Utah at Oklahoma City 9:30 ET Jazz (+) over Thunder- Oklahoma City has won the last four meetings against the Jazz and have won 15 straight regular season home games in this series. The Thunder were hot before the break winning 11 of their last 13 while Utah has won 13 of their last 16. For Utah Rudy Gobert who has been one of better and most productive players in the league claims he is on a 'mission' after being left off the All-Star team and claims to be reenergized after his disappointment. With the numbers so dominate in this series I'm surprised at low the points spread is here. But a though to hold is that the Jazz are 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 games following a loss and they are off of a close loss to the Warriors. Take UTAH!

Iowa on the other side dropped a 66-65 decision to Maryland (Megabucks winner) last time out but had won their previous four. The No. 19 Hawkeyes may be 13-3 SU as hosts but are just 6-10 ATS. Of these two squads the Detroit Pistons are by far are the bigger disappointment and has underachieved with having Blake Griffin (26.9) and Andre Drummond (22.8 last-10) leading their way to mediocrity. Atlanta was project to be the league worst and haven't shown much with an outside gunner that can't shoot and doesn't play defense but Trae Young can just up and bite you every once in a while. The Rockets are 3-0 against the Lakers this season and have dominated this series going 14-6 ATS in the last 20 meetings including 8-2 ATS in Los Angeles. The Lakers have been without James 17 games and have lost eight of their last 11. With James back to Lakers are different and Houston struggles again sub-500 teams as they are 1-6 ATS against teams with losing records. Add that the Rockets are just 10-18 ATS on the road. The Celtics Kyrie Irving has had two weeks to rest his sore knee ready to make a stretch run (which starts here) and I look for him to be very aggressive. The Heat lost to the Sixers in the first round of the Playoffs last season as Philly won in five games as Joel Embiid dominated play, but he is sidelined tonight and I look for Hassan Whiteside to take advantage. But otherwise the trends support Marquette who is 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games and the Bulldogs have struggled on the road going 9-19 ATS. MSU finished a great Big-Ten ATS run winning nine straight then dropped three straight before recovering against Minnesota 79-55 Saturday. The Jayhawks who have lost their last four on the road have also lost four starters to injuries and are going with four freshman, a first for coach Bill Self since 2013. The Cyclones are the number 1 scoring team in the Big-12 with 79-points per, 73.3 FT's and 48.4 FG's while Oklahoma is second in conference rebounding and are 8-2 SU at home while Iowa State is 3-3 in true road games. West Virginia at Texas Tech 9:00 ET Red Raiders (-) over Mountaineers- Missed out on both these clubs on Saturday playing Texas Tech who lost to Kansas and passing on West Virginia who punished Oklahoma 79-71. Now, tonight I suspect that there just might be some interest in Texas Tech having lost four of their last six while the Mountaineers who are 13-6-1 ATS on Monday nights have taken a dive this season. Bob Huggins' club has fallen on hard times this year and have been beset with injuries as West Virginia is 0-5 in true road games and 2-8 ATS overall away from Morgantown but the road team is 11-5 ATS in the last 16 meetings. The Red Raiders number are pitiful as they are 3-12-1 ATS in their last 16 overall and 6-18-2 ATS in their last 26 against the Big-12. Philadelphia at Golden State 11:00 ET 76ers (+) over Warriors- I love both these teams I really do but I am always afraid to get on them as so often they are not playing with a full deck so to speak. Players take days off too often and pout for the slightest reason because of the huge fragile egos. But, one thing is for certain both these clubs have the best talent in the league. This match-up is sort of a mini all-star game without the headlines but with all the headliners. Golden State has won 11 in-a-row and with the insertion of Boogie Cousins they are more powerful than ever as he has already played a strong role. So now Philadelphia shows up with talent led by the 'strength' of Joel Embiid along with Jimmy Walker and then Ben Simmons. Brooklyn has won seven of eight and are 11-3 in January and truly look like a franchise that has turned the corner (See NY Knicks). The Nets admit that they are dragging and look toward the All-star break. Fighting hard they succumbed to Villanova 85-75 and then dropped a pair at home tp Providence 64-62 and faltering down the stretch in losing to Marquette 87-82 on Saturday. I really think the Musketeers here are they are hungry off of three straight losses and they have had great success over Georgetown winning 14 of 18 meetings including six straight Big East meetings. It was 'our' first GOY release of the season and the next GOY winner comes this weekend. What is going on with Penn State? They have lost seven in-a-row and are 0-9 in the Big Ten play. Purdue has won their last five and are off of that huge win but they are just 2-4 straight in true road games.
