10-18-15 | New England Patriots v. Indianapolis Colts +10 | Top | 34-27 | Win | 100 | 33 h 48 m | Show |
New England at Indianapolis 8:30 ET Colts (+) over Patriots- I know the history between these two has not be good to Indianapolis as New England is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 meetings in Indianapolis. With the return of Andrew Luck the Colts can return to old form as they are 21-8-1 in their last 30 home games and when looked upon the underdog is 14-6-2 in the last 22 meetings. Former Colts' running back Ahmad Bradshaw has been added to the rooster and will help spell Frank Gore. Take the COLTS! |
10-18-15 | Denver Broncos v. Cleveland Browns +5 | Top | 26-23 | Win | 100 | 26 h 37 m | Show |
Denver at Cleveland 1:00 ET Browns (+) over Broncos- The Broncos are a perfect 5-0 while managing to score less then two touchdowns per contest as their defense has taken over during Peyton Manning's recession. They lead the league with 22 sacks, 14 turnovers and fewest yards allowed (278) per game while Manning has only six TD passes to go with his seven interceptions. Cleveland has found a passing game of their own as Josh McCown threw for a club-record 457 yards in last weeks 33-30 win over Baltimore. The Browns are actually outscoring the Broncos and have a renewed confidence. Take CLEVELAND! |
10-18-15 | Cincinnati Bengals v. Buffalo Bills +3.5 | Top | 34-21 | Loss | -115 | 26 h 32 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Buffalo 1:00 ET Bills (+) over Bengals- The Bengals are walking in the clouds after their 17-point fourth quarter comeback win over the Seahawks and are bouncing into Buffalo where the Bills are really not sure who will under center. We know Andy Dalton will start for Cincinnati and he has had three consecutive 300-yard passing games but he will find the going t bit tougher against the Bills defense. Buffalo is 10-2 straight-up and ATS in the last 12 meetings in this series and the Bills are 5-0 ATS at home against the AFC North. Take BUFFALO! |
10-17-15 | USC +7 v. Notre Dame | Top | 31-41 | Loss | -120 | 29 h 43 m | Show |
Southern California at Notre Dame 7:30 ET Trojans (+) over Fighting Irish- I understand that the Irish faithful have sent case of Bourbon is the USC coaching staff which is cool because they will have reason to celebrate Saturday night after their outright victory. Cuddy Sark was given his walking papers as he should have been seven weeks ago after his drunkin' rant during the 'Salute to Troy' night in August. USC is an amazing 13-0 ATS as road dogs after a straight-up loss and the Irish are just 3-10 straight-up in the last 13 meetings and 1-6 ATS as favorites of less then 14 points. Take the TROJANS! |
10-15-15 | Atlanta Falcons v. New Orleans Saints +3.5 | Top | 21-31 | Win | 115 | 32 h 22 m | Show |
Atlanta at New Orleans 8:30 Saints (+) over Falcons- The undefeated Atlanta Falcons (5-0) enter the Super Dome with some gaudy trends on their side of the ledger. First, they are 23-7 ATS in New Orleans in their last 30 trips to the Crescent City and the Saints are just 1-6 ATS both on Thursday's and their last seven at home. The difference here is that this time around the home team will be ab underdog. This is evidenced by the fact that Drew Brees is 7-2 in his last nine home starts against the Falcons. This is a great spot for the home club. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
10-12-15 | Pittsburgh Steelers +4 v. San Diego Chargers | Top | 24-20 | Win | 100 | 10 h 21 m | Show |
Pittsburgh at San Diego 8:30 ET Steelers (+) over Chargers- A contrast of quarterbacking style could not be more evident then what we will witness tonight in San Diego. The Chargers will have your classic 'pocket' passer in Phillip Rivers who leads the league in just four games with 1,248 yards passing as he threw for 358 yards last week against the Browns. Michael Vick who threw for only 124 yards while replacing Ben Roethlisberger against the Ravens a week ago Thursday should feel more comfortable with Pittsburgh offense as he has had more time (remembering that he signed late during the pre-season) to get a 'feel' for his teammates. This time Pittsburgh coming up big. Take the STEELERS! |
10-10-15 | Georgia v. Tennessee +3.5 | Top | 31-38 | Win | 100 | 27 h 1 m | Show |
Georgia at Tennessee 3:30 ET Volunteers (+) over Bulldogs- I refer to this selection as my 'Bang-Bang' theory as the Bulldogs had their dreams destroyed by Alabama last week in Athens and will be despondent while preparing for Tennessee with the realization that they really are not that good. This factor is especially effective with Georgia as Mark Richt is 0-6 ATS in SEC play after a conference loss. Tennessee who is 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings has had two weeks to recover from their loss to Florida where they let a 13-point 4th quarter lead fade away. This time the Volunteers will be ready and close the deal. Take TENNESSEE! |
10-08-15 | Indianapolis Colts v. Houston Texans | Top | 27-20 | Loss | -110 | 28 h 10 m | Show |
Indianapolis at Houston 1:00 ET Texans (+) over Colts- Take about 'Hard Knocks' the Houston Texans haven't hit anyone hard enough to cause a bruise this season. Houston comes home to NGR Stadium 1-3 with their lone victory over lowly Tampa Bay. Indianapolis (2-2) has looked terrible this season with or without Andrew Luck but believe it or not they are on top in the AFC South in what may be the league weakest division in the NFL. Why are the Colts who have won five straight over the Texans and has 15 straight wins against division opponents only a 1-point favorite here. The reason is that Houston is coming to play tonight. Take the TEXANS! |
10-04-15 | Green Bay Packers v. San Francisco 49ers +9 | Top | 17-3 | Loss | -115 | 26 h 45 m | Show |
Green Bay at San Francisco 4:25 ET 49ers (+) over Packers- How bad are the 49ers...don't answer that! They are being out-scored by opponents more then doubled. Green Bay meanwhile is just steamrolling the league with wins over Chicago, Seattle and Kansas City. San Francisco returns home after two horrific games on the road including a 47-7 pasting at Arizona last week. NFL home dogs off losses of 40-points or more are 10-2-1 ATS with six straight up wins. Now, I really don't expect a straight-up win but Green Bay is just 1-4-1 ATS the last six trips to San Francisco and they are 3-8 ATS against teams with a losing record. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
10-04-15 | Carolina Panthers v. Tampa Bay Buccaneers +3.5 | Top | 37-23 | Loss | -115 | 23 h 46 m | Show |
Carolina at Tampa Bay 1:00 ET Buccaneers (+) over Panthers- Wow, does this line look short to me! Here are the 3-0 Panthers entering Tampa Bay where the 1-2 Bucs who are averaging just 16 points per contest with a rookie quarterback are hosts. Tampa has lost four straight in this series and Carolina is 18-8-1 ATS against a team with a losing record. Tampa is just 15-36-1 ATS in their last 52 home games but are 6-0 ATS in their last six games following an ATS loss. The 'number' is just too low and gives the Bucs a chance to win. Take TAMPA BAY! |
10-03-15 | Arizona State +14 v. UCLA | Top | 38-23 | Win | 100 | 33 h 1 m | Show |
Arizona State at UCLA 7:30 ET Sun Devils (+) Bruins- Can Arizona State look any worse then they did by the thrashing at the hands of Southern California 42-14 and are now 0-4 against the points this season. The Devils trailed 35-0 at the half and the Trojans just coasted the entire second half to keep the rout down. Meanwhile, UCLA was destroying Arizona 56-30 in a game that wasn't even that close. The final there might be a little misleading as the Bruins were just a plus 29 yards but turnovers were the difference. The Sun Devils look to avenge their worst loss of the season last year as the Bruins won big 62-27. UCLA is 0-4-1 ATS as home favorites and just 2-8 at home against teams seeking conference revenge. Take ARIZONA STATE! |
09-27-15 | Pittsburgh Steelers v. St Louis Rams +2 | Top | 12-6 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 31 m | Show |
Pittsburgh at St. Louis 1:00 ET Rams (+) over Steelers- Pittsburgh leads the NFL in total offense behind Ben Roethlisberger who has thrown for 720 yards the first two weeks. With the return of Le'Veon Bell one would suspect the Steelers balance would be too much for the Rams. But, St. Louis has shown that they can rise to the occasion at home where they have already beaten the Seahawks. Two trends that point us to the Rams are that they are 5-2 ATS after a straight-up loss and the Steelers are 9-19 ATS in their last 28 games following a win of 14 points or more. Take ST. LOUIS! |
09-27-15 | Atlanta Falcons v. Dallas Cowboys +2 | Top | 39-28 | Loss | -105 | 21 h 59 m | Show |
Atlanta at Dallas 1:00 ET Cowboys (+) over Falcons- Dallas is one of the worst home teams as a favorite in the NFL cover just eight of 33 but because of injuries to key personnel including quarterback Tony Romo the are a rare underdog against the 2-0 Falcons. One would think that with Dez Bryant down Jason Witten could pick up the slack but he is also hobbled and his status is questionable. Atlanta was one of the worst teams in the NFL last season surrendering 280 yards a contest and this year they have been hit for 313.5 yards a game. But, that is not how the Cowboys will win this game, they will rely on their huge offensive line to provide running room for Joseph Randle. Take DALLAS! |
09-26-15 | Texas A&M v. Arkansas +7.5 | Top | 28-21 | Win | 100 | 29 h 46 m | Show |
Texas A&M vs Arkansas 7:00 ET Razorbacks (+) over Aggies- Without a doubt the most disappoint major power this season has been Arkansas who lost to Toledo and Texas Tech after an opening game win over Tx-El-Paso. Texas A&M opened the season as 'our' Best Bet winner over Arizona State and now they will have to bite the bullet as the Razorbacks bounce-back in their first SEC battle. These two when part of the Southwest played often with the Razorbacks leading the series 41-27-3 despite dropping the last three. Arkansas has a banged up receiving corps but will put together a powerful ground game to get it down here. Take the RAZORBACKS! |
09-20-15 | Arizona Cardinals v. Chicago Bears +2.5 | Top | 48-23 | Loss | -110 | 25 h 11 m | Show |
Arizona at Chicago 1:00 ET Bears (+) over Cardinals- The 'Bears' gave it the 'old college try' last week but Clay Mathews took Jay Cutler down not only with tackles but with a crucial interception in crunch time. Arizona managed a 31-19 home win over New Orleans last Sunday but lost running back Andre Ellington to a knee injury. Although Carson Palmer has won seven straight and 14 of his last 16 starts the Bears have won four of the last five meetings. Look for John Fox to post his first win as the Bears head coach. Take CHICAGO! |
09-19-15 | Georgia Tech v. Notre Dame +3 | Top | 22-30 | Win | 100 | 19 h 52 m | Show |
Georgia Tech at Notre Dame 3:30 ET Fighting Irish (+) over Yellow Jackets- The storyline all week have been about the numerous injuries that have beset Notre Dame with their top three running backs now sidelined and their starting quarterback Malik Zaire down for the season along other key personnel including tight end Durham Smythe. Georgia Tech of course still runs the triple-option and has 915 yards on the ground in two games against power-houses Alcorn State and Tulane. (Note that they were favored by a total 74-points in those two home wins. The Irish were fortunate to escape with a win at Virginia as back-up quarterback DeShone Kizer and tossed a TD pass with :12 seconds left to play for the win. Brian Kelly know what it will take here and I expect hime to have his club ready. Take NOTRE DAME! |
09-14-15 | Philadelphia Eagles v. Atlanta Falcons +3 | Top | 24-26 | Win | 100 | 9 h 33 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Atlanta 7:10 ET Falcons (+) over Eagles- The storyline for Philadelphia this season is about all the new faces that Chip Kelly has imported into the Eagles high-flying offense with quarterback Sam Foles, running back LeSean McCoy and receiver Jordan Mathews. Atlanta has a new head coach and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan who will work to create balance on an offense that was sixth worst in the league. Playing at home will help the Falcons here. Take ATLANTA! |
09-13-15 | Cleveland Browns +3.5 v. NY Jets | Top | 10-31 | Loss | -106 | 25 h 41 m | Show |
Cleveland at New York Jets 1:00 ET Browns (+) over Jets- Well, at least the storyline here won't be about Johnny Manziel but the Jets 'new' coaching move with Todd Bowles who started his tenure with a lie regarding Jeno Smith. New York won only four games last year and will be starting Ryan Fitzpatrick who is just 34-56-1 as an NFL starter. Cleveland actually was actually three games better at 7-9 last season and is supposed to have the most improved offensive line in the AFC. Bowles will be exposed here as the Browns get it done. Take CLEVELAND! |
09-12-15 | Notre Dame v. Virginia +13 | Top | 34-27 | Win | 100 | 19 h 7 m | Show |
Notre Dame at Virginia 3:30 ET Cavaliers (+) over Fighting Irish- We will learn a little bit more about Notre Dame because we really can't be sure how good they are after demolishing Texas 38-3 allowing only eight first downs and held the Longhorns to a total of 163 yards. Are the Irish that good or is Texas as bad as they looked. Virginia meanwhile played better against UCLA then to final score (34-16) would indicate in their loss. The Cavaliers under coach Mike London are 5-1 ATS as home dogs and 11-5-1 against the points as double-digit dogs. The Irish will be without last year's top three rushers as Tarean Folson tore his ACL and Greg Bryant is ineligible and Cam McDaniel is off the team. Take VIRGINIA! |
09-07-15 | Ohio State v. Virginia Tech +14.5 | Top | 42-24 | Loss | -105 | 24 h 45 m | Show |
Ohio State at Virginia Tech 8:00 ET Hokies (+) over Buckeyes- So Ohio State is the first unanimous No. 1 selection in BCS history and they are rated 7-points better then every other school on a neutral site. I respect Urban Meyer more then any other College coach and realize that the Buckeyes have strong revenge on their minds as Virginia Tech was the only team to defeat Ohio State last season. The Buckeyes have had four starters suspended for this contest and none will be more painful then All-American defensive end Joey Bosa who will be missed. Frank Beamer teams usually improve dramatic as the season wears on but he has been know to get his troupes ready in early big games. Take VIRGINIA TECH! |
09-05-15 | Arizona State v. Texas A&M -3 | Top | 17-38 | Win | 100 | 24 h 14 m | Show |
Arizona State vs Texas A&M 7:00 ET Aggies (-) over Sun Devils- I'm having some difficulty processing the information surrounding this game as their is a huge move toward No. 16 Arizona State who many believe has a chance to win the PAC-12. Texas A&M is unranked and yet they are a strong favorite at NGR Stadium in Houston home of the NFL Texans. Last season Aggies quarterback Kyle Allen started and won the first five games of the season and then fell upon hard times and was been most of the rest of the season. The Sun Devils return 17 starters from last years 10-3 club that defeated Utah, USC, Stanford and Notre Dame last year will find a challenge here. The crowd response and the '12th man' will be a factor. Take TEXAS A&M! |
09-03-15 | South Carolina v. North Carolina +3 | Top | 17-13 | Loss | -115 | 31 h 15 m | Show |
South Carolina vs North Carolina 6:00 ET Tar Heels (+) over Gamecocks- Both clubs are off disappointing campaigns in 2014 as the Tar Heels had their first losing season since 2007 and the Gamecocks were a meager 7-6. No doubt who the better team has been of late as South has beaten the North five of the last six meetings but the 'Cocks will have many more unknowns this season while the Tar Heels will return just about their entire offense but they must improve on defense where they surrendered 67 touchdowns last season. In a mild upset it is NORTH CAROLINA! |
02-01-15 | Seattle Seahawks v. New England Patriots | Top | 24-28 | Loss | -107 | 31 h 11 m | Show |
New England vs Seattle 6:30 ET Seahawks (+) over Patriots- First the first time in what seems like ages the two top seeds from each conference will face off in the Super Bowl. The defending champion Seattle Seahawks were dead in the water until the Packers just took the final four minutes off and Seattle managed like true champions a come-back for the ages as they up ended Green Bay in overtime. For New England their wasn't much drama as they pounded the Colts 45-7 in a game that could have been played with ping pong balls much less deflated footballs as Indianapolis was afraid to make a tackle. One small factor that I haven't heard much about is that this game will be played on natural grass and the Patriots are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 if a horse can eat it. New England has scored 80 points in their two playoff games and will fine the going a little tougher here as Seattle has surrendered just 39 points in their two wins. Take SEAHAWKS! |
02-01-15 | Seattle Seahawks v. New England Patriots OVER 47 | Top | 24-28 | Win | 100 | 31 h 5 m | Show |
Patriots vs Seahawks 6:30 ET Play Total OVER- One thing about the Super Bowl is there are no tomorrows and both side will be willing to pull out all stops. Each possession is valuable and I don't see any side just looking to establish this or that. Of course Seattle would prefer to run the ball and the Pats to throw it but one thing is for certain both side will be wide open in the second half as time runs out on the season. New England has averaged over 30 points per games and the Seahawks 25 and both will be al out on offense for this one. Take the OVER! |
01-18-15 | Indianapolis Colts v. New England Patriots -6 | Top | 7-45 | Win | 100 | 32 h 19 m | Show |
Indianapolis at New England 6:40 ET Patriots (-) over Colts- I am beginning to get a little tired of the Colts (actually Andrew Luck) kicking my teeth in game after game. Luck just seems to have a way of either coming from behind or just taking control from the onset and beating the number (at least when I'm against him). So why is heavens name am I on the Patriots here? Well, that answer is easy to define and it is two-fold. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are the reasons why. First, Brady is not ready to except the 'changing-of-the-guard' so to speak and Belichick will come up with a some sort of 'new' wrinkle that will confused the Colts at some time. Take NEW ENGLAND! |
01-18-15 | Green Bay Packers v. Seattle Seahawks -7.5 | Top | 22-28 | Loss | -104 | 29 h 46 m | Show |
Green Bay at Seattle 3:05 ET Seahawks (-) over Packers- Aaron Rogers is most likely going to end up this year's NFL MVP but started the season with his worse outing against the Seahawks in Seattle when the Packers opened the season with a 20-point 36-16 loss holding Green Bay to a season low 255 yards on offense. The defending Super Bowl champs have won seven straight and have allowed eight points per game in that span and only one fourth quarter touchdown. Seattle has lead the NFL in both fewest points per game (15.9) and fewest yards in back-to-back seasons and are the first team to do that since the 1985-86 Chicago Bears. The home team is 4-1-2 ATS in the last seven meetings which leaves me with only one side. Take SEATTLE! |
01-12-15 | Ohio State +7 v. Oregon | Top | 42-20 | Win | 100 | 25 h 28 m | Show |
Ohio State vs Oregon 8:30 ET Buckeyes (+) over Ducks- Many had argued that Ohio State didn't belong in the Championship Series and that TCU got robbed but the Buckeyes have proved their worth by ousting No. 1 seed Alabama coming back from a 20-7 deficit to rally for a convincing 42-35 victory. Ohio State enters this contest with 12 straight wins while Oregon has reeled off nine wins of their own (All ATS wins). It is sort of ironic that the Buckeyes face a team that scored 59 points in their win over Florida State as the Buckeyes were off scoring 59 against Wisconsin entering their match with the Tide. The Ducks are playing in their second national championship game losing to Auburn 22-19 in 2010 while Urban Meyer is seeking his third Championship with the other two coming while at Florida. With his top two receivers missing Heisman winner Marcus Mariota is surrounded by talent but not enough to 'cover' here. Take OHIO STATE! |
01-10-15 | Baltimore Ravens v. New England Patriots -7 | Top | 31-35 | Loss | -100 | 42 h 4 m | Show |
Baltimore at New England 4:35 ET Patriots (-) over Ravens-Last week when the whole free world (and half the oppressed world) were betting on the Steelers I posted the Ravens as an NFL A-Play Power Play Best Bet and they dominated in their 30-17 win in Pittsburgh. This week the band-wagon boys are now on Baltimore and will be taught a lesson by Tom Brady and Bill Belichick who has 19 playoff wins one behind Tom Landry who has 20. New England is 15-4 at home during the playoffs but two of those defeats came at the hands of the Ravens and that has even the most loyal Patriots fans on edge. Rest easy Bean-Towners you win big here on Saturday. This game won't even be close...take NEW ENGLAND! |
01-04-15 | Cincinnati Bengals +4 v. Indianapolis Colts | Top | 10-26 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 43 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Indianapolis 1:05 ET Bengals (+) over Colts- The Cincinnati are in the playoffs for the fourth straight season but haven't won a playoff game in 24 years. Indianapolis is in the playoffs for the third straight year since Andrew Luck came on board and led the Colts to an unbelievable come-from-behind victory over Kansas City last year. The Bengals have lost their last seven in Indianapolis and Andy Dalton is 0-3 with only one touchdown and six interceptions in the postseason. The Bengals expect to run the ball effectively with rookie Jeremy Hill and Giovanni Bernard leading the way and plan to keep the ball out of Luck's hands. The Bengals defense led the AFC with 20 interception and that can spell the difference here. Take CINCINNATI! |
01-03-15 | Baltimore Ravens +4 v. Pittsburgh Steelers | Top | 30-17 | Win | 100 | 28 h 54 m | Show |
Baltimore at Pittsburgh 8:15 ET Ravens (+) over Steelers- These hard hitting rivals match-up for the third time this season with each team winning by 20 points on their home field. This is the fourth post-season meetings between these two and the Ravens have yet to win one of those with the latest meeting in January of 2011. Pittsburgh mostly likely will be without Le'Veon Bell who has been involved in 42% of their offensive plays. Although most of the attention this season has been on Ben Roethlisberger 4,952 passing yards the Ravens Joe Flacco set team records for scoring (409 points) and average yards with 365. Still, the way this game sets up I like the Ravens chances. Take BALTIMORE! |
01-02-15 | UCLA -120 v. Kansas State | Top | 40-35 | Win | 100 | 28 h 29 m | Show |
Kansas State vs UCLA 6:45 ET Bruins (+) over Wildcats- This match-up features two of the best offensive talents in the nation, one a quarterback and the other a wide receiver but they play on opposite sides. UCLA has quarterback Brett Hundley who has completed over 70% of his passes with 21 touchdowns and only five interceptions while Tyler Lockett has 93 receptions and 1,351 receiving yards and is an explosive kick returner. Kansas State has not fared well of late in bowl games under Synder going 2-6 straight-up and 1-7 ATS in his last wight post season games add that he is 3-7 ATS in his last 10 against the PAC-12/10. Hundley is off his worst game of the season against Stanford (A-Play winner) and I expect him to bounce -back here. Take UCLA! |
01-01-15 | Wisconsin +7 v. Auburn | Top | 34-31 | Win | 100 | 25 h 17 m | Show |
Ohio State vs Alabama 8:30 ET Crimson Tide (-) over Buckeyes- This one could end up a classic as the two best coaches in college football Nick Saban of Alabama and Urban Meyer of Ohio State face each other in the inaugural College Football Playoff for the first time since their SEC days. At first look at this contest I see a team that won their the Big Ten Conference Championship game 59-0 opening almost a 10-point underdog. Both clubs enter with identical 12-1 record and one would expect a 'line' that seems more competitive. Defense might be the reason as Alabama held their last opponent (Missouri) in the SEC Championship game to 41 yards on 34 carries. Red-Shirt sophomore Cardale Jones was outstanding in his first start in the Big Ten Championship game but facing Alabama is another story. Ohio State scored at least 31 points in 12 of 13 games averaging 45.2 points per game while the Tide allows just 16.6 per contest. Defense wins championship and it will win here. Take ALABAMA! |
12-31-14 | Ole Miss +3.5 v. TCU | Top | 3-42 | Loss | -105 | 20 h 8 m | Show |
Mississippi vs Texas Christian 12:30 ET Rebels (+) over Horned Frogs- Two of the top points spread winners this season face off in the Peach Bowl as TCU (10-2 ATS) faces Mississippi (8-4 ATS) in what could prove to be one of the more interesting contests among clubs that both were ranked in the Top 3 at one time or another this year. The Horned Frogs were ranked No. 3 entering their final game against Iowa State and after winning 55-3 they were rewarded by being dropped to No. 6 and out of the New Year Day picture. The question here is will TCU have the heart to continue after getting screwed royally by the selection committee. Mississippi is No. 1 in scoring defense allowing just 13.8 points per game. Take the REBELS! |
12-30-14 | Notre Dame +9 v. LSU | Top | 31-28 | Win | 100 | 17 h 57 m | Show |
Notre Dame vs LSU 3:00 ET Fighting Irish (+) over Tigers- At one point this season it appeared that a ranked and undefeated 6-0 Notre Dame squad had beaten the No.1 ranked Florida State Seminoles until a flag was thrown to nullify a winning touchdown. After that heartbreaking loss the Irish lost five of their final six games not even looking like they cared. They enter this contest have lost their last four and were blown out by USC in their final game 49-14 and it wasn't even that close as they were out-gained by over 250 yards. They enter this game with five straight point spread losses and six of seven. Still, I expect a solid effort from the Fight Irish here. Take NOTRE DAME! |
12-29-14 | Texas +7 v. Arkansas | Top | 7-31 | Loss | -120 | 35 h 3 m | Show |
Arkansas vs Texas 9:00 ET Longhorns (+) over Razorbacks- It is only fitting that these two 6-6 former Southwest Conference rivals meet in the Houston at the Texas Bowl as neither of them expected to be playing during the bowls season. Arkansas was 4-5 after a loss to Mississippi State while Texas was 3-5 before winning three straight to become bowl eligible. Both clubs have excellent defenses and offenses that rely on the ground game and this should be a bit of a slugfest as this will an example of power football. With the Longhorns having a slight home crowd advantage I'll take the points. Take TEXAS! |
12-28-14 | Cincinnati Bengals +3.5 v. Pittsburgh Steelers | Top | 17-27 | Loss | -110 | 31 h 34 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Pittsburgh 8:30 ET Bengals (+) over Steelers- Three weeks ago the Steelers scored 25 unanswered fourth quarter points at Cincinnati and destroyed the Bengals 42-21. Pittsburgh has treated the 'Striped Cats' like a red-headed step child over the years going 20-8-1 ATS in the last 29 meetings and are 5-2 ATS in their last seven in Pittsburgh. The Bengals have established a new found running game with rookie running back Jeremy Hill rushing for 295 yards and three touchdowns the past two weeks. Andy Dalton has thrown for five touchdown passes with no interceptions in his last three games against the Steelers. Take CINCINNATI! |
12-28-14 | San Diego Chargers v. Kansas City Chiefs | Top | 7-19 | Win | 100 | 23 h 13 m | Show |
San Diego at Kansas City 1:00 ET Chiefs over Chargers- Yes, I know! Alex Smith is done for at least this game if not for the season and Chase Daniel will get the start for Kansas City. Now, I understand that there is nothing better then experience but it must be noted that the Chiefs are a ground orientated team that has zero touchdown passes to their wide receivers on the season. (That's right ZERO) So, just how much of a drop off with the their passing game suffer. San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers is also have health issues as he was held out of practices this week because of a bulging disk in his back. While Chargers running back Ryan Mathews will miss his third straight game Jamaal Charles who is going to the pro bowl needs just 21 yards to get to 1,000 rushing yards on the season. The pressure is all on San Diego because with a win and their in the playoffs. Somehow that usually doesn't workout. Take KANSAS CITY! |

12-27-14 | Nebraska +7 v. USC | Top | 42-45 | Win | 100 | 29 h 41 m | Show |
Nebraska vs USC 8:00 ET Cornhuskers (+) over Trojans- There is one thing that bothers me about this contest and it is that the #22 ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers and a full touchdown underdog to un-ranked Southern Cal. I understand that the Huskers have an interim coach Barney Cotten running the show as they showed Bo Pelini the door while Trojans Head coach Steve Sarkisian is trying to avoid a five-loss campaign. Offense will be the key here as USC averages 35.1 points with quarterback Cody Kessler leading the way with 3,505 yards passing and 36 touchdown passes while Nebraska will counter with running back Ameer Abdullah with 1,523 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns. The Cornhuskers have never beaten USC (0-3-1) but pul out a win here. Take NEBRASKA! |
12-27-14 | Penn State +3 v. Boston College | Top | 31-30 | Win | 100 | 25 h 11 m | Show |
Boston College vs Penn State 4:30 ET Nittany Lions (+) over Eagles- This show be a slugfest as two of the nations' top defenses clash at Yankees Stadium in New York. Penn State has the top-rated rushing defense and second-ranked total defense overall while Boston College has the fourth best run defense and are 12-ranked in total defense. The Nittany Lions are in a bowl for the first time in three years as their post-season ban was lifted while Boston College is looking for their first bowl win since 2007 and they won't get it here. Take PENN STATE! |
12-27-14 | Miami (Fla) -3 v. South Carolina | Top | 21-24 | Loss | -115 | 24 h 15 m | Show |
Miami, FL vs South Carolina 3:30 ET Hurricanes (-) over Gamecocks- A pair of 6-6 middle of the roaders go at it in Shreveport, Louisiana as two of the more disappointing clubs square of where it would seem South Carolina would have the coaching advantage and the Hurricanes and advantage on talent. The Gamecocks defense was exposed this year surrendering over 31 points per contest as they gave up 52, 21, 45, 42, 45 and 35 points in their six losses only allowing less then 21 points twice against 'cupcakes' Furman and South Alabama. The 'Ole ball coach has won his last three bowl appearances but just doesn't have the guns to match Miami's speed. Take the HURRICANES! |
12-23-14 | Navy +3 v. San Diego State | Top | 17-16 | Win | 100 | 30 h 12 m | Show |
Navy vs San Diego State 9:30 ET Midshipman (+) over Aztecs- A pair of 7-5 clubs go at it in San Diego where the Aztecs have a distinct advantage playing at home. This advantage may not be as strong as many believe as the U.S. Navy has there is a huge Naval base in San Diego and their will be plenty of support for the military. This is the Navy's fourth trip to the Poinsettia Bowl since 2005 and lost to the Aztecs 35-14 in 2010. San Diego State lead the Mountain West in scoring defense (20.1) and after watching Colorado State who finished two games ahead of the Aztecs I don't know how much that really means. Look to avenge this beating four years ago look for the Midshipman to sail away with a win. Take NAVY! |
12-20-14 | San Diego Chargers v. San Francisco 49ers -113 | Top | 38-35 | Loss | -113 | 46 h 58 m | Show |
San Diego at San Francisco 8:25 ET 49ers over Chargers- Well, as predicted here the Niners are out of the playoffs and about the only question left is where will Jim Harbaugh be coaching next year. The 'Hoax' Colin Kaepernick is averaging 145 yards with one touchdown and four interceptions in his last three games all losses but is witnessing the emergence of rookie running back Carlos Hyde. San Diego's leader Phillip Rivers has stopped crying but has missed two practices this week but insists he will play but leading receiver Keenan Allen is done for the season. The Chargers head coach played scared last week against Denver never trying to put the ball in the end zone from the 'red zone' and this week he's up against a team with nothing to lose. With the 49ers out of the playoffs and no pressure look for their 'fake' quarterback to stand out and win here. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
12-20-14 | Utah v. Colorado State +3.5 | Top | 45-10 | Loss | -115 | 47 h 13 m | Show |
Utah vs Colorado State 3:30 ET Rams (+) over Utes- Two teams that used to play in the same conference meet in Las Vegas in The Royal Purple Bowl as the Colorado State Rams will play as the host team against the PAC-12 Utah Utes. Both teams have high octane offenses as the Utes score 30.2 points and 374.8 yards per contest and the Rams average 36 points and 498 yards per game. Rams head coach Jim McElwain has left to take the Florida job and will be replaced by offensive coordinator Dave Baldwin. Utah has had great success win bowl games and have dominated this series leading 55-22-2 but this is a different era and the Mountain West rep wants to prove their worth. Take COLORADO STATE! |
12-15-14 | New Orleans Saints v. Chicago Bears +3 | Top | 31-15 | Loss | -113 | 25 h 41 m | Show |
New Orleans at Chicago 8:30 ET Bears (+) over Saints- A pair of 5-8 teams that with huge differences in their motivation. The New Orleans Saints currently sit on top of the NFL South while the Chicago Bears with the identical record are sitting in the cellar in the NFC North. These two clubs have the two worst defenses (scoring wise) in the NFC with the Saints ranking 31st among all 32 teams allowing 398.7 yards per game. Chicago who allowed 50 points in back-to-back contests played better in wins against Minnesota and Tampa Bay then allowed 75 points in loses to Detroit and Dallas. Trends for the Saints just don't look good as they are 0-3 on the road on Monday nights against non-division foes and are 1-7 ATS in their last eight as road favorites. Cutler has lost a league high six fumbles but is having a great passing season. Look for the Bears to give New Orleans fits. Take CHICAGO! |
12-14-14 | Denver Broncos v. San Diego Chargers +5 | Top | 22-10 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 39 m | Show |
Denver at San Diego 4:05 ET Chargers (+) over Broncos- The Denver Broncos can clinch the division with a win here and claim their fourth straight title AFC West title while San Diego is scrambling for a wildcard berth. The Chargers were shut out in the second half against New England against the Patriots as they let a 14-3 lead slip away. Phillip Rivers is 30-7 straight-up in December including 6-1 ATS after a straight-up loss. Take SAN DIEGO! |
12-14-14 | Green Bay Packers v. Buffalo Bills +5.5 | Top | 13-21 | Win | 100 | 19 h 48 m | Show |
Green Bay at Buffalo 1:00 ET Bills (+) over Packers- Boy, I really 'hate' going against Aaron Rogers but we were able to collect with the Falcons on Monday night so here we go again. Remember one thing Green Bay is unbeatable at home 7-0 but just another team (3-3) on the road. The Packers enter this game with five straight wins while the Bills have 'covered' their last three contests including a 'back-door' points spread win last week at Denver. Both teams create turnovers and the Packers lead the NFL at +16 and Buffalo is + 9. The Bills defense leads the NFL in sacks and held the Broncos to a season low yardage last week. Also the home team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and Green Bay has NEVER won or covered in Buffalo (0-5). Take the BILLS! |
12-07-14 | New England Patriots v. San Diego Chargers +4 | Top | 23-14 | Loss | -110 | 27 h 33 m | Show |
New England at San Diego 8:30 ET Chargers (+) over Patriots- The New England Patriots had their seven game win streak stopped in Green Bays (Megabucks Winner) last week and haven't dropped two straight since September 2012. San Diego has now won three straight after having dropped the previous three games and a win here would put them back in the AFC playoff hunt. The Patriots decided to stay the week in SanDiego and not fly back to the East coast and that laid back lifestyle of California will have them off their game. Phillip Rivers is 30-6 straight-up in December. Take SAN DIEGO! |
12-07-14 | Indianapolis Colts v. Cleveland Browns +4 | Top | 25-24 | Win | 100 | 19 h 19 m | Show |
Indianapolis at Cleveland 1:00 ET Browns (+) over Colts- I've had my eye on this contest from the moment I saw the pairing. To start with when ever you 'play' against Andrew Luck you are in for a tough fight. Indianapolis is 9-3 ATS on the season and you have to be ready to play defense. Cleveland as we know have questions at quarterback but there is no questioning their defense and their ability to rally around each other. Look, if Hoyer stalls the Browns have no problem inserting Manziel. I like the spot. Take CLEVELAND! |
12-07-14 | NY Giants v. Tennessee Titans +1 | Top | 36-7 | Loss | -100 | 19 h 11 m | Show |
New York Giants at Tennessee 1:00 ET Titans over Giants- How 'bout those Giants!' Last week 'we' used Jacksonville as a Best Bet and we were rewarded with the outright victory. So, why not again, the Giants have no heart or defense and their quarterback is willing to throw it anywhere. Combined these two clubs have lost 13 straight with seven for the Titans and six for New York and the Titans won the last five meetings but nothing has been played since 2010. The Giants have decided to play just the first half of games and then take the second half off so even if New York grabs an early lead do not panic. Tennessee may be short-handed but they do have the heart to post a win. Take TENNESSEE! |
12-06-14 | Wisconsin v. Ohio State +4.5 | Top | 0-59 | Win | 100 | 28 h 35 m | Show |
Wisconsin vs Ohio State 8:15 ET Indianapolis, IN Buckeyes (+) over Badgers- You will have to admit, if he pulls this off Urban Meyer should be in any conversion about the 'the best' out there. After fighting their way through the season with their second string quarterback then lose him in their final game before this champion battle is a lot to ask. Wisconsin won the Big Ten title in 2011-and '12 while Ohio State lost last year to Michigan State. This confrontation most likely end up being a battle of 'wills' and power football. Gordon give the Badgers a great weapon but Ohio State will counter. Take BUCKEYES! |
12-06-14 | Florida State -4 v. Georgia Tech | Top | 37-35 | Loss | -102 | 27 h 22 m | Show |
Florida State vs Georgia Tech 8:00 ET Charlotte, NC Seminoles (-) over Yellow Jackets- I'm getting excited just thinking about! This is the blow-out and domination that we have all been waiting for out of Florida State. I mean they are the defending Nation Champions and haven't lost a game yet (26 straight I believe) and the aren't No.1 and they aren't even No.2 but no one has beaten them yet. I just don't believe that a one dimensional team like Georgia Tech can defeat this high scoring machine. Even though they are 12-0 many aren't pleased wit their 3-9 ATS record for the season and while the Yellow Jackets can brag about beating down Georgia and going 8-4 ATS for the season they have met their match tonight. Take FLORIDA STATE! |
12-04-14 | Dallas Cowboys v. Chicago Bears +4 | Top | 41-28 | Loss | -115 | 28 h 1 m | Show |
Dallas at Chicago 8:30 ET Bears (+) over Cowboys- Five weeks ago the Cowboys were the toast of the town on top of their division and now they are in a fight for their playoff lives. Dallas is off their Thanksgiving debacle a 33-10 loss to the Eagles and I think that have have had reality hit them in the face and they realize that they 'aren't that good.' They are lucky to play the Giants twice and haven't been too successful on Thursday nights going 0-4 ATS last four outings. Chicago has won three straight in the series and Ican see it happening again tonight. Take the BEARS! |
12-01-14 | Miami Dolphins v. NY Jets +7 | Top | 16-13 | Win | 105 | 10 h 25 m | Show |
Miami at New York Jets 8:30 ET Jets (+) over Dolphins- Have you ever seen an NFL team look worse then the New York Jets last Monday night in Detroit. You remember the 38-3 beat down by the Buffalo Bills in the game that was moved because of the snow in upstate New York. This is the first meeting between the two AFC rivals this season as they meet again in Miami in two weeks. Both clubs are off losses with the Dolphins blowing a late lead and of course the Jets never showing up in Detroit. It has been an embarrassing year for the Jets and major changes are expected to be made in the off-season, but if there is any professionalism at all left within that franchise the players will respond with a huge effort. Miami is 0-5 ATS in their last five Monday night appearances while New York has lost nine of 10 with only two 'covers.' But, tonight it's J-E-T-S. |
11-30-14 | Denver Broncos v. Kansas City Chiefs +1.5 | Top | 29-16 | Loss | -105 | 30 h 7 m | Show |
Denver at Kansas City 8:30 ET Chiefs (+) over Broncos- A great Sunday night match-up to finish the Thanksgiving weekend as the division leading Denver Broncos visit Kansas City. Denver has had their way in this series of late going 4-1 ATS in their last five trips to KC and have won the last five meetings straight-up. But, things are not all that gloomy for the Chiefs even though they will be playing with heavy hearts and figure to rally around safety Eric Berry the underdog is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings. Chiefs are off their outright loss (as predicted) the Raiders and will turn their entire focus on the Broncos and Peyton Manning. In an emotional effort the Chiefs win here. Take KANSAS CITY! |
11-30-14 | Arizona Cardinals v. Atlanta Falcons +1.5 | Top | 18-29 | Win | 100 | 26 h 50 m | Show |
Arizona at Atlanta 4:05 ET Falcons (+) over Cardinals- I've stated all along how much I like this Arizona squad even with Carson Palmer down but I think that they are in a bad spot here. The 4-7 division leading Atlanta Falcons can cause plenty of damage to the Cardinals hopes with a critical home win here. Arizona (9-2) still holds a 1½ game lead in the division and will face an offense that averages almost 24 points per contest. The Cards posted a 27-13 win over the Falcons last season and this Atlanta defense is last in yardage allowing 410 per game. But, somehow the Falcons will get it done. Take ATLANTA! |
11-30-14 | NY Giants v. Jacksonville Jaguars +3 | Top | 24-25 | Win | 105 | 23 h 54 m | Show |
New York Giants at Jacksonville 1:00 ET Jaguars (+) over Giants- the question here is which of these two clubs is in better shape mentally, psychologically and physically. The Jacksonville Jaguars have one win this season with a rookie quarterback that is making huge strides while earning his stripes. The Giants meanwhile are using a quarterback that has regressed in the last two seasons and really isn't performing to his expected level. The fact that the odds-makers opened New York as less then a 3-point favorite tells you where they think the Giants are mentally. They know they really aren't very good and played and lost their biggest game of the season against Dallas last week and then entire team is dishearten by the loss. The Giants got the money but have now lost six straight and could care less then to be inJacksonville. Jaguars pounce on dis-spirited New York. Take JACKSONVILLE! |
11-29-14 | Mississippi State v. Ole Miss +3 | Top | 17-31 | Win | 100 | 21 h 53 m | Show |
Mississippi State at Mississippi 3:30 ET Rebels (+) over Bulldogs- This is the biggest game if the Egg Bowl history as both teams enter this contest ranked for the first time since 1999 with the significance never being more important to then to Mississippi State. The Bulldogs can qualify for the FBS Playoffs with an impressive win while Ole Miss has dropped three straight SEC games after climbing to the #3 spot in the polls. The Rebels lead the nation in scoring defense allowing only 13.5 points per game and have allowed an NCAA low 16 touchdowns. Trends favor Mississippi as they are 5-1-1 in the last seven meetings and the home team is 5-1 in the last six meetings. Take MISSISSIPPI REBELS! |
11-28-14 | Stanford +6 v. UCLA | Top | 31-10 | Win | 100 | 19 h 15 m | Show |
Stanford at UCLA 3:30 ET Cardinal (+) over Bruins- Last week we had UCLA a huge 38-20 winner over USC while Stanford was pounding California 38-17 after two straight losses to Oregon and Utah. UCLA can reach the PAC-12 Championship game with a win here but has lost the last six meetings including last year's 24-10 victory. Brett Hundley has come-on after a slow start strong with 20 TD passes with only five interceptions but has struggled in th past against Stanford. The Cardinal are 5-1 ATS in the last six as visitors in this series with the only problem here is that have very little incentive. Still...it's STANFORD! |
11-27-14 | Seattle Seahawks v. San Francisco 49ers | Top | 19-3 | Loss | -110 | 31 h 9 m | Show |
Seattle at San Francisco 8:30 ET 49ers over Seahawks- At 7-4 both clubs have their backs against the wall as far as qualifying for the NFC playoffs because a sub-.500 team from NFC South Division as both Atlanta and New Orleans are 4-7 but one will get into the playoffs. There are some strange 'numbers' surrounding this contest as Seattle is 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings but have not won in San Francisco since October 2008. add that the favored is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings but who knows who will be favored by kickoff? While the Seahawks have won four of their last five the 49ers have now won three straight be it by a margin of 12 points. Seattle is just 2-3 away from home and the Niners defense will rise here. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
11-27-14 | TCU v. Texas +7 | Top | 48-10 | Loss | -110 | 32 h 56 m | Show |
Texas Christian at Texas 7:30 ET Longhorns (+) over Horned Frogs- Both these teams are bowl bound but for TCU it this game has much more significance as they are positioned to move into the College Football Playoffs and for Texas it is to improve their bowl game and state pride. The Frogs have won five straight while the Horns have won their last three. TCU's offense averages almost twice as many points (46-24) as Texas but their defenses are show Texas with a slight edge (21-23). Both clubs show a profit this season as TCU is 8-2 ATS and Texas is 7-4 ATS. Longhorns show improvement later in the year as they are 4-0 ATS in theIr last four November games. Take LONGHORNS! |
11-23-14 | Dallas Cowboys v. NY Giants +4 | Top | 31-28 | Win | 100 | 26 h 2 m | Show |
Dallas at New York Giants 8:30 ET Giants (+) over Cowboys- Oh now I get it. The Giants were just waiting for the Cowboys to come to town before they started playing football. Dallas was expected to finish late in the division and come into this contest 7-3 while New York is 3-7. The Giants have lost five in-a-row both straight-up and ATS but have lost to Dallas three of the last four games in New York. Eli Manning who threw five interceptions last week has nine touchdown passes and only three interceptions in the last three meetings. The Giants who are dead last against the run will come up big against the leagues leading rusher in DeMarco Murray. Take NEW YORK! |
11-23-14 | Washington Redskins +10 v. San Francisco 49ers | Top | 13-17 | Win | 100 | 22 h 59 m | Show |
Washington at San Francisco 4:25 ET Redskins (+) over the 49ers- Man-oh-man what are the Foreskins going to do. They have a quarterback who is loved by the owner and hated by everyone else in the organization from the coaches, players down to the ball boys. San Francisco after winning in New Orleans were very lucky to escape with a win out of New York as Eli Manning threw five interceptions, three of which were in the 'red zone.' Although the Favorite is 4-0-2 ATSin the last six meetings the road team is 3-1-2 ATS. Things are so bad in Washington (Not just the White House) that I 'must' have them. Take the REDSKINS! |
11-23-14 | Detroit Lions +8 v. New England Patriots | Top | 9-34 | Loss | -130 | 19 h 47 m | Show |
Detroit at New England 1:00 ET Lions (+) over Patriots- Gee, was it just six weeks ago when all the experts had written off New England and thought Tom Brady was finished and since then they have only gone 6-0. Now, after last week's performance by Jonas Gray the Patriots have reacquired running back LaGarrette Blount who was their leading ground gainer last season. Detroit on the other hand may have Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson but couldn't muster a touchdown against the Cardinals last week but bring in a stellar defense. Still the Lions are tied at the top of their division with Green Bay and will come to play Sunday. Take DETROIT! |
11-23-14 | Green Bay Packers v. Minnesota Vikings +9 | Top | 24-21 | Win | 100 | 19 h 41 m | Show |
Green Bay at Minnesota 1:00 ET Vikings (+) over Packers- Well, The Packers have scored more then 50 points the past two games after crushing the Eagles 53-20 last week. Their will be a measurable difference between last week and this week as the Vikings actually tackle people. Minnesota has struggled with running backs as we are all aware Adrian Peterson is gone for the season and Matt Asiata and Jerick McKinnon are ailing, so they signed Ben Tate this week and he should see some action. Green Bay has dominated the series of late going 8-1-1 straight-up in the last 10 meetings but the home team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings. Minnesota is also 4-0 ATS in their last four home games against teams with a winning record. Take the VIKINGS! |
11-22-14 | USC v. UCLA -3.5 | Top | 20-38 | Win | 100 | 27 h 0 m | Show |
USC at UCLA 8:00 ET Bruins (+) over Trojans- Okay, the crosstown battle of Los Angeles is ready to take place with both clubs off mildly disappointing seasons with the Trojans losing to Boston College and UCLA getting pounded in back-to-back losses to Utah and Oregon (At least they were ranked teams). The Bruins are off a bye week and they are 4-0 ATS with rest while USC is 1-4 ATS in their last five meetings at the Rose Bowl. The Bruins offense has matured during the season and have allowed just eight sacks in the last five games. Look for coaching to help UCLA...take the BRUINS! |
11-22-14 | Missouri v. Tennessee -3 | Top | 29-21 | Loss | -125 | 27 h 37 m | Show |
Missouri at Tennessee 7:30 ET Volunteers (-) over Tigers- This one is strange to look at when to see the records and numbers of thee respective opponents. No. 20 ranked Missouri (8-2) enters Neyland Stadium in Knoxville more then a field goal underdog according to the Vegas experts. The Tigers are undefeated 4-0 on the road and have nine straight away from home. So, how is this non-ranked team favored especially when we see that two starters for Tennessee have been suspended for rape charges. Something stinks...take VOLUNTEERS! |
11-22-14 | Wisconsin v. Iowa +10.5 | Top | 26-24 | Win | 100 | 23 h 39 m | Show |
Wisconsin at Iowa 3:30 ET Hawkeyes (+) over Badgers- The Wisconsin Badgers are coming off one of the great running games in NCAA history as Melvin Gordon account for 408 yards on 25 carries (16 less the Tomlinson when his set the rushing record 15 years ago) as they routed Nebraska 59-24 last week. Iowa is off a 30-14 win over Illinois after losing to Minnesota 51-14 the week before. Even tho the Badgers have won the last two in the series but are 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings. The Hawkeyes are 3-0-1 ATS in home games against teams with a winning road record. Take IOWA! |
11-21-14 | Air Force v. San Diego State -5.5 | Top | 14-30 | Win | 100 | 7 h 10 m | Show |
Air Force at San Diego State 9:30 ET Aztecs (-) over Falcons- I like this spot as a 'play against' the Air Force as they are 8-2 straight-up and have not been all that impressive. The Falcons return home to host Division leading Colorado State. True the 'fly boys' have won four straight with three straight covers but even in their win last week they were out-played and out gained by Nevada a game they won 45-38. This week it catches up with them Take SAN DIEGO STATE! |
11-16-14 | New England Patriots v. Indianapolis Colts -3 | Top | 42-20 | Loss | -100 | 27 h 56 m | Show |
New England at Indianapolis 8:30 ET Colts (+) over Patriots- After starting the first eight weeks with Sunday Night winners I broke a wheel the past two weeks but am over-joyed with this weeks match-up. Two of the AFC's best hook-up in Indianapolis where the Colts with Andrew Luck host Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. It's difficult to saying anything negative about either club and the last time they met was in the AFC Playoffs in New England where the Pats won 43-22. Luck has the Patriots it in doors this time and they have revenge on their minds. Take the COLTS! |
11-16-14 | Philadelphia Eagles +6 v. Green Bay Packers | Top | 20-53 | Loss | -105 | 23 h 33 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Green Bay 4:25 ET Eagles (+) over Packers- I mean really who do you want leading your team in 'pressure' games, Marc Sanchez or Arron Rogers? No need to answer. Except, have you seen this 'not with the Jets or Rex Ryan' version of Marc Sanchez...he looks totally different. Very confident, poised and not afraid to make a play. This 'line' has become inflated with the public expecting the least out of Sanchez and the most from Rogers. Kelly, will have Philly ready. FLY EAGLES FLY! |
11-16-14 | San Francisco 49ers v. NY Giants +4.5 | Top | 16-10 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 15 m | Show |
San Francisco at New York Giants 1:00 ET Giants (+) over 49ers- I moment I saw this match-up I was 'in love' with the Giants, seeing them as I saw the Jets last week against Pittsburgh. Here are the Niners fresh off a division win over the Saints in New Orleans winning in dramatic fashion in overtime while the Giants were getting spanked in Seattle by the Seahawks. Somehow New York seems to manage a great effort against San Francisco going 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings. After surrendering over 350 yards rushing last week you would think the 49ers would have their way with the Giants porous defense. Nope...Take NEW YORK! |
11-15-14 | Florida State v. Miami (Fla) +3 | Top | 30-26 | Loss | -105 | 28 h 57 m | Show |
Florida State at Miami, FL 8:00 ET Hurricanes (+) over Seminoles- Really now...honestly. This 'number' smells! The Seminoles unbeaten in their last 26 contests come up less then a field goal favorite against a mediocre Hurricanes club that has had major problems at quarterback. The storyline entering this contest will surround Jameis Winston but when the game is over the talk might just be about Junior 'Duke' Johnson the Miami All-American. Florida State has won four straight meetings and seven of the last nine encounters. The 'Canes have played well at home going 4-0 ATS in their last four games as hosts. Take MIAMI-FL! |
11-15-14 | Michigan State v. Maryland +12 | Top | 37-15 | Loss | -105 | 28 h 50 m | Show |
Michigan State at Maryland 8:00 ET Terrapins (+) over Spartans- Football is a game of emotion and the Spartans will be void of any fight this Saturday night. They come off their national TV beat down by Ohio State (49-37) and that their second loss has changed their out-look completely. Now, out of the Top-10 their chances for a New Years bid is slight. Maryland has been blown out twice in Big-10 play surrendering 52 points to both Ohio State and Wisconsin but have had an extra week to prepare. State will just not have their heads in the right place. Take MARYLAND! |
11-09-14 | San Francisco 49ers +6 v. New Orleans Saints | Top | 27-24 | Win | 100 | 16 h 42 m | Show |
San Francisco at New Orleans 1:00 ET 49ers (+) over Saints- Okay, so Jerry finally admits that 'his boy' Colin Kaepernick just doesn't execute very well in the red zone or under pressure (14th ranked passer) and this sure looks like it's a pressure game for the 49ers. At 4-4 San Francisco can see their playoff chance diminish with an outright loss here. The Saints have the NFL's 2nd ranked offense the and are 20-3 straight-up and 19-4 ATS under Payton when playing a team with a winning record. Those are so powerful numbers to buck and I will. Defense and running game will be the difference. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |

11-09-14 | Pittsburgh Steelers v. NY Jets +6 | Top | 13-20 | Win | 100 | 16 h 35 m | Show |
Pittsburgh at New York 1:00 ET Jets (+) over Steelers- Oh my goodness, the turn around by Ben Roethlistbeger and the Pittsburgh Steelers who were written-off by many after their dreadful start. Big Ben as you are all aware has thrown 12 touchdowns in the past two games with six in each. The Jets of course are a complete mess as they have dropped eight straight and are 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10 overall. There are many reasons to stay away from New York except one...they will 'cover.' My friend ML tells me that a 'non-division road favorite off three straight home games favored on the road are 3-18 ATS. Take J-E-T-S! |
11-08-14 | Oregon v. Utah +8.5 | Top | 51-27 | Loss | -110 | 33 h 28 m | Show |
Oregon at Utah 10:00 ET Utes (+) over Ducks- The Oregon Ducks were picked by many to be among the Final-4 championship playoff but must win out after their loss as 21-point favorites at home against Arizona. The bounced back in fine fashion winning and covering their next four games including their double-revenge win over Stanford last week. Utah is off an overtime loss to Arizona State 19-16 as they were badly out-played. This time around the Utes with a sack happy defense will cause problems for the Ducks. Take UTAH! |
11-08-14 | Ohio State +4 v. Michigan State | Top | 49-37 | Win | 100 | 32 h 39 m | Show |
Ohio State at Michigan State 8:00 ET Buckeyes (+) over Spartans- The last time these two met in the Big Ten Championship game Ohio State was undefeated and the Spartans won easily 34-24 as a 6-point underdog. Both clubs enter 7-1 straight-up and both these teams are bullies in the conference as the Buckeyes have won 20 consecutive regular-season Big Ten games and Michigan State has won 13 regular season conference games in-a-row. Ohio State is playing virtually their 'biggest' scheduled contest of the season and are 12-1 with revenge in their last 13. The Spartans had a week off after pummeling lowly Michigan and that really doesn't help as they beat-up one of the Big Ten's weakest opponents. Take OHIO STATE! |
11-08-14 | West Virginia v. Texas +3.5 | Top | 16-33 | Win | 100 | 28 h 33 m | Show |
West Virginia at Texas 3:30 ET Longhorns (+) over Mountaineers- Golly, I love this spot. West Virginia who blew a two-touchdown lead in the fourth quarter to TCU at home last week must try and get it together for a conference road game at Texas. The Longhorns are 4-5 and need wins to become bowl eligible lead the Big-12 in passing defense and look to control the ball on the ground. Mountaineers are suffering from an emotional letdown. And finally as a kicker the Mountaineers are 0-10 ATS as favorites of 3-or-more points since coming into the Big-12. Take TEXAS! |
11-03-14 | Indianapolis Colts v. NY Giants +3.5 | Top | 40-24 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 45 m | Show |
Indianapolis at N. Y. Giants 8:35 ET Giants (+) over Colts- The New York Giants could not be happier to see their bye week arrive off two division losses to the Eagles and Cowboys. Indianapolis who started their season 0-2 and then ripped off five straight wins before running into the Steelers last week getting crushed 51-34. Eli Manning is 2-0 on Monday nights and the Giants will be ready outdoors for the Colts. Two huge trends favor the Giants here, first, New York is 12-4 straight-up after a straight-up loss as a favorite and teams after Pittsburgh are 18-39-1 ATS including 8-28-1 against sub .500 opponents. Take NEW YORK! |
11-02-14 | Baltimore Ravens -123 v. Pittsburgh Steelers | Top | 23-43 | Loss | -123 | 32 h 4 m | Show |
Baltimore at Pittsburgh 8:30 ET Ravens over Steelers- I still don't believe it, I mean I may have had the Steelers as my 'Money Game' winner over the Colts on Sunday and I still think they are frauds. These two met in week two at Baltimore and the Ravens controlled Pittsburgh in a 26-6 rout. Oddly enough the Ravens were 0-3-1 in their previous four meetings and are 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight against AFC and yet they opened the favorite. No question Roerthlisberger is 'hot' but I don't expect him to be able to repeat last weeks incredible performance. Once again it's the RAVENS! |
11-01-14 | Arizona v. UCLA -6.5 | Top | 7-17 | Win | 100 | 32 h 23 m | Show |
Arizona at UCLA 10:30 ET Bruins (-) over Wildcats- This 'number' looks way out of whack to me as No. 15 Arizona invades Los Angeles to play No. 25 UCLA. After the way the 6-1 Wildcats have played on the road defeating both Oregon and Washington State easily its difficult to see why the struggling Bruins are such a strong favorite. UCLA had to go to double-overtime win at Colorado before winning 40-37. When looking close at the trends we see that the favorite is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings with the home team at 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings. Lay it! Take UCLA! |
10-26-14 | Green Bay Packers v. New Orleans Saints -1 | Top | 23-44 | Win | 100 | 31 h 4 m | Show |
Green Bay at New Orleans 8:30 ET Saints over Packers- After week three of action it was Aaron Rogers of the 1-2 Packers that told everybody to 'just relax' and they have since gone on to win four straight games. Well, this time around it is Drew Brees that is saying 'don't panic' about the 2-4 Saints. The fact is that New Orleans who is 0-4 on the road after blowing a 13 point lead with 3:30 remaining at Detroit last week have won their last 10 at home with playing to a 117.9 passer rating. It's their turn again. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
10-26-14 | Indianapolis Colts v. Pittsburgh Steelers +3.5 | Top | 34-51 | Win | 100 | 26 h 16 m | Show |
Indianapolis at Pittsburgh 4:25 ET Steelers (+) over Colts- We had the Pittsburgh Steelers Monday night as the used a 3 and a half minute blitz to humble the Texans. I am wondering if you saw something special in their performance other then that short segment before the first half ended. I sure didn't and in the meantime the Indianapolis Colts were dismantling the Bengals 27-0 in a game that wasn't that close. One thing seems to happen in the NFL that when a team has an easy walk-over game like the Colts win on Sunday they come back to earth their next time out. Remember when the Falcons crushed on a Thursday and then fell to the Vikings on the road the next week. Same here. Take PITTSBURGH! |
10-25-14 | Ohio State v. Penn State +14.5 | Top | 31-24 | Win | 100 | 30 h 41 m | Show |
Ohio State at Penn State 8:00 ET Nittany Lions (+) over Buckeyes- The way the season has unfolded it's hard to believe that the Buckeyes were beaten at home by Virginia Tech especially when we see streaking Ohio State has won four straight and scored 50 or more points in each win. Freshman quarterback J.T Barrett has thrown 17 touchdown passes with only one interception during this hot run. Penn State has had two week to prepare and I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not as they are 0-3 the last three after a week off, but, that was under a different coaching regime. The Lions QB Christian Hackenberg leads the Big Ten in passing with 272 yards per game and will counter the Buckeyes attack. Take PENN STATE! |
10-25-14 | Ole Miss v. LSU +4 | Top | 7-10 | Win | 100 | 29 h 50 m | Show |
Mississippi at Louisiana State 7:15 ET Tigers (+) over Rebels- I expect for there to be plenty of support of LSU as their home field advantage is renowned as they host the No. 3 team in the nation. The Tigers have knocked-off at least one Top-10 opponent at home in each of the last four years. Mississippi has dropped nine of the last 12 meetings but won in Oxford last season 27-24. LSU unlike Mississippi has struggled at the quarterback position as the Tigers have switched between sophomores and freshman while the Rebels have under-rated Bo Wallace. Ole Miss has the top scoring defense allowing only 10.6 points per game. They lead the nation in interception but the Tigers will try and control the ball on the ground and pull of the possible upset. Take LSU! |
10-25-14 | Arizona v. Washington State +3 | Top | 59-37 | Loss | -109 | 28 h 9 m | Show |
Arizona at Washington State 6:00 ET Cougars (+) over Wildcats- Arizona with one PAC-12 conference loss are in the hunt with USC, Arizona State and Utah while still has twice-beaten UCLA in the mix. The Wildcats were pushed 36 yard field goal attempt from being 6-0 and have had their 'bubble-burst' as they fell from the ranks of the undefeated. Rich Rodriquez has made a poor showing on the road going 6-16 ATS on the road after a home game as is 0-6 ATS as a favorite in those contests. The Cougars have quarterback Connor Halliday who set an NCAA record with 734 yards passing against California and led State to a win over Arizona last season. Take WASHINGTON STATE! |
10-25-14 | Mississippi State v. Kentucky +15.5 | Top | 45-31 | Win | 100 | 25 h 44 m | Show |
Mississippi State at Kentucky 3:30 ET Wildcats (+) over Bulldogs- So the Nation's No. 1 team takes to the road as the visit Kentucky after posting three straight win against top-10 teams. Mississippi State has yet to play as No. 1 as they had a bye last week and they have had plenty of time to pat themselves on the back. They are 2-5 ATS off a bye and it will show itself against Saturday. We had LSU last week as they crushed the Wildcats 41-3 and Coach Mark Stoops believes his club will 'bounce back' and cut down their mistakes. State has won the last five meeting in the series but Kentucky is 5-0 at home this season. Take the points with KENTUCKY! |
10-25-14 | Texas +10 v. Kansas State | Top | 0-23 | Loss | -105 | 24 h 13 m | Show |
Texas at Kansas State 12:00 ET Longhorns (+) over Wildcats- Last week I mis-read the K-State/Oklahoma match-up as Wildcats coach Bill Snyder managed to have his club well prepared as they upset the Sooners in Norman. A Pair of dual-threat quarterbacks go at it as State's Jake Waters and the Longhorns Tyrone Swoopes as both are great runners with their passing improving week-by-week. Both clubs have improved defenses as Texas ranks 10th nationally allowing just 4.5 yards per play and the Wildcats are 10th nationally in rushing defense. This time the points are the difference. Take TEXAS! |
10-23-14 | Miami (Fla) v. Virginia Tech +3 | Top | 30-6 | Loss | -108 | 10 h 31 m | Show |
Miami at Virginia Tech 7:30 ET Hokies (+) over Hurricanes- Two sub-par versions of programs that have seen better days as Virginia Tech host the Miami Hurricanes in what was once a 'big matchup.' The Hokies do have one gold star for their upset win over Ohio State while Miami has fallen hard against strong competition and dominated the weaklings. Both clubs are 1-2 in ACC play with Tech holding a 8-3 series edge having won the last three meetings at home by an average of 19 points. The Hokies are expecting the return of top running back Marshawn Williams who will battle it out with Miami's Duke Johnson. Look for Tech to surprise the Canes with enough passes to covert a win. Take VIRGINIA TECH! |
10-19-14 | Arizona Cardinals v. Oakland Raiders +4 | Top | 24-13 | Loss | -110 | 25 h 1 m | Show |
Arizona at Oakland 4:25 ET Raiders (+) over Cardinals- Changes are a-happening in Oakland as the 'Commitment to Excellence' finally gets going with a home win Sunday. Arizona is doing it with mirrors so far as they have been out gained by 77 yards per game and yet they lead the division. The Cardinals have struggled against the AFC West as they are 3-11 both straight-up and against the points. They Raiders are 3-2 straight-up and 4-1 ATS in their last five against Arizona and win here for their 'new' coach. Oakland hasn't started 0-6 since 1962 while the Cardinals haven't been 5-1 since 1976. The beat goes on as Oakland ends an 11-game losing streak. Take RAIDERS! |
10-19-14 | NY Giants +7 v. Dallas Cowboys | Top | 21-31 | Loss | -120 | 25 h 35 m | Show |
New York Giants at Dallas 4:25 ET Giants (+) over Cowboys- How could I have anybody else in this contest. Dallas is coming off an up-set win against the Super Bowl Champs in Seattle while the Giants are off a dreadful performance against the Eagles Sunday Night. This is one of those games that somehow, someway the Giants are supposed to 'cover.' New York behind Eli Manning has had great success in Arlington going 4-1 ATS in their last five. After getting embarrassed 27-0 New York will come to play. Take the GIANTS! |
10-19-14 | Cincinnati Bengals +3.5 v. Indianapolis Colts | Top | 0-27 | Loss | -125 | 22 h 26 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Indianapolis 1:00 ET Bengals (+) over Colts- There will have to be some turn-a-rounds in this contest for the Bengals to be competitive. The Colts behind Andrew Luck have the No.1 offense in the league while Cincinnati has surrendered 80 points and 936 yards the past two weeks. Indianapolis leads in scoring 31.5 points and 444 total offensive. The Colts are 16-10 all-time in this series but the Cats have won the last two with Andy Dalton bringing a 116.4 passer against the Colts. This is a tough one but the Bengals need it more. Take CINCINNATI! |
10-19-14 | Seattle Seahawks v. St. Louis Rams +7 | Top | 26-28 | Win | 100 | 22 h 54 m | Show |
Seattle at St. Louis 1:00 ET Rams (+) over Seahawks- This game must be a winner as I have tried three times unsuccessfully to write this game up and lend a rational as to why we shout take the Rams. So. I'll start with Seattle who with all the defensive departures in the off-season and multiple injuries at the same position have exposed some cracks in their performance. The Seahawks are also having locker room problems as egos clash and they just jettisoned their most explosive player Percy Harvin to the Jets. St. Louis has been competitive with Austin Davis maturing each game at the helm. Take ST. LOUIS! |
10-19-14 | Cleveland Browns v. Jacksonville Jaguars +6 | Top | 6-24 | Win | 100 | 21 h 36 m | Show |
Cleveland at Jacksonville 1:00 ET Jaguars (+) over Browns- Lost in the NFL buzz this week are two things concerning this 0-6 Jaguars who 'covered' for the first time this season (1-5 ATS) last week against Tennessee and the other factor is Blake Bortles throwing for 336 yards changing the entire Jacksonville offense. With Cleveland now favored on the road the dynamics of their approach to this game changes. The Browns have not been this big a road favorite since 1996 and they are ready to stub their toes. This week the Jaguars who hold a 10-5 series advantage win outright here. Take JACKSONVILLE! |
10-18-14 | Stanford v. Arizona State +3.5 | Top | 10-26 | Win | 100 | 32 h 5 m | Show |
Stanford at Arizona State 7:30 ET Sun Devils (+) over Cardinal- Last season these two ranked teams met twice with the Cardinal posting two wins (4 straight in the series) with the later coming in the PAC-12 Championship game. Stanford has the top scoring defense in the country allowing only 10 points per contest and 238 yards per game while the Sun Devils have an explosive offense that averages 41.2 points per game and has 12 plays from scrimmage of 40 or more yards. Stanford has struggled in the red zone going scoreless in nine of 28 trips. At home take ARIZONA STATE! |
10-18-14 | Notre Dame v. Florida State -9 | Top | 27-31 | Loss | -116 | 7 h 35 m | Show |
Notre Dame at Florida State 8:00 ET Seminoles (-) over Fighting Irish- So the Jameis Winston saga continues as two 6-0 undefeated powerhouse meet in Tallahassee where Florida State host Notre Dame. State has a 22-game winning streak and seek their eighth straight win over ranked competition. The Seminoles are just 1-5 ATS this season with the only ticket they cashed against Wake Forest 43-3 as a 37-point favorite. There are some trends that turn tour head as this contest marks the 11th time Notre Dame has been involved is a game which both teams were 6-0 or better and the Irish are 9-0-1 in the previous contests. The Seminoles defense has allowed only 10 touchdowns in 25 red zone possessions and have scored on 28 of 29 red zone trips. Take FLORIDA STATE! |
10-18-14 | Kentucky v. LSU -10 | Top | 3-41 | Win | 100 | 30 h 19 m | Show |
Kentucky at LSU 7:30 ET Tigers (-) over Wildcats- The LSU Tigers had a gutty win last week over Florida while the Kentucky Wildcats got to 5-1 with an impressive win over UL-Monroe 49-14. The Wildcats haven't won the SEC crown in football since 1976 and have always struggled in Baton Rouge where they are 5-23-1 all-time. The home team is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings and the Tigers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games. The step up is too great for the Wildcats here. Take LOUSIANA STATE! |
10-18-14 | Texas A&M v. Alabama -13 | Top | 0-59 | Win | 100 | 27 h 28 m | Show |
Texas A&M at Alabama 3:30 ET Crimson Tide (-) over Aggies- Upon further review we can find trends that will steer us away from taking either of these clubs. Believe it or not but this is the Aggies eighth game of the season and playing every week since August will take it's toll. Texas A&M has dropped their last two to Mississippi State and Mississippi and has lost four-of-five against the points. Alabama was lucky to survive at Arkansas but was reeling off their loss to Mississippi. The Tide are still in the hunt and their defense will be the difference here. They are 3rd nationally in rushing defense and still sixth in scoring defense at 15.8 points pre game. Take ALABAMA! |
10-18-14 | Michigan State v. Indiana +15.5 | Top | 56-17 | Loss | -110 | 27 h 10 m | Show |
Michigan State at Indiana 3:30 ET Hoosiers (+) over Spartans- No. 6 Michigan State look for their fifth straight win since losing their at Oregon 46-27. They may have and even greater advantage entering this fray as the Hoosiers lost their starting quarterback last week against Iowa and will be starting true freshman Chris Covington. Indiana will have to rely on their standout running back Tevin Coleman who has over 1,00 yards and 13 touchdowns. The Spartans may be a little distracted in practice this week as Indiana doesn't appear to be a real threat and they have Michigan on deck. The Hoosiers are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five following a loss and the home team is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings. Take INDIANA! |
10-18-14 | Clemson v. Boston College +5.5 | Top | 17-13 | Win | 100 | 27 h 56 m | Show |
Clemson at Boston College 3:30 ET Eagles (+) over Tigers- Both these ACC clubs enter this contest 4-1 SU with the Tigers 3-1 in conference play and the perception here is that Clemson is a ranked power and the Eagles are just also-rans. Well, remember that these 'also-rans' beat Southern Cal at home and it wasn't even close as the Eagles pounded the ball on the ground. Boston College is 5-0 ATS in their last five game against a team with a winning record at home. The Tigers will be without starting quarterback Deshaun Watson who has a broken hand last week against N.C. State Clemson will miss him. Take BOSTON COLLEGE! |
