Trailblazers (+) over Lakers- There is a bit of an anomaly surrounding this contest as Portland is just 3-8 ATS in the last 11 meetings but they are 21-8 ATS in the last 29 meetings in Los Angeles. The last time these two clubs met was in the first round of the 2020 'Bubble Playoffs' and the Lakers took the series 4-1. The Blazers were off to a slow start getting pounded 120-100 in their open to Utah and struggled to defeat a short-handed Houston square the COVID restrictions and only nine active players. Anthony Davis is out for LA and Carmelo Anthony is out for Portland and I'll take that exchange any day of the week. Take PORTLAND! |
12-28-20 | Colorado +3 v. Arizona | Top | 74-88 | Loss | -108 | 10 h 50 m | Show |
Colorado at Arizona 9:00 ET Buffaloes (+) over Wildcats- Something smells here! Arizona (6-1) who perennially is a national contender on the hardwood is a meager favorite at home over Colorado who since joining the Pac-12 in 2011 has never won in Tucson. Get this the Buffaloes are 13-39 ATS in their last 52 road games and yet they virtually have to win the game outright to win the bet. Coach Sean Miller said of his Wildcats he has five new faces starting and they may have won six games but they are 0-1 against Division I schools. Losing to Stanford in their conference opener. The Buffaloes are a veteran team that leads the nation in free throw percentage (85.9%) while Arizona is shooting 54.4% at the line in their last two games. Take COLORADO! |
12-28-20 | Rockets v. Nuggets -6.5 | Top | 111-124 | Win | 100 | 8 h 51 m | Show |
Houston at Denver 9:00 ET Nuggets (-) over Rockets- Denver is 0-2 on the season and yet is a 9-point favorite over a team that has the league's leading scorer the last three seasons in James Harden. But that's not all, Houston also has four players in quarantine and the league is still looking to take action against Harden for violations of the COVID regulations. Denver who went to the conference finals last season is 0-2 at home losing outright as 9.5-point favorites in both games. Although the Rockets are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings but they are 7-17 ATS on the road while despite the recent losses the Nuggets are 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 at home. Third time will be a charm for the Nuggets at home...take DENVER! |
12-28-20 | Grizzlies +4 v. Nets | 116-111 | Win | 100 | 6 h 20 m | Show
Memphis at Brooklyn 7:00 ET Grizzlies (+) over Nets- Dreams of a perfect season were dashed at Charlotte when the Hornets built an 18-point lead before holding on to hand the Nets first loss of the season 106-104. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have been outstanding together leading Brooklyn in scoring in all three of their game to date But, it appears that one of the Nets 'Big-Two' will mostly likely rest as both are coming off serious season ending injuries. Memphis is looking for their first win of the season and fight to get it here. Take MEMPHIS! |
12-27-20 | Suns v. Kings +3 | 116-100 | Loss | -104 | 9 h 56 m | Show
Phoenix at Sacramento 9:00 ET Kings (+) over Suns- We are going to see a lot of back-to-back series between teams that might not seem that unusual except that like baseball the back-to-back series will have they home team hosting both games. The Kings prevailed for us last night over the Suns and I expect them to do it again tonight. Phoenix opened with a win over Dallas for their nine straight as the closed last season with eight straight win ending the season in the bubble. Phoenix is 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games following an ATS loss while the Kings are 10-2-1 ATAS in their last 13 as underdogs including 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine as home dogs. Take SACRAMENTO! |
12-27-20 | Celtics v. Pacers +2.5 | 107-108 | Win | 100 | 8 h 57 m | Show
Boston at Indiana 8:00 ET Pacers (+) over Celtics- Boston opened their season with a thrilling 122-121 victory over Milwaukee and then held a 64-59 lead over Brooklyn at the half and were outscored 72-41 in the second. With the departure of Gordon Hayward and Al Horford Boston doesn't have the chemistry of recent seasons. Indiana has a healthy Victor Oladipo and a powerful Domantas Sabonis who is averaging 27 points and 12 rebounds per game. Boston is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games while the Pacers are 5-2-` ATS in their last eight home games. Take INDIANA! |
12-27-20 | 76ers v. Cavs +7 | Top | 94-118 | Win | 100 | 7 h 28 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Cleveland 7:30 ET Cavaliers (+) over 76ers- The Sixers seem to have a new attitude under Doc Rivers leadership as Joel Embiid looks rejuvenated as he averages 28 points and 12 rebounds. Cleveland has won their first two games for the first time since LeBron James left as No. 1 draft pick Collin Sexton has been unstoppable and is off a 32 point performance. Kevin Love is back in the lineup and the Sixers were just 10-24 on the road last season. Take the CAVALIERS! |
12-26-20 | Suns v. Kings +3.5 | 103-106 | Win | 100 | 11 h 54 m | Show
Phoenix at Sacramento 10:00 ET Kings (+) over Suns- It has been a combined 24 years between these two since either has made the playoffs 14 season for the Kings and 10 years for the Suns. Both clubs opened season with wins as Phoenix took care of Dallas at home while Sacramento went to Denver and won in OT 124-122. The Suns have now won nine straight as they were 8-0 in 'Bubble' games closing last season and they are 11-1 ATS in their last seven. The Kings have been playing well themselves as the are 5-2 ATS as underdogs in their last seven and 9-2-1 ATS as underdogs including 6-1-1 ATS at home as dogs. Take SACRAMENTO! |
12-26-20 | Pacers v. Bulls +5 | 125-106 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 17 m | Show
Indiana at Chicago 8:00 ET |
12-26-20 | 76ers v. Knicks +8.5 | Top | 109-89 | Loss | -104 | 9 h 53 m | Show |
Philadelphia at New York 7:30 ET Knicks (+) over 76ers- The 76ers did their thing staging a fourth quarter comeback in defeating the Wizards gaining the victory with a non-cover. In their opener against Indiana New York held a lead at the half and then just could keep pace as the Pacers just ran over the Knicks in the second half. New York under their first year with veteran coach Tom Thibodeau showed some signs of promise as RJ Barrett looked like the player the Knicks thought he could be. I'm not sure if Philadelphia has solved any of their internal issues but the are still 16-35-2 ATS in their last 53 road games. Take NEW YORK! |
12-26-20 | Indiana +7 v. Illinois | 60-69 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 6 m | Show
Indiana at Illinois 4:00 ET Hoosiers (+) over Illini- Indiana just opened their Big Ten season with a home loss to Northwestern as a 7-point favorite and now are about the same price as an underdog at Illinois. The Illini just pounded Penn State 98-81 as a 4.5-point road favorite as they took control midway thru the second half. Hoosiers coach Archie Miller was so upset with his clubs performance he call a 9am Christmas Eve practice to fix their ills and the Hoosiers are 7-0 ATS after a straight-up loss. Now, you understand why...Take INDIANA! |
12-26-20 | Virginia +9 v. Gonzaga | Top | 75-98 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 6 m | Show |
Gonzaga at Virginia 4:00 ET Cavaliers (+) over Bulldogs- No. 15 Virginia was looking to prove themselves against ranked teams like Villanova, Florida and Michigan State all of which were cancelled do to COVID issues. The Cavaliers have won three straight but haven't played anyone the likes No. 1 Gonzaga's (6-0) who just played a pair of games against Northwestern State just to stay sharp as they won by 38 and 17 as 39 and 43-point favorites. Virginia (4-1) will be facing a Bulldogs team that averages 95PPG and Tony Bennett will have his No. 5 ranked defense ready and they rise to meet their competition and are 37-16 ATS in their last 53 games as an underdog. Take VIRGINIA! |
12-26-20 | Kentucky +4.5 v. Louisville | 59-62 | Win | 100 | 9 h 7 m | Show
Kentucky at Louisville 1:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Cardinals- These two have mirror records and the Wildcats at 1-5 may be in trouble when the Big Dance arrives and the 5-1 Cardinals will have to be better than what we've seen. Louisville does have wins over Seton Hall and their ACC opener over Pittsburgh but they were destroyed by Wisconsin 85-48. Kentucky has a number of problems one of which is poor shooting from the line (66%) and from beyond the arc (24.3). They are young and have maturity issues as Calipari has given players leave of absence from the team for a limited time. This is the 'biggest' game of the schedule for both side and a huge effort is needed in the worst way for the Wildcats. Take KENTUCKY! |
12-25-20 | Clippers v. Nuggets +2.5 | Top | 121-108 | Loss | -105 | 25 h 21 m | Show |
L.A. Clippers at Denver 10:30 ET Nuggets (+) over Clippers- I just love the way this one sets itself up as the Clippers come off their opening night win over the NBA Champs and take to the road against a beaten-favorite. Denver lost in overtime at Sacramento and return home hungry for their first win of the season. The last time these two met was during the 'Bubble Playoffs' and LA had a 3-1 game lead in the series only to see the Nuggets come back with three straight wins. In their loss to the Kings Jamal Murray had one field goal before fouling out, I expect a much better performance tonight. Denver 10-4 ATS as home dogs. Take NUGGETS! |
12-25-20 | Iowa v. Minnesota +7 | 95-102 | Win | 100 | 22 h 57 m | Show
Iowa at Minnesota 8:00 ET Golden Gophers (+) over Hawkeys- Funny isn't it how two teams from the same conference the Big Ten with the same impressive record (7-1) can be graded so differently. Iowa is ranked No. 5 and has only lost to No. 1 Gonzaga while the Golden Gophers only lost at Illinois and are unranked. Minnesota coach Richard Pitino has made his squad aware of the media's opinion of their record and talent. Iowa has won the last two meetings but the gophers won 12 of the previous 17. Iowa is just 3-7 ATS as road favorites and the home team is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings. Take MINNESOTA! |
12-25-20 | Nets v. Celtics +3.5 | 123-95 | Loss | -114 | 20 h 51 m | Show
Brooklyn at Boston 5:00 ET Celtics (+) over Nets- Okay, everyone was waiting to see what the Nets would look and play like with their cadre of Superstars and they did not disappoint running away from the Warriors 125-99 with Durant and Irving leading the way with scoring 22 and 26 points respectively. Boston of course pulled another home underdog win against Milwaukee and are now 17-4 ATS as home underdogs and 23-8 in their last 31 games as dogs overall. Nets 7-2 ATS on the road but this is a new group and it's their first road game. Take BOSTON! |
12-25-20 | Warriors +10.5 v. Bucks | 99-138 | Loss | -114 | 17 h 28 m | Show
Golden State at Milwaukee 2:30 ET Warriors (+) over Bucks- From what I've seen of the Warriors I'm beginning to wonder if the belong in this league. Granted losing Klay Thompson once again for a full season has doomed this franchise for another season. Along with Stephen Curry they were (are?) the best 'shooting guard' tandem in the league but with Draymon Green still out they don't have the defensive intensity needed and the pressure showed in Curry's terrible performance at Brooklyn on Tuesday. The Bucks had the best record in the NBA and still they have nothing to show for it while Golden State had the worst record in the league and got No. 1 pick James Wiseman out of the mix. Take the WARRIORS! |
12-23-20 | Spurs +2 v. Grizzlies | Top | 131-119 | Win | 100 | 6 h 24 m | Show |
San Antonio at Memphis 8:00 ET Spurs (+) over Grizzlies- Memphis who has the youngest roster in the NBA averaging just 24 years of age qualified as the 8th seed in last seasons playoffs but loss a one-game play-in game to Portland ended their surprising season. The Grizzlies had a strong preseason winning their first three while San Antonio failed to win a game going 0-3 and losing all three game by at least 13 points. This is Popovich at his best. Spurs are 5-1 ATS as underdogs and Memphis is 2-7 ATS in their last seven overall. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
12-23-20 | Heat v. Magic +5 | 107-113 | Win | 100 | 5 h 23 m | Show
Miami at Orlando 7:00 ET Magic (+) over Heat- It was just seven short weeks ago when the Miami Heat made their incredible run to the NBA Finals and they just may not be up to it this soon. Because of the short break between seasons and the knowledge of the grind ahead a number of players will be playing just a percentage of their normal minutes on the court and the one this affects the most is Jimmy Butler. Although the Magic seem to disappear at home going just 2-13-1 ATS in their last 16 as home underdogs they youth developed fast during the latter part of last season before the virus. Take ORLANDO! |
12-23-20 | Hornets v. Cavs +2.5 | 114-121 | Win | 100 | 5 h 22 m | Show
Charlotte at Cleveland 7:05 ET Cavaliers (+over Hornets- Guess what? Cleveland's Kevin Love is nursing a right calf strain and will sit out the opener, what a shock as he has missed 69 games the past two seasons. Charlotte meanwhile is off their final preseason loss to Orlando as LaMelo Ball was 1-of-10 from the floor. The Hornets closed last season 7-0-1 ATS but it is a new time and the Cavaliers are 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight games as home underdogs. Cavs center Andre Drummond averaged 17.2 points and 15.2 rebounds last season and said he is determined to be the NBA Defensive player of the year. It must start here. Take CLEVELAND! |
12-23-20 | Villanova v. Marquette +5 | Top | 85-68 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 44 m | Show |
Villanova at Marquette 7:00 ET Golden Eagles (+) over Wildcats- No. 5 Villanova has already beaten a pair of ranked teams in Texas and Arizona State and have run off five straight winners since their lone loss in overtime against Virginia Tech. Marquette has dropped 3-of-4 winning at Creighton but losing at UCLA and Xavier and falling to Seton Hall at home. The Wildcats are the better club but the Golden Eagles are in a in a foul mood should be ready to bring this one down to the final buzzer. Take MARQUETTE! |
12-23-20 | Illinois v. Penn State +4 | 98-81 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 13 m | Show
Illinois at Penn State 6:00 ET Nittany Lions (+) over Illini- The thing we should all remember about polls, is that they are mostly bias opinions that reveal little. No. 18 Illinois started the season as high as No. 5 in the polls and then they had to play some games and have lost three times, granted all of their losses came against ranked teams in Baylor, Rutgers and Missouri but they didn't win any of them. The Illini are 2-7 ATS in their last nine games against teams with winning records and 1-4 ATS in their last five on the road and the underdog in this series is 19-8-2 ATS in the last 29 meetings. Take PENN STATE! |
12-23-20 | Rutgers +3 v. Ohio State | 68-80 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 15 m | Show
Rutgers at Ohio State 4:30 ET Scarlet Knights (+) Buckeyes- No. 17 Rutgers (6-0) get a true test at No. 20 Ohio State (6-1) who responded to their first loss to Purdue with a healthy win Saturday over UCLA 77-70. The Buckeyes have added different players to the mix as some return and they depend on a number of inconsistent freshmen. Meanwhile., I usually don't back one-man-teams but when your leader is unstoppable he make everyone else better and the best player on the floor will be Ron Harper Jr. Scarlet Knights are 18-6-2 ATS against teams with winning records and are 7-3-1 ATS on the road while the Buckeyes are 20-8 ATS in their last 28 home games. So...take RUTGERS! |
12-22-20 | Clippers +3 v. Lakers | Top | 116-109 | Win | 100 | 24 h 35 m | Show |
L.A. Clippers at L. A. Lakers 10:00 ET Clippers (+) over Lakers- The defending NBA champion Lakers will open the season against the Clippers and their will be no home court advantage. Not only because fans won't be allowed to attend but of course because the Clippers and Lakers play in the same building. LAL went 4-0 in the preseason and with their off-season acquisitions many believe they are even stronger while LAC who was 0-3 in the preseason remained pat for the most part. Okay, he's meaningless support for 'our' side...Clippers are 7-0 ATS when playing the Lakers as visitors. Take CLIPPERS! |
12-22-20 | Purdue +7 v. Iowa | 55-70 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 60 m | Show
Purdue at Iowa 9:00 ET Boilermakers (+) over Hawkeyes- Usually I like for there have been more games played but with so many cancellations this one will serve 'our' purpose. I call it the 'Bang-Bang' theory where after an undefeated team is handed their first loss like Iowa against Gonzaga, after that they falter a second time the next time out (sort of like the Steelers this year) and they fall short. Purdue is off a 88-78 win at Notre Dame and has beaten the Hawkeyes four straight times and they are good enough to do it a fifth time. Take PURDUE! |
12-22-20 | Texas Tech v. Oklahoma +2 | 69-67 | Push | 0 | 16 h 1 m | Show
Texas Tech at Oklahoma 7:00 ET Sooners (+) over Red Raiders- Texas Tech was amped up for their home encounter with Kansas a 58-57 loss as the pressure of the meeting had them shooting tight and making just 32% of their shots from the field including 26% from 3-point range. Still, the Red Raiders have the No. 2 defense allowing just 52.4 ppg while Oklahoma's offense averages 85.3 ppg. Tech doesn't handle defeat very well as they are 7-19-7 ATS in their last 27 games after a straight-up loss. Add that the home team is 9-2-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings has me with the home dog. Take the SOONERS! |
12-22-20 | North Carolina v. NC State +1.5 | 76-79 | Win | 100 | 16 h 0 m | Show
North Carolina at N.C. State 7:00 ET Wolfpack over Tar Heels- It's a bit unusual for these two rivals to be opening their ACC schedule against each other but these are strange times. NC State has moved their home games to PNC Arena and the Wolfpack players love the venue. North Carolina is off a rout of Kentucky outscoring the Wildcats 41-19 over one stretch but unlike season's past the Tar Heels are sluggish offensively and are ranked No. 157 and their defense isn't so hot either ranked No. 115 surrendering 66.7 ppg. NC not the club the media makes them out to be as they are 5-13-1 ATS after a straight-up win. State is 5-1 ATS in their last six home games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall. Take the WOLFPACK! |

12-20-20 | Providence +4 v. Seton Hall | Top | 80-77 | Win | 100 | 6 h 3 m | Show |
Providence at Seton Hall 4:30 ET Friars (+) over Pirates- Just when they started putting it together with four straight wins Seton Hall is messing with their chemistry by adding two new faces into the mix at the same time. Providence hasn't played since dec 9 when they won 79-70 at TCU and should hungry to play Take PROVIDENCE! |
12-20-20 | Marquette +2.5 v. Xavier | 88-91 | Loss | -104 | 4 h 32 m | Show
Marquette at Xavier 2:00 ET Golden Eagles (+) over Musketeers- Xavier at 7-0 is unranked and haven't played a game since Dec. 9 and are off a 99-77 pounding of Oklahoma after a win at Cincinnati (which doesn't look so impressive now) and have Creighton on Wednesday. Look for the Golden Eagles to soar over the musketeers after losing last time out to Seton Hall 70-63. Take MARQUETTE! |
12-20-20 | Illinois v. Rutgers +2 | 88-91 | Win | 100 | 3 h 32 m | Show
Illinois at Rutgers 1:00 ET Scarlet Knights (+) over Illini- Watch out for the State University of New Jersey as they are making their mark on the gridiron in the Big Ten and now are ranked in the Top-20 at No. 19 for the first time since 1979. No. 13 Illinois was ranked No. 5 but is 5-2 and have played three ranked teams already including Baylor, Duke and Missouri. Knight good enough to win here. Take RUTGERS! |
12-19-20 | Cincinnati -124 v. Georgia | 68-83 | Loss | -124 | 9 h 26 m | Show
Cincinnati at Georgia 8:00 ET Bearcats over Bulldogs- Now let me get this because I don't want to feel like I'm missing anything. Cincinnati is 2-3 SU I know that for sure because I checked the records and they are 1-4 ATS to boot and they are playing on the road at Georgia (5-0) who is undefeated and the Bearcats opened the favorite. This has got to be the biggest 'Don't make sense' game of the season to date. And there is one thing that you must remember when you see something like this and that is to think like a bookie. Georgia's wins are over cream puffs like Samford, Montana, North Georgia, Jacksonville and Florida A&M while the Bearcats were sparring with Take CINCINNATI! |
12-19-20 | North Carolina v. Kentucky +3 | 75-63 | Loss | -108 | 3 h 25 m | Show
North Carolina at Kentucky 2:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Tar Heels- The two winningest schools in NCAA basketball history jump-it-up Saturday and both clubs are off to slow starts. Kentucky (1-4) won their opener against Morehead State and have dropped four straight since losing to a ranked Richmond team, a ranked Kansas, Notre Dame and Georgia Tech. The Wildcats issue is the lack of scoring as they average just 66 points shooting just 24% from behind the arc but play great defense allowing just 65 ppg. The Tar Heels have their own problems scoring as they are shooting 27% from 3-point range and just 67% from the free throw line. In need of a win take KENTUCKY! |
12-19-20 | Western Kentucky +5 v. Alabama | Top | 73-71 | Win | 100 | 3 h 28 m | Show |
Western Kentucky at Alabama 2:00 ET Hilltoppers (+) over Crimson Tide- Western Kentucky is 5-2 SU and only 2-5 ATS but have played some tough competition as their losses have come at the hands of Louisville and West Virginia while they have defeated a ranked Memphis team and Rhode Island. Alabama (4-2) has just one quality win over Providence and are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games overall and are only 3-9-1 ATS in their last 13 home games and 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 overall. The Hilltoppers are 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games. Take WESTERN KENTUCKY! |
12-17-20 | Seton Hall +4 v. Marquette | Top | 70-63 | Win | 100 | 10 h 13 m | Show |
Seton Hall at Marquette 9:00 ET Pirates (+) over Golden Eagles- After starting the season 1-3 Seton Hall has won three straight including their Big East opener a 77-68 win over St. John's last Friday and their Tuesday game against Xavier was postponed. Marquette has defeated a pair of ranked teams taking down No. 4 Wisconsin 67-65 two weeks ago and Creighton 89-84 on Monday. But, the Eagles are now favored and should have difficulty focusing and that means trouble as the Pirates have a surefire No.1 draft pick in Sandro Mamukelashvili (how 'bout dat) who posted 32 points shooting 12-of-18 with nine rebounds against a weak red Storm. Add that the road team is 21-7-1 ATS in the last 29 meetings and the underdog is 13-3 ATS in the last 16 meetings. Take SETON HALL! |
12-17-20 | Kansas v. Texas Tech -2.5 | 58-57 | Loss | -105 | 18 h 4 m | Show
Kansas at Texas Tech 7:00 ET Red Raiders over Jayhawks- A pair of 6-1 Big-12 combatants face each other in Lubbock as No. 5 Kansas and No. 14 Texas Tech play their conference opener for the first time ever before Christmas. The Jayhawks have won six straight after losing their season opener to No. 1 Gonzaga 102-90 while the Red Raiders lost 64-53 to No. 17 Houston. Tech is 4th in the nation on defense allowing just 51.6 ppg and holding opponents to just 35% FG's. Kansas is 10-3 ATS in their last 13 road games but just 2-5 ATS after a SU win and 2-12 ATS after a win by more than 20-points (95-50 last time out). Defense is the key...take TEXAS TECH! |
12-17-20 | Creighton v. St. John's +7.5 | 94-76 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 11 m | Show
Creighton at St. John's 7:00 ET Blue Jays (-) over Red Storm- This one can get interesting as the difference in styles will have to give at one time or another. St. John's is a more free-wheeling club that will press you on defense while the Bluejays will be more methodical as they commit fewer turnovers than most averaging just 9.5 but the Storm for 19 turnovers a game so it will be a battle of strengths. What it comes down to here is 'pressure defense' will wear down especially a road team playing just their second road game. Johnnies rebound from OT Georgetown loss. Take ST. JOHN'S! |
12-16-20 | Duke -3 v. Notre Dame | Top | 75-65 | Win | 100 | 10 h 57 m | Show |
Duke at Notre Dame 9:00 ET Fighting Irish over Blue Devils- It's bad enough that No. 21 Duke is 2-2 but, to be 0-4 ATS has the alumni grumbling and having lost to a pair of Big Ten teams falling to Michigan State and Illinois at home. The Blue Devils take to the road for the first time against a Notre Dame team off a 64-63 win over Kentucky scoring just 16 points in the second have hanging on for the win. The Fighting Irish also lost to a pair of Big Ten powers MSU and Ohio State and this will be this their fourth game against a ranked opponent as they go 0-4. It's a difficult task for a 'Devil' to win at this Catholic venue even if it's Blue but coach 'K' has made deals with the 'Devil' before. Take DUKE! |
12-16-20 | TCU +5 v. Oklahoma State | 77-76 | Win | 100 | 8 h 55 m | Show
TCU at Oklahoma State Horned Frogs (+) over Cowboys- Oklahoma State (6-0) is one of the hottest teams in the country having won 11 straight dating back to last season including their final three conference game. The Cowboys have also had an edge over the Horned frogs winning the last two and eight of the past nine at home. TCU who has struggled on the road 2-8 ATS L-10 do rise when playing better clubs with .600 winning % but still just 6-13 ATS after a SU win. OkSt just 1-4 ATS last five at home. Take HORNED FROGS! |
12-16-20 | Ohio State v. Purdue -4.5 | Top | 60-67 | Win | 100 | 8 h 56 m | Show |
Ohio State at Purdue 7:00 ET Boilermakers (+) over Buckeyes- This is another unusual situation where we an undefeated ranked team No. 20 Ohio State (5-0) an underdog against a two loss club. Purdue (4-2) lost twice on the road against Clemson and at Miami but are a perfect 4-0 at home against inferior competition but are also 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games against teams with winning records. The Buckeyes have winning trends all over the board but one spot, they are just 20-45 ATS on the road against winning teams above .600. It's the BOILERMAKERS! |
12-15-20 | Georgia Tech +8.5 v. Florida State | Top | 61-74 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 41 m | Show |
Georgia Tech at Florida State 8:30 ET Yellow Jackets (+) over Seminoles- One of the biggest and least known home-court advantages belongs to Florida State who is 3-0 this season and have a 26-game winning streak when playing as hosts and a has won 68-of-71 home games. One of those wins came against Clemson (2-2) who dropped a 70-58 decision in Tallahassee last season and have lost 14 of the last 16 meetings overall. But, the Tigers are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 road games and 10-4 ATS as road underdogs. Add that the road team is 12-5 ATS in the last 17 meetings and the underdog is 21-9 ATS in the last 30 meetings. After losing their first two the Yellow Jackets have bounced back with wins over Kentucky and Nebraska as their defense was the key factor. Take GEORGIA TECH! |
12-15-20 | Minnesota v. Illinois -8 | 65-92 | Win | 100 | 6 h 6 m | Show
Minnesota at Illinois 7:00 ET Illini (-) over Golden Gophers- No. 13 Illinois (4-2) host undefeated and unranked Minnesota (6-0) who will be playing their first road game of the season. Golden Gophers' coach Rich Pitino has the offense (84.2) cooking but will still have to go a bit as Illinois is scoring at an 88 point clip. The Illini return home where they won their first three before going 1-2 on a three game road trip losing to Baylor and Missouri on Saturday. Sad numbers for Minnesota as they are 2-6-2 ATS after a SU win and 1-4-1 ATS in last six as underdogs while the Illini are 7-2 ATS after a SU loss. Add that the home team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and the favorite is 23-9 ATS in the last 32 meetings. Take ILLINOIS! |
12-15-20 | Clemson v. Virginia Tech -120 | 60-66 | Win | 100 | 6 h 38 m | Show
Clemson at Virginia Tech 6:30 ET Hokies over Tigers- Undefeated but unranked Clemson (5-0) enters Blacksburg having yet to play a true road game. Defense has been the key for the Tigers who have held opponents to 35% shooting and only 51.4ppg ranking 4th in the nation. Virginia Tech is off a 75-55 beating at home by Penn State and has had a week to fix their offensive issues. ATS these two are on opposite side of the spectrum as the Tigers are 20-8 ATS after a SU win while Tech is 5-16 ATS in their last 21 games overall but the home team is 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings. Take VIRGINIA TECH! |
12-14-20 | Nevada v. San Diego +3.5 | 79-72 | Loss | -109 | 21 h 46 m | Show
Nevada at San Diego 9:00 ET Toreros (+) over Wolf Pack- It looks like the oddsmakers have done their homework because San Diego was one of the worst teams in the entire west and were just 2-14 in WCC one of the weakest conferences the country. Nevada has six games under their belts (4-2) while the Toreros are 0-1 having had the pleasure of opening at UCLA and getting crushed shooting under 30%. But, the 'books' opened this one at -3.5 and I believe I understand what they know. San Diego coach Sam Scholl has brought in three NCAA transfers from Missouri, Rice, W. Illinois and Duquesne and they are expected to have a major impact on the program's basketball team. The 'Book's believe it look at that 'number.' Take SAN DIEGO! |
12-14-20 | Marquette +7.5 v. Creighton | Top | 89-84 | Win | 100 | 21 h 49 m | Show |
Marquette at Creighton 9:00 ET Golden Eagles (+) over Blue Jays- Marquette was short-handed when they fell 69-60 at UCLA Friday night as they had numerous players either out or hampered and used several line-ups had little practice time and committed 18 turnovers. Creighton just destroyed intra-state rival Nebraska using a 30-7 surge leading to a 98-74 victory while forcing 25 turnovers. The Bluejays had an incredible shooting night scoring on 10 straight possessions and hitting 17-of-24 during one stretch while the former 'Warriors' were 4-of-20 from 3-point range against the Bruins including 0-for-11 in the second half. Take MARQUETTE! |
12-14-20 | Rutgers +2.5 v. Maryland | 74-60 | Win | 100 | 18 h 54 m | Show
Rutgers at Maryland 6:00 ET Scarlet Knights (+) over Terrapins- No. 21 Rutgers (4-0) takes their undefeated record and Top-25 ranking into College Park for their first road game of the season. Maryland (4-1) was handed their first loss at Clemson last time out in their first road game of the year as they scored only 15 points in the first half. Both clubs had stellar season's last year as the Terrapins shared the Big Ten title and the Scarlet Knights won their most conference games in 17 years going 11-9. The 'Jersey Boys' have four starters in double-figures including Ron Harper Jr. who leads both clubs with 26 points per. Take RUTGERS! |
12-12-20 | Oregon v. Washington +8.5 | 74-71 | Win | 100 | 9 h 16 m | Show
Oregon at Washington 8:00 ET Huskies (+) over Ducks- Most games have been moved on to campus' as large venues are not need but this game is being played in Seattle (riots aside). Oregon has won three straight since their opening loss to Missouri while Washington managed their first win 73-41 over Seattle after three straight road defeats. The Ducks have won and covered 6-of-7 meetings including the last three. The Huskies who have horrid ATS trends are beaming with confidence with Kentucky guard transfer Quade Green leading the way. This time around...take WASHINGTON! |
12-12-20 | Illinois v. Missouri +3.5 | Top | 78-81 | Win | 100 | 9 h 18 m | Show |
Illinois at Missouri 8:00 ET Tigers (+) over Illini- No. 6 Illinois (4-1) is coming off an 83-68 win at Duke and are looking for double revenge after having lost the last two meetings against Missouri. The unranked Tigers are 4-0 and are off to their best start in seven years. This should be an inside as the Illini have a strong middle with 7-0 Kofi Cockburn and 6-9 Giorgi Bezhanishnili while Mizzou will kill you with a trio of guards that average between 13.5 and 17.2 points apiece. Illinois has lost to Baylor and Missouri has defeated Oregon and Wichita State. Take the TIGERS! |
12-12-20 | Utah +2 v. BYU | 64-82 | Loss | -109 | 7 h 15 m | Show
Utah at B.Y.U. 6:00 ET Utes (+) over Cougars- These two are meetings for the 261st time and the series is as close as the 2-point spread as BYU has a 131-129 series edge having won 13 of the last 18 meetings. Last season Utah cut the margin by winning in overtime 102-95 but I doubt that a high scoring game like that will occur this time around as both clubs have offensive issues. But, none worse than the Cougars who shot 27% against USC and when scoreless the first 9:39 of the game against Boise State. Low prices gives Utes a solid chance. Take UTAH! |
12-11-20 | Marquette v. UCLA -4.5 | Top | 60-69 | Win | 100 | 20 h 41 m | Show |
Marquette at UCLA 10:00 ET Bruins (-) over 'Once Warriors'- A pair of 4-1 clubs that last met in 1964 when both side were coached by legends of their day and Hall of Fame members UCLA's John Wooden and Marquette's AL McGuire. The 'Legend of Westwood' got his Nat'l Champion Bruins to best (61-52) of the brash New York rookie coach that day, McGuire later captured his NCAA Championship (1977 vs NC), but hey just wanted to say I remember that as Gail Goodrich got the best of Cazzie Russel of Michigan in the 91-80 Finals victory as the star and MVP Bill Bradly led Princeton to the finals. Okay, so what...well the Bruins also defeated Marquette in Dec. 1949 but I was only nine months old and don't remember it but I like the 71-year and two game streak to continue. Take UCLA! PS-I could have written up some scenario but the answer would have been the same...BRUINS! |
12-11-20 | Villanova v. Georgetown +11.5 | 76-63 | Loss | -105 | 17 h 9 m | Show
Villanova at Georgetown 7:00 ET Hoyas (+) over Wildcats- It has been 39 years since these two met on the Georgetown campus as it has always been such a big event it would be played in the city. There is no need to play aware but a gym with fans not allowed to attend so, so much for home court advantage. Despite the loss Villanova has been wildcats on the road 10-2-1 ATS but the home team is 5-0 in the last five meetings. The Hoyas have been up to the task as they play 'up' to their competition as they are 7-2-1 ATS at home against teams with winning records over 60%. Take GEORGETOWN! |
12-11-20 | St. John's v. Seton Hall -5.5 | 68-77 | Win | 100 | 15 h 42 m | Show
St. John's at Seton Hall 4:30 ET Pirates (-) over Red Breeze- St. John's enters this Big East contest 5-1 while the hosting Pirates are 3-3 but have played much tougher competition. Seton Hall was beaten by Louisville, Rhode Island and Oregon with a win over Penn State. It's been a long time since the 'Storm' has been in contention in the Big East and they are 5-11-1 ATS when playing against teams with winning home records, while the home team is 22-8 ATS in the last 30 meetings. Number might seem a bit high but it is probably for good reason. Take SETON HALL! |
12-09-20 | Oklahoma +100 v. Xavier | 77-99 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 2 m | Show
Oklahoma at Xavier 8:00 ET Sooners (+) over Musketeers- A pair of undefeated teams meet where 6-0 Xavier will host their sixth home game after defeating intra-city rival Cincinnati Sunday 77-69. Oklahoma is just 2-0 and just won at TCU 82-78 Sunday as a 4.5-point beaten favorite. Sooners coach Lon Kruger has a pair of reliable seniors and a mix of young talent that can handle playing on the road where they are 5-2 ATS against teams with better than 60% or more. Xavier has four wins by a total of eight points, is just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall, just 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games and they are 1-5 ATS against teams with SU winning records. Take OKLAHOMA! |
12-09-20 | Indiana +3.5 v. Florida State | 67-69 | Win | 100 | 7 h 31 m | Show
Indiana at Florida State 7:25 ET Hoosiers (+) over Seminoles- The Hoosiers opened the season with a pair of impressive 30 and 21 points wins and then ran into Texas and were blown out by 22 points. But, they rebounded after their loss the following contest taking down Stanford 70-63 and showing character as a unit. No. 20 Florida State is 1-0 with an 86-58 rout of North Florida 86-58 as the team that finished 26-5 last season adjusts to three new starters with two going No. 4 and 11 in the NBA draft. With too many newcomers and only one game under their belts the Seminoles are at a disadvantage. Take INDIANA! |
12-09-20 | Furman +4 v. Cincinnati | 73-78 | Loss | -108 | 5 h 49 m | Show
Furman at Cincinnati 5:00 ET Paladins (+) over Bearcats- Well, after winning their first four games at home by 33, 28, 40 and 24 points Furman will be up against some real competition at Cincinnati and they are looking to prove that they are up to the task. The Bearcats fell short against rival Xavier as they faltered down the stretch Sunday dropping to 1-1 and will be playing their third straight home game. Cincy is 1-9 ATS in their last nine overall and 17-36 in their last 53 games overall. The Paladins are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games and 21-9-1 ATS after winning by 20 or more points... Take FURMAN! |
12-08-20 | Penn State +5.5 v. Virginia Tech | 75-55 | Win | 100 | 8 h 27 m | Show
Penn State at Virginia Tech 9:00 ET Nittany Lions (+) over Hokies- No. 19 Virginia Tech (45-0) already has some impressive victories including a 81-73 OT win over No. 3 Villanova while Penn State (2-1) was on their way to their third straight home win leading Seton Hall 29-10 and then dropped the game in overtime after leading for 39 minutes and 32 seconds (really) and led by eight with two minutes to go. Hokies with try and keep the tempo down while State will look to run the floor. This is the first road game for the Lions but they will play to the final buzzer tonight. Take PENN STATE! |
12-08-20 | Ohio State v. Notre Dame +6 | Top | 90-85 | Win | 100 | 7 h 58 m | Show |
Ohio State at Notre Dame 7:30 ET Fighting Irish (+) over Buckeyes- No. 23 Ohio State (3-0) has had the pleasure of beating up on three clubs at home where they were favored by a combined 71.5-points and they won all three by 71-points going 2-1 ATS. For Notre Dame it hasn't been so nice as they opened against No. 8 Michigan State and lost by 10 and then defeated Detroit-Mercy by eight and are 0-2. Both teams have four starters averaging double-digits with Prentiss Hubb of the Fighting Irish leading all scores with 23-ppg. Each club is dealing with injuries and the 'Shamrockers' are down to eight scholarship players. Buckeyes playing their first game on the road and against quality competition may well struggle here. You can only play with five at a time anyway...take NOTRE DAME! |
12-08-20 | Creighton +4 v. Kansas | 72-73 | Win | 100 | 4 h 26 m | Show
Creighton at Kansas 5:00 ET BlueJays (+) over Jayhawks- No. 7 Creighton (3-0) travels to Lawrence to takes on No. 5 Kansas (4-1) is what should be a well played well coached college basketball games and well worth watching. The Bluejays were favored by 81.5-points and played 8-points under the 'number' going 1-2 ATS. This being Creighton first road game may raise some concern but there are no fans in attendance and this is a 'national' game for them with more significance and they are 7-1 ATS last-8 against teams winning records over .600. Take CREIGHTON! |
12-06-20 | Seton Hall +2.5 v. Penn State | Top | 98-92 | Win | 100 | 6 h 54 m | Show |
Seton Hall at Penn State 8:00 ET Pirates (+) over Nittany Lions- After opening with a 71-70 loss at Louisville, Seton Hall bounced back to win their first of the season against Rick Pitino and Iona but have dropped a pair since losing bat Rhode Island and to No. 21 Oregon in Omaha, NE. But, the Pirates are 51-25 ATS in their last 76 games as road underdogs while Penn State is 1-7 ATS in their last eight games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and as favorites. Take SETON HALL! |
12-06-20 | Kentucky v. Georgia Tech +6.5 | 62-79 | Win | 100 | 3 h 55 m | Show
Kentucky at Georgia Tech 5:00 ET Yellow Jackets (+) over Wildcats- Both of these clubs are off to rocky starts as No. 10 Kentucky has dropped 2-of-3 while Georgia Tech is still looking for their first victory after losing a pair. The Wildcats at least can claim they were beaten by big name schools in Kansas and Richmond whereas the Yellow Jackets were beaten by Georgia State and Mercer as favorites. Despite their two losses GT is a high scoring group averaging 96.5 points in their losses while the Cats ranked No. 203 averaging just 69 points. Take the points...take GEORGIA TECH! |
12-04-20 | Wisconsin -3.5 v. Marquette | Top | 65-67 | Loss | -106 | 21 h 7 m | Show |
Wisconsin at Marquette 7:00 ET Badgers (-) over Golden Eagles- Wisconsin (3-0) is a deep veteran team that was making a run when the season closed down last March winning their final eight and have started with three straight this season. Marquette (2-1) fell short against Oklahoma State Tuesday as they weren't able to crack the Cowboys zone shooting just 8-foe-31 in the second half. If they think OK St can play defense wait until they get a load of the Badgers. Both coaches preach defense first so this should a low scoring game with the Badgers controlling the tempo. Take WISCONSIN! |
12-02-20 | Illinois +5 v. Baylor | Top | 69-82 | Loss | -109 | 10 h 42 m | Show |
Illinois vs Baylor 10:00 ET Illini (+) over Bears- Oh my...this is one to watch! No. 2 Baylor (2-0) is to meet No. 1 Gonzaga on Saturday in Indianapolis but must contend with No. 5 Illinois today and they are beasts on both ends of the floor. Baylor of course is averaging 99 points per game and the Illini counter with 98.7 ppg but the difference comes at the other end of the floor where the Bears allow 67 ppg Illinois defense is allowing 57.5 ppg. They also are No. 2 in the nation in rebounds with 50.7! Take ILLINOIS! |
12-02-20 | Oregon v. Missouri +4 | 75-83 | Win | 100 | 9 h 41 m | Show
Missouri vs Oregon 9:00 ET Tigers (+) over Ducks- This one just looks a bit out of whack as No. 20 ranked Oregon (0-0) opened a meager 4-point favorite over unranked Missouri (1-0) who has an impressive 91-64 romp over oral Roberts. The Ducks closed the 2019-20 season strong going 6-1 SU and ATS finishing with four straight wins before COVID changed everything. This game is in Omaha and the trip will be somewhat easier for the Tigers and this one should go down to the final horn. Take MISSOURI! |
12-02-20 | West Virginia +9 v. Gonzaga | 82-87 | Win | 100 | 7 h 44 m | Show
West Virginia vs Gonzaga 7:00 ET Mountaineers (+) over Bulldogs- No. 1 Gonzaga (2-0) opens the Jimmy V Classic against No. 16 West Virginia (3-0) in Indianapolis replacing Tennessee who cancelled because of COVID-19. There are questions now surrounding the virus and may be sidelined. I like the Mountaineers here mostly because Bob Huggins made the call and requested the chance to play the nation's top ranked team. The Bulldogs average 96 points per game a and it is Huggins stye to slow the opposition down and knock them off their tempo. In 2017 Sweet-16 Gonzaga defeated the Mountaineers 61-58 reaching the Final game. This time that will be good enough. Take WEST VIRGINIA! |
11-30-20 | Indiana v. Providence +1.5 | 79-58 | Loss | -115 | 16 h 41 m | Show
Indiana vs Providence 2:30 ET Friars (+) over Hoosiers- This is the 'Maui Invitational' and it is being played in Asheville, N.C. as both clubs enter 1-0 after squashing inferior opponents. Indiana took Tennessee Tech by 30-points in and 89-59 beatdown while Providence won by 41 points over hapless Fairfield 97-56. The Hoosiers have been inconsistent under Archie Miller as they are just 3-8 ATS after an ATS win while the Friars under coach Ed Cooley are 6-0 ATS in their last six games overall. Both coaches stress defense first but will run guards based offense. Instinct directs me to the Friars...Take PROVIDENCE! |
10-11-20 | Lakers v. Heat +5 | Top | 106-93 | Loss | -100 | 19 h 12 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers vs Miami 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Heat- Yesterday, I didn't believe the Heat would lose again and win out in the series, but reality set in and although LA won the game Game 4 'we' did get the money. Now, we are in a position with Miami it is a chance to win and continue the series or keep it close so that we can get they money and they can go play golf or what ever they do in Miami during the off season. L.A. Lakers vs Miami 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Heat- Yesterday, I didn't believe the Heat would lose again and win out in the series, but reality set in and although LA won the game 'we' did get the money. But, what it did was relieve any pressure there're might have been on the Lakers and they done feel like messing around with an extra game by not taking care of business tonight. Miami knows where they are and will ailing players in the line-up they will die slowly but surely die. Take LOS ANGELES! |
10-06-20 | Lakers v. Heat +7.5 | Top | 102-96 | Win | 100 | 10 h 51 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers vs Miami 9:00 ET Heat (+) over Lakers- I could not have more off-base than what I predicted in Game 3 as Miami showed their grit and took it to the Lakers from start to finish winning 115-104. The Heat are brimming with confidence as Jimmy Butler's 'triple-double' wasn't enough of a statement until he boasts 'we won't lose again!' Los Angeles may have something to say about that as they have yet to lose back-to-back games and that may be so but they are 2-8-1 ATS after an ATS loss. Now, like when I hear a pitcher or quarterback say 'it's just another game' when it is more than just another game. The last to say it was Lamar Jackson before the Ravens against Kansas City on Monday night and he got smoked as they always do. In the same vein James says after his eight turnover performance, 'We're not concerned'....he should be! Miami is 14-4 ATS in their last 18 games overall. Enough for me! Take the HEAT! |
10-04-20 | Lakers -9.5 v. Heat | Top | 104-115 | Loss | -107 | 20 h 20 m | Show |
Miami vs L.A. Lakers 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Heat- Okay Miami has given it the 'old college try'...but will fall short and the Lake Show is just beginning. With all the injuries growing The Heat have cooled off and LA is primed to sweep the series. Lebron as I said before is on a mission and will not be denied and along with Anthony Davis who has never been a winner in the pro ranks and came to LA for this sole purpose. I could go on with all kinds of numbers both good and bad on either side but it's just a matter of the Lakers finishing business. Take LOS ANGELES LAKERS! |
10-02-20 | Heat +10 v. Lakers | 114-124 | Push | 0 | 11 h 35 m | Show
Miami vs L.A. Lakers 9:00 ET Heat (+) over Lakers- After their Game 1 debacle Miami finds themselves in an even deeper hole than they could have imagined as they will be without two of their main cogs. Injuries to guard Goran Dragic and center Ben Adebayo have left the Heat short-handed and they need every bit of manpower to deal with the Lakers superior inside play. LA out rebounded Miami 54-36 in Game 1 and I'm sure the Heat will make some adjustments. The line has been adjusted from 4.5 to 9.5 and will probably go higher. Take MIAMI! |
09-30-20 | Heat v. Lakers -4.5 | Top | 98-116 | Win | 100 | 22 h 50 m | Show |
Miami vs L.A. Lakers 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Heat- The Heat won their last NBA Championship in 2013, their second of back-to-back titles over San Antonio and were led of course by LeBron James and I must give him props returning to the Finals once again. Miami like Los Angeles has won 12 of 15 playoff games and will have to measure up to the bigger Lakers inside by being more physical. L.A. has scored 44-points per game in the paint shooting 71% both leagues highs by wide margins. The Heat will need for their outside shooters to be on the mark to compete and they will use a 2-3 to stack the paint but, it won''t matter as LeBron is still muttering about the 'disrespectful' MVP vote. Take the LAKERS! |
09-27-20 | Celtics -3 v. Heat | Top | 113-125 | Loss | -103 | 8 h 38 m | Show |
Miami vs Boston 7:30 ET Celtics (-) over Heat- The Celtics have managed to survive their own attitude and now are two wins away from the NBA Finals. Boston had to make some adjustments as Miami came out determined in this series pushing the Celts to the brink of elimination. But, Boston survived and now have the psychological edge, as they have regained their confidence and are 24-9 ATS as playoff favorites. The Heat have been tough but are just 5-11 ATS versus Boston. Take the4 CELTICS! |
09-26-20 | Nuggets v. Lakers -5 | 107-117 | Win | 100 | 10 h 18 m | Show
L.A. Lakers vs Denver 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Nuggets- Los Angeles up 3-1 in this series are well aware of Denver's resolve and determination not to quit. Trailing 3-1 in the past two series against the Jazz and Clippers the Nuggets managed to overcome to odds and win both series to face the Lakers in the Western Finals. The Lakers as a franchise have not lost a playoff series in which they lead 2-0 since 1969 when the lost to the Celtics. This time they will not need the dramatics...Take LOS ANGELES! |
09-25-20 | Heat v. Celtics UNDER 213.5 | Top | 108-121 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 2 m | Show |
Miami and Boston 8:30 ET Heat/Celtics- UNDER- I've had this series 'clocked' with the winning side in all four Eastern Final meetings. This time around Boston is facing elimination and the first thing they will do is get back to basics and that starts with defense. The Celtics are the club that is fighting for survival and respond to losses by going 6-1 Under after a straight-up loss and 12-5 UNDER in their last 17 overall. Miami has played to the UNDER in six of their last eight against teams with winning records. Take the UNDER! |
09-24-20 | Lakers -6 v. Nuggets | Top | 114-108 | Push | 0 | 11 h 58 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers vs Denver 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Nuggets- Will the real L.A. Lakers please stand-up! After taking a 2-0 lead over Denver when it looked as though the Nuggets couldn't handle the 'Lakesters' big two of Lebron James and Anthony Davis. But, this 'Mile-High City' club just doesn't quit and we have seen that as the recovered from 3-1 deficits against both Utah and the Clippers. LA has struggled withy Denver during the regular season going just 10-21 ATS in the last 31 meetings, but that is regular season action. Denver is 5-1 ATS in the Playoffs as an underdog. Still, one sure thing about these NBA Playoffs just when you think a team is 'done' they will bounce back. It doesn't look like the Lakers could cover a pot with a lid but of course this pot has gold in it. Take LOS ANGELES! |
09-23-20 | Celtics v. Heat +3.5 | Top | 109-112 | Win | 100 | 10 h 46 m | Show |
Boston and Miami 8:30 ET Heat (+) over Celtics- Okay, Miami is up 2-1 in games but the stats between the clubs are virtually dead even from points, to rebounds to assists and free throws. Then what will be the difference maker today...it's Jimmy Butler! Teams this deep in the playoffs should have positive trends and they both do. Boston is 23-8-1 ATS in their last 32 playoffs games although they are just 1-4 ATS in their last five in the Conference Finals. Miami is 10-2 ATS in the playoffs including their loss on Saturday and the Heat are an amazing 24-8-2 (75%) after a straight-up loss. Defense is the key as the Heat play it better. Take MIAMI! |
09-22-20 | Lakers -6.5 v. Nuggets | Top | 106-114 | Loss | -107 | 11 h 41 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers vs Denver 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Nuggets- Los Angeles up 2-0 in this series are well aware of Denver's resolve and determination not to quit. Trailing 3-1 in the past two series against the Jazz and Clippers the Nuggets managed to overcome to odds and win both series to face the Lakers in the Western Finals. The Lakers as a franchise have not lost a playoff series in which they lede 2-0 since 1969 when the lost to the Celtics. LA was up double figures in the fourth but needed a buzzer beater bye Anthony Davis to get by. This time they will not need the dramatics...Take LOS ANGELES! |
09-20-20 | Nuggets v. Lakers -7.5 | 103-105 | Loss | -110 | 20 h 0 m | Show
Denver vs L.A. Lakers 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Nuggets- You know I'm not a big fan of the media as I think most of what they do is self-serving and often way too bias and not always in the political arena. Now, 'they' have gone too far, now they have done something so egregious that I doin't know if the Denver Nuggets can ever survive. LeBron James is 'pissed off' that he only received 16 first-place votes for MVP placing him second behind Giannis Antetokounmpo. James claims placing second isn't the issue...'Okay, but only 16 votes'. I still believe there no greater honor then being voted into an All-Star Game or receiving an award like this (MVP) than being selected by your peers. That's the respect you want the truth for you opponents. So, now the Nuggets will pay the price as LeBron take revenge on the world. I really think this series is over and Denver will be lucky to win one game...Take LOS ANGELES! |
09-19-20 | Celtics -138 v. Heat | Top | 117-106 | Win | 100 | 21 h 37 m | Show |
Boston vs Miami 8:30 ET Celtics over Heat- (ML or ATS)- The Celtics find themselves in deep do-do after blowing 17 and 14 point leads in Games 1 and 2. I don't want to say that they were crying in the locker room after the Game 2 loss but coach Brad Stevens had to be the grown-up in the room and met Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker (who has been just terrible) and soothed their fragile egos. Miami has the 'Mojo' and has won 10 of 11 since the Playoffs started and it looks like they just don't have the time to fool around. The Heat are tough against the Bean-Towner's going 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings. Jimmy Butler is 'the' force that has to be reckoned with and if Steven's club will listen to him they will be able to balance off Butler and pray Kemba regains his touch. In a must situation I do not want lay more than 1-point (Play Money line). If is have to play it at -2.5 or -3 so be it. In baseball 'we' don't think too much of having to lay -140 so if you can get it under that price, I say go for it. Celts are 22-8-1 ATS in their last 31 playoff games as the favorite. The pressure is on and Boston must deliver or it's off to the links...A GREAT game to watch...take BOSTON! |

09-18-20 | Nuggets v. Lakers -7 | Top | 114-126 | Win | 100 | 11 h 33 m | Show |
Denver vs L.A. Lakers 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Nuggets- Denver has accomplished a feat never done before in the NBA and that is win two separate playoff series after trailing three games to one. After defeating the LA Clippers 104-89 in Game 7 in which they held the Clippers scoreless for seven minutes in the final quarter and kept Kawhi Leonard and Paul George with a point in the fourth quarter. Denver is playing in their first conference Final since 2009 when they fell to the Lakers in six games. The Nuggets are 19-9 ATS in the last 28 meetings but LA is 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall. These two are used to playing high scoring games as the total between these two is 20-7-2 to the Over. Take the LAKERS! |
09-17-20 | Heat v. Celtics UNDER 209.5 | 106-101 | Win | 100 | 9 h 47 m | Show
Miami vs Boston 7:00 ET Heat/Celtics UNDER- This the NBA Playoffs and defense is king. These two one of which will represent the East in the Finals both play good defense as a general rule and now their talents are amped up. Miami has played Under in 7 of their last 10 and Boston is 8-2 Under in their last 10. The Celtics have gone Under 7-1 after playing on one days rest and these two have gone Under 7-3 in their last 10 meetings. Play UNDER! Thank you and Good Luck! |

Denver vs L.A. Clippers 9:00 ET Clippers (-) over Nuggets- Los Angeles was having so much fun and then they looked at the scoreboard and saw that they had a 19-point lead and they started thinking about the Lakers for the second straight hame and blew another chance to end this series. Yep, well Denver was only thinking about surviving. But, this Los Angeles team has never won anything and knows that they still have to prove themselves and will taking nothing for granted this time around and add the Clippers are 21-7 ATS following a straight-up loss. Take L.A. CLIPPERS! |
09-13-20 | Clippers -8.5 v. Nuggets | Top | 98-111 | Loss | -102 | 3 h 39 m | Show |
L.A. Clippers vs Denver 1:00 ET Clippers (-) over Nuggets- Los Angeles was having so much fun and then they looked at the scoreboard and saw that they had a 15-point lead and they started thinking about the Lakers. Yep, well Denver was only thinking about surviving. After that the Nuggets played 'desperation ball' and found gold and out-scored the shocked Clippers by 21-points for the 111-105 win. But, this Los Angeles team has never won anything and knows that they still have to prove themselves and will taking nothing for granted this time around and add the Clippers are 21-6 ATS following a straight-up loss. Take L.A. CLIPPERS! |
09-12-20 | Rockets +6.5 v. Lakers | Top | 96-119 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 47 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers vs Houston 8:30 ET Rockets (+) over Lakers- Well, when I hear a team has 'no shot' and everyone has counted them out and are starting to look toward the next matchup funny things can happen. James Harden has been his usually playoff self which is so sub-par (just 2 field goals in Game 4). Houston hasn't changed much in recent seasons they will try and out-run you and out gun you and when they are 'on' they are tough to beat. The problems with shooting teams is the streaks they incur. Really no pressure here on Rockets most thinking they are already dead...Take HOUSTON! |
09-11-20 | Celtics v. Raptors +3 | Top | 92-87 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 25 m | Show |
Boston vs Toronto 9:00 ET Raptors (+) over Celtics- The well balanced Boston Celtics in the back of their minds have to be thinking 'what if' that miracle shot that won Game 3 fell short. Instead of a commanding 3-0 lead the Celtics now find themselves 3-3 and in a do-or-die game. Kemba Walker had one of his worst nights of the season and still it took Toronto two overtimes to defeat Boston to tie the series. Karma is a bitch...take CLIPPERS! |
09-11-20 | Nuggets +8 v. Clippers | 111-105 | Win | 100 | 8 h 48 m | Show
Denver vs L.A. Clippers 6:30 ET Nuggets (+) over Clippers- No. 3 seed Denver is once again down 3-1 in a playoff series and most regroup immediately for the series to continue. The Nuggets need to get off to a quick start as the trailed the entire game in the last meeting. The Clippers are where they expected to be and are anxious to play in the Western Finals and will be playing with confidence and the knowledge that they have some leeway with a 3-1 in games advantage, Take NUGGETS! |
09-10-20 | Lakers v. Rockets +5 | Top | 110-100 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 56 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers vs Houston 8:30 ET Rockets (+) over Lakers- When looking at this series I get the feeling that the :Lakers are blowing Houston out, but that's not the case as the series is just 2-1 LA and today is Game 4. Houston hasn't changed much in recent seasons they will try and out-run you and out gun you and when they are on they are tough to beat. The problems with shooting teams is the streaks they incur. All that goes by the wayside while Rockets play the Lakers as they dominated L.A. in recent years and are 17-10 ATS in the last 27 meetings and the Lakers are 6-10 ATS as favorites and just 6-11 ATS in their last 17 games overall. Take HOUSTON! |
09-09-20 | Clippers -8 v. Nuggets | 96-85 | Win | 100 | 11 h 55 m | Show
L.A. Clippers vs Denver 9:00 ET Clippers (-) over Nuggets- The difference in this series for the Nuggets compared to their last series against Utah is Jamal Murray. Against the Jazz Murray posted games with 50,42 and 50 points in three straight games but as of now he has scored 17 or less in three of four games with a low of 12 points in Game 1 of this series. L.A is 7-3 ATS as favorites and 17-8 ATS overall in their last 25. Take CLIPPERS! |
09-09-20 | Raptors +3.5 v. Celtics | Top | 125-122 | Win | 100 | 8 h 22 m | Show |
Toronto vs Boston 6:30 ET Raptors (+) over Celtics- The well balanced Boston Celtics are one win away from the Eastern Conference Finals and the Raptors find themselves in the same position as last season, down 3-2 in a seven game series. Both these clubs have been great all season long and trends say that both of these clubs are worthy of a wager. Even with Serge Ibaka in a walking boot the Raptors will be all in. So take TORONTO! |
09-08-20 | Lakers v. Rockets +5 | 112-102 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 28 m | Show
Houston vs L.A. Lakers 8:30 ET Rockets (+) over Lakers- Houston who has not had the respect of NBA pundits who just don't believe in 'small ball' and little respect for any team that doesn't play much defense. All that goes by the wayside while Rockets play the Lakers as they dominated L.A. in recent years and are 17-9 ATS in the last 26 meetings. Houston is 5-2 ATS in their last seven as underdogs and the Lakers are 5-10 ATS as favorites and just 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games overall. Take HOUSTON! |
