12-17-21 | Stars v. Blues +101 | 1-4 | Win | 101 | 9 h 4 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Blues are dealing with plenty of injuries right now but they continue to win. They have won 4 of their last 5 games and 3 of those wins were without their top 2 goaltenders. Jordan Binnington returned from the COVID list but Charlie Lindgren has been hot so I wouldn’t be surprised if they ride him. The Blues are 10-3-2 at home while the Stars are 4-8-1 on the road. The Stars have lost 4 straight games and they just lost their last game to the Blues 4-1 in Dallas. I like the Blues to stay hot at home with a cheap price to sweep this home and home. |
12-17-21 | Capitals v. Jets -110 | 5-2 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 1 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Caps returned many players from the COVID list in their last game but since they are playing in Canada, those players are not allowed to play yet. So Nic Dowd, Trevor Van Riemsdyk, Garnet Hathaway and Evgeny Kuznetsov will all be out for the Caps tonight in COVID protocols. Tom Wilson could be out again too after missing the past two games. The Jets have struggled losing 3 of their last 4 games but they are rested and they are much better at home at 9-5-1. The Jets will be without Blake Wheeler, but this is still a very good price against half the Caps regulars. Take the Jets at home. |
12-16-21 | Blue Jackets v. Oilers UNDER 6.5 | 2-5 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 56 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units This total has risen from 6 to my magic number of 6.5 because the Oilers are starting backup Stuart Skinner over Mikko Koskinen in net, but I don't care. Offensively, Edmonton has scored two goals or fewer in five straight games. Columbus generally isn't the type of team to score more than three goals. |
12-16-21 | Blue Jackets +185 v. Oilers | 2-5 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 54 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Oilers have now lost 6 straight games, and they didn’t score more than 1 goal in 4 of those games. I see no reason why the Oilers should be -200 favorites tonight the way they have been playing. The Blue Jackets struggle on the road but they are very capable live dogs. They went up 3-0 in the first period before blowing the lead to the Kraken in their last game, so I think if they can get a lead, they will be much more focused to finish it out. In the last 7 days, road underdogs are actually 16-14-2 (50.0%) so let’s see if we can catch this trend against a team who has lost 6 in a row. |
12-16-21 | Sabres v. Wild OVER 6 | 3-2 | Loss | -113 | 8 h 16 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen has actually been very good for the Sabres since being called up not allowing more than 3 goals in a game. However, he will face the highest scoring team in the league in Minnesota tonight as they are averaging 4.5 goals per game at home. Wild overs are 11-1 at home while Sabres are 8-4 to the over on the road. Cam Talbot is starting for the Wild and he allowed 6 goals in his last outing, I like this over. |
12-16-21 | Bruins +115 v. Islanders | 1-3 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 36 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Brad Marchand is out for the Bruins, but Matthew Barzal and Ryan Pulock are still out for the Islanders. These two teams met in the Conference Semifinals last season and this is their first meeting since, so there will be plenty of bad blood. Linus Ullmark has won 4 of his last 5 games and he hasn’t allowed more than 2 goals in any of them. Road underdogs have actually won at a 50.0% rate in the last 7 days so hopefully the trend continues. Take the value in the Bruins. |
12-16-21 | Bruins v. Islanders UNDER 5.5 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 33 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Brad Marchand and Matthew Barzal will be out for this game and those are big losses for both teams. The Islanders average just 2.13 goals per game while the Bruins average just 2.76 goals per game. 7 of the last 8 games for the Bruins have come in with this under, and the Islanders average an even lower 1.6 goals per game at home. Linus Ullmark has been very good for the Bruins. This should be a defensive battle with both top offensive players injured, take the under. |
12-16-21 | Flyers -150 v. Canadiens | 2-3 | Loss | -150 | 7 h 20 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Cayden Primeau is expected to start for the Canadiens tonight and he is 0-2-0 with a 4.8 GAA this season. The Canadiens have also lost 7 straight games and they are still missing a bunch of key players. The Flyers have now won 3 straight games and they have some momentum after their extended losing streak. They have scored at least 4 goals in each of their past 3 wins, I expect the scoring to continue tonight. |
12-16-21 | Golden Knights v. Devils UNDER 6 | 5-3 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 50 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units I understand why this total has moved to 6, but New Jersey simply can't score right now and Devils netminder Mackenzie Blackwood has been way better at home (1.98 GAA) so he could slow a potent Knights offense. Vegas is expected to go with backup Laurent Brossoit (2.66 GAA, .911 SV), but he actually has better numbers than No. 1 Robin Lehner. We might push here, but I don't think lose barring a 3-3 tie at the end of regulation. |
12-15-21 | Seattle Kraken v. Ducks -152 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 11 h 26 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Kraken picked up a win last night in San Jose and head to Anaheim for the second game of a back-to-back. The Ducks have been off since Sunday, so they have been waiting at home after their long road trip. The Ducks have won 3 of their last 4 games while the Kraken have lost 4 of 6. Phillip Grubauer has lost 5 of his last 6 games and he has allowed at least 3 goals in 6 straight games. I think this is a tough assignment for Grubauer to turn it around on the road on a back-to-back. Both John Gibson and Anthony Stolarz have been good this season so I don’t mind who is starting for the Ducks. |
12-15-21 | Capitals -144 v. Blackhawks | 4-5 | Loss | -144 | 9 h 28 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Nicklas Backstrom, Nic Dowd and Trevor Van Riemsdyk all traveled for this game so I would expect them to be back in the lineup. The Blackhawks beat the Caps for the first time since 2006 in Washington earlier this season but the Caps are healthy now. Both starting goalies should be starting after getting their last game off and both teams are rested having not played since Saturday. I like the Caps to even the season series tonight. |
12-14-21 | Seattle Kraken v. Sharks -140 | 3-1 | Loss | -140 | 12 h 58 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Pretty reasonable price on San Jose at home considering Seattle has just three road wins. Sharks netminder James Reimer has been terrific with a 1.98 GAA and .937 SV overall. The Kraken's Philipp Grubauer is 1-4-2 on the road with a 3.82 GAA. |
12-14-21 | Blues v. Stars -145 | 4-1 | Loss | -145 | 5 h 22 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Both teams are a bit thinned-out by injury and COVID but especially St. Louis. The Blues' top two goaltenders are out, so it's Charlie Lindgren here. He has been quite good in two starts but history shows he's not a top-flight NHL netminder. The Stars' Jake Oettinger has made six starts this year and not allowed more than two goals in either. The Under also might be a wise play. |
12-14-21 | Islanders v. Red Wings -115 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 4 h 24 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Red Wings are 9-3-2 at home this season although they have lost their last three games. The Isles finally broke their losing streak and they have won 2 of their last 3 games. However, they have still lost 8 of 10 overall and they are 6-6-3 on the road. The Red Wings just beat the Isles at home, 4-3, 10 days ago. Alex Nedeljkovic is expected to be back in net after getting their last game off, take the value in the Red Wings at home. |
12-12-21 | Panthers v. Avalanche -144 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 8 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Panthers are just 4-3-4 on the road this season while the Aves are 8-2-1 at home. The Aves have scored 7 goals in each of their last 3 games, and they average 2.1 more goals per game than their opponent on home ice. The Panthers are a completely different team on the road, and they average 1.5 goals fewer. Take the Aves to stay hot at home. |
12-12-21 | Panthers v. Avalanche OVER 6.5 | 2-3 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 6 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units I usually stay away from overs at 6.5 but honestly this over/under should be set at 7. Both these teams are high risk, high reward teams. Anthony Duclair and Aleksander Barkov were out of the lineup last game but they could be back in tonight. Gabriel Landeskog left the Aves last game early, but Nazem Kadri is expected to return tonight. Aves home games are 8-2 to the over this season and the Aves have scored 7 goals in each of their last 3 games. Take the over. |
12-11-21 | Stars v. Sharks -103 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 3 h 7 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Stars are playing their third road game in four nights after losing their first two. They are now 4-7-1 on the road this season while the Sharks are 6-5-1 at home. The Sharks have lost 3 of their last 4 games but those were all with Adin Hill starting for the Sharks. James Reimer is expected to return for the Sharks and he has been very good this season going 8-4-1 with a 2.05 GAA. Take the Sharks at home. |
12-11-21 | Bruins +120 v. Flames | 4-2 | Win | 120 | 9 h 5 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Flames are just 4-2-4 at home this season and they have lost three straight games after winning 6 of their last 7. The Bruins got Brad Marchand back last game and he proved to be a big addition as he added some scoring. The Bruins are 6-4-1 on the road this season and they’ve had a tough time winning back-to-back games, but the Flames are very streaky and they tend to lose multiple in a row when they lose. I think this game is more of a toss-up, I like the value in the Bruins. |
12-11-21 | Hurricanes +113 v. Oilers | 3-1 | Win | 113 | 9 h 3 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Oilers have now lost 4 straight games and they’ve only scored 7 total goals in those 4 games. They broke out of a 1 for 16 slump on the power play last game with 2 PPGs, but they were still shutout in 5 on 5 play for the loss. The Canes have the second-best penalty kill in the league and I think the Oilers will have a tough time scoring against them. The Canes have now won 3 straight games and they didn’t allow more than 2 goals in any of the three. I think this is a low scoring game and that should play right into the Canes, take the value on the Canes. |
12-11-21 | Hurricanes v. Oilers UNDER 6.5 | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 60 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Oilers have the best power play in the league, but they will be facing the second-best penalty kill in the league, so that should keep scoring in check. The Oilers haven’t scored more than 2 goals in any of their last 3 games while the Canes haven’t allowed more than 2 goals in any of their last three. The Oilers goalies have been questionable lately so I am a little worried that pushes this one over, but now that it is at 6.5 there is still value. I was originally going to wait to make sure the starting goalies were in but now the line jumped up to 6.5 so I think there's value either way. Wouldn't be surprised to see Severance hop on too now since we all know his love for 6.5 unders, and it looks like this is the only 6.5 today. Take the under. |
12-11-21 | Bruins v. Flames UNDER 5.5 | 4-2 | Loss | -135 | 9 h 46 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Bruins score just 2.8 goals per game on the road while the Flames score just 2.7 goals per game at home, but these are two of the best defenses in the league. The Flames allow just 2.15 goals per game, good for 1st in the league, while the Bruins allow just 2.57 goals per game, good for 6th best. Linus Ullmark hasn’t allowed more than 2 goals in any of his last 4 starts and Jeremy Swayman has been even better for the Bruins. Jacob Markstrom hasn’t allowed more than 3 goals in his last 12 starts. Both teams are top 10 in penalty kill %, if we can avoid a 3-2 empty netter, this should finish under. |
12-11-21 | Flyers v. Coyotes UNDER 6 | 5-3 | Loss | -120 | 7 h 25 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Flyers played last night and won, so they are expected to start Martin Jones in net today while the Coyotes played yesterday as well, so they are expected to start Karel Vejmelka today. The Flyers average just 1.8 goals per game on the road, so don’t let their 4 goal outburst against a backup goalie last night fool you. The Coyotes average just 2.3 goals per game this season at home and they haven’t scored more than 2 goals in their last 6 games. These are your 27th and 32nd ranked teams in terms of goals scored, take the under. |
12-10-21 | Jets v. Canucks UNDER 6 | 3-4 | Loss | -119 | 5 h 55 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Canucks unders are now 11-1 at home and as Ive said, we will ride that trend until it stops. All three of the Canucks home games this homestand have hit this under and the Jets played last night so they should be a little weary. The Canucks have played very good defense in front of Thatcher Demko since hiring Bruce Boudreau and I think that will continue tonight against a poor road team. The Jets score just 2.3 goals per game on the road while the Canucks score 2.2 goals per game at home. Eric Comrie should get the start for the Jets, but he has been solid so far this season. It looks like this line will rise to 6 but I actually want to get this play in at +115 at 5.5 instead of adding a push scenario at -125 at 6 because I feel like there is more value at plus money. If it goes over, I think there will be more than 6 goals scored. |
12-10-21 | Red Wings v. Avalanche -1.5 | 3-7 | Win | 100 | 8 h 27 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Aves got all their key players back from injury last game but Nazem Kadri did leave the game early and is listed as day-to-day. Cale Makar and Nathan MacKinnon are both healthy tho. The Aves are 7-2-1 at home this season and 7-3 ATS at home. They average 4.7 goals per game at home and they face the Red Wings on the back end of a back-to-back. The Wings are 4-8-1 on the road and 4-9 ATS, I like the Aves at home on the puck line against a weary Detroit team most likely starting their backup goalie. |
12-10-21 | Penguins v. Capitals -142 | 4-2 | Loss | -142 | 6 h 29 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Caps won the first meeting between these teams 6-1 and it wasn’t even close. That was Sidney Crosby and company's first game back but now the Caps are the ones getting healthy. They lost a couple players to the COVID list in Garnet Hathaway and Trevor Van Riemsdyk, but they add a couple as well from injury in Connor Sheary and TJ Oshie. The Caps are 9-1-4 at home this season and they are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games. The Penguins have been much better playing to a 7-2-1 record in their last 10 games as well, but the Caps score the fourth most goals in the league while allowing the 3rd fewest, both better than the Penguins. Take the Caps at home. |
12-09-21 | Wild -139 v. Sharks | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 11 h 14 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Wild have now won 7 straight games and they have allowed more than 2 goals just one time during that stretch. The Wild are the third highest scoring team in the league while the Sharks are ranked 24th, so the Sharks should have a tough time keeping up with them. Adin Hill played well in his last game but he has been very hit or miss all season. The Sharks are just 6-4-1 at home while the Wild are 8-4-1 on the road this season so the Sharks shouldn’t have a noticeable advantage. I like the Wild to extend their winning streak to 8 games. |
12-09-21 | Predators v. Islanders -105 | 4-3 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 19 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units I believe the Islanders will take off now that they finally got the monkey off their backs in ending an 11-game losing streak Tuesday. Too much talent on this team. Just needed to get healthy. Now the Isles have to get the home monkey off their backs: Yet to win at the new UBS Arena. Nashville played without No. 1 goaltender Juuse Saros in Tuesday's 5-2 win at Detroit due to an illness and there's a good chance he sits out again. The Preds are 2-5 in their last seven after scoring at least five goals in their previous game. |
12-09-21 | Ducks v. Blue Jackets -103 | 2-1 | Loss | -103 | 8 h 46 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Blue Jackets are a completely different team at home vs. on the road. They are 4-8-0 on the road this season but 9-3-0 at home. They average over a goal per game more at home as well, scoring 3.8 goals per game at home. The Ducks are just 5-4-3 on the road and John Gibson has lost 6 of his last 7 starts. Patrick Laine will be out for the Blue Jackets as he is tending to a family matter, but I still like the value on the Blue Jackets at home as a pick em. |
12-09-21 | Blackhawks -130 v. Canadiens | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 5 h 48 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units This might be the only time I back Chicago on the road this season, but the Canadiens' injured/COVID list is ridiculous right now. The Hawks, meanwhile, are getting a few injured defensemen back. I also expect a stellar night from Marc-Andre Fleury in net. He's from the Montreal area and has a chance to get his 500th career win near his hometown. You know it's important to him. Fleury would be only the third netminder to reach 500. Chicago has won its past four vs. teams with a losing record. |
12-08-21 | Stars v. Golden Knights -135 | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 13 h 54 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Dallas carries a seven-game winning streak into this one, but six of those wins were at home and the lone road victory at awful Arizona, so color me skeptical. The Stars are 4-5-1 on the road and 6-13 dating to last season in their past 19 as road dogs. Vegas is finally healthy for the most part after major injury and COVID issues and has won two straight. Las Vegas is one of the toughest places to play for opponents and the Knights are 8-5-0 there. Vegas won in Dallas early this season and that was with backup Laurent Brossoit in net. Should be Robin Lehner on Wednesday. |
12-07-21 | Flames -125 v. Sharks | 3-5 | Loss | -125 | 5 h 20 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Jacob Markstrom has won five of his last seven starts and he has been better on the road, with a 1.71 GAA.. The Flames are better on the road at 11-3-2 and they are coming off a loss, so they should be motivated. The Sharks are just 5-4-1 at home and they should have a tough time scoring against the Flames. Take the Flames on the road Tuesday. |
12-07-21 | Wild v. Oilers -118 | 4-1 | Loss | -118 | 7 h 28 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Minnesota is an excellent team, but getting Edmonton at this number at home, where the Oilers are 9-2, is something we have to take. Both the Oilers and Wild are undefeated when leading after both the first and second periods this season. Minnesota is the third-most penalized team (254 penalty minutes) in the NHL. The Oilers come off a 5-1 home loss to the Kings but are 7-0 in their past seven when scoring two goals or fewer in their previous game. |
12-07-21 | Panthers v. Blues +140 | 3-4 | Win | 140 | 8 h 24 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Panthers have now won 7 of their last 9 games, however all 7 of those wins were at home. They are just 3-3-3 on the road this season while the Blues are 7-3-1 at home. These two teams just faced off in Florida and the Panthers won a close 1-goal game, so I think the Blues are able to make the adjustments to get the win at home tonight. I also think there is a massive overreaction to Ville Husso starting with Jordan Binnington out, but Husso was actually playing better before Binnington entered COVID protocol. Sergei Bobrovsky hasn’t been at his best lately so get on this play now because if Spencer Knight gets the start, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he does, the line will go up. |
12-07-21 | Hurricanes v. Jets -106 | 4-2 | Loss | -106 | 8 h 52 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Hurricanes have a bit of a goalie problem right now. Frederik Anderson has allowed four goals in three of his last four games, so Antti Raanta got the last two starts. The Canes have also lost five of their last seven. The Jets have won three of their last four. They are getting plenty of shots on goal and scoring lots of goals. They’ve scored 18 goals the past 4 games despite getting shut out once.. The Jets are 9-3-1 at home and both teams will be peppering the goalies with shots, so I like the home team with the better goalies |
12-07-21 | Ducks -115 v. Sabres | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 8 h 52 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units It's the second of a back-to-back for Anaheim, but I still prefer the Ducks' backup goaltender Anthony Stolarz, to Buffalo's Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, who was just called up from the AHL because the team is so thin at the position right now due to injury. Luukkonen was 1-3-0 with a 3.88 GAA in the NHL last year as a rookie and a mediocre 6-6 with a 3.42 GAA this year in the AHL. The Sabres have given up 20 goals over the last three games, their most in a three-game stretch since yielding a franchise-record 21 goals in February 1993. |
12-07-21 | Predators v. Red Wings +113 | 5-2 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 26 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Red Wings are red hot right now having won 5 straight games, and they are 9-2-2 at home. The Predators haven’t won back-to-back games in about a month and they are just 5-5-1 on the road. Alex Nedeljkovic has been very good for the Wings only allowing more than 3 goals twice this season. He has also won 4 straight starts and allowed 2 goals or fewer in 5 of the last 6 games. Juuse Saros has been good too but he is much worse on the road with a 3.26 GAA. Take the Red wings at home. |
12-07-21 | Blue Jackets v. Maple Leafs UNDER 6 | 4-5 | Loss | -118 | 7 h 40 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Blue Jackets score just 2.5 goals per game on the road, and they didn’t score more than three in any of the four games in their last road trip. The Maple Leafs are dominant at home where they are 9-5 to the Under, but they only allow two goals per game at home. This was 5.5 earlier but it has popped up to 6 so I will take it while its at 6. I think the Blue Jackets score 2 goals max, so we just have to hope the Maple Leafs sc, so let's take the Under at this number. |
12-06-21 | Penguins v. Seattle Kraken -104 | 6-1 | Loss | -104 | 6 h 28 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units With news that Casey Desmith is expected to start for the Penguins, I will happily take the Kraken at home. Casey Desmith is 0-4-1 with a 4.32 GAA this season. The Kraken are 6-6-0 at home this season and they have sneakily won 3 of their last 4 games and 5 of their last 7. Phillip Grubauer has been much better lately after a tough start to the season. He has won 3 of his last 5 starts and he hasn’t allowed more than 3 goals in a start in his last 8 games. Take the value on the Kraken at home. |
12-06-21 | Kings v. Canucks UNDER 5.5 | 0-4 | Win | 110 | 5 h 56 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Canucks are 9-1 to the under at home this season and the Kings are 6-2 to the under on the road. The Kings played last night so they should be a little weary. Last night's game was also 2-1 until the very end of the third period so the 5-1 final score is deceiving. Cal Peterson is the Kings backup and he is expected to start tonight, but he has only allowed more than 3 goals twice this season. Thatcher Demko has been much better for the Canucks as of late, but the Canucks just fired their leadership so I would expect the Canucks to be more focused tonight with everyone now playing for their job security. I think one of these teams gets shut down, I like the under. |
12-06-21 | Avalanche -195 v. Flyers | 7-5 | Win | 100 | 5 h 42 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Flyers just fired their coach and while I do think it was necessary, I don’t think in the middle of a back-to-back with no practices with a new coach was the best timing. The Aves are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Senators so they should come out more focused tonight. Martin Jones should be starting for the Flyers after relieving Carter Hart last night, but he is 0-3-1 with a 3.76 GAA in his last 4 starts. The Aves are currently missing Cale Makar, Nazem Kadri, Bowen Byram, and Darcy Keumper to injury but all are day-to-day and could be back. Jonas Johansson has been very bad when he has struggled but he also allowed 2 goals or fewer in 3 of his last 5 starts since Keumper was hurt. The Flyers have lost 8 in a row. Lay the juice on the Aves, this line will only go up. |
12-06-21 | Avalanche v. Flyers UNDER 6.5 | 7-5 | Loss | -109 | 5 h 40 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units You know the drill: If the total is 6.5 goals, I'm going Under. It's just not that easy for two teams to total seven goals in an NHL game regardless of whom is in net. The Flyers have been held to three goals or fewer in eight straight games -- all losses. That cost coach Alain Vigneault his job today. |
12-06-21 | Senators v. Devils UNDER 6.5 | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 5 h 35 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Wow, two games with totals of 6.5 today! Not sure I've seen that this season. The Sens are not a good offensive team so I can easily see Mackenzie Blackwood holding them to one goal. Don't expect New Jersey to score six to go Over this number. I may come back and play the moneyline on this one as well. |
12-05-21 | Flames +115 v. Golden Knights | 2-3 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 24 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Flames have won 7 of their last 8 games and they are 11-2-2 on the road this season. The Golden Knights are just about healthy, but Robin Lehner has struggled this season, and they are just 7-5-0 on home ice. Vegas has lost 3 of their last 5 games and the Flames will make it very hard for the Knights to score. I like the value in the Flames on the road. |

12-05-21 | Maple Leafs v. Jets -115 | 3-6 | Win | 100 | 6 h 27 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Second of a back-to-back for the Leafs, who will not have forward Mitch Marner and his 21 points due to injury. Toronto also will be starting a backup goaltender, either Joseph Woll if healthy enough to go or Michael Hutchinson. Either is a downgrade from Jack Campbell -- Woll has been good but it seems unlikely he plays since he wasn't healthy enough to serve as the No. 2 on Saturday. |
12-05-21 | Kings v. Oilers -185 | 5-1 | Loss | -185 | 6 h 23 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Mikko Koskinen is expected to be back in net for the Oilers as they head home. They are 9-1-0 at home on the season. The Kings have lost 7 of their last 8 games and they are 3-3-2 on the road this season. The Kings have lost 8 of their last 9 trips to Edmonton as well. These teams are trending in complete opposite directions. Jonathan Quick allowed 4 goals and 6 goals in his last 2 games. This line should be at least -200 and probably higher, so we will take the value on the home team before it goes up. |
12-03-21 | Oilers -125 v. Seattle Kraken | 3-4 | Loss | -125 | 12 h 30 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units This moneyline surprises me as the Oilers are 16-5-0 and the Kraken 8-13-0 and Edmonton is only -125. I'll happily take it. This will be the Oilers' first-ever game in Seattle. The Kraken visited Edmonton on Nov. 1 and lost 5-2 as NHL scoring leader Leon Draisaitl had two goals and two assists. Two of Seattle's best forwards, Jordan Eberle and Jaden Schwartz, may not play due to injury. The Kraken have lost seven straight vs. Western Conference foes. |
12-03-21 | Golden Knights v. Coyotes +197 | 7-1 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 25 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Karel Vejmelka should be in the net for the Coyotes, and he is coming off a 40 save shutout in Winnipeg. The Coyotes have actually won 4 of their last 10 games now while the Golden Knights have lost 2 in a row and 4 of 10. The Knights are getting healthier, but they still struggle on the road at 5-5-0. Robin Lehner is 9-9-0 with a 3.08 GAA this season and he has lost 3 of his last 4 starts. The Puck line at -135 is tempting but I will go for it on the ML with the home dog. |
12-03-21 | Devils v. Jets -189 | 4-8 | Win | 100 | 11 h 32 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Second of a back-to-back for New Jersey, which should mean backup goaltender Jonathan Bernier. He has lost four straight starts. Always the chance New Jersey loses someone to injury on Thursday as well. Winnipeg is fully healthy/COVID free for perhaps the first time all season. The Jets have lost six of seven but five of those games were away. They are 7-3-1 at home. New Jersey has just one victory in the past eight in the series. |
11-30-21 | Coyotes +1.5 v. Wild | 2-5 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 29 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Arizona shocked the Jets in Winnipeg on Monday as a massive underdog; can the Yotes do it again Tuesday in the Twin Cities? Obviously doubtful, but getting Arizona on the puckline at +120 I can't turn down. The Wild are without their best offensive player in Mats Zuccarello and are starting backup goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen, who has been very shaky in two or four starts this year. |
11-30-21 | Lightning v. Blues -126 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 6 h 25 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units This ML has spiked a bit because the Lightning are starting backup goaltender Brian Elliott, and he's a massive downgrade from Andrei Vasilevskiy. Elliott hasn't played since Nov. 21 and has 3.30 GAA and .878 save percentage in three contests. The Blues are 7-2 in their past nine as home favorites. They aren't playing great overall but have won three straight at home. |
11-30-21 | Capitals v. Panthers OVER 6 | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 5 h 27 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units These two teams have already played twice this season with both totals hitting this over, and 7 straight matchups in this series have hit this over. Both these teams score a lot, and both these teams have good power plays. The Panthers score 4.2 goals per game at home while the Caps score 3.4 goals per game on the road, I like this over. |
11-29-21 | Penguins +130 v. Flames | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 41 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Penguins 5 game win streak was snapped last game, but that was with Casey Desmith starting. Jarry hasn’t allowed more than one goal in any of his last 5 starts, and the Penguins won all five of those games. The Flames have won four of their last 5 games and they are just 3-2-3 at home this season while the Penguins are 5-2-2 on the road. |
11-29-21 | Canucks v. Canadiens -120 | 2-1 | Loss | -120 | 8 h 7 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Canucks lost a heartbreaker to the Bruins yesterday allowing 2 PPG in the third period to lose the game to the Bruins. Thatcher Demko should be back in net for the Canucks, and he has struggled with a 3.07 GAA. The Canucks have lost 9 of their last 10 games overall and they are 3-8-1 on the road. The Canadiens are better at home at 4-6-1 and Jake Allen was very good in their last game. Take the Habs at home. |
11-28-21 | Sharks v. Blackhawks -116 | 2-0 | Loss | -116 | 8 h 7 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Marc Andre Fleury should be back in net tonight after getting the Blackhawks last game off. But even if he isn't, Kevin Lankanen played very well last game after allowing 2 goals early. He has also been much better at home with a 2.23 GAA. The Hawks were able to put together a comeback from down 2-0 and get the win in OT too, so I think they should carry some of that momentum over. James Reimer has been good for the Sharks this season but the Sharks have lost 5 of their last 8 games and 3 of their last 4 on the road. The Hawks have won 4 straight games at home and 6 of their last 8 games overall. Take the value in the Hawks at home. |
11-27-21 | Jets v. Flames -165 | 4-2 | Loss | -165 | 6 h 20 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Jets were embarrassed last night losing 7-1 to the Wild and they have now lost 4 straight games. The Jets are also 2-5-3 on the road. The Flames have won four straight games and they are leading their division. The Jets haven’t been scoring lately and they will have a very tough time against one of the stingiest defenses in the league. |
11-27-21 | Blue Jackets v. Blues -174 | 3-6 | Win | 100 | 4 h 18 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Both these teams played yesterday so both backup goalies should be starting again. However, I think Ville Husso has been better than Joonas Korpisalo this season. The Blue Jackets are much worse on the road and I think the Blues will come out strong after a tough loss to the Blackhawks last night. |
11-27-21 | Seattle Kraken v. Panthers -193 | 4-1 | Loss | -193 | 2 h 16 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Of the 9 NHL games on the slate today, 8 teams are favored by -175 or more. There isn’t a ton of value out there today, so I figure going with 3 home favorites and hope at worst case we go 2-1 and break even. The Panthers are a completely different team at home where they are undefeated, and the Kraken have just 1 road win all season. Both backups in Spencer Knight and Chris Dreidger should be starting so I like the home team. |
11-26-21 | Canucks v. Blue Jackets -138 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 55 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Canucks have now lost 7 of their last 8 games, and they really haven’t been close, only coming within a goal in 2 of those losses. The Blue Jackets have won 4 out of 5 and they are 7-3-0 at home this season. The Canucks are seriously struggling, and the Blue Jackets have a big goaltender advantage, I like the Jackets at home. |
11-26-21 | Panthers v. Capitals -108 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 5 h 59 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Panthers are still without Aleksander Barkov and the Caps are still without many key players as well. However, these two teams played in Florida earlier this season and the Panthers were able to squeeze one out in OT. The Panthers have won four straight games but those were all at home. They have lost 4 straight games on the road. Home stadiums should make a bigger difference around the holidays, I like the Caps at home. |
11-26-21 | Jets v. Wild -125 | 1-7 | Win | 100 | 4 h 33 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Jets are just 2-4-3 on the road this season while the Wild are 5-2-0 at home. The Jets have lost 4 straight games and they’ve scored 4 goals total in those 4 games. Both goalies have been good, but the Wild have been scoring while the Jets have not. I like the Wild at home. |
11-26-21 | Hurricanes v. Flyers +124 | 6-3 | Loss | -100 | 1 h 6 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Flyers are down a handful of injured guys, but the Hurricanes have to be fatigued in the conclusion of a six-game road trip. They look tired following back-to-back losses and are starting backup goaltender Antti Raanta. Philly's Carter Hart has been much better at home and already beat the Canes once this season -- and that was on the road. |
11-26-21 | Jets v. Wild UNDER 6 | 1-7 | Loss | -117 | 1 h 3 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Wild are always better defensively at home with the last line change, while Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck has a 1.63 GAA and .949 save percentage through his last three starts. Winnipeg has scored just four goals combined during a four-game skid. |
11-26-21 | Blues v. Blackhawks +127 | 2-3 | Win | 127 | 3 h 18 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Hawks have won 4 of their last 5 home games and 5 of their last 7 games overall. The Blues have lost 6 of their last 8 games overall and 3 of their last 4 games on the road. Marc Andrew Fleury has been much better lately while Jordan Binnington has still looked iffy. I like the value in the home dog. |
11-24-21 | Senators v. Sharks -160 | 3-6 | Win | 100 | 11 h 46 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Senators have one victory in their past nine games and remain thinned out due to COVID/injury, including leading scorer Drake Batherson. San Jose starts James Reimer in net and we backed him to upset the Hurricanes on Monday and he did. Reimer has a 1.70 GAA at home this season. |
11-24-21 | Oilers v. Coyotes +1.5 | 5-3 | Loss | -145 | 9 h 31 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Hey, a decent puckline price finally on an underdog! (-140). Don't look now, but the Coyotes have won three of four and new No. 1 goaltender Scott Wedgewood has been great since being picked up off waivers as he's 3-1-1 with a 2.04 GAA with the Yotes. The Oilers are playing the second of a back-to-back and were shut down Tuesday in a loss in Dallas (we won on the Under). Edmonton also is missing a handful of injured guys. |
11-24-21 | Maple Leafs v. Kings UNDER 5.5 | 6-2 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 27 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Both these teams have been very good defensively to start the season and both teams have had very good goaltending. Maple Leafs unders are 14-6 overall and 5-2 on the road while Kings unders are 13-5 overall and 7-3 at home. The Leafs have scored more than 3 goals just one time in their last 8 games while the Kings have scored more than three just once in their last 6 games. Both teams are well rested, I like the under. |
11-24-21 | Flyers v. Panthers UNDER 6.5 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 11 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Flyers are playing tonight in Tampa Bay so they will have to presumably use their backup netminder at Florida on Wednesday, but those of you who follow me know that I will never turn down an O/U of 6.5. Philly didn't exactly enter Tuesday's matchup tearing it up offensively. Panthers netminder Sergei Bobrovsky has a 1.99 GAA. Florida remains without one of its best forwards in Aleksander Barkov, who has 17 points. |
11-24-21 | Jets v. Blue Jackets +120 | 0-3 | Win | 120 | 7 h 24 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Blue Jackets are a completely different team at home going 6-3-0 on the season but they have also won three of their last 4 games overall. They have been scoring a lot lately and they are averaging 3.7 goals per game at home. The Jets have now lost three straight games after winning three straight games, but they have only scored 4 goals in the last 3 games. The Blue Jackets goalies haven’t been as dominant of late, but the Blue Jackets scoring has been making up for it. The Jets are just 2-3-3 on the road this season, I like the value in the home dog. |
11-24-21 | Canucks v. Penguins -200 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 22 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Penguins seem to have figured it out, winning their last three games and only allowing 1 total goal while doing it. They face the Canucks who are 3-5-1 on the road this season and have lost 6 of their last 7 games. Tristan Jarry has been very good for the Penguins while Thatcher Demko struggles on the road, allowing 7 goals in each of his last 2 road games. Take the Penguins at home. |
11-24-21 | Flyers v. Panthers -170 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 7 h 20 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Flyers were shutout last night in Tampa Bay and now they have to go to Florida, where the Panthers are 10-0 at home this season. The Flyers have lost three straight games and 5 of their last 7 games and Martin Jones should be in net instead of Carter Hart tonight. The Panthers are dominant at home and should have no trouble with a weary Flyers team despite missing Aleksander Barkov. I like the Panthers to stay undefeated at home. |
11-24-21 | Canadiens v. Capitals UNDER 6 | 3-6 | Loss | -109 | 7 h 18 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Canadiens remain without a large chunk of their top offensive players and I don't see them scoring more than one goal against Capitals netminder Ilya Samsonov, who is coming off back-to-back shutouts. Montreal does get back No. 1 goaltender Jake Allen from injury so in my scenario, we simply need him to hold Washington to four goals and we hit this under. |
11-24-21 | Canadiens v. Capitals -185 | 3-6 | Win | 100 | 5 h 29 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Jake Allen returns tonight for the Canadiens but the Habs still have just one road win all season. The Caps have a bad taste in their mouth after losing the last game of the road trip to the Kraken and they are rested. The Caps will still be without many key players including TJ Oshie and Conor Sheary but they have continued to win. Ilya Samsonov has lost just one game this season and that was in OT. Usually I won’t play this many heavy favorites, especially on the same night, but home favorites have been winning at an incredible rate this season and home games around the holidays seem to mean more. Take the Caps at home. |
11-23-21 | Blackhawks v. Flames UNDER 5.5 | 2-5 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 2 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Both Jacob Markstrom and Marc Andre Fleury have been very good lately, and both these teams are coming off wins and shutouts in their last game. The Flames have allowed just 36 goals in 19 games while the Blackhawks have scored just 40 goals in 18 games. Fleury hasn’t allowed more than 2 goals in any of his last 4 games, and Markstrom hasn’t allowed more than 2 goals in any of his last 3 games. I like the under. |
11-23-21 | Oilers +100 v. Stars | 1-4 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 27 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Both these teams are expected to start backup goalies tonight but both backup goalies have been playing pretty well. The Stars have won just 4 of their last 10 games and they face the Oilers who have won 7 of 10. The Oilers were the best team in the league on the road last season and they’ve started 5-3-0 on the road this season. They are without Darnell Nurse because of injury and Mikko Koskinen like I mentioned, but other than that they are pretty healthy. Take the Oilers on the road in a pick ‘em. |
11-22-21 | Hurricanes v. Sharks +137 | 1-2 | Win | 137 | 7 h 1 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units No question the Hurricanes are the better, team but this is the fourth game of a six-game trip and fatigue could be setting in. Also, backup Antti Raanta is in net. He's 2-0 with a 2.27 GAA but still a downgrade from Frederik Andersen. We'll take the shot on the Sharks at home (like to do the puckline but the -190 price is ridiculous) behind James Reimer and his 1.98 GAA. At home, it's 1.94. |
11-22-21 | Golden Knights +135 v. Blues | 2-5 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 12 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units These two teams are trending in complete opposite directions with the Knights winning 7 of their last 10 games and 2 in a row, while the Blues have lost 7 of their last 10 games and 6 of their last 8. The Knights are still without many key players but Robin Lehner should be back in net after getting last game off. Jordan Binnington has lost his last 4 starts and he allowed at least 3 goals in all 4 games. The Knights are just 4-3-0 on the road but the Blues are just 4-3-1 at home. |
11-22-21 | Blue Jackets v. Sabres +106 | 7-4 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 4 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Dustin Tokarski should be back in net for the Sabres tonight after getting last night off, and I think a game the next day is honestly the best thing for the Sabres after giving up a game-winning goal with 1 second left last night. The Sabres are 5-3-1 at home while the Blue Jackets are just 3-3-0 on the road. The Sabres played last night but the Blue Jackets flew in from Vegas last night, so make of that what you will. Backup goalie Joonas Korpisalo is starting for the Blue Jackets and he is 2-3-0 with a 3.55 GAA. Take the Sabres at home. |
11-21-21 | Capitals -115 v. Seattle Kraken | 2-5 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 52 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Caps have won 6 of their last 7 games and they are 6-1-2 on the road this season. The Kraken have lost 6 straight and 8 of their last 9 games and they are just 3-6-0 at home. The Caps have won 4 of their last 5 road games while the Kraken have lost their last 4 home games in a row. TJ Oshie and Nic Dowd returned for the Caps last night and Vitek Vanecek will be starting tonight. The Caps know Philip Grubauer well from his time with the Caps and the Caps have already won back-to-back games on the road earlier this season. Take the Caps. |
11-21-21 | Blackhawks v. Canucks UNDER 6 | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 5 h 29 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units These two teams combine to average 4.74 goals per game and the total is 6? I'll take it. Hawks netminder Marc-Andre Fleury has allowed two goals or fewer in three straight. |
11-21-21 | Maple Leafs v. Islanders +105 | 3-0 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 46 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Strange that the Islanders are home dogs considering Toronto isn't starting Vezina candidate Jack Campbell in net but young Joseph Woll. The 23-year-old allowed four goals to Buffalo in his NHL debut on Nov. 13 and the Islanders are better than the Sabres. |
11-21-21 | Wild v. Lightning OVER 6 | 4-5 | Win | 105 | 7 h 50 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Both backup goalies should be starting in Kaapo Kahkonen and Brian Elliott, and both teams should be tired after playing last night. Brian Elliott has a 3.05 GAA and .880 save percentage but the Lightning always tend to play poorly in front of him. The Wild game had 9 goals in total while the Lightning game had 8 goals total yesterday and that was with both teams starting goalies. Take the over. |
11-20-21 | Capitals -115 v. Sharks | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 8 h 54 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Sharks have lost 5 of their last 7 games while the Caps have won 5 of their last 6 games. The Caps were the best team in the league last season on the road and they are 5-1-2 on the road this season. Adin Hill is expected to start for the Sharks and he is 4-4-0 with a 3.11 GAA this season. The Caps have won five of the last 7 games between these teams in San Jose and 5 of the last 6 meetings overall. |
11-20-21 | Blue Jackets v. Golden Knights -138 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 42 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Golden Knights are still missing many key players, but they have still won 7 of their last 10 games and 5 of their last 6 home games. Elvis Merzlikins has looked much worse lately, allowing at least three goals in each of his last three games. Robin Lehner has been much better since the start of the season, and I think the Blue Jackets will have a tough time against the Golden Knights defense. I like the Knights at home. |
11-20-21 | Red Wings v. Coyotes +132 | 1-2 | Win | 132 | 9 h 44 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Coyotes aren’t as bad of a team as their record shows, and they have played each of their last two games close. The Red Wings have been struggling losing four of the last five games and losing three straight road games allowing five goals in every game. Scott Wedgewood has been very good for the Coyotes after picking him up on waivers. The Coyotes have just one home win this season, but the Red Wings are 3-7-0 on the road. Take the home dog. |
11-20-21 | Flames v. Islanders -108 | 5-2 | Loss | -108 | 10 h 55 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Islanders finally get to play in their brand-new arena after 13 straight road games to begin the season. New York has a lot of talent and is well-coached, but its has scored just six goals in its past five games. The Islanders lost 6-1 to the Panthers on Tuesday, and Barry Trotz's teams usually play inspired hockey after allowing six or more goals. This will be the Flames' sixth road game in nine days and New York will be playing with three days of rest. Take the hungry host. |
11-20-21 | Bruins v. Flyers +126 | 5-2 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 40 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Linus Ullmark is starting for the Bruins and he is just 3-3-0 with a 3.01 GAA on the season. Martin Jones is 3-1-0 this season with a 2.27 GAA and .931 save percentage, so he isn’t much of a downgrade from Hart. The Bruins won 6 of 8 games in the shortened season last year but they lost the only matchup between these teams this season. The Flyers are a little banged up without Ryan Ellis or Kevin Hayes, but the Bruins are 2-4-0 on the road. I like the value in the home dog. |
11-20-21 | Predators -117 v. Canadiens | 3-6 | Loss | -117 | 8 h 38 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Predators were shutout in their last game, but they were hitting posts along with getting shutdown by Jack Campbell, who has been very good this season. However, tonight they won’t have as tough of a test against the porous Canadiens. The Predators have won 7 of their last 10 games and Juuse Saros has been very good for them. The Canadiens have lost 7 of their last 8 games and Jake Allen is expected to be out again. Take the Preds on the road. |
11-19-21 | Avalanche v. Seattle Kraken UNDER 6 | 7-3 | Loss | -105 | 13 h 5 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units You know the rule: 6.5 goals means Under. Should have won on Under 6 in the Avs' last game but they scored an empty-netter with 11 seconds left to push. Colorado remains without a handful of key offensive players led by Nathan MacKinnon. The Kraken are really starting to fade offensively, scoring two goals in each of their past two. I see a 4-2 final here in Colorado's first trip to Seattle. |
11-18-21 | Blue Jackets v. Coyotes +138 | 5-4 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 44 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Blue Jackets only score 2.2 goals per game on the road this season, 1.5 goals fewer than their home average. The Coyotes are coming off a big road win in St. Louis so I think some of that momentum should carry over. The Blue Jackets are significantly worse on the road and they have struggled lately. Elvis Merzlikins has looked human in net while the Coyotes goalies are both capable of putting together a good one. I like the value in the Coyotes at home. |
11-18-21 | Jets v. Oilers UNDER 6.5 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 5 h 16 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units I am contractually obligated to go Under when a game gets to 6.5 goals even though the Oilers are starting backup netminder Stuart Skinner. He did blank Winnipeg for about 20 minutes in the Jets' 5-2 win Tuesday after Mikko Koskinen was pulled. That game only went Over 6.5 on an empty-netter with about 90 seconds left. Frankly, I believe that about 90 percent of losses on an Under 6.5 will only come via an empty-netter, but that's a risk I'm willing to take. |
11-18-21 | Stars v. Wild -128 | 2-7 | Win | 100 | 8 h 49 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Wild are 4-2 at home this season and they should bounce back after playing a dud in their first home game back from a road trip. Cam Talbot will be in net and he is 8-4-0 with a 2.91 GAA on the season. The Stars are just 3-4-1 on the road this season and they have been rotating goalies after Braden Holtby was injured. The Wild have won three straight games in this series and 6 of the last 8 home games. |
11-18-21 | Sharks v. Blues UNDER 6 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 6 h 31 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Blues have scored three goals or fewer in five of their past six and face San Jose's James Reimer, whose 1.77 GAA is second in the NHL. Yes, the Blues are starting backup Ville Husso, but he threw a shutout in his lone start this year. The Sharks have scored three or fewer in four of their past six. |
11-18-21 | Penguins v. Canadiens +136 | 6-0 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 46 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Penguins have now lost three straight games and they are 5-6-4 on the season with just 1 win in 5 tries on the road. They face the Canadiens, who have also been struggling, but they are much better at home going 3-5-1. Cayden Primeau looked good in his first game of the season against the Rangers despite picking up the loss. I like the value in the Canadiens at home. |

11-17-21 | Capitals v. Kings -105 | 2-0 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 28 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Second of a back-to-back for the Caps, who are without five of their top forwards due to injury -- Lars Eller was the latest to join them as out before Tuesday's OT loss in Anaheim. The Kings get back one of their top scorers Wednesday in Viktor Arvidsson. He had missed the past seven games in COVID protocols and has two goals, five points and 32 shots in eight appearances. Kings netminder Jonathan Quick has a 1.98 GAA this year. LA is on a four-game home win streak. |

11-17-21 | Blackhawks +135 v. Seattle Kraken | 4-2 | Win | 135 | 3 h 45 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Hawks have won three straight games with their new head coach, but they are still winless on the road. They take on the Kraken who have lost four straight games and 7 of the last 10. The Kraken are just 3-4-0 at home and the Hawks won’t go winless on the road all season. There aren’t many good options tonight with just three games and I think this game is closer to a toss-up, so I like the value in the Hawks to get their first road win. |

11-16-21 | Hurricanes -130 v. Golden Knights | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 36 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Golden Knights already are emaciated at forward due to injury/COVID and now they just lost another one in Jonathan Marchessault. He has nine goals and four assists in 15 games this season. Hard to see the short-handed Knights beating the excellent Hurricanes and Frederik Andersen (1.77 GAA). |

11-16-21 | Capitals v. Ducks UNDER 6 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 5 h 2 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units Some books have this at 5.5 goals so let's grab 6 while Caesars has that available. Anaheim has been shockingly good offensively thus far, but I don't buy that continues. John Gibson, meanwhile, has been great in net overall and especially at home with a 5-1 record and 1.51 GAA. The Caps' Vitek Vanecek has a 2.34 GAA on the year. Washington already is down a few key offensive guys and now Lars Eller (eight points) is iffy. The Under is 4-1 in Ducks' last five games as a home underdog. |

11-16-21 | Sharks v. Wild -176 | 4-1 | Loss | -176 | 10 h 11 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units The Wild return home off a successful three-game road trip to open a brief two-game homestand against the reeling Sharks on Tuesday night. I like their chances of extending their home dominance. Note that the Wild check in 19-7 in their last 26 games following consecutive road contests, outscoring the opposition by 1.1 goals on average in that spot. On the flip side, the Sharks are a miserable 12-34 in their last 46 contests following consecutive road tilts over the last two-plus seasons, outscored by a wide margin of 1.4 goals on average in that situation. |

11-16-21 | Oilers v. Jets UNDER 6.5 | 2-5 | Loss | -120 | 7 h 34 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units A rare total of 6.5 in the NHL! I honestly don't care who is playing, I'll always take Under this. Edmonton can be awesome offensively at times but also has scored two goals in two of its past four. Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck has a 1.96 GAA at home this year. This, my friends, is a no-brainer. The only way I see losing this is a 3-3 tie at the end of regulation but we probably will not see a total of 7 in the entire regular season. The Under is 4-0-1 in Winnipeg's past five at home. |

11-16-21 | Canadiens v. Rangers -180 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 33 m | Show
Rating: 2 Units I expect this ML to only rise today -- Montreal has been obliterated by injury and probably will have to start third-string goaltender Sam Montembeault again, and he has struggled. The Rangers enter on a three-game winning streak and have the much better goalie in Igor Shesterkin. The Canadiens are 1-10 in their past 11 on the road. |
