12/30 08:00 PM EST CF (265) FLORIDA STATE VS (266) MICHIGAN. Take: CFB Oddsmaker Error Game of the Month, (265) FLORIDA STATE Reason: Michigan only played 4 games away from home this season and went 2-2, even losing at Iowa as huge favorite. The Wolverines seemed poised to make their first appearance in the CFP until they dropped two of their last three games down the stretch, including a 30-27 double-overtime loss to No. 2 Ohio State. Florida State's defense led the nation with 47 sacks. DeMarcus Walker led the country with 15 sacks and anchors a talented Seminoles' defensive front that has the potential to wreak havoc on the Wolverines' offensive line, which struggled in the last three games of the season. The key matchup is the Kansas State rushing attack against the Texas A&M run defense. The Wildcats ran for nearly 2,800 yards and 36 touchdowns as a team with each of their top five runners averaging at least five yards per carry. Quarterback Jesse Ertz (945 yards) should see plenty of action on the ground against an Aggies squad that allowed at least 250 rushing yards in four of their final five games against Power 5 conference teams. 12/28 07:35 PM EST NBA (705) MILWAUKEE BUCKS VS (706) DETROIT PISTONS. Take: (705) MILWAUKEE BUCKS Reason: The Pistons have the best scoring defense in the Eastern Conference, but a lack of offensive power has the club at just 15-18 on the season and losers of seven of the last 10 games. Point guard Reggie Jackson has returned to the lineup, but that hasn't seemed to provide any spark to the club. The Pistons are coming off a win over Cleveland, however the Cavs sat most of their stars for that contest. The Bucks can get back to the .500 mark with a win tonight. The Bucks have lots of young talent, starting with forward Giannis Antetokounmpo who is leading the team ins scoring, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. Milwaukee has done well in this series, covering eight of the last 11 meetings and seven of the last 10 in Detroit. The Pistons struggle too much on offense to lay four points to a young Bucks club that I can see winning outright here tonight. Take Milwaukee.

Paul George leads the club in scoring (21.4 ppg) and Jeff Teague in assists (7.2). Meanwhile, the Wizards are just behind the Pacers in the standings with a 14-16 record. The strength of this club is their excellent backcourt duo of Bradley Beal and John Wall. What this team really needs is a third player to contribute more. The dog has really had its way in this series, covering 19 of the last 27. In addition, the road team is 20-6 the last 26 meetings and Indiana is 7-0 ATS the last seven meetings in Washington. These are very well matched clubs and I expect a close game. I'll take the points with Indiana which could win this one outright.

The win snapped a 1-6 road trip. Still, the Lakers are just 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 home games and 4-10 ATS their last 14 overall. The Jazz still have the league's best scoring defense (95.2 ppg). Injuries have plagued the Jazz this year. The Jazz are 5-2 ATS in their last seven meetings with the Lakers and 4-1 ATS in their last five in LA. Wide receivers Thomas Sperbeck (72 catches, 1,193 yards, nine touchdowns) and with Cedrick Wilson (50, 1,041, 10) lead an offense that averaged 35.6 points and 479.8 yards per game. The Broncos are 18-8 ATS on natural grass, 6-2 ATS in their last 8 Bowl games. Baylor has been erratic under Jim Grobe. Grobe took over on an interim basis when Art Briles was fired on May 26 amid the school's sexual assault scandal and led the team to a 6-0 start, but the Bears, who hired Temple's Matt Rhule to become permanent head coach last week, limp into the contest with a six-game losing streak. Isaiah Thomas leads the club in points (27 ppg) and assists (6.2). Thomas has scored at least 20 points in 15 straight games. Al Horford has also been a big addition to the club and a reason why they are in third. The Grizzlies are also having a good season with a 20-13 record. Russell Westbrook leads the team in scoring with 31.7 ppg. The Thunder are the 9th highest scoring team in the NBA with a 107.0 ppg average. The Thunder won on Christmas day over the T'Wolves, with Westbrook chipping-in 31-points and 15 assists. The Heat really don't have a lot of scoring options on this team other than Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside. The Heat are just 5-11 at home this season, though they have covered six of their last eight overall. The Lions come into tonight's contest off that 17-6 loss to the NY Giants. For the Lions it's WIN and they are IN! The Lions have to win either tonight against the best team in the NFL or next week vs the hottest team in the NFL in the Packers. The Lions defense will have the task of keeping the Cowboys offense in check, not an easy task at that. The Cowboys have been regarded has having the best offensive line in football. As for the Cowboys, they have locked up home field throughout the playoffs, no matter what happens tonight. Jerry Jones has said he will not let the starters sit since he doesn't want rust to set in. However, how long the starters remain in the lineup is a question. When you consider that two NFL starting quarterbacks went down this weekend (Mariota and Carr), Dallas has everything to lose tonight. Who knows, maybe Tony Romo might even see action tonight. Excellent matchup here in the Diamond Heat Classic final round as 10-2 San Francisco takes on 7-4 San Diego State. This will be the final contest for San Francisco before they start West Coast Conference play on the 29th. Meanwhile, San Diego State isn't quite as good as previous editions of this team. The Aztecs have won three straight games after losing three. Most shockingly, was the Aztecs loss to Grand Canyon State, 76-72 and Chicago Illinois, 65-59. Long time Head Coach Steve Fisher has only won a single tournament in his career and that was the Rainbow Classic back in 1992 with Michigan. I think this five point line is too high for the Aztecs, which have struggled this year against far inferior teams. I'm taking the points with San Francisco here.

12/10 3:00 PM EST CF (103) ARMY VS (104) NAVY. Take: (103) ARMY. Reason: Navy is badly banged up, so without key injured players, including senior quarterback Will Worth and senior running back Toneo Gulley as they suffered season-ending foot injuries in the 34-10 loss to Temple for the AAC title Dec. 3. The Black Knights have three weeks to prepare for the Midshipmen after rushing for 504 yards in a 60-3 victory over FCS member Morgan State on Nov. 19 and boast the No. 2 ground attack in the nation at 328.9 yards per game. Navy is also banged up on defense as three starters - cornerback Elijah Merchant (concussion), outside linebacker Josiah Powell (leg) and inside linebacker Hudson Sullivan (knee) - are questionable to play Saturday. The Midshipmen are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings. Play (103) ARMY.
