12-08-20 | Penn State +5.5 v. Virginia Tech | 75-55 | Win | 100 | 8 h 27 m | Show
Penn State at Virginia Tech 9:00 ET Nittany Lions (+) over Hokies- No. 19 Virginia Tech (45-0) already has some impressive victories including a 81-73 OT win over No. 3 Villanova while Penn State (2-1) was on their way to their third straight home win leading Seton Hall 29-10 and then dropped the game in overtime after leading for 39 minutes and 32 seconds (really) and led by eight with two minutes to go. Hokies with try and keep the tempo down while State will look to run the floor. This is the first road game for the Lions but they will play to the final buzzer tonight. Take PENN STATE! |
12-08-20 | Ohio State v. Notre Dame +6 | Top | 90-85 | Win | 100 | 7 h 58 m | Show |
Ohio State at Notre Dame 7:30 ET Fighting Irish (+) over Buckeyes- No. 23 Ohio State (3-0) has had the pleasure of beating up on three clubs at home where they were favored by a combined 71.5-points and they won all three by 71-points going 2-1 ATS. For Notre Dame it hasn't been so nice as they opened against No. 8 Michigan State and lost by 10 and then defeated Detroit-Mercy by eight and are 0-2. Both teams have four starters averaging double-digits with Prentiss Hubb of the Fighting Irish leading all scores with 23-ppg. Each club is dealing with injuries and the 'Shamrockers' are down to eight scholarship players. Buckeyes playing their first game on the road and against quality competition may well struggle here. You can only play with five at a time anyway...take NOTRE DAME! |
12-08-20 | Creighton +4 v. Kansas | 72-73 | Win | 100 | 4 h 26 m | Show
Creighton at Kansas 5:00 ET BlueJays (+) over Jayhawks- No. 7 Creighton (3-0) travels to Lawrence to takes on No. 5 Kansas (4-1) is what should be a well played well coached college basketball games and well worth watching. The Bluejays were favored by 81.5-points and played 8-points under the 'number' going 1-2 ATS. This being Creighton first road game may raise some concern but there are no fans in attendance and this is a 'national' game for them with more significance and they are 7-1 ATS last-8 against teams winning records over .600. Take CREIGHTON! |
12-06-20 | Seton Hall +2.5 v. Penn State | Top | 98-92 | Win | 100 | 6 h 54 m | Show |
Seton Hall at Penn State 8:00 ET Pirates (+) over Nittany Lions- After opening with a 71-70 loss at Louisville, Seton Hall bounced back to win their first of the season against Rick Pitino and Iona but have dropped a pair since losing bat Rhode Island and to No. 21 Oregon in Omaha, NE. But, the Pirates are 51-25 ATS in their last 76 games as road underdogs while Penn State is 1-7 ATS in their last eight games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and as favorites. Take SETON HALL! |
12-06-20 | Kentucky v. Georgia Tech +6.5 | 62-79 | Win | 100 | 3 h 55 m | Show
Kentucky at Georgia Tech 5:00 ET Yellow Jackets (+) over Wildcats- Both of these clubs are off to rocky starts as No. 10 Kentucky has dropped 2-of-3 while Georgia Tech is still looking for their first victory after losing a pair. The Wildcats at least can claim they were beaten by big name schools in Kansas and Richmond whereas the Yellow Jackets were beaten by Georgia State and Mercer as favorites. Despite their two losses GT is a high scoring group averaging 96.5 points in their losses while the Cats ranked No. 203 averaging just 69 points. Take the points...take GEORGIA TECH! |
12-04-20 | Wisconsin -3.5 v. Marquette | Top | 65-67 | Loss | -106 | 21 h 7 m | Show |
Wisconsin at Marquette 7:00 ET Badgers (-) over Golden Eagles- Wisconsin (3-0) is a deep veteran team that was making a run when the season closed down last March winning their final eight and have started with three straight this season. Marquette (2-1) fell short against Oklahoma State Tuesday as they weren't able to crack the Cowboys zone shooting just 8-foe-31 in the second half. If they think OK St can play defense wait until they get a load of the Badgers. Both coaches preach defense first so this should a low scoring game with the Badgers controlling the tempo. Take WISCONSIN! |
12-02-20 | Illinois +5 v. Baylor | Top | 69-82 | Loss | -109 | 10 h 42 m | Show |
Illinois vs Baylor 10:00 ET Illini (+) over Bears- Oh my...this is one to watch! No. 2 Baylor (2-0) is to meet No. 1 Gonzaga on Saturday in Indianapolis but must contend with No. 5 Illinois today and they are beasts on both ends of the floor. Baylor of course is averaging 99 points per game and the Illini counter with 98.7 ppg but the difference comes at the other end of the floor where the Bears allow 67 ppg Illinois defense is allowing 57.5 ppg. They also are No. 2 in the nation in rebounds with 50.7! Take ILLINOIS! |
12-02-20 | Oregon v. Missouri +4 | 75-83 | Win | 100 | 9 h 41 m | Show
Missouri vs Oregon 9:00 ET Tigers (+) over Ducks- This one just looks a bit out of whack as No. 20 ranked Oregon (0-0) opened a meager 4-point favorite over unranked Missouri (1-0) who has an impressive 91-64 romp over oral Roberts. The Ducks closed the 2019-20 season strong going 6-1 SU and ATS finishing with four straight wins before COVID changed everything. This game is in Omaha and the trip will be somewhat easier for the Tigers and this one should go down to the final horn. Take MISSOURI! |
12-02-20 | West Virginia +9 v. Gonzaga | 82-87 | Win | 100 | 7 h 44 m | Show
West Virginia vs Gonzaga 7:00 ET Mountaineers (+) over Bulldogs- No. 1 Gonzaga (2-0) opens the Jimmy V Classic against No. 16 West Virginia (3-0) in Indianapolis replacing Tennessee who cancelled because of COVID-19. There are questions now surrounding the virus and may be sidelined. I like the Mountaineers here mostly because Bob Huggins made the call and requested the chance to play the nation's top ranked team. The Bulldogs average 96 points per game a and it is Huggins stye to slow the opposition down and knock them off their tempo. In 2017 Sweet-16 Gonzaga defeated the Mountaineers 61-58 reaching the Final game. This time that will be good enough. Take WEST VIRGINIA! |
11-30-20 | Indiana v. Providence +1.5 | 79-58 | Loss | -115 | 16 h 41 m | Show
Indiana vs Providence 2:30 ET Friars (+) over Hoosiers- This is the 'Maui Invitational' and it is being played in Asheville, N.C. as both clubs enter 1-0 after squashing inferior opponents. Indiana took Tennessee Tech by 30-points in and 89-59 beatdown while Providence won by 41 points over hapless Fairfield 97-56. The Hoosiers have been inconsistent under Archie Miller as they are just 3-8 ATS after an ATS win while the Friars under coach Ed Cooley are 6-0 ATS in their last six games overall. Both coaches stress defense first but will run guards based offense. Instinct directs me to the Friars...Take PROVIDENCE! |
10-11-20 | Lakers v. Heat +5 | Top | 106-93 | Loss | -100 | 19 h 12 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers vs Miami 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Heat- Yesterday, I didn't believe the Heat would lose again and win out in the series, but reality set in and although LA won the game Game 4 'we' did get the money. Now, we are in a position with Miami it is a chance to win and continue the series or keep it close so that we can get they money and they can go play golf or what ever they do in Miami during the off season. Take MIAMI! |
10-09-20 | Heat v. Lakers -7 | 111-108 | Loss | -110 | 49 h 35 m | Show
L.A. Lakers vs Miami 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Heat- Yesterday, I didn't believe the Heat would lose again and win out in the series, but reality set in and although LA won the game 'we' did get the money. But, what it did was relieve any pressure there're might have been on the Lakers and they done feel like messing around with an extra game by not taking care of business tonight. Miami knows where they are and will ailing players in the line-up they will die slowly but surely die. Take LOS ANGELES! |
10-06-20 | Lakers v. Heat +7.5 | Top | 102-96 | Win | 100 | 10 h 51 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers vs Miami 9:00 ET Heat (+) over Lakers- I could not have more off-base than what I predicted in Game 3 as Miami showed their grit and took it to the Lakers from start to finish winning 115-104. The Heat are brimming with confidence as Jimmy Butler's 'triple-double' wasn't enough of a statement until he boasts 'we won't lose again!' Los Angeles may have something to say about that as they have yet to lose back-to-back games and that may be so but they are 2-8-1 ATS after an ATS loss. Now, like when I hear a pitcher or quarterback say 'it's just another game' when it is more than just another game. The last to say it was Lamar Jackson before the Ravens against Kansas City on Monday night and he got smoked as they always do. In the same vein James says after his eight turnover performance, 'We're not concerned'....he should be! Miami is 14-4 ATS in their last 18 games overall. Enough for me! Take the HEAT! |
10-04-20 | Lakers -9.5 v. Heat | Top | 104-115 | Loss | -107 | 20 h 20 m | Show |
Miami vs L.A. Lakers 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Heat- Okay Miami has given it the 'old college try'...but will fall short and the Lake Show is just beginning. With all the injuries growing The Heat have cooled off and LA is primed to sweep the series. Lebron as I said before is on a mission and will not be denied and along with Anthony Davis who has never been a winner in the pro ranks and came to LA for this sole purpose. I could go on with all kinds of numbers both good and bad on either side but it's just a matter of the Lakers finishing business. Take LOS ANGELES LAKERS! |
10-02-20 | Heat +10 v. Lakers | 114-124 | Push | 0 | 11 h 35 m | Show
Miami vs L.A. Lakers 9:00 ET Heat (+) over Lakers- After their Game 1 debacle Miami finds themselves in an even deeper hole than they could have imagined as they will be without two of their main cogs. Injuries to guard Goran Dragic and center Ben Adebayo have left the Heat short-handed and they need every bit of manpower to deal with the Lakers superior inside play. LA out rebounded Miami 54-36 in Game 1 and I'm sure the Heat will make some adjustments. The line has been adjusted from 4.5 to 9.5 and will probably go higher. Take MIAMI! |
09-30-20 | Heat v. Lakers -4.5 | Top | 98-116 | Win | 100 | 22 h 50 m | Show |
Miami vs L.A. Lakers 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Heat- The Heat won their last NBA Championship in 2013, their second of back-to-back titles over San Antonio and were led of course by LeBron James and I must give him props returning to the Finals once again. Miami like Los Angeles has won 12 of 15 playoff games and will have to measure up to the bigger Lakers inside by being more physical. L.A. has scored 44-points per game in the paint shooting 71% both leagues highs by wide margins. The Heat will need for their outside shooters to be on the mark to compete and they will use a 2-3 to stack the paint but, it won''t matter as LeBron is still muttering about the 'disrespectful' MVP vote. Take the LAKERS! |
09-27-20 | Celtics -3 v. Heat | Top | 113-125 | Loss | -103 | 8 h 38 m | Show |
Miami vs Boston 7:30 ET Celtics (-) over Heat- The Celtics have managed to survive their own attitude and now are two wins away from the NBA Finals. Boston had to make some adjustments as Miami came out determined in this series pushing the Celts to the brink of elimination. But, Boston survived and now have the psychological edge, as they have regained their confidence and are 24-9 ATS as playoff favorites. The Heat have been tough but are just 5-11 ATS versus Boston. Take the4 CELTICS! |
09-26-20 | Nuggets v. Lakers -5 | 107-117 | Win | 100 | 10 h 18 m | Show
L.A. Lakers vs Denver 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Nuggets- Los Angeles up 3-1 in this series are well aware of Denver's resolve and determination not to quit. Trailing 3-1 in the past two series against the Jazz and Clippers the Nuggets managed to overcome to odds and win both series to face the Lakers in the Western Finals. The Lakers as a franchise have not lost a playoff series in which they lead 2-0 since 1969 when the lost to the Celtics. This time they will not need the dramatics...Take LOS ANGELES! |
09-25-20 | Heat v. Celtics UNDER 213.5 | Top | 108-121 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 2 m | Show |
Miami and Boston 8:30 ET Heat/Celtics- UNDER- I've had this series 'clocked' with the winning side in all four Eastern Final meetings. This time around Boston is facing elimination and the first thing they will do is get back to basics and that starts with defense. The Celtics are the club that is fighting for survival and respond to losses by going 6-1 Under after a straight-up loss and 12-5 UNDER in their last 17 overall. Miami has played to the UNDER in six of their last eight against teams with winning records. Take the UNDER! |
09-24-20 | Lakers -6 v. Nuggets | Top | 114-108 | Push | 0 | 11 h 58 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers vs Denver 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Nuggets- Will the real L.A. Lakers please stand-up! After taking a 2-0 lead over Denver when it looked as though the Nuggets couldn't handle the 'Lakesters' big two of Lebron James and Anthony Davis. But, this 'Mile-High City' club just doesn't quit and we have seen that as the recovered from 3-1 deficits against both Utah and the Clippers. LA has struggled withy Denver during the regular season going just 10-21 ATS in the last 31 meetings, but that is regular season action. Denver is 5-1 ATS in the Playoffs as an underdog. Still, one sure thing about these NBA Playoffs just when you think a team is 'done' they will bounce back. It doesn't look like the Lakers could cover a pot with a lid but of course this pot has gold in it. Take LOS ANGELES! |
09-23-20 | Celtics v. Heat +3.5 | Top | 109-112 | Win | 100 | 10 h 46 m | Show |
Boston and Miami 8:30 ET Heat (+) over Celtics- Okay, Miami is up 2-1 in games but the stats between the clubs are virtually dead even from points, to rebounds to assists and free throws. Then what will be the difference maker today...it's Jimmy Butler! Teams this deep in the playoffs should have positive trends and they both do. Boston is 23-8-1 ATS in their last 32 playoffs games although they are just 1-4 ATS in their last five in the Conference Finals. Miami is 10-2 ATS in the playoffs including their loss on Saturday and the Heat are an amazing 24-8-2 (75%) after a straight-up loss. Defense is the key as the Heat play it better. Take MIAMI! |
09-22-20 | Lakers -6.5 v. Nuggets | Top | 106-114 | Loss | -107 | 11 h 41 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers vs Denver 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Nuggets- Los Angeles up 2-0 in this series are well aware of Denver's resolve and determination not to quit. Trailing 3-1 in the past two series against the Jazz and Clippers the Nuggets managed to overcome to odds and win both series to face the Lakers in the Western Finals. The Lakers as a franchise have not lost a playoff series in which they lede 2-0 since 1969 when the lost to the Celtics. LA was up double figures in the fourth but needed a buzzer beater bye Anthony Davis to get by. This time they will not need the dramatics...Take LOS ANGELES! |
09-20-20 | Nuggets v. Lakers -7.5 | 103-105 | Loss | -110 | 20 h 0 m | Show
Denver vs L.A. Lakers 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Nuggets- You know I'm not a big fan of the media as I think most of what they do is self-serving and often way too bias and not always in the political arena. Now, 'they' have gone too far, now they have done something so egregious that I doin't know if the Denver Nuggets can ever survive. LeBron James is 'pissed off' that he only received 16 first-place votes for MVP placing him second behind Giannis Antetokounmpo. James claims placing second isn't the issue...'Okay, but only 16 votes'. I still believe there no greater honor then being voted into an All-Star Game or receiving an award like this (MVP) than being selected by your peers. That's the respect you want the truth for you opponents. So, now the Nuggets will pay the price as LeBron take revenge on the world. I really think this series is over and Denver will be lucky to win one game...Take LOS ANGELES! |
09-19-20 | Celtics -138 v. Heat | Top | 117-106 | Win | 100 | 21 h 37 m | Show |
Boston vs Miami 8:30 ET Celtics over Heat- (ML or ATS)- The Celtics find themselves in deep do-do after blowing 17 and 14 point leads in Games 1 and 2. I don't want to say that they were crying in the locker room after the Game 2 loss but coach Brad Stevens had to be the grown-up in the room and met Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker (who has been just terrible) and soothed their fragile egos. Miami has the 'Mojo' and has won 10 of 11 since the Playoffs started and it looks like they just don't have the time to fool around. The Heat are tough against the Bean-Towner's going 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings. Jimmy Butler is 'the' force that has to be reckoned with and if Steven's club will listen to him they will be able to balance off Butler and pray Kemba regains his touch. In a must situation I do not want lay more than 1-point (Play Money line). If is have to play it at -2.5 or -3 so be it. In baseball 'we' don't think too much of having to lay -140 so if you can get it under that price, I say go for it. Celts are 22-8-1 ATS in their last 31 playoff games as the favorite. The pressure is on and Boston must deliver or it's off to the links...A GREAT game to watch...take BOSTON! |
09-18-20 | Nuggets v. Lakers -7 | Top | 114-126 | Win | 100 | 11 h 33 m | Show |
Denver vs L.A. Lakers 9:00 ET Lakers (-) over Nuggets- Denver has accomplished a feat never done before in the NBA and that is win two separate playoff series after trailing three games to one. After defeating the LA Clippers 104-89 in Game 7 in which they held the Clippers scoreless for seven minutes in the final quarter and kept Kawhi Leonard and Paul George with a point in the fourth quarter. Denver is playing in their first conference Final since 2009 when they fell to the Lakers in six games. The Nuggets are 19-9 ATS in the last 28 meetings but LA is 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall. These two are used to playing high scoring games as the total between these two is 20-7-2 to the Over. Take the LAKERS! |
09-17-20 | Heat v. Celtics UNDER 209.5 | 106-101 | Win | 100 | 9 h 47 m | Show
Miami vs Boston 7:00 ET Heat/Celtics UNDER- This the NBA Playoffs and defense is king. These two one of which will represent the East in the Finals both play good defense as a general rule and now their talents are amped up. Miami has played Under in 7 of their last 10 and Boston is 8-2 Under in their last 10. The Celtics have gone Under 7-1 after playing on one days rest and these two have gone Under 7-3 in their last 10 meetings. Play UNDER! Thank you and Good Luck! |
09-15-20 | Nuggets +7.5 v. Clippers | Top | 104-89 | Win | 100 | 10 h 8 m | Show |
Denver vs L.A. Clippers 9:00 ET Clippers (-) over Nuggets- Los Angeles was having so much fun and then they looked at the scoreboard and saw that they had a 19-point lead and they started thinking about the Lakers for the second straight hame and blew another chance to end this series. Yep, well Denver was only thinking about surviving. But, this Los Angeles team has never won anything and knows that they still have to prove themselves and will taking nothing for granted this time around and add the Clippers are 21-7 ATS following a straight-up loss. Take L.A. CLIPPERS! |
09-13-20 | Clippers -8.5 v. Nuggets | Top | 98-111 | Loss | -102 | 3 h 39 m | Show |
L.A. Clippers vs Denver 1:00 ET Clippers (-) over Nuggets- Los Angeles was having so much fun and then they looked at the scoreboard and saw that they had a 15-point lead and they started thinking about the Lakers. Yep, well Denver was only thinking about surviving. After that the Nuggets played 'desperation ball' and found gold and out-scored the shocked Clippers by 21-points for the 111-105 win. But, this Los Angeles team has never won anything and knows that they still have to prove themselves and will taking nothing for granted this time around and add the Clippers are 21-6 ATS following a straight-up loss. Take L.A. CLIPPERS! |
09-12-20 | Rockets +6.5 v. Lakers | Top | 96-119 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 47 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers vs Houston 8:30 ET Rockets (+) over Lakers- Well, when I hear a team has 'no shot' and everyone has counted them out and are starting to look toward the next matchup funny things can happen. James Harden has been his usually playoff self which is so sub-par (just 2 field goals in Game 4). Houston hasn't changed much in recent seasons they will try and out-run you and out gun you and when they are 'on' they are tough to beat. The problems with shooting teams is the streaks they incur. Really no pressure here on Rockets most thinking they are already dead...Take HOUSTON! |
09-11-20 | Celtics v. Raptors +3 | Top | 92-87 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 25 m | Show |
Boston vs Toronto 9:00 ET Raptors (+) over Celtics- The well balanced Boston Celtics in the back of their minds have to be thinking 'what if' that miracle shot that won Game 3 fell short. Instead of a commanding 3-0 lead the Celtics now find themselves 3-3 and in a do-or-die game. Kemba Walker had one of his worst nights of the season and still it took Toronto two overtimes to defeat Boston to tie the series. Karma is a bitch...take CLIPPERS! |
09-11-20 | Nuggets +8 v. Clippers | 111-105 | Win | 100 | 8 h 48 m | Show
Denver vs L.A. Clippers 6:30 ET Nuggets (+) over Clippers- No. 3 seed Denver is once again down 3-1 in a playoff series and most regroup immediately for the series to continue. The Nuggets need to get off to a quick start as the trailed the entire game in the last meeting. The Clippers are where they expected to be and are anxious to play in the Western Finals and will be playing with confidence and the knowledge that they have some leeway with a 3-1 in games advantage, Take NUGGETS! |
09-10-20 | Lakers v. Rockets +5 | Top | 110-100 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 56 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers vs Houston 8:30 ET Rockets (+) over Lakers- When looking at this series I get the feeling that the :Lakers are blowing Houston out, but that's not the case as the series is just 2-1 LA and today is Game 4. Houston hasn't changed much in recent seasons they will try and out-run you and out gun you and when they are on they are tough to beat. The problems with shooting teams is the streaks they incur. All that goes by the wayside while Rockets play the Lakers as they dominated L.A. in recent years and are 17-10 ATS in the last 27 meetings and the Lakers are 6-10 ATS as favorites and just 6-11 ATS in their last 17 games overall. Take HOUSTON! |
09-09-20 | Clippers -8 v. Nuggets | 96-85 | Win | 100 | 11 h 55 m | Show
L.A. Clippers vs Denver 9:00 ET Clippers (-) over Nuggets- The difference in this series for the Nuggets compared to their last series against Utah is Jamal Murray. Against the Jazz Murray posted games with 50,42 and 50 points in three straight games but as of now he has scored 17 or less in three of four games with a low of 12 points in Game 1 of this series. L.A is 7-3 ATS as favorites and 17-8 ATS overall in their last 25. Take CLIPPERS! |
09-09-20 | Raptors +3.5 v. Celtics | Top | 125-122 | Win | 100 | 8 h 22 m | Show |
Toronto vs Boston 6:30 ET Raptors (+) over Celtics- The well balanced Boston Celtics are one win away from the Eastern Conference Finals and the Raptors find themselves in the same position as last season, down 3-2 in a seven game series. Both these clubs have been great all season long and trends say that both of these clubs are worthy of a wager. Even with Serge Ibaka in a walking boot the Raptors will be all in. So take TORONTO! |
09-08-20 | Lakers v. Rockets +5 | 112-102 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 28 m | Show
Houston vs L.A. Lakers 8:30 ET Rockets (+) over Lakers- Houston who has not had the respect of NBA pundits who just don't believe in 'small ball' and little respect for any team that doesn't play much defense. All that goes by the wayside while Rockets play the Lakers as they dominated L.A. in recent years and are 17-9 ATS in the last 26 meetings. Houston is 5-2 ATS in their last seven as underdogs and the Lakers are 5-10 ATS as favorites and just 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games overall. Take HOUSTON! |
09-08-20 | Heat v. Bucks +4 | 103-94 | Loss | -106 | 7 h 56 m | Show
Milwaukee vs Miami 3:30 ET Bucks (+) over Heat- The NBA's No. 1 seed is still on the brink of elimination as Milwaukee just hasn't lived up to expectations once again in the NBA playoffs. Last season the Bucks were ousted by Toronto after taking a 2-0 series lead and this time around the have shown their weakness. What is their weakness...Giannis Antetokounmpo. The League MVP and Defensive Player of the Year just can shoot beyond the arc. He was exposed in the 2019 playoffs as a poor 3-point shooter and this year has been even worse. Giannis who's 3-point shooting is 3-14 has left too much slack. With virtually no shot at winning this series the Bucks can play relaxed and I expect more from them today. Take MILWAUKEE! |
09-07-20 | Celtics v. Raptors +1.5 | Top | 111-89 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 2 m | Show |
Boston vs Toronto 6:30 ET Raptors (+) over Celtics- I can't help but think the Celtics had in their minds that they were leading this series 3-0...and then OG Anunoby changed the playoffs gods over to his side and Boston has been sunk ever since and they know it. How's that sound...we have seen it happen. I could support my instincts with more fodder and stats but they won't matter in the 'Bubble'. So take TORONTO! |
09-06-20 | Rockets +5.5 v. Lakers | Top | 109-117 | Loss | -104 | 11 h 44 m | Show |
Houston vs L.A. Lakers 8:30 ET Rockets (+) over Lakers- Houston who has not had the respect of NBA pundits who just don't believe in 'small ball' and little respect for any team that doesn't play much defense. All that goes by the wayside while Rockets play the Lakers as they dominated L.A. in recent years and are 17-8 ATS in the last 25 meetings. Houston is 5-1 ATS in their last six as underdogs and the Lakers are 4-10 ATS as favorites and just 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games overall. Take HOUSTON! |

09-06-20 | Bucks +2.5 v. Heat | 118-115 | Win | 100 | 5 h 21 m | Show
Milwaukee vs Miami 3:30 ET Bucks (+) over Heat- The NBA's No. 1 seed is on the brink of elimination as Milwaukee just hasn't lived up to expectations once again in the NBA playoffs. Giannis who's 3-point shooting is 2-13 has left too much slack. With virtually no shot at winning this series the Bucks can play relaxed and I expect more from them today. Take MILWAUKEE! |
09-05-20 | Nuggets v. Clippers -9 | 110-101 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 24 m | Show
Denver vs L.A. Clippers 9:00 ET Nuggets (-) over Clippers- I have already heard that this series is history and that Denver won't win a single game. Well, they were the No. 3 seed in the West and have to ability to bounce back after a loss as they are 15-7-2 ATS in their last 24 games following a straight-up loss. The Clippers are most likely destined to make the Western Conference Finals for a showdown with the Lakers and are 9-2 ATS playing teams with winning records. L.A. shot 57.1% while Denver was at 42.2% and they should bothy move toward the c enter with that. It's not that I think the Clippers are taking anything for granted because they have yet to win anything. But, the Nuggets should come to play. Take DENVER! |
09-05-20 | Raptors v. Celtics OVER 213.5 | 100-93 | Loss | -115 | 19 h 38 m | Show
Toronto vs Boston Total 6:30 ET Raptors/Celtics OVER- Every conceivable Totals trend is overwhelming to the Under with 19 out 20 Boston trends say 'under' and believe it or not 20 of 20 of the Raptors totals trends say 'under'. Now, some might say that I'm taking the OVER because I am such a contrarian but that's not it. It's that one trend of Boston's and is, the OVER is good 12-3 after a Celtics outright loss. And it's way too much overkill with all those 'other' trends. Take the OVER! Good Luck! |
09-05-20 | Raptors -105 v. Celtics | Top | 100-93 | Win | 100 | 19 h 40 m | Show |
Toronto vs Boston 6:30 ET Raptors (+) over Celtics- Uh-oh! Funny things happen in sports we've seen it time and again before, I can recall The Cavs down 3-1 and the Mavs having all but eliminate the Heat and then...Shit Happens! The Celtics have to be thinking of how close they were to taking a 3-0 lead in this series and now the Raptors are right back ion it and have got to be feeling great because if it was 0-3 they would have already started packing for the 'Great White North.' The dramatic series changing shot ending Game 3 will buoy the Raptors while depressing the Celtics. Take TORONTO! Thank you and Good Luck! |
09-04-20 | Bucks -5.5 v. Heat | Top | 100-115 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 10 m | Show |
Milwaukee vs Miami 6:30 ET Bucks (-) over Heat- Having had the Heat in both Games 1 & 2 I feel comfortable switching sides in Game 3. Playing against Miami might not be the wisest though I've had as they are 6-0 both ATS and straight-up in the playoffs and have won 10 of 11 overall in the playoffs and are 6-1 over the Bucks in the last seven meetings. Okay, that's all well and good but the way Milwaukee closed last years playoffs blowing a 2-0 games lead over Toronto and having the media whisper that maybe, just maybe Giannis Antetokounmpo isn't a 'big game' player. Well, Milwaukee finished with the best recored in the NBA and it's time for them to measure up against the Heat. Take the BUCKS! |
09-03-20 | Raptors v. Celtics +1.5 | Top | 104-103 | Win | 100 | 8 h 18 m | Show |
Toronto vs Boston 5:30 ET Celtics (+) over Toronto- The Raptors had the best 'regular' season finish in the 'bubble' coming away with seven wins in eight games and then went out and swept (4-0) Brooklyn before getting run over by the Celtics in Game 1. Now, it is Boston that is streaking having won six straight and 10 of 11 and are 21-8 ATS as underdogs. Toronto is 24-10-1 ATS in their last 35 games following an ATS loss and 8-4 ATS following a straight-up loss and are going down again tonight. Take BOSTON! |
09-02-20 | Thunder v. Rockets -5.5 | Top | 102-104 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 35 m | Show |
Oklahoma City vs Houston 9:00 ET Thunder (+) over Rockets- Oklahoma City has been the most pleasant surprise this NBA season and they have shown resiliency coming back from an 0-2 deficit and then again winning game 6 when facing elimination. The Thunder are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings and are 35-17 ATS in their last 52 games as underdogs. Houston on the flip side is just 2-5 ATS as favorites and 3-8 ATS following a straight-up loss. Today the Rockets respond! Take HOUSTON! |
09-02-20 | Heat +5 v. Bucks | 116-114 | Win | 100 | 8 h 40 m | Show
Miami vs Milwaukee 6:30 ET Heat (+) over Bucks- Milwaukee seems to have a habit of losing the first game of playoff series that has put them in a hole to start with before. They were able to rebound against Orlando after dropping game one but this time their opponent has leg up on the Bucks as Miami plays well against them going 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings. Miami gets ready for Conference Semifinal games going 29-13 ATS over the years and are 5-0 ATS in the playoffs. The 'Greek Freak' once again is feeling playoff pressure taking only 12 shots and committing six turnovers. Take the HEAT! |
09-02-20 | Heat v. Bucks UNDER 221 | 116-114 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 34 m | Show
Miami vs Milwaukee 6:30 ET Heat/Bucks UNDER- Both of these clubs play a different brand of defense when up against tougher competition. Miami is 5-1 'under' in their last six playoff games and the Bucks are 14-6-2 UNDER in their last 22 games when playing a team with a winning record. The 'Greek Freak' is feeling playoff pressure once again and his offense has suffered. Play UNDER! |
09-01-20 | Jazz v. Nuggets UNDER 217 | 78-80 | Win | 100 | 10 h 48 m | Show
Jazz/Nuggets UNDER- Two power packed offensive teams are getting down to the nitty-gritty and when that happens it win revolves around defense. Although these two have played to the over in head-to-head meetings this game has special significance as the loser is eliminated. I doubt there will be any 50-point scorers tonight (there have been four 50-point performances). Play UNDER! |
09-01-20 | Jazz -106 v. Nuggets | Top | 78-80 | Loss | -106 | 10 h 2 m | Show |
Utah vs Denver 8:30 ET Jazz (+) over Nuggets- Denver took the opening game of this series and then Utah stormed back with three straight wins before the Nuggets rebounded with a pair of victories to even the series at 3-3.6-2 ATS as playoff favorites. Denver is faced with a franchise first if they can manage a win here as they have never won a playoff series after trailing 3-1 (it has been done11 times in NBA history). On the flip side Utah has never lost a series when leading 3-1 in games and although the Nuggets Jamal Murray has had a pair of 50-point games he has been matched by Utah's Donovan Mitchell who has posted two 50-point games as well. Starting as the higher Denver and as a 4.5-point favorite in Game 1 and now they opened a 1-point dog and have gone to a small favorite. Take UTAH! |
09-01-20 | Celtics +1.5 v. Raptors | 102-99 | Win | 103 | 7 h 2 m | Show
Boston vs Toronto 5:30 ET The Raptors had the best 'regular' season finish in the 'bubble' coming away with seven wins in eight games and then went out and swept (4-0) Brooklyn before getting run over by the Celtics in Game 1. Now, it is Boston that is streaking having won five straight and nine of 10 and the are 20-8 ATS as underdogs but just 2-5 ATS as playoff underdogs. Toronto is 24-9-1 ATS in their last 34 games following an ATS loss and 8-3 ATS following a straight-up loss and are going down again tonight. Take BOSTON! |
08-31-20 | Rockets v. Thunder UNDER 225.5 | 100-104 | Win | 100 | 11 h 17 m | Show
Rockets/Thunder UNDER – You would think of sparks could happen on the court with the explosive offensive weapons these guys bring to the table. But, in pressure games meaningful game both during the regular season and especially in the post season. Three of the four games that they have split have gone 'over' the number and now with OKC back in the hunt the Rockets will have to tighten up on the defensive end and that leads to tightening up on the other end as well. Play UNDER! |
08-31-20 | Rockets v. Thunder +6 | Top | 100-104 | Win | 100 | 12 h 31 m | Show |
Houston vs Oklahoma City 9:00 ET Thunder (+) over Rockets-This is strictly a home-and-home series with which ever team is designated to wear their home colors is the winner and has been the case in all five playoff meetings. These two had closed the regular season meetings with the Thunder having a five-game win and cover streak. This game should play toward the 'number' as Houston is just 2-5 ATS in their last s even games after scoring 100 the previous game while the Thunder is 11-3 ATS in their last 14 game following a straight-up loss of more than 10 points. Take OKLAHOMA CITY |
08-31-20 | Heat +5.5 v. Bucks | 115-104 | Win | 100 | 9 h 40 m | Show
Miami vs Milwaukee 6:30 ET Heat (+) over Bucks- Miami won both regular season meetings until they met in the 'Bubble' when the Bucks prevailed 130-116 as the Heat's Jimmy Butler sat out. These two met March 2nd in Miami once during the regular season and the Bucks were favored (-5) so now playing in a neutral site they price hasn't moved. The Heat were affected by the quick NBA boycott as they had already swept the Pacers. Advantage Miami and as Conference Semi-finals they are 28-18-1 ATS while the Bucks are 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine games following a straight-up win. Take MIAMI! |
08-30-20 | Nuggets +2.5 v. Jazz | Top | 119-107 | Win | 100 | 9 h 7 m | Show |
Denver vs Utah 4:00 ET Nuggets (+) over Jazz- Denver won all three regular season meetings and then took a 1-0 lead in the Playoffs by winning Game 1 135-125 in overtime and then dropped the last three before overcoming a 15-point third quarter deficit and won easy 117-107. Utah now has a 3-2 series lead but are still 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings. The Jazz who have come alive are just 4-17-2 ATS in their last 23 games as favorites while the Nuggets are not any better as they are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games after an ATS win. Denver entered the 6th seed and Utah the 3rd seed and will leave it all on the floor here as they face elimination. Take the NUGGETS! |
08-30-20 | Celtics +2 v. Raptors | Top | 112-94 | Win | 100 | 2 h 2 m | Show |
Boston vs Toronto 6:30 ET Celtics (+) over Raptors- The Raptors helped as a Power Play winner over Brooklyn 150-122 and defeated the Nets by 82 points in their four game sweep. Boston swept Philadelphia 4-0 but not necessarily in such dominating fashion. I rarely have problems thing about playing 'against' any team that scores 150 points in a night. The competition near is much tougher and better seasoned than the Nets. The Celtics are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings and are 15-5 ATS as underdogs. Toronto is still NBA Champs and they are 6-2 ATS in right playoff games as the favorite. But today...it's BOSTON! Thank you and Good Luck! |
08-29-20 | Blazers +13.5 v. Lakers | 122-131 | Win | 100 | 23 h 18 m | Show
L.A. Lakers vs Portland 9:00 ET Trailblazers (+) over Lakers- Well, the Lakers rolled over the Blazers in Game 4 but before that game many thought Portland had a shot to knock the Lakers out of the playoffs. Portland has given Los Angeles fits over the years going 47-23 ATS in the last 70 regular season meetings. But, this is the playoffs and the Lakers got their 'wakeup' call in Game 1 which was their sixth straight ATS loss to the Blazers and they came alive for Games 2, 3 and 4 and they aren't stopping here. Damian Lillard is out and the line will be inflated. But, what bothers me is that their were just two teams that voted to cancel the rest of the Playoffs and The Lakers were one of them. I wonder if their hearts will be in it? Take the BLAZERS |
08-29-20 | Thunder +5 v. Rockets | Top | 80-114 | Loss | -103 | 21 h 49 m | Show |
Houston vs Oklahoma City 6:30 ET Thunder (+) over Rockets- As I said last time out the Rockets hot shooting would taper off and it did in Game 4. The question here is has Houston recovered enough after having fallen off with their 3-point shooting. OKC had won five straight in the series until these playoffs and it seems Houston has been saving it all up for this but the Thunder responded with a win in Games 3 & 4 and have evened the series. As I said before this game will show which club has more character. I don't believe that simply changing uniforms without the benefit of a home crown cheering for you makes much difference although the listed home team has won all four. Ha! The Thunder were one of the league's biggest surprises this season and had the best ATS record in the NBA and with desperate times at hand they will respond. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
08-29-20 | Magic +13.5 v. Bucks | 104-118 | Loss | -105 | 18 h 5 m | Show
Milwaukee vs Orlando 4:00 ET Magic (+) over Bucks- The Bucks made short work of the Magic in Games 3 and 4 and were aroused after their Game-1 loss a 25-point ATS loss. Orlando is 5-1 ATS after a double-digit loss but just 1-5 ATS in their last six as underdogs. Milwaukee's Khris Middleton was been invisible the first three games but came alive last time out. The Magic may disappear from the Playoffs after tonight be they will go down swinging. Take ORLANDO! |
08-25-20 | Mavs v. Clippers -6.5 | 111-154 | Win | 100 | 10 h 46 m | Show
Dallas vs L.A. Clippers 9:00 ET Clippers (-) over Mavericks- The Mavericks Luca Doncic at 21 years of age put on one of the most dominating playoff performances that are drawing him comparisons to Larry Bird as his 43 points, 17 rebounds and 13 assists along with his winning buzzer beater pushed Dallas over the hump. Kristaps Porzingis sat out Game 4 which set Doncic free and his status in day-to-day. The Mavs have difficulty posting back-to-back wins as they are 1-5 ATS after a straight-up win and just 2-6 ATS in their;last eight meetings. L.A. On the other hand is 20-6 ATS following a straight-up loss. Take the CLIPPERS! |
08-25-20 | Jazz v. Nuggets UNDER 221 | 107-117 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 18 m | Show
Jazz/Nuggets UNDER 221- I have spoken of trends when dealing with 'totals' so my side here may be surprising as Utah is 8-2 Over in their last 10 overall and play 7-2 to the Over after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game. Denver is 21-7-1 in their last 29 overall and 8-1 Over when playing as an underdog. So, why would I think of playing Under here, well because Under is 20-8 in the last 28 meetings and I believe Playoff pressure and necessity will be forefront for the Nuggets survive. Play UNDER! |
08-25-20 | Jazz v. Nuggets +3 | Top | 107-117 | Win | 100 | 8 h 33 m | Show |
Utah vs Denver 6:30 ET Nuggets (+) over Jazz- Denver won all three regular season meetings and then took a 1-0 lead in the Playoffs by winning Game 1 135-125 in overtime but have dropped the last three. Utah now has a 3-1 series lead but are still 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings. The Jazz who have come alive are just 4-16-2 ATS in their last 22 games as favorites while the Nuggets are not any better as they are 2-7 ATS in their last nine games after an ATS win. Denver entered the 6th seed and Utah the 3rd seed and will leave it all on the floor here as they face elimination. Take the NUGGETS! |
08-24-20 | Lakers v. Blazers +7.5 | 135-115 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 52 m | Show
L.A. Lakers vs Portland 8:30 ET Trailblazers (+) over Lakers- Well, we got what we wanted winning the last two with the Lakers over the Blazers but Portland is the team that many feel can still knock the Lakers out of the playoffs. They have given Los Angeles fits over the years going 47-23 ATS in the last 70 regular season meetings. But, this is the playoffs and the Lakers got their 'wakeup' call in Game 1 which was their sixth straight ATS loss to the Blazers and came alive for Games 2 & 3 winners for us. Lillard isn't hurting enough to be stopped and LA will have to scratch their way out of this one. Take the TRAILBLAZERS!! |
08-24-20 | Pacers v. Heat -6 | 87-99 | Win | 100 | 8 h 27 m | Show
Indiana vs Miami 6:30 ET Heat (-) over Pacers- Indiana has given it the good 'old college try' but injuries have taken the blood and guts out of this team. Entering this series the Pacers actually had a better record than Miami but they don't look like they belong on the same floor especially on offense. Although Indiana is tough going 6-2 ATS after a straight-up loss, they are 0-5-1 ATS in their last six games as playoff underdogs. The Heat are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings and 5-0 ATS in their last five playoff games as favorites. Take MIAMI! |
08-24-20 | Rockets v. Thunder +3.5 | Top | 114-117 | Win | 100 | 6 h 24 m | Show |
Houston vs Oklahoma City 4:00 ET Thunder (+) over Rockets- As I said last time out the Rockets hot shooting would taper off and it did in Game 3. The question here is has Houston recovered enough after having fallen off with their 3-point shooting. OKC had won five straight in the series until these playoffs and it seems Houston has been saving it all up for this but the Thunder responded with a win in Game 3 and this game will show which club has more character. The Thunder were one of the league's biggest surprises this season and had the best ATS record in the NBA and with desperate times at hand they will respond. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
08-23-20 | Nuggets +3.5 v. Jazz | 127-129 | Win | 100 | 11 h 4 m | Show
Denver vs Utah 4:00 ET Here's a team that has had defensive issues all season now have problem with they are beat at and that is shooting the ball. The Nuggets have fallen behind early and then have difficulty finding their rhythm after the slow start. Rudy Gobert has taken over with his power game and Denver doesn't seem to have an answer. Utah has 'covered' the number in the past two victories by 59 points but had dropped four straight to Denver before this current two-game domination. After the way the Nuggets were steamrolled the past two contests makes me believe if that have any professionalism at all baring injury they will be ready to play.Take DENVER! |
08-23-20 | Raptors v. Nets +13.5 | 150-122 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 53 m | Show
Toronto vs Brooklyn 1:30 ET Nets (+) over Raptors- Brooklyn has shown the Raptors that they can play and Toronto is taking nothing for granted as they look to prove last season was no fluke. The Raptors like the spacing of games as they are 44-20 ATS on one day's rest and they are 10-3 ATS in their last 13. The Nets have played themselves well with one day's rest going 16-6 ATS but are just 1-6 in last seven playoff games as underdogs but with show up today as the Raptors coast. Take BROOKLYN! |
08-23-20 | Clippers v. Mavs +8 | 133-135 | Win | 102 | 6 h 40 m | Show
L.A. Clippers vs Dallas 9:00 ET Mavericks (+) over Clippers- The Clippers closed out an impressive win over the Mavericks as Luke Donic turned his ankle ans sat out the fourth quarter. Despite that win the Clippers are just 3-7 ATS as playoff favorites and that about the worst I can say about them...really. The trends supporting LA here is very compelling and the Mavericks trends will make you turn away. But, with or without Doncic coach Rick Carlisle will keep them prepared. Take DALLAS! |
08-22-20 | Lakers -7.5 v. Blazers | 116-108 | Win | 100 | 9 h 30 m | Show
L.A. Lakers vs Portland 8:30 ET Lakers (-) over Trailblazers- Portland is the team that many feel can knock the Lakers out of the playoffs as they have given Los Angeles fits over the years going 47-23 ATS in the last 70 regular season meetings. But, this is the playoffs and the Lakers got their 'wakeup' call in Game 1 which was their sixth straight ATS loss to the Blazers. Lillard is hurting and LA gets serious. Take the LAKERS! |
08-22-20 | Rockets v. Thunder +2.5 | Top | 107-119 | Win | 100 | 6 h 11 m | Show |
08-21-20 | Clippers v. Mavs +5 | 130-122 | Loss | -102 | 10 h 42 m | Show
L.A. Clippers vs Dallas 9:00 ET Mavericks (+) over Clippers- Dallas closed out an impressive win over the Clippers despite 35 points from Leonard as the Mavs shot 45% from 3-point land. L.A. Has been consistent in as much that them bounce back from defeat as they are 19-7 after an ATS loss and more impressively are 8-1 ATS after bad loss of over 10 points. But, after Porzingis was thrown out of Game one overtime loss the Mavericks came together. Take DALLAS! |
08-21-20 | Celtics v. 76ers +6 | Top | 102-94 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 0 m | Show |
Boston vs Philadelphia 6:30 ET 76ers (+) over Celtics- It really doesn't look the 76ers can play with Boston in this series. Joel Embiid is a one man gang but that hasn't been enough as they have dropped the first two scoring 101 points in both losses. The Sixers bench has not picked up the slack left since Ben Simmons went down but I expect more from them in Game 3. Philly is 5-1 ATS after a loss of 10-points or more. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
08-20-20 | Blazers v. Lakers -6.5 | 88-111 | Win | 100 | 10 h 22 m | Show
Portland vs L.A. Lakers Lakers (-) over Trailblazers- Was it me or do the Lakers seem 'distant' or shall I say distracted as they never were able to exploit their dominating talent. The fact that it has been Portland that has given Los Angeles its biggest trouble over the years as they hold a 47-22 ATS advantage in the last 69 meetings. But, playoff action hasn't been kind to the Trailblazers as they are 11-26-2 ATS in their last 39 Conference Quarterfinal games. The Lakers are 0-6 ATS in their last six including the last five in the bubble. It's time to rise and shine. Take the LAKERS! Thank you and Good Luck! |
08-20-20 | Magic v. Bucks -12.5 | 96-111 | Win | 100 | 7 h 9 m | Show
Orlando vs Milwaukee 6:00 ET Bucks (-) over Magic- The Magic preformed a trick in Game 1 that few though possible as they un set the league's No. 1 seed 122-110. Orlando scored Milwaukee in every offensive category as the Bucks just didn't have the fire needed to win in the NBA. The Magic have been playing well and are 7-2 as underdogs and 13-5 ATS in their last 18 overall. But, Milwaukee is 5-0 ATS after a double-digit loss and 9-4 ATS as playoff favorites. Add that they are 31-14 ATS after a straight-up loss. Take the BUCKS! Thank You and Good Luck! |
08-20-20 | Thunder +2.5 v. Rockets | Top | 98-111 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 55 m | Show |
Oklahoma City vs Houston 3:30 ET Thunder (+) over Rockets- Houston did their thing in Game 1 taking 52 3-point shots and when they are falling they are difficult to beat. The surprising Thunder weren't expected to be where they are at this time and will be ready for the Rockets who the have defeated five of the last six meetings. OKC has been under-rated all season and is 41-20 ATS in their last 61 games as underdogs and 10-2 ATS following a loss of 10 points. Houston is just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 as favorites and 4-9 after scoring more than 100 points. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! Thank you and Good Luck! |
08-19-20 | 76ers +4.5 v. Celtics | Top | 101-128 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 56 m | Show |
Philadelphia vs Boston 6:30 ET 76ers (+) over Celtics- The Celtics were able to pull off a Game 1 win by outscoring the 76ers 34-20 after falling behind 81-75 early in the fourth quarter. That was Boston's second win in five tries against Philadelphia who will once again be without Ben Simmons while the Celts lost the services of Gordon Hayward who went down with a bad ankle sprain. The point spread trends are heavy on Boston but the Sixers need to show up here. Take PHILADELPHIA! There is a transmission issue...take PHILADELPHIA |
08-18-20 | Blazers v. Lakers -5.5 | Top | 100-93 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 15 m | Show |
Portland vs L.A. Lakers 9:00 ET Trailblazers (+) over Lakers- While Portland was scratching and clawing for their play-in opportunity the Lakers guaranteed the No 1 seed in the West played uninspired ball with numerous players 'resting' as they lost four of their final five. The Trailblazers have had an emotional run during the restart that will drain their energy. They don't have a glorious playoff record as they are 4-9-1 ATS as a playoff underdog and just 10-26-2 ATS in 38 Conference Quarterfinal games. But, Portland does come to play when the Lakers are their opponent as they are 46-22 ATS in the last 68 meetings overall and that a good size sample. The Los Angeles 'numbers' are all negative as they are 0-5 ATS in their last five overall and 6-13 ATS in their last 19 after a 10-point loss. Playing possum...we will see. Take the LAKERS! If this message is garbled play is LAKERS! |
08-18-20 | Thunder -115 v. Rockets | 108-123 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 34 m | Show
Oklahoma City vs Houston 6:30 ET Rockets (+) over Thunder- These two finished with the same record 44-28 along with Utah but Houston is the higher seed at No. 4 while OKC is No. 5 and the Jazz No. 6. Looking at the series history one sees why the Thunder were made the favorite as they are 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings overall. OKC closed with a loss and are 9-4 ATS after a straight-up loss while Houston who was crushed in their final bubble game is 1-7 ATS after an ATS loss and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall. But, the Rockets can bite as they are 15-7 ATS when playing as an underdog. Westbrook mis out and I'm not really clear on which team he is sitting for. Anyway after they way the finished I'n go with...OKLAHOMA CITY! The selection here is OKLAHOMA CITY! |

08-18-20 | Heat -4.5 v. Pacers | 113-101 | Win | 100 | 6 h 8 m | Show
Miami vs Indiana 4:00 ET Pacers (+) over Heat- This is like one of those NCAA seeding deals where one team is ranked above another and yet they show up as an underdog when they meet. Well, Indiana finished 1-game ahead of the Heat yet on a neutral site they are rated the underdogs. Granted they are only one game apart and that is why this game should be closer to a pick-em. When I see the Pacers are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings I begin to wonder what going on. Maybe because the Heat are 22-8 ATS after a straight-up loss and 31-15-2 ATS after an ATS loss. But, hey Indiana has something to cheer about as they are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight games as underdogs and 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 overall. Take the PACERS! Take MIAMI! |
08-17-20 | Mavs +6 v. Clippers | 110-118 | Loss | -105 | 26 h 20 m | Show
Dallas vs L.A. Clippers 9:00 ET Mavericks (+) over Clippers- Dallas who is 3-5 in Orlando enters this fray off two losses while the Clippers were 5-3 winning their last two. The Mavericks are a team that draws a lot of attention as they sparkle on the court at times but don't always deliver in pressure situations as they are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 as playoff underdogs and just 3-8 in their last 11 in Conference Quarterfinals. L.A. is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings including a 126-111 win in Orlando and are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games as favorites. But, there is one glaring negative trend that should be addressed as the Clippers are 8-22 ATS in their last 30 playoff game as favorites. Mavericks worth the ride...take DALLAS! If you CAN NOT read the above it is a transmission error...Take DALLAS. |

08-17-20 | 76ers +5.5 v. Celtics | Top | 101-109 | Loss | -104 | 25 h 57 m | Show |
Philadelphia vs Boston 3:30 ET Celtics 76ers – The way these two came into this game may be the telling a tale one way or another. Philadelphia was 4-4 during the restart losing three straight before closing by crushing Houston a club missing all their firepower. The Sixers of course will be without Ben Simmons but that just gives Joel Embiid more room to roam. Boston was 5-3 in Orlando and totally laid down in their final game getting beat by the winless (0-7) Wizards. That scares me is I believe the Celtics will be ready to play and I have doubts about the Sixers after routing the Rockets on the final day as they are 0-6 following a win of 10-points or greater. But, Philly is 4-1 ATS as playoff underdogs but are just 5-12 ATS in the last 17 meetings with Boston. The Celtics are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 Conference Quarterfinal games. Tough call but the public sentiment and money is on the Celtics. In a surprise. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
08-17-20 | Nets +9.5 v. Raptors | 110-134 | Loss | -108 | 22 h 55 m | Show
Raptors (-) over Nets- The reigning NBNA champs showed that they are ready for the real deal going 7-1 in the 'bubble' but I see plenty of Nets 'action' here. As well I should as they are 5-0 ATS in the last five as underdogs. The Raptors are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games overfall and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 in NBA Playoff Conference Quarterfinal action. Usually there will be one blowout in opening games and I just hope this is the one. Take TORONTO! |
08-15-20 | Grizzlies +6.5 v. Blazers | Top | 122-126 | Win | 100 | 16 h 26 m | Show |
Memphis vs Portland 2:30 ET Grizzlies (+) over Trailblazers- Portland has gone 6-2 in Florida while the Grizzlies lost their first four and then split the final four so they were 2-6 SU. This is a curious playoff situation as the Trailblazers only have two win one of a possible pair of games while Memphis must win both game to advance. It would be the other way around as these two met in the opening of the restart and Memphis blew a huge lead and lost in OT 140-135 otherwise the Blazers would be the one needing to win twice. Portland is 6-13-1 vARTS when playing a sub-500 team and like an old friend once said to me I can win twice and lose only once if I play the team facing elimination. Take MEMPHIS! Thank you and Good Luck! |
08-09-20 | Rockets v. Kings +6 | 129-112 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 6 m | Show
Houston vs Sacramento 8:00 ET Kings (+) over Rockets- I like Houston in this little shoot-around of eight games before it all hits the fan. They are 3-1 since the restart including a Megabucks win for us over the Lakers last time out. Sacramento is seeded last and has lost four of five and are certainly out of it and could only be a spoiler. The Rockets are pretty much locked into the third seed and are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games as favorites while the Kings are 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine games as underdogs. Take SACRAMENTO! |
08-09-20 | 76ers +3.5 v. Blazers | Top | 121-124 | Win | 100 | 8 h 47 m | Show |
Philadelphia vs Portland 6:30 ET 76ers (+) over Trailblazers- The media types are going crazy as they believe that the 76ers are in trouble now that Ben Simmons is out. What they should realize is that Philadelphia plays better when either Simmons or Joel Embiid are out. The floor just may not be big enough for both of them to be on it at the same time. Portland's loss to the Clippers yesterday leaves them a half-game ahead of San Antonio and Phoenix for the final play-in berth. The Blazers are 5-11-1 ATS when playing on one days rest. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
08-09-20 | Spurs v. Pelicans -3 | 122-113 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 13 m | Show
San Antonio vs New Orleans 3:30 ET Pelicans (-) over Spurs- San Antonio must win there remaining three games to get into the NBA Playoffs for a record 23rd consecutive season and even if they do the numbers just don't add up. Memphis who admittedly is in poor shape needs win just one of their remaining three games to eliminated the Spurs and the Trailblazers already have two more wins. The Pelicans had great momentum before the break but the shortened schedule an injuries have taken them down a peg. Spurs are 2-8 ATS playing on one day's rest while New Orleans takes advantage of weaker teams as they are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games against teams with losing records. Take the PELICANS! |
08-08-20 | Suns v. Heat +2 | Top | 119-112 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 14 m | Show |
Phoenix vs Miami 7:30 ET Heat (+) over Suns- Phoenix is brimming with confidence having posted four straight wins since the restart and now trail the final playoff spot by two games but there are four different teams ahead of them. Miami has a one-game lead over the Pacers and 76ers for the fourth seed in the East and are 21-5 ATS in the last 26 meetings with the Suns. Add the Phoenix is 3-11 ATS in their last 14 games as favorites. Take MIAMI! |
08-08-20 | Lakers -6.5 v. Pacers | 111-116 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 34 m | Show
L.A. Lakers vs Indiana 6:00 ET Lakers (-) over Pacers- With the No. 1 seed locked up in the West the Lakers have been sleep-walking through the restart and are 2-3 since. The Pacers are in the fifth spot one-game behind the Heat who they play twice in the next three games. Focus for Indiana might be off and the Lakers need a strong performance. Take LOS ANGELES! |
08-08-20 | Jazz +1.5 v. Nuggets | 132-134 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 9 m | Show
Utah vs Denver 3:30 ET Jazz (+) over Nuggets- Denver trails the Clippers by two-games in the loss column with four to play as they via for the second seed and they lead the hot Rockets by just one-game. Both clubs have been playing with a number of starters missing and I mean three of four starters for each club. The Jazz can move up at least two spots with a strong finish. Take UTAH! |
08-07-20 | Celtics +2.5 v. Raptors | Top | 122-100 | Win | 100 | 10 h 3 m | Show |
Boston vs Toronto 9:00 ET Celtics over Raptors- Toronto is 3-0 since the restart and have won seven straight overall. Boston is just 2-2 since the restart but are 2-1 against the raptors this season and are 14-4 ATS inn their last 18 games as an underdog. Toronto is 3-1-1 ATS in their last five as favorites but...Take BOSTON! |
08-07-20 | Magic +4.5 v. 76ers | 101-108 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 17 m | Show
Orlando vs Philadelphia 6:30 ET Magic (+) over 76ers- Sixers All-Star Benn Simmons is now out indefinitely with a dislocated kneecap and believe it or not Joel Embiid was seen smiling. It is well known the two have struggled when playing together on the court and are not exactly friendly as teammates. Meanwhile, Orlando needs just one win to clinch a playoff spot and like Philadelphia will be without a main cog as Aaron Gordon is expected to miss this one. Take ORLANDO! Thank you and Good Luck! |
08-07-20 | Thunder v. Grizzlies +5 | 92-121 | Win | 100 | 5 h 32 m | Show
Oklahoma City vs Memphis 4:00 ET Grizzlies (+) over Thunder- Memphis began the restart 32-33 and have lost four straight games in Orlando and now they have no margin for error. The grizzlies thought the restart schedule put them in an unfavorable position with their close competitors getting an easier ride. Regardless they must win now against one of the NBA's biggest surprises in OKC who just destroyed the Lakers 105-86. I expect a bit of a lull tonight and for the Grizzlies to growl. Take MEMPHIS! |
08-06-20 | Lakers v. Rockets +1 | Top | 97-113 | Win | 100 | 9 h 28 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers vs Houston 9:00 ET Rockets (+) over Lakers- It appears to me that the Lakers are just going to sleepwalk through these eight games in Orlando before the playoffs start and the Rockets have been up and down as well. But, understanding all of that it's difficult for me to see how the Lakers can be a virtual pick'em against this Houston team. Note that L.A. is 1-5 ATS in their last six games as a favorite and the Rockets are 4-1 ATS in their last five games as underdogs. Take HOUSTON! |
08-06-20 | Heat v. Bucks -8.5 | 116-130 | Win | 100 | 4 h 23 m | Show
Miami vs Milwaukee 4:00 ET Bucks (-) over Heat- What is going with the Bucks they have lost 2-of-3 in Orlando five of six dating back to March, but they still have the best record in the NBA. Milwaukee is coming off of a loss to the Nets as a 19-point favorite while Miami rose to the occasion as a Megabucks winner last time out defeating the Celtics. This brings the Heat record to 8-23-1 ATS in their last 32 games following a straight-up win. The Heat are 2-0 versus the Bucks this season and are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings and now come up a huge underdog. Take MILWAUKEE! Thank you and Good Luck! |
08-05-20 | Raptors v. Magic +7 | Top | 109-99 | Loss | -109 | 10 h 3 m | Show |
Toronto vs Orlando 8:00 ET Magic (+) over Raptors- Toronto has started exactly the way they left off when the season was halted in March as they have won both their matchup on the restart defeating both the LA Lakers and Miami. The Raptors might have a smile on their faces as they have won the last five meetings and they are an amazing 40-14 ATS when playing on one days rest. Orlando is now 5-1 ATS in their last six games as underdogs and are 10-2 ATS in their last 11 overall. This time the worm turns. Take ORLANDO! Thank you and Good Luck! |
08-05-20 | Nuggets v. Spurs +3.5 | 132-126 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 43 m | Show
Denver vs San Antonio 4:00 ET Spurs (+) over Nuggets- San Antonio is looking to reach the playoffs for the 23rd straight time and they are now seeded 10th after their 132-130 loss to the 76ers. The Spurs are 4-0 ATS in their last four as underdogs and are 7-3 ATS against the Nuggets in the last 10 meetings. Denver is just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall and should fall short here. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
08-05-20 | Grizzlies +6 v. Jazz | 115-124 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 26 m | Show
Memphis vs Utah 2:30 ET Grizzlies (+) over Jazz- Memphis has been struggling even before the break as they enter this contest 0-4 ATS in their last four and even worse 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games as an underdog. Utah hasn't been all that much better as they are 1-4 ATS in their last five and just 2-13-2 ATS as favorites and 1-9-1 ATS after a straight-up loss. Add the Memphis is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings. Take the GRIZZLIES! Thank you and Good luck! |
08-04-20 | Celtics v. Heat +3.5 | Top | 106-112 | Win | 100 | 9 h 37 m | Show |
Boston vs Miami 6:35 ET Heat (+) over Celtics- Miami is coming off Monday's early afternoon game a loss to Toronto 107-103 and must play for the second day in-a-row. The Heat are 5-6 straight-up playing without any rest and are 0-2 against Boston this season and have lost five straight to the Celtics. Miami had a terrible shoot day against the raptors and look to atone today. Take MIAMI! |
08-03-20 | Lakers v. Jazz +6.5 | Top | 116-108 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 24 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers vs Utah 9:05 ET Jazz (+) over Lakers- The leagues best, the Lakers (it is assumed) had a rough outing last time out as LeBron James and Anthony Davis managed just 33 points between them both. L.A. has won the last four meetings ATS but Utah is 7-1 ATS in their last eight games as underdogs although they are 0-8-1 ATS in their last nine following a straight-up loss. Although the Jazz are 1-1 since the restart Utah needs a solid performance to re-establish the confidence needed heading into the playoffs. Take UTAH! Thank you and Good Luck! |
08-03-20 | Spurs v. 76ers -7 | 130-132 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 12 m | Show
San Antonio vs Philadelphia 8:05 76ers (-) over Spurs- The 76ers have to be the biggest enigma in the NBA as they appear to have a huge edge in talent over many clubs but just done seem to dominate they way most people think that should. San Antonio has two wins since the restart and has jumped from the 12th spot in the West to ninth and are two-games out of the eighth seed. The Sixers are 6-1 ATS following an ATS loss and are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings while the Spurs are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. Take PHILADELPHIA! Thank you and Good Luck! |
08-03-20 | Raptors v. Heat +3.5 | 107-103 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 36 m | Show
Toronto vs Miami 1:30 ET Heat (+) over Raptors- By now with all that has happened to professional sports and the world in general I wonder how many people realize that the Raptors are still the defending NBA champions. They put the league on notice with a dominating 107-95 win over the Lakers on Saturday while Miami shut down Denver 125-95 with a stifling defense. Toronto who is just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games following a win by 10-points or more and are just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games against the Heat. Take MIAMI! |
