Dolphins/Jets 8:25: Sure, the Dolphins have something to play for with little margin for error in remaining three games in their quest for a playoff birth; on the other hand, the Jets are laboring in the bottom of the AFC East with no shot at post-season play. Nevertheless, we'll roll with vengeful NY which is 7-1-1 ATS in December and fade the Dolphins which are unproven in December at a miserable 1-12 ATS. It's currently snowing in East Rutherford and Miami will have their second cold weather experience of the year; by the way, the first didn't end well in a blowout loss at Baltimore December 4th. With the combination of traveling cross country, playing in a shocking cold climate, and starting reserve Matt Moore -- who hasn't started in five years. Sure, NY has its share of trouble at the QB position and Bryce Betty is young and inexperienced; however, he showed poise at SF last week and should be more comfortable in his confines of MetLife Stadium. The Jets will attack the Dolphins' 30th ranked run-stop-unit with RB Powell (179 yards last week) and more targets for WR Marshall. Jets a sweet 8-1 ATS in December coming off SU dog win against division foe off home game. Miami a money burning 2-19 ATS as a .500 team as a favorite against a division opponent in December. Jets the call.

Rams/Seahawks 8:25: Hard to go any other way here; after all, the Rams have been inept offensively: receivers dropping balls, offensive line blocking difficulties and a very average rookie QB in a poor horizontal system under OC Boras. On top of it all, Special Teams Coordinator -- Fassell (yeah, the son) in over his head as the Rams' Interim Head Coach. Los Angeles has the unenviable task of taking on a pissed off Seattle team 19-7 ATS off a SU loss, 18-7-1 ATS in December, 6-0 ATS on Thursdays and seeking revenge from earlier season defeat. The 12th man of Seattle should also add to the ineptitude of the Rams' offense. Goff and company will not be able to exploit the Earl Thomas-less secondary unlike Aaron Rodgers did last Sunday. We'll look for Russell Wilson to get back his mojo here.

Ravens/Patriots 8:30: Ravens have been competitive in this series at Foxborough to the tune of 4-0-1 ATS. Baltimore is in the hunt for a playoff wildcard and should play with a sense of urgency. Defense is playing very well and should put in a strong performance against Brady (knee) and his limited cast of experienced weaponry with Gronkowski and Amendola on the rack. And TE Bennett dealing with ankle and shoulder injuries. On the other hand, QB Flacco has enjoyed strong performances against NE and he's shaken out of his early season struggles to finally establishing a rhythm with his receivers. Baltimore is 5-0 ATS on Monday Night Football and a sweet 19-9-1 ATS against winning teams. With the dog in this series at 5-1-1 ATS, we'll look for Baltimore to stick around here.

Cowboys/Giants 8:30: Cowboys in command of earning a playoff bid and I don't see a let up here. With a few extra days rest for prep, we'll look for Dallas to continue their roll; after all, they're 5-0 ATS with rest and revenge. They are, however, notorious for December failure but a new dynamic has emerged in the Cowboys' system this year with Prescott and Elliot behind the best offensive line in football. And a healthy Dez Bryant helps tremendously. As for NY, JPP out will not help the all important pass rush. And I don't like the lack of NY run game and a poor 2-8 ATS in first of back-to-back home games doesn't help matters. We'll look for Dallas to continue to roll here.

Pittsburgh/Buffalo 1:00: Not so fast with Pittsburgh for they're a miserable 3-24 ATS on the road off back-to-back SU/ATS wins, including 0-1 ATS in that role this year -- on a rough road trip down to Miami. Bills should have Watkins and Woods healthy at QB Taylor's disposal. The Bills run game is clicking and the Steelers' defense has shown its vulnerability to the pass on the road this season. After 5 straight losses to Pittsburgh, look for the Bills to grind one out here to stay in the playoff hunt.

Chargers/Panthers 1:00: On the surface, this game seems like a Panthers in the bag win; however, don't ever discount Chargers' QB Rivers in December; after all, he's a sizzling 32-12 SU this month and still has some weaponry to go to today. As for the Panthers, two of their top defensive players are out in LB Kuechly and DE Charles Johnson. And the Chargers' secondary has been pretty solid in forcing turnovers. Chargers 10-1 ATS off a SU loss, 9-1 ATS in Week 14 and 10-2 ATS on the road. Yes, one of those rare warm weather teams that can play in December and we'll look for SD to pull off the upset.

Bears/Lions 1:00: Lions should keep winning momentum as they're right in the grasp of winning their division and eager to seek revenge from early season loss. Lions playing much better now and defensively coming off a masterful performance on the road against the explosive offense of New Orleans. Quite a contrast this week at home against 3rd stringer Matt Barkely and his depleted receiving corps. I do like the Bears' running back Howard; however, Lions' run-stop-unit has done a solid job. Bears' defense should have trouble with emerging MVP candidate Stafford. He should be able to carve up the Bears' secondary here. Bears, against division opponents, are a dismal 0-12 ATS off a DD SU win scoring 26 or more points. And they're a miserable 14-35 ATS on the road in December. We'll roll with the Lions.

Oakland/KC 8:25: Raiders seeking revenge from earlier season loss but despite their impressive play thus far, should slip up here; after all, there are a number of warm weather teams that struggle on the road in December and Oakland is one of them at 19-34 ATS and a money burning 5-14 ATS in Week 14. I do realize this is a much improved Raiders team and offensively among the best in the league. But in 23 degree temperature the opportunistic Chiefs' defense (+14 turnover margin) should create difficulty for Carr and company. On the other hand, the Raiders' defense has its share of breakdowns and the 29th run-stop-unit is a way KC should attack them. And let us not forget the value of speedster Tyreek Hill who has added a new dimension to the Chiefs otherwise conservative offense. And with Maclin back, Alex Smith should find his rhythm. Chiefs should go 6-2 ATS in this series.

He surely will help open holes for RB Forte against the soft Colts' run-stop-unit. And QB Fitzpatrick is much better at home than as a traveler. Sure, Jets will not see the playoffs while the Colts still in the mix and QB Luck returns to the field; however, Jets' defense has given Luck fits in meetings past and will be primed on footballs biggest stage. Jets are 8-3 ATS as a MNF home dog and we'll roll with them.

Giants are 5-2 ATS in Minnesota, 7-3-1 run on road, 31-15-2 in October and 8-1-1 ATS in Week 4. Sure, Giants' secondary befallen by injury but we'll look for the heavy off-season spending on the defensive line to pay dividends tonight. Pierre-Paul and Vernon should assist in creating errant throws by Bradford. And the receiving weaponry at the disposal for the Giants' Manning, should keep NY moving the chains.

SD/KC 1:00: Liked what I saw with Chargers' offensive system under OC Whisenhunt in pre-season. Travis Benjamin and return of K. Allen will help QB Rivers substantially. Defensive upgrades were solid in off-season. McCoy a sweet 10-1 ATS as road dog of 4+!

Bengals/Jets 1:00: Good Jets' line value with a staunch defense and upgraded offense. As for Cincy, losing OC Hue Jackson big, and TE Eifert (out), who is a key cog in the Bengals' system, hurts. Jets are 4-0 ATS at home in series and lots of Jets still on roster remember the 2013 49-9 white-washing. Jets the call.

Panthers/Broncos 6:30: Hard to find weakness on the Panthers' team. Offensively explosive and well rounded. Newton is obviously dangerous as a runner and passer; however, like the Broncos' lock down corners while bookend rusher Ware and hybrid OLB/DE Von Miller have the speed to contain with authority. And the Williams and Wolfe do a great job as run stuffers and getting off blocks to protect interior lanes -- which will be needed against Newton. And Panthers' TE Olsen is dangerous but Wade Phillips' secondary has done a decent job all season limiting TEs not named Gronkowski. Sure, the Panthers' defense has been incredible for most of the year and in post season. And we know the story about Peyton Manning's demise; however, the Broncos were solid in protecting the football and riding horse C.J. Anderson in the playoffs while Manning went to work with timing routes to his talented receiving corps. Lots of action on Panthers but the dog still dangerous in Super Bowls and Denver is dangerous as a dog as better's found out in the AFC Championship. We'll look for Denver to cover.

Cardinals/Panthers 6:40: Cardinals weren't convincing in their win last week but that was expected (had GB +7'). And Carson Palmer looked shaky at best in his playoff moment; however, the important thing is that Palmer and the Cardinals finished and advanced. Today, Palmer should settle in and get back to establishing the nice rhythm we saw from him throughout the regular season. The Panthers do have holes in their secondary that can be exploited as Russell Wilson demonstrated in the second half of last week's game with a masterful performance. The Panthers shaky second half of that game gives me reason to believe Arizona can deliver here; after all, Arizona can also atone for last year's 27-16 loss behind a third string QB who guided the offense to a grand total of 88 yards and they were a mere 6 points away from covering the game! Keep in mind Bruce Arians is 12-0 ATS as a dog of less than 4 points. The Cardinals are dangerous here and we'll take them.
