That means the Heat has to catch a late flight to the nation’s capital, which will take a toll. Washington has been home for the past few games, not that it’s helped them any, but being at home means you’re not traveling. The Wizards know they’re facing a crossroads and they need a win in the worst way. Look for Washington to take advantage of the fatigue factor and grind out a win in this one.

COLLEGE HOOPS 75 DIME GAME WASHINGTON ST +3.5 We're getting a free bucket with Washington State at home against an Oregon State team that hasn't won a road game in two full years. Yes, the Oregon State Beavers blew the doors off Washington State, winning by 32 points, and they've won seven of the last eight meetings against the Cougars. Maybe that has something to do with the line, but I'm not laying chalk with a squad that hasn't won on the road since 2016 regardless of the situation. I'll take WSU and the free bucket. Their only loss on their home court all season came against Kansas on Dec. 16. The chances of them blowing this game for all that it is worth is highly unlikely. Penn State though shouldn’t be down on themselves about this season. They’re still very young yet talented. This will be their best season under Pat Chambers since his arrival for the 2011-12 season. Four of their five leading scorers are back for next year. The Nittany Lions had a great season, but their time just ran out a little too soon. I have Nebraska by 4 points.

The win took the Aggies to 7-6 in the Mountain West, but it’s still not a game the Broncos should lose. They had a seven point halftime lead until the Aggies outscored them 44-31 in the second half to win the game. Senior guard Chandler Hutchinson definitely wasn’t to blame. The likely Mountain West player of the year, hit 11 of 17 shots and finished with 28 points and six boards. He’s been great all year long and is putting up averages of 20.3 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. They need a big game from him on Wednesday.

COLLEGE HOOPS 75 DIME GAME MISS +2.5 I am siding with Mississippi State in this one. Mississippi State is the better team on both offense and defense. The Bulldogs are limiting opponents to 40% shooting, ranking them 22nd in the country in field goal defense, and they are up against a weak shooting Vanderbilt team. Furthermore, Mississippi State has scored over 80 points in their last two road games, and Vanderbilt is well below average defensively. The Bulldogs have won four out of their last five games, plus they already notched an 80-62 win against Vanderbilt this season, and they should prevail again in this one.

COLLEGE HOOPS 75 DIME GAME L-C -11 POINTS Drake beat Bradley on the road, while Loyola lost to Bradley on the road. Looks like an easy call on Drake in this one. Not so fast my friends. The Ramblers have been a strong team all year and they have a huge edge on defense, especially here at home where they have allowed just 62.0 ppg on the year, while the Bulldogs have allowed 77.1 ppg on the road so far. The Loyola defense had a bad showing in their game against the Bears, but I look for that defense to bounce back and lead them to a win in this game of at least 12 points. The clincher is the fact that the Ramblers are 8-1 ATS their last nine games against the Missouri Valley Conference.

Furthermore, the Seminoles defensive play has been shaky in ACC play, allowing 76 or more points in ten of their 11 conference games, and the Cavaliers are shooting a solid 47% on the season, plus they are effective from beyond the arc. COLLEGE HOOPS 75 DIME GAME 145 OVER Gonzaga has been pretty dominant against WCC at home, but somehow the BYU Cougars have won three straight games in Spokane. The Bulldogs have an advantage over BYU this time, but they have had similar advantage in recent years. The Cougars just seem to have an answer in Spokane. The Bulldogs have been great this year, especially lately. Gonzaga has won four straight games after a real narrow loss to Saint Mary’s. The Bulldogs are averaging 87 points per game while shooting above 50 percent from the field. This is a dangerous offensive team that should have its way against the BYU Cougars. The Bulldogs have six players averaging double-figures. Gonzaga has such a well-balanced offensive attack. No player is averaging more than Johnathan Williams’ 13.7. It just demonstrates how efficient and effective this Bulldogs offense has been that Williams is the leading scorer with under 14 per game. Gonzaga is shooting 36.8 percent from three. Josh Perkins has been the team’s most efficient outside shooter, making 43 percent of his 6.4 attempts per game. The value in this game is the over. 150 is the most realistic number here.

Marquette was tied midway through the first half but was outscored 25-10 the rest of the half to trail by 15. The Golden Eagles were no closer than 13 in the second half and trailed by as many as 30. Marquette shot 46.2 percent from the field and went five of 18 from three point range while getting beaten 32-22 on the glass. The Golden Eagles allowed the Bulldogs to shoot 60 percent from the floor and eight of 14 from long range. Markus Howard paced Marquette with 26 points in the loss. The Golden Eagles are 34th in the nation in scoring offense with 82 points per game. Marquette is currently 333rd in rebounding with 32 boards per contest but stands tied for 52nd in assists with 16 per game. The Golden Eagles are 299th in scoring defense as they allow 77.5 points a night so far this year. Andrew Rowsey is second on Marquette with 19.5 points plus 4.1 assists per game. Markus Howard is averaging a team high 21.9 points per game, Sam Hauser puts up 14 a night and Hannif Cheatham added 8.2 points per contest. Cheatham left the team in late November and announced that he was going to transfer to Florida Gulf Coast in mid-December. Matt Heldt, Jamal Cain, Sacar Anim and Theo John are secondary contributors for coach Steve Wojciechowski. Marquette is shooting 47.1 percent from the floor this season. The Golden Eagles hit 11.1 three pointers a night on 39.9 percent shooting from beyond the arc. Marquette is very good at the free throw line as they convert 79.2 percent of their chances at the stripe this season. That number is good for third in the nation. Home, road, doesn’t matter. We’ll see if we’re good enough to manage that.” Keita Bates-Diop scored 20 points and added nine rebounds. Sexton’s ability to impact the game’s evident, especially with his 1.3 steals per game. The Crimson Tide are very inconsistent from three as the team’s connected on slightly less than 33 percent of their attempts on the season. COLLEGE HOOP 100 DIME GOY KANSAS +6 The West Virginia Mountaineers have had a very good season so far, but so have the Jayhawks. Kansas has been involved in three close games in a row and I expect this to be another tight game for them. The Jayhawks have a strong offense and teams do not shoot well against them, which is bad news for a West Virginia team that does not shoot the ball all that well. The Mountaineers have been good on defense, but I still see the Jayhawks putting up enough points to keep this one within the number or even win the game outright. Take the Jayhawks here.

COLLEGE HOOPS 75 DIME GAME DAYTON -140 Dayton’s offense has been pretty unreliable over the past few weeks, one week putting up 82 points to beat St. Bonaventure and the next only dropping 60 in a loss to UMass. That was the previous result against the Minutemen, who put up 62 points in what was a loss for the Flyers. They only hit 42.6 percent of their shots, but did hit more 3-pointers and more free throws. UMass was perfect from the charity stripe (8-for-8) while the Flyers hit 11-of-16. Most of the starters reached double figures in the scoring department, but sophomore guard Trey Landers (7.8 ppg) only had one point. He missed all three field goal attempts — all coming from downtown) and nailed just 1-of-2 free throws. He wasn’t in foul trouble and played 31 minutes. He had more assists (2) and turnovers (4) than points, but has put up 14 or more points in two of his last four games. DAYTON BY 4 POINTS OR MORE
