10-18-14 | Kansas State v. Oklahoma -7 | Top | 31-30 | Loss | -110 | 25 h 12 m | Show |
Kansas State at Oklahoma 12:00 ET Sooners (-) over Wildcats-Last week in this spot to told anyone that would listen that Texas had a chance to beat the Sooners on the field and they almost did but with 15 points to play with the Longhorns 'covered' easily. Oklahoma was out-gained 482-232 and had only one first down at the half. I must mention that the Sooners are 7-0 ATS in the last seven games after allowing 450 total yards in their previous game. After losing to Auburn 20-14 as a 7-point dog the Wildcats managed two easy wins as 28 and 14-point favorites over the likes of Texas El-Paso and Texas Tech, this time they have to play some real competition. Take OKLAHOMA! |
|||||||
10-13-14 | San Francisco 49ers v. St. Louis Rams +3.5 | Top | 31-17 | Loss | -105 | 23 h 54 m | Show |
San Francisco at St. Louis 8:30 ET Rams (+) over 49ers- If I get confused and call either of these teams the Giants or Cardinals I hope you understand. After the beating took Sunday I not sure how to approach the 'Strongest Play' of the weekend. Most of the story-lines surrounding the 49ers of late have little todo with football, player arrests,drug suspension a plenty and of course the weekly circus following Jim Harbaugh. The Rams really haven't played well at all but if there is one team that they ready themselves for it is San Francisco. St. Louis is 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine home games against a team with a winning record and the home team in the series is 5-2 ATS in their last seven meetings. Take ST. LOUIS! |
|||||||
10-12-14 | Green Bay Packers v. Miami Dolphins +3.5 | Top | 27-24 | Win | 100 | 22 h 8 m | Show |
Green Bay at Miami 1:00 ET Dolphins (+) over Packers- The Packers are off two huge division wins and now take to the road against a Miami team that won in London over the Raiders and is now off a bye week. The last time the Dolphins played hosts the Chiefs came in there and just dismantled the 'Fins. Green Bay enters this contest winning only three of 13 meetings and the Dolphins expect the return of Knowshon Moreno along with center Mike Pouncey and safety Reshad Jones. This is the time of the season when the Miami heat and humidity has the most effect. Take DOLPHINS! |
|||||||
10-12-14 | New England Patriots v. Buffalo Bills +3 | Top | 37-22 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 40 m | Show |
New England at Buffalo 10:00 ET Bills (+) over Patriots- Okay, so you tell me. Are the Patriots back? You saw it, they just totally dominated the Bengals last Sunday night as Brady looked like the man we are used to seeing the football. New England has been in command when playing in Buffalo going 8-2 ATS in their last 10 visits. I don't expect the sale of the Bills this week to have any effect on the out-come. But, I do think that with veteran Kyle Orton (30-43 308 YP) leading the offense and a tough pass defense that only allows 196 yards per game passing. Good spot for the Bills...take BUFFALO! |
|||||||
10-12-14 | Denver Broncos v. NY Jets +10 | Top | 31-17 | Loss | -105 | 21 h 13 m | Show |
Denver at New York Jets 1:00 ET Jets (+) over Broncos- The Broncos return to the scene of their Super Bowl debacle in February and the Jets return home to the debacle that is their football team. Seriously folks, this is a totally non-functional unit. From the ownership and general manager and coaching staff which has as it's OC the only 0-16 NFL head coach, their head coach has a foot fetish and their quarterback still plays like a 'deer caught in the head lights.' Still, they have a chance here as the Broncos are probably laugh themselves silly when viewing the film. Too much over and over-lay...Take the J-E-T-S! |
|||||||
10-11-14 | Ole Miss +2.5 v. Texas A&M | Top | 35-20 | Win | 100 | 31 h 3 m | Show |
Mississippi at Texas A&M 9:00 ET Rebels (+) over Aggies- Last Sunday when I saw this match-up I was so excited as I felt that Mississippi won't be able to recover from their celebrating their huge (Power Play) win over Alabama. They tore down medal goal posts and the school was even fined for allowing the student body to remain on the field hours after the win. A&M is off their loss to Mississippi State and I was expecting them to bounce back...NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND! There is something to be said for teams to be down after huge upset wins but, this Rebels team is build around defense and defensive teams don't suffer letdowns like other teams. They come to play and will hit you every week. No letdown here...take MISSISSIPPI! |
|||||||
10-11-14 | LSU v. Florida | Top | 30-27 | Loss | -110 | 29 h 55 m | Show |
LSU at Florida 7:30 ET Gators over Tigers- I am having a 'ball' playing against these LSU Tigers as they lost 17 senior starters from last years squad and have replaced them with freshman who just are not ready to play at this level. Florida is having internal problems but will be back to former starter senior Jeff Driskel who is 17-4 as a starter. LSU is last in the SEC in run defense and the Gators prefer to run as Driskel has been inconsistent completing just over 50% of his passes. The Tigers are using an inexperienced quarterback and Florida has allowed only one rushing touchdown this season. Take the GATORS! |
|||||||
10-11-14 | Penn State v. Michigan | Top | 13-18 | Win | 100 | 28 h 57 m | Show |
Penn State at Michigan 7:00 ET Wolverines over Nittany Lions- Hey, how about those Lions! Penn State enter Ann Arbor winners four of five tries and comes to the 'Big House' where dreadful Michigan enter this fray 2-4 and have looked worst then that. Penn State has had two week to sit with their loss to Northwestern while the Wolverines have reinstated Devin (Red Grange) Gardner as starting quarterback who will look to stop a four game losing streak to the Nittany Lions. Michigan holds a lifetime 10-7 series edge over Penn State who has posted toe late wins against Central Florida and Rutgers. Time runs out here. Take MICHIGAN! |
|||||||
10-11-14 | Oregon v. UCLA +3 | Top | 42-30 | Loss | -120 | 27 h 49 m | Show |
Oregon at UCLA 3:30 ET Bruins (+) over Ducks- The Oregon Ducks always seem to stub their toe even before they get a chance to establish that they are a contender for the National title as they did last week as a 24-point beaten favorite at home against Arizona. Both the Ducks and the UCLA Bruins are 4-1 straight-up and 1-4 ATS and this game is crucial for their PAC-12 chances. Oregon has dominated the series of late going 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings but UCLA has a 39-27 lifetime series edge. Last season the Ducks crushed the Bruins 42-14 holding quarterback Brett Hundley to 64 yards passing. This season Hundley leads the nation in completion percentage at 72.8 and has thrown for 1,310 yards with nine touchdowns and only two interceptions. Take UCLA! |
|||||||
10-06-14 | Seattle Seahawks v. Washington Redskins +8 | Top | 27-17 | Loss | -125 | 11 h 43 m | Show |
Seattle at Washington 8:30 ET Redskins (+) over Seahawks- There will be a clash of trends that surround this Monday night affair as the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks visit the Nation's Capital to play Washington. Seattle has won each of their last eight appearances on Monday Nights while the Redskins hold a 11-4 all-time regular season series advantage. Washington leads the NFL in sacks and their plan will be to pressure quarterback Russell Wilson and for Kirk Cousins to win his first start in his last six attempts. Washington has won the last six meetings straight-up and could possible pull this one out as the Seahawks are just not the same on the road. Take REDSKINS! |
|||||||
10-05-14 | Cincinnati Bengals v. New England Patriots +1.5 | Top | 17-43 | Win | 100 | 26 h 24 m | Show |
Cincinnati at New England 8:30 ET Patriots (+) over Bengals- This is the game that will define the Patriots season. If you missed their performance Monday night against the Chiefs in Kansas City you are better off. New England didn't enjoy watching it this week in the film room either. This might be the beginning of end of the Belichick/Brady era. The Pats were pushed around in week one when 'we' had the Dolphins as a best bet, they then defeated a Vikings team that was in turmoil and barely escaped the lowly Raiders. Cincinnati enters this fray 3-0 both straight-up and against the points while New England is 1-0 at home with a non-cover win over Oakland. Tonight it's the PATRIOTS! |
|||||||
10-05-14 | Kansas City Chiefs v. San Francisco 49ers -5 | Top | 17-22 | Push | 0 | 22 h 17 m | Show |
Kansas City at San Francisco 4:25 ET 49ers (-) over Chiefs- After watching the Colin “The Hoax” Kaepernick give away one opportunity after another (delay of game penalties twice when it's 3rd and 1 at the goal line). Kansas City comes off one of their best performance in recent memory in their total dismantling of the Patriot on Monday Night and will find the going a little tougher when Alex Smith returns to San Francisco. The Niners are holding opponents to an NFC low of 69.8 yards rushing per game. Under Hargaugh San Francisco is 5-0 ATS in their last five games in October. Take 49ers! |
|||||||
10-05-14 | NY Jets +7 v. San Diego Chargers | Top | 0-31 | Loss | -115 | 22 h 3 m | Show |
New York Jets at San Diego 4:25 ET Jets (+) over Chargers- Oh this looks sickening...the 'Green Slime' on the board again. There will be a clash here as San Diego brings a perfect spread record (4-0) into this matchup while the Jets have yet to get paid. New York is 4-1 ATS in their last five meetings in San Diego and the underdog is 5-1 ATS in their last six meetings. Phillip Rivers has just been named AFC Offensive Player of the Month and that is always a jinx. The Jets have allowed an NFL-low 63.3 yards rushing a game and they will pressure Rivers. Take NEW YORK JETS! |
|||||||
10-05-14 | St Louis Rams +7 v. Philadelphia Eagles | Top | 28-34 | Win | 100 | 19 h 57 m | Show |
St. Louis at Philadelphia 1:00 ET Rams (+) over Eagles- The thought of taking the Rams makes me want to throw-up as I used them as my Top-rated Vegas Insiders releases two weeks ago only to see them blow a 21-0 lead against the Cowboys. Last week 'we' played against Philadelphia as the 49ers pushed them all over the field in San Francisco and escaped with a 26-21 win after allowing the Eagles three (3) return touchdowns. Two negative trends clash as St. Louis is 1-6 ATS in their last seven meetings while the Eagles are 0-4 ATS in their last four NFC contests. Philly is still pretty banged-up and the Rams have had two weeks to stew. Take ST. LOUIS! |
|||||||
10-04-14 | South Carolina v. Kentucky +4 | Top | 38-45 | Win | 100 | 29 h 11 m | Show |
South Carolina at Kentucky 7:30 ET Wildcats (+) over Gamecocks- Off 'our' Vegas Insiders OUTRIGHT Win with Missouri over South Carolina I hear that the heart has been taken out of the two loss Gamecocks. It seems a bit strange to me that the Gamecocks are such a merge favorite considering the Wildcats have suspended their team leader in total yards as Stanley Williams and receiver Dorian Baker are sidelined. South Carolina just isn't the same caliber club of recent seasons as they have out-scored their opponents by just two points. Kentucky has the quarterbacking to get it done. Take the WILDCATS! |
|||||||
10-04-14 | LSU v. Auburn -7.5 | Top | 7-41 | Win | 100 | 29 h 24 m | Show |
LSU at Auburn 7:00 ET War Eagles (+) over Tigers- Oh how the mighty have fallen. I mean really when is the last time you saw LSU this big an underdog. I'll wait for one of my buddies to come up with that stat. The visitor is changing quarterbacks here and that might not be so advisable while the War Eagles will run over under and through the Purple and Yellow. Auburn lost one regular season game before their showdown with Florida State last year a 35-21 pasting by LSU but have won 12 straight at home, look for a measure of revenge from the home side. Take AUBURN |
|||||||
10-04-14 | Oklahoma v. TCU +6 | Top | 33-37 | Win | 100 | 28 h 22 m | Show |
Oklahoma at Texas Christian 3:30 ET Horned Frogs (+) over Sooners- Oh thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me this opportunity to smack Oklahoma after they beat 'us' two weeks ago against West Virginia. Oklahoma has one of the better balanced offenses in college football averaging 223 yards on the ground and 272 in the air. This should create a he challenge for the Horned Frogs as the take pride in their defense who have allowed only one touchdown in their last two contest although against weak competition. Still, this 'number' is way low and I expect the Sooners to have their hands full. I love this spot. Take TEXAS CHRISTIAN! |
|||||||
10-04-14 | Stanford -2.5 v. Notre Dame | Top | 14-17 | Loss | -110 | 27 h 23 m | Show |
Stanford at Notre Dame 3:30 ET Cardinal (-) over Frighting Irish- After watching Notre Dame just man-handle Syracuse and Stanford struggle against Washington one's first instinct would naturally gravitate toward the Irish. But, upon further review I see that the Golden Domers are the 'higher-ranked' team and yet they are underdogs at home. 'I think there is something wrong in Denmark' (funny I've been there and nothing seemed amiss). But, these 'numbers' come from Las Vegas or some deep dark hole somewhere and the truth is they don't make many mistakes. Somehow it's STANFORD! |
|||||||
10-04-14 | Alabama v. Ole Miss +6 | Top | 17-23 | Win | 100 | 27 h 40 m | Show |
Alabama at Mississippi 3:30 ET Rebels (+) over Crimson Tide- Well, we may have seen it with the Patriots over the weekend and we may witness it here is Mississippi can do a double-dip (Beating LSU and Alabama) and it becomes low Tide. That is a smell most in the SEC couldn't tolerate. Alabama is back as No. 1 and that might be bad for the Rebels as they are 0-10 against top-ranked opponents. Ole' Miss is 4-0 and other then the LSU has played against week opposition and will have their toughest test of their season and they are hungry for a win here. Take the points and MISSISSIPPI! |
|||||||
09-28-14 | Atlanta Falcons v. Minnesota Vikings +3 | Top | 28-41 | Win | 110 | 26 h 36 m | Show |
Atlanta at Minnesota 4:25 ET Vikings (+) over Falcons- Wow, is this line short or what? Minnesota who has a rookie quarterback making his first NFL start. Atlanta is coming off the second biggest win in franchise history a 56-14 thrashing of Tampa Bay last Thursday. The Vikings has scored just 16 points in the two games without Adrian Peterson but they do rank 11th in total defense. Falcons will find the going a little tougher against this bunch of hungry, angry and hostile Vikings. Take MINNESOTA! |
|||||||
09-28-14 | Philadelphia Eagles v. San Francisco 49ers -4.5 | Top | 21-26 | Win | 100 | 25 h 60 m | Show |
Philadelphia at San Francisco 1:25 ET 49ers (-) over Eagles- Another over-inflated line that attracts my attention as the struggling 49ers are favored over the soaring Eagles. Philadelphia has lit up the scoreboard with 101 points going 3-0 straight-up and 2-1 ATS. San Francisco has dropped their last two while scoring only three points in the second have this season. The Eagles are 0-5 ATS in last five games against the west. The Eagles have trailed by double-digits in all three games and still won...that won't happen this week. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
|||||||
09-28-14 | Detroit Lions v. NY Jets +2 | Top | 24-17 | Loss | -100 | 21 h 14 m | Show |
Detroit at New York Jets 1:00 ET? Jets (+) over Lions- I don't know what to say about the Jets and Geno Smith after watching them last Monday Night against the Bears in their 27-19 defeat. So, are the Lions supposed to get their sputtering offense (16 points last 2 games) together against the tough New York Jets defense. It is more likely that the Lions can benefit from Smith's mistakes as Stafford remains a mystery. Rex Ryan does have the Jets ready in the back-to-back home games as they are 15-2 ATS in that roll. Take the JETS! |
|||||||
09-27-14 | Notre Dame v. Syracuse +10 | Top | 31-15 | Loss | -115 | 30 h 55 m | Show |
Notre Dame vs Syracuse 8:00 ET (at E. Rutherford, NJ) Orange (+) over Fighting Irish- The improvement in the No. 8 Fighting Irish can be seen in their defense where they have allowed only 31 points while assembling a 3-0 record. Syracuse got whacked (Terps Early-Bird winner) last week by Maryland as they were caught looking ahead to what can be the biggest game on their schedule against the Irish while the Domers might get caught here look toward Stanford. That loss could help the Orange as they are 7-1-1 ATS following a straight-up loss and Notre Dame is just 1-6 ATS in their last seven on fieldturf. The lifetime series is tied 3-3 with the Orange taking the last meetings 24-23 in South Bend in 2008. Take SYRACUSE! |
|||||||
09-27-14 | Missouri +6 v. South Carolina | Top | 21-20 | Win | 100 | 29 h 25 m | Show |
Missouri at South Carolina 7:00 ET Tigers (+) over Gamecocks- Both clubs enter this contest 3-1 as Missouri is coming off their home upset loss to Indiana 27-24 in overtime. Missouri have won six straight on the road while South Carolina has won 20 of its last 21 at home. Their are some trends in this contest that favored the Gamecocks more then the Tigers but we are aware how team coached by Steve Spurrier get better as the season wears on, as evidenced by their 1-5 ATS record in September. Look for the Tigers defense to raise as they had their 47 consecutive games with a take-a-way ended last week. Take MISSOURI! |
|||||||
09-27-14 | Arkansas +10 v. Texas A&M | Top | 28-35 | Win | 100 | 26 h 37 m | Show |
Arkansas at Texas A&M 3:30 ET (at Arlington, TX) Razorbacks (+) over Aggies- To start with I like the history of this games as the Razorbacks are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings and they are 4-0 ATS in their last four on fieldturf. The Aggies seem to have moved on from the Johnny Football era and with Kenny Hill leading A&M to a 4-0 start. This will be a contrast in styles as A&M who average 55.3 points per game and had 663 yards against a weak SMU squad last time out will put the ball in the air with a no-huddle offense while Bret Bielema will use his top running backs to slow down the game. Arkansas won their third straight since an opening loss to Auburn over Northern Illinois and get the money here. Take ARKANSAS! |
|||||||
09-22-14 | Chicago Bears v. NY Jets -2.5 | Top | 27-19 | Loss | -104 | 11 h 45 m | Show |
Chicago at New York Jets 8:30 ET Jets (-) over Bears- Last week these two clubs came from opposite directions with differing results. The Bears erased a 17-point deficit in San Francisco last Sunday night for a come-from-behind 28-20 victory while the Jets blew an 18-points (21-3) lead at Green Bay and were defeated 31-24. Jay Cutler better be at his best because the Jets defense has been fierce against the run. New York is number one in rushing defense allowing just 52.5 yards per game on the ground while producing the top running game in the NFL with 179 rushing yards per game. This does not bode well for Chicago as they lost five starters on defense to injuries. Take the JETS! |
|||||||
09-21-14 | Pittsburgh Steelers +3 v. Carolina Panthers | Top | 37-19 | Win | 109 | 26 h 24 m | Show |
Pittsburgh at Carolina 8:30 ET Steelers (+) over Panthers- The undefeated Carolina Panthers (2-0) have allowed just 21 points on the season in beating Tampa Bay 20-14 and Detroit 24-7. It doesn't appear that they have missed suspended Pro Bowl defensive end Hardy because of his domestic abuse conviction. Pittsburgh was pounded by Baltimore their last out on Thursday night and will have a huge effort here to atone for their national embarrassment. Part of he 0-2 Steelers problems are that they have yet to create a turnover and have given it away four times. Trends say Pittsburgh as they are 17-6 ATS as a dog when facing a team off a straight-up win (Thank you ML). Take PITTSBURGH! |
|||||||
09-21-14 | Dallas Cowboys v. St Louis Rams +1 | Top | 34-31 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 21 m | Show |
Dallas at St. Louis 1:00 ET Rams (+) over Cowboys- so, now that the Dallas Cowboys have won a game the 'public' will jump back on them again and pay for their move. Trends surrounding this contest tell me Dallas is in trouble at St. Louis. Here some of the 'facts' involved here; for some reason the Cowboys are 0-6 ATS after playing Tennessee, Going from a road dog to road favorite is now good for Dallas as they are 4-11-1 ATS in that roll. They are not only 1-7 ATS off a straight-up win but they are 6-15-1 ATS as favorites off a straight-up underdog win. Austin Davis gets his second start for the Rams at quarterback and already has one win under his belt. Take ST LOUIS! |
|||||||
09-21-14 | Tennessee Titans +7 v. Cincinnati Bengals | Top | 7-33 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 31 m | Show |
Tennessee at Cincinnati 1:00 ET Titans (+) over Bengals- Cincinnati provided a huge win for 'us' last Sunday and now they host Tennessee after beating the Falcons and that is not necessarily a good thing for the Bengals as they are 0-5 both straight-up and against the points after playing Atlanta. The Titans pass defense has been the toughest in the league and now with game-breaker A.J. Green most likely be sidelined the Bengals may not have that explosive factor on offense. Although the Bengals have won 10 straight at home they will have trouble covering the number here. Take TENNESSEE! |
|||||||
09-20-14 | Miami (Fla) +8 v. Nebraska | Top | 31-41 | Loss | -110 | 31 h 49 m | Show |
Miami-FL at Nebraska 8:00 ET Hurricanes (+) over Cornhuskers- Yes, Nebraska is 3-0 and has outscored their opponents by 30 points a game but who have they played? They beat Florida Atlantic 55-7, McNeese State 31-24 and one of the worst Fresno State teams in years 55-19. Their opponents are 1-7 and the Cornhuskers took advantage of some very weak teams. The Hurricanes are young but have had big game experience and relish playing Nebraska in Lincoln. Take MIAMI! |
|||||||
09-20-14 | Oklahoma v. West Virginia +8 | Top | 45-33 | Loss | -110 | 30 h 18 m | Show |
Oklahoma at West Virginia 7:30 ET Mountaineers (+) over Sooners- West Virginia opened the season with a tough loss to Alabama and bounced back with two impressive wins since beating Towson 54-0 and Maryland 40-37. The Mountaineers snapped the ball a school record 108 times against the Terps as they managed 511 yards passing. Morgantown is considered one of the toughest place for a visitor to compete in and the Sooners will have their hands full. This could end up a shootout but West Virginia should keep it close. Take the MOUNTAINEERS! |
|||||||
09-18-14 | Auburn v. Kansas State +9.5 | Top | 20-14 | Win | 100 | 26 h 59 m | Show |
Auburn at Kansas State 7:30 ET Wildcats (+) over Tigers- Man, I know, I look at these Auburn numbers and they seem unstoppable. They average 52 points in their two wins running for 330 yards per game and passing for over 200. They are +3 in the over margin and are a tough go-against. Kansas State on the other hand is also 2-0 straight-up but 0-2 ATS and have a decided stat trend advantage. The Wildcats are 20-4 straight-up in their last 24 at home with only three of those game losses came by more then 10 points. At home under Bill Snyder is 36-1 straight-up in this 'special' situation. Take KANSAS STATE! |
|||||||
09-14-14 | Seattle Seahawks v. San Diego Chargers +6 | Top | 21-30 | Win | 100 | 21 h 20 m | Show |
Seattle at San Diego 4:05 ET Chargers (+) over Seahawks- Love the fact that we opened the season with a huge winner on the Seahawks in Seattle last Thursday Night and now they take to the road to play a beaten playoff team. San Diego looked like they were ready to pull off the upset in Arizona Monday night and had to settle for the points spread win in their loss to the Cardinals 18-17. These two met a couple of weeks ago in Seattle and the Seahawks pummeled the Chargers in that preseason game and should be slightly over confident entering this fray. Take SAN DIEGO! |
|||||||
09-14-14 | Atlanta Falcons v. Cincinnati Bengals -5 | Top | 10-24 | Win | 100 | 17 h 58 m | Show |
Atlanta at Cincinnati 1:00 ET Bengals (-) over Falcons- Last week I used the Falcons as my 'Top-Rated' Vegas Insider winner as they knocked off arch rival New Orleans. The Bengals blew a 15-0 fourth quarter lead only to come-back with a big 80 yard touchdown play to secure the victory over Baltimore. This week the Falcons will come into this fray missing the 'edge' that they had last week while the Bengals who lead the series 7-5 (but have lost the last three) have won nine straight regular season home games. It just figures that Cats win and 'cover' here. Take CINCINNATI! |
|||||||
09-13-14 | Georgia v. South Carolina +7 | Top | 35-38 | Win | 100 | 30 h 43 m | Show |
Georgia at South Carolina 3:30 ET Gamecocks (+) over Bulldogs- Okay, here we go. Two weeks ago I posted Georgia -8 over Clemson as my 'Highest Rated' Vegas Insiders winner and followed it with Oregon over Michigan State last week. This week we go to the dog as the Gamecocks will try and atone for their last national TV embarrassment against Texas A&M when they surrendered 52 points. The Aggies did it with their passing game while the Bulldogs will try and run the ball down your throat with Todd Gurley leading the way. Spurrier is 15-6 against Georgia and will a win here will become the all-time winningest coach against the Bulldogs. Take SOUTH CAROLINA! |
|||||||
09-07-14 | New Orleans Saints v. Atlanta Falcons +3 | Top | 34-37 | Win | 100 | 21 h 40 m | Show |
New Orleans at Atlanta 1:05 ET Falcons (+) over Saints- I know the 'public' will be enamored with the Saints here and I like the position that the Flacons are in. To start with New Orleans is 0-4 ATS in their first road game the last four tears and they are 2-9-1 ATS in their last 12 away games. Atlanta head coach Mike Smith is 19-6 ATS at home with revenge. Add the fact that they actually have 'double-revenge' where they are 6-1 ATS. Matt Ryan with a healthy Julio Jones can match Drew Brees numbers and pull of the small upset. Take ATLANTA! |
|||||||
09-06-14 | Michigan State v. Oregon -11.5 | Top | 27-46 | Win | 100 | 28 h 55 m | Show |
Michigan State at Oregon 6:30 ET Ducks (-) over Spartans- This is a 'Big-time' game being played early in the season when No. 4 Oregon hosts No. 6 Michigan State in a contest that will go a long way toward Playoff implications. The Spartans opened the season with a dominating win but ended up with a number of players hobbling off the field. Oregon who is 39-5 straight-up at home and are 12-1-1 ATS in their second straight home games. Michigan State is 10-2 in their last 12 as an underdog but in underdog losses they 3-11-1 ATS. The 'line' is very high as Vegas is trying to force you to the dog. Don't fall for it. Take OREGON! |
|||||||
09-06-14 | USC +3 v. Stanford | Top | 13-10 | Win | 100 | 25 h 42 m | Show |
Southern California at Stanford 3:30 ET Trojans (+) over Cardinal- First off, I'm pissed off that this game is being played today September 6 when these two clubs should be meeting in late October or November. Both clubs destroyed their opposition last week as USC pounded Fresno State 52-13 and Stanford dominated under-manned UC Davis 45-0. There is a huge advantage for the Trojans in the PAC-12 North if they win here as they are not scheduled to play Oregon but Stanford will play the Ducks. Stanford is 14-0 straight-up at home but only 6-8 ATS and while playing for revengue they will fall short here. Surprised the price is so short as USC is 0-8 ATS in their last eight road games against a team with a winning record as well as 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings while the Cardinal are 0-4 after a 20-point win. Take SOUTHERN CAL! |

08-30-14 | Clemson v. Georgia -7.5 | Top | 21-45 | Win | 100 | 28 h 38 m | Show |
Clemson at Georgia 5:30 ET Bulldogs (-) over Tigers- Last year these two opened with a classic battle to start the season as the Tigers pulled off the outright upset with Tajh Boyd and Sammy Watkins leading the way in a 38-35 win. Georgia suffered a few more pitfalls in their disappointing 8-5 campaign. The Bulldogs will have the best player on the field in running back Todd Gurley and his counterpart Keith Marshall are healthy will be difficult to stop. Bulldogs have revenge on their minds and they'll get it here. Bulldogs have a serious edge in the series going 41-18-4. Take GEORGIA! |
|||||||
02-02-14 | Seattle Seahawks +3 v. Denver Broncos | Top | 43-8 | Win | 100 | 54 h 43 m | Show |
Super Bowl- Met Life Stadium E. Rutherford, New Jersey
Seattle vs Denver 6:30 ET Seahawks (+) over Broncos- This could really evolve into a classic confrontation as it pits the NFL greatest scoring offense with Denver and the league No. 1 defense with Seattle. The Broncos scored 606 points this season and this is the first time in 20 years that both number one seeds made it to the Super Bowl. The weather of course is a concern for most but it really won't matter to the players and the conditions shouldn't necessary be unplayable. If you want to compare quarterbacks let me just say Manning of course throws the ball better but Wilson is more mobile and that is what will be needed to win this game. With both defense applying pressure I expect the points might come into play. I was trying to figure out why before these teams were decided the NFC was a 2 |
|||||||
01-19-14 | New England Patriots v. Denver Broncos -4 | Top | 16-26 | Win | 100 | 27 h 18 m | Show |
AFC Championship 3:00 ET
New England at Denver Broncos (-) over Patriots- Well, here we go! Currently, the two best quarterbacks of their era face off once again as the winner heads to the Super Bowl and the losers legacy will be questioned. I have a whole bunch of good stuff supplied by my competitor and friend (thanks Mark). I just don't believe the Patriots are a Super Bowl team and this is where their dreams come to an end. (Wondering who Aaron Hernandez is rooting for or against?) here it is NFL Playoff teams that scored 40 or more points are 4-22 ATS since 1966 in their next playoff game. New England has won and covered four straight in this series but they are 3-12 straight-up and 4-11 ATS at Mile High. Brady is 10-4 SU and 8-5-1 ATS in head-to-head with Manning. TAKE DENVER! |
|||||||
01-12-14 | San Francisco 49ers v. Carolina Panthers +3 | Top | 23-10 | Loss | -140 | 48 h 19 m | Show |
San Francisco at Carolina 1:00 ET
Panthers (+) over 49ers- San Francisco comings steamrolling into this game with seven straight wins and have revenge on their minds. It was 'the' game that gave the Panthers confidence with a win in San Francisco eight weeks ago. The 49ers at 13-4 and 11-5-1 ATS have been great for the most part all season except that particular home game against the Panthers where the Carolina defense was in control and shut down Colin Kaeparnick. As a matter of fact Carolina seems to have the Niners number going 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. Now, the next thing I give you does bother me somewhat, the 49ers are 5-0 ATS in their last five road games against a team with a winnings record. Take CAROLINA! |
|||||||
01-06-14 | Auburn v. Florida State -9 | Top | 31-34 | Loss | -125 | 10 h 9 m | Show |
Florida State at Auburn 8:30 ET
Seminoles (-) over Tigers- These Auburn Tigers have done some things this season that will be remembered forever in college football anneals. It actually started before the 'Hail Mary' against Georgia with a double-tipped pass and then the historic failed kickoff return against Alabama. The Tigers have one of the best run attacks ever assembled on a collegiate field lead by Tre Mason who ran for 1,621 yards and quarterback Nick Marshall 1,023 yards rushing and 12 passing touchdowns as well as 12 rushing TD's. With Florida State averaging 53 points a game and Auburn 40 it might surprise you yo find that the difference in this game will be the defense. The Tigers are surrendering 24 points per game while the Seminoles allow only 10.7 points per contest. This will be the key factor here. Take FLORIDA STATE! |
|||||||
01-04-14 | Kansas City Chiefs +1 v. Indianapolis Colts | Top | 44-45 | Push | 0 | 23 h 49 m | Show |
Kansas City at Indianapolis Sat. 4:30 ET
Chiefs (+) over Colts- Both these clubs finished to regular season 11-5 but it was Kansas City that attracted most of the attention this year as their 9-0 start had a buzz. Now, the speak is that the Chiefs only beat one team with a winning record and that was in September against at that time the struggles Philadelphia Eagles. The Colts already dominated the Chiefs in Kansas City winning 23-7 and won last year 20-13 as a 6 |
|||||||
01-04-14 | Houston +3 v. Vanderbilt | Top | 24-41 | Loss | -115 | 18 h 17 m | Show |
Compass Bowl,
Birmingham, AL Sat 1:00 ET Houston vs Vanderbilt Cougars (+) over Commodores- A pair of 8-4 surprises meet at Legion Field in Birmingham Alabama where both clubs have lost important part of their offenses since the regular season ended. Houston's offensive coordinator Doug Meacham left for TCU and Vanderbilt's senior quarterback Austyn Carta-Samuels who started the last three games will not play after having surgery on his knee. The Cougars ranked No. 1 in the nation in take-a-ways with 40 and will a different signing caller I see Houston taking advantage. Take HOUSTON! |
|||||||
01-03-14 | Oklahoma State -112 v. Missouri | Top | 31-41 | Loss | -112 | 30 h 23 m | Show |
Cotton Bowl Dallas, TX 8:00
Oklahoma State vs Missouri Cowboys over Tigers- Both these clubs are coming off losses as Missouri was blown out by Auburn tin the SEC Championship game and Oklahoma State was humbled by Oklahoma. Both these clubs average almost 40 points per contest with State at 39.8 and the Tigers at 39.0 points per game. Missouri likes to do it on the ground with a trio of running backs and their talented quarterback James Franklin who is also a threat to run with the ball. Both defenses create turnovers as the Cowboys were a +15 and the Tigers +16. It's right that this game is a virtual pick-em because they are both so well balanced. I just think the Cowboys are a little better. Take OKLAHOMA STATE! |
|||||||
01-01-14 | Wisconsin -115 v. South Carolina | Top | 24-34 | Loss | -115 | 23 h 40 m | Show |
Citrus Bowl Orlando, FL 1:00 ET
Wisconsin vs South Carolina Badgers (+) over Gamecocks- The question here is can the 'Meat-eaters' of Wisconsin impose their will against the South Carolina defense led by Jadeveon Clowney. The Badgers had a six game win streak stopped by Penn State in their finale as they realized their dream of a fourth straight Rose Bowl was not in the cards. They suffered a major letdown and will stone for it here. The Gamecocks have had a number of distractions that might effect them but when I see that a three loss team for the weak Big Ten is favored over a two loss team from the SEC I raise an eyebrow. Wisconsin allows just 14.8 points per game compared to South Carolina at 20.0. Take the BADGERS! |
|||||||
01-01-14 | Iowa +8 v. LSU | Top | 14-21 | Win | 100 | 23 h 39 m | Show |
Outback Bowl Tampa, FL 1:00 ET
Iowa vs LSU Hawkeyes (+) over Tigers- The question today is who is happy to be here and who is disappointed? LSU enters Tampa after a grueling SEC season and will be with the NCAA passing efficiency leader quarterback Matt Zettenberger who was injured in their final game against Arkansas. Iowa has the No. 7 defense in the country at 303.2 yards per game as they are 11th against the pass (182.4) and No. 17 versus the run (120.8). These two have met once before a 30-25 victory in the Capital One Bowl in 2005. Look for more of the same as the Hawkeyes surprise the Tigers. Take IOWA! |
|||||||
12-31-13 | Virginia Tech +7.5 v. UCLA | Top | 12-42 | Loss | -105 | 24 h 25 m | Show |
Sun Bowl Tues. El Paso, TX 2:00 ET
Virginia Tech (+) over UCLA Hokies (+) over Bruins- UCLA has had a great season and has a chance to win their 10th game of the season for the first time since 2005. We've had great success with and against the Bruins including out Game of the Year winner over Southern California. It was that final win of the year that pits us against UCLA here as that win over the Trojans is the biggest win on the board as they feel like they have already won their 'bowl game.' Tech is a bit banged-up but Frank Beemer teams get better as the season rolls on. In a struggle with for the Hokies to get the money. Take VIRGINIA TECH! |
|||||||
12-30-13 | Texas +14.5 v. Oregon | Top | 7-30 | Loss | -105 | 29 h 40 m | Show |
Alamo Bowl- San Antonio, TX Mon 6:45 ET
Texas vs Oregon Longhorns (+) over Ducks- We can follow a number of different story lines in this Mack Brown's last games as coach for Texas (#1). A number of Oregon players have stated that anything other then the BCS Championship game would be a let-down even the 'Rose Bowl.' Now' if you can't get psyched to play in the 'Grand-daddy' of them all what incentive do you have in San Antonio. (#2). When Oregon took their first defeat they never fully recovered, they averaged 101 less yards per game after their first defeat. Here's a bowl trend that I stole from a friend in the industry but PAC-12 teams playing pre-New Year's Day are 1-11 ATS as favorites of six or more points. (How about that!...thanks ML) Another one for you is that first year bowl coaches are 1-4 ATS first time out. With emotion on the side of the departing Mack Brown it will be 'Hook-em Horns'. Take TEXAS! |
|||||||
12-30-13 | Ole Miss v. Georgia Tech +3.5 | Top | 25-17 | Loss | -115 | 25 h 30 m | Show |
Music City Bowl- Nashville, TN Mon. 3:15 ET
Mississippi vs Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (+) over Rebels- Golly, I hope I don't hate myself in the morning over this one as Georgia Tech is so one-dimensional that it's difficult for them if the fall behind or if the field conditions are poor or even if a good defensive coach comes up with a game plan. The trends her give the Rebels the bowl edge as they are 11-2 straight-up and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 post season appearances while Tech is 1-5 both straight-up and ATS the last six years. The Yellow Jackets are an unbelievable 17-1 ATS as a dog versus opponents off a loss and Mississippi is 2-19 against-the-points as favorites after they allow more then 225 yards rushing. How about THAT! Take GEORGIA TECH! |
|||||||
12-28-13 | Michigan +6 v. Kansas State | Top | 14-31 | Loss | -110 | 28 h 20 m | Show |
Wild Wings Bowl Sat. 10:15 ET Tempe, AZ
Michigan vs Kansas State Wolverines (+) over Wildcats-Michigan enters this contest not only without their stud quarterback Devin Gardner but they have dropped five of their last six including that |
|||||||
12-27-13 | Washington v. BYU +3.5 | Top | 31-16 | Loss | -110 | 31 h 11 m | Show |
Fight Hungry Bowl San Francisco, CA 9:30 ET
Brigham Young vs Washington Cougars (+) over Huskies- Two familiar rivals will hook up once again as the Washington Huskies and Brigham Young Cougars clash once again, this time for the first time in a bowl game, in San Francisco. Washington will have a new coach in Chris Petersen but he will be just an observer for this contest as Steve Sarkisian left for Southern Cal. The Huskies have won four of their last five games and although they are 4-1 ATS in their last five December games they are 1-4 ATS against teams with a winning record. Meanwhile, BYU has recorded wins against six teams going to bowl games. The all-time series which started in 1985 in even at 4-4 with BYU winning the last three. Make that four straight. Take BRIGHAM YOUNG! |
|||||||
12-26-13 | Utah State +1 v. Northern Illinois | Top | 21-14 | Win | 100 | 33 h 9 m | Show |
Poinsettia Bowl San Diego, CA
Utah State vs, Northern Illinois 9:30 ET Aggies (+) over Huskies- Golly I took it on the chin with Boise State but I am more then going to make up for it with this winner. Northern Illinois was one win away from a chance to play in a BCS bowl for the second straight year and even with Heisman finalist Jordan Lynch leading the Huskies this year they will not be ready emotionally to play this game. The blew their chance didn't even win the conference championship and here they are a day after Christmas (Not New Years' Day as they were planning). The odds makers are well aware of this and that is why Northern Illinois is such a small favorite over a Mountain West team that lost five games. Utah State is seventh in the nation in total defense and will be able to manage to contain the Huskies one-man gang in Lynch. Take UTAH STATE! |
|||||||
12-24-13 | Oregon State v. Boise State +3 | Top | 38-23 | Loss | -105 | 30 h 20 m | Show |
Hawaii Bowl, Honolulu, HI
Boise State vs Oregon State 8:00 ET Broncos (+) over Beavers- There is no question Oregon State can move the ball with quarterback Sean Mannion throwing for 4,403 yards and 36 touchdowns but, the defense is weak as they enter this contest having lost their last five straight-up alone with a terrible -9 tiurnover margin.. The Broncos have had what most would admit is a down season at 8-4 but they have two capable quarterbacks now that Joe Southwick has returned after missing four games. Boise will also be with head coach Chris Peterson who moved over to U. of Washington, but they have won four straight bowl games and will be ready here. Take BOISE STATE! |
|||||||
12-22-13 | New Orleans Saints +3.5 v. Carolina Panthers | Top | 13-17 | Loss | -115 | 18 h 56 m | Show |
New Orleans at Carolina 1:00 ET
Saints (+) over Panthers- My natural instinct is to take Carolina after the way they got crushed in New Orleans two weeks ago. New Orleans is coming off a lackluster performance and loss to the Rams while the Panthers rebounded with a 10-point win over the Jets. Both clubs are 10-4 but with a win the Saints clinch the NFC South while Carolina gets a playoff berth with a victory. I love key trends and there is one here that concerns Drew Brees and the Saints They are 14-5 straight-up and 16-3 ATS in games off a non-division loss. Finally, the Panthers are 9-15 straight-up and 5-17-2 ATS against foes with an equal or better record. It's got to be NEW ORLEANS! |
|||||||
12-22-13 | Miami Dolphins v. Buffalo Bills +3 | Top | 0-19 | Win | 100 | 18 h 13 m | Show |
Miami at Buffalo 1:00 ET
Bills (+) over Dolphins- Ya know I would have preferred E.J Manual to be starting here but really what is the difference as he alone with Sunday's starter Thad Lewis are both first year players. Who know who might develop into an NFL All-Star. With their win over the Patriots last week the Dolphins won their fourth in six tries. But Miami is in a roll that they are accustomed to. As a road favorite off a win against a sub .500 club they are 2-6 straight-up and 0-8 ATS. On the other side of the coin the Bills are 0-8 Against trhe points after a straight-up win. Buffalo won the first encounter 23-21 with Lewis leading the way. Defense and a win at home are what gets the money here. Take BUFFALO! |
|||||||
12-21-13 | USC -6 v. Fresno State | Top | 45-20 | Win | 100 | 27 h 1 m | Show |
Fresno State vs Southern California 3:30 ET
Trojans (-) over Bulldogs- Hey gang, I don't want to scare anyone with this selection but my reasoning my seen 'off-the-wall' but believe me it's solid. Okay, here it is. Last year the Trojans were the consensus pre-season No.1 and were expected to compete for the BCS Championship. Well, under Lane Kiffin the team played like 'crap' and had to play in a minor bowl game in El-Paso, Texas. Ah, this is where 'we' stepped in and posted 'against USC as a Game of the Year winner. Last year the Trojans were so disappointed in their bowl stature that they didn't want to play and it showed. Now, they are on their third coach of the season and most think that they are just going through the motions especially after their season ending loss to rival UCLA. Ah, that's where the good stuff starts. I know that Fresno State led by Derek Carr who led the nation in passing with 4,866 yards and 48 touchdowns is a formidable opponent but he hasn't faced a defense as fast as USC. Believe me when I say the Trojans are motivated as a team no matter who is coaching. I expect a surprising easy win for SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA! |
|||||||
12-15-13 | New Orleans Saints v. St. Louis Rams +6.5 | Top | 16-27 | Win | 100 | 28 h 22 m | Show |
New Orleans at St. Louis 4:25 ET
Rams (+) over Saints- I hate the idea of coming against the Saints so often but last Sunday night was a total 'mis-read' as I pushed myself into the wrong side of that encounter. But, this Sunday on the road New Orleans ia ready for a fall against a well coach though under-manned Rams. The Saints are one win away from clinching a playoff spot but they are just 3-3 on the road St. Louis just lost their second straight and fifth in last seven which might lead to a New Orleans letdown after their win over Carolina. They average only 18.8 points on the road as opposed to 32.9 in the Superdome. This game is just a spot for a good effort out of the Rams and a low-spot for the Saints. Take ST. LOUIS! |
|||||||
12-15-13 | Kansas City Chiefs v. Oakland Raiders +6 | Top | 56-31 | Loss | -110 | 29 h 30 m | Show |
Kansas City at Oakland 4:05 ET
Raiders (+) over Chiefs- After posting only one win last season the Kansas City Chiefs are one win away from a clinching their first playoff berth since 2010. Oakland have now dropped three straight and five of their last six to drop out of contention. The Chiefs have had their way in Oakland of late winning eight of their last 10 trips. Kansas City is off the crushing of Washington after having lost their previous three contests. Matt McGloin will once again start at quarterback for the Raiders who lead the AFC in rushing thanks to the use of Terrelle Pryer who will see action running the ball. The Chiefs have the number one defense but they are 2-11 straight-up and 1-2 ATS the last 13 times as a favorite in a division game. Little know fact is that Oakland out-gained the Chiefs in their 24-7 loss holding KC to a season low 216 yards. Take OAKLAND! |
|||||||
12-15-13 | Seattle Seahawks v. NY Giants +7 | Top | 23-0 | Loss | -105 | 25 h 38 m | Show |
Seattle at New York Giants 1:00 ET
Giants (+) over Seahawks- The Seattle Seahawks are off their two-point loss to the 49ers but still maintain a two game division lead. They will skate into the playoffs and now face a club that has been eliminated from playoff action as after an 0-6 start the Giants are now 5-8 and will watch the Superbowl from Giants Stadium at home. The difference in these two clubs playoff fortunes can be explained in one word turnovers. The Seahawks have 28 takeaways and the Giants have committed an NFL-high 34 turnovers. After their terrible performance against San Diego last week the Gaints to a man don't want to get embarrassed at home. Take NEW YORK! |
|||||||
12-15-13 | Philadelphia Eagles v. Minnesota Vikings +7 | Top | 30-48 | Win | 100 | 18 h 56 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Minnesota 1:00 ET
Vikings (+) over Eagles- The Eagles coming flying into Minnesota with a five-game winning streak and the NFL's leading rusher in LeSean McCoy who ran for 217 yards in the snow against the Lions last week. Minnesota is off one of the wildest finishes in NFL history as they combined with the Ravens at score five touchdowns in the final 2:05 minutes of the game. Philadelphia has not done well in this weeks situation as they are 1-4 straight-up and 0-5 ATS as a favorite of more then 3-points versus NFC North opposition. The Vikings are also 6-0 ATS as a dog of six or less off a loss. The clincher come when we see that a non-division favorite after three straight home games is 3-17 ATS. Take MINNESOTA! |
|||||||
12-09-13 | Dallas Cowboys v. Chicago Bears +1.5 | Top | 28-45 | Win | 100 | 11 h 32 m | Show |
Dallas at Chicago 8:40 ET Bears (+) over Cowboys- The Bears trail the Cowboys by one game in the NFC playoff hunt have dropped their last two. Dallas has won their last two while Chicago because of a few skeptical coaching decisions have lost their last two. The best news for the Bears entering this game is that Jay Cutler is not available and Josh McCown will be getting his fifth start of the season. Under what should be questionable conditions McCown is better suited for the Bears. At home on a Monday Night it's CHICAGO!
|
|||||||
12-08-13 | Carolina Panthers +3.5 v. New Orleans Saints | Top | 13-31 | Loss | -110 | 29 h 22 m | Show |
Carolina at New Orleans 8:30 ET
Panthers (+) over Saints- A clash of trends butt heads in this pivotal NFC contest that will go a long way to deciding home field and top seeding in the NFC. To start with believe it or not Carolina is 11-1 ATS in their last 12 games in the Superdome and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 meetings overall. The Panthers enter this contest on an eight-game winning streak with the league's toughest defense allowing only 13.1 points per game. The Saints are off their worst offensive performance under Sean Payton with only 188 total yards at Seattle and now face an even tougher defense. The line is short and the Panthers are hot. Take CAROLINA! |
|||||||
12-08-13 | Seattle Seahawks v. San Francisco 49ers -2.5 | Top | 17-19 | Loss | -110 | 25 h 55 m | Show |
Seattle at San Francisco 4:25 ET
49ers (-) over Seahawks- The Seattle Seahawks come off one of the most impressive victories of the season with their total annihilation of the Saints (Megabucks Winner) last Monday Night. There are a number of solid handicapping reasons as to why we should be on San Francisco. To start with is the revenge factor in how the Seahawks dominated the 49ers earlier in the season at Seattle and probably more important is the drop-off in the level of play to be suffered by the 'Hawks after their huge win. No question of how Seattle had the best of the last two meetings out-scoring the Niners 71-16. If San Francisco has any shot (at least physiologically) to represent the West again they need a win here. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
|||||||
12-08-13 | Kansas City Chiefs v. Washington Redskins +3.5 | Top | 45-10 | Loss | -110 | 24 h 53 m | Show |
Kansas City at Washington 1:00 ET
Redskins (+) over Chiefs- This is sick, as I see the redskins as being the 'right' side of this game. Kansas City enters losing three straight after opening the season 9-0 and blowing a 21-7 lead against Denver (Huge loser for us). Washington also blew a 14-point lead against the Giants last week as they dropped to 3-9 while the Chiefs dropped to 9-3. The 'Skins have now dropped four straight and have looked horrible doing it. And you know Griffin hasn't had much help as Washington surrenders over 30 points per game. Still, the luster is gone for Kansas City and the Redskins need a huge effort here. Look for (now get this) the Redskins to scalp the Chiefs! Take WASHINGTON! |
|||||||
12-08-13 | Oakland Raiders v. NY Jets -2.5 | Top | 27-37 | Win | 100 | 24 h 33 m | Show |
Oakland at New York Jets 1:00 ET
Jets (-) over Raiders- Do you realize how bad Oakland must be for the Jets to be favored by a field goal. Granted New York does have a better record (5-7) but if you have seen them play in recent week you realize how far away they are from being any good. But, we've seen them dominate the Saints and win four other games so are they really all that bad, because they are still in the in the AFC playoff hunt. The Jets will rely on there run game both offensively and defensively to control the tempo and out-come here. Take the JETS! |
|||||||
12-07-13 | Utah State +3 v. Fresno State | Top | 17-24 | Loss | -115 | 32 h 4 m | Show |
Mountain West Championship 10:00 ET
Utah State at Fresno State, Fresno Cal. Aggies (+) over Bulldogs- To start with this looks like a very short number for a team the was playing for a BCS berth last week. We were happy to post San Jose State and ruin Fresno's dreams but they really weren't that good and you will see them get exploited by a power defensive team tonight. Utah State has been good to us all year with and against the points (8-4 ATS) while the Bulldogs have burned money all season 'covering' only four of 11 games. I have some trends that are son one sided I couldn't turn any of them away. First, the underdog is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings, the Aggies are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings, Fresno State is 1-5 ATS in their last six home games. Enough said. Take UTAH STATE! |
|||||||
12-07-13 | Ohio State -5 v. Michigan State | Top | 24-34 | Loss | -110 | 31 h 34 m | Show |
Big Ten Championship 8:15 ET, Indianapolis, IN
Ohio State vs Michigan State Buckeyes (-) over Spartans- Wow, what a difficult call. At first look I was inclined to take Michigan State with the points after all they are the nation's leading defensive team. There may be a difference in the two defenses when they are on the field, the Spartans allow only 2.2 yards per carry on the season while the Buckeyes just surrendered over 600 yards to Michigan last Saturday. It's that game that gives me today's winner. Ohio State is well balanced and will about to move the ball and don't be surprised when you see a different defense on the field at Lucas Oil Stadium, as Urban Meyer will make the necessary adjustments. Ohio State has won 24 straight since Meyer took over and as a 2 |
|||||||
12-07-13 | Stanford v. Arizona State -3 | Top | 38-14 | Loss | -105 | 31 h 2 m | Show |
PAC-12 Championship 7:45 ET
Stanford at Arizona State, Sun Devil Stadium Tempe. AZ Sun Devils (-) over Cardinal- Arizona State comes into the PAC-12 Championship Game having won their last seven and never once has received the kind of media coverage like other top schools in the conference like Oregon, Stanford, USC and UCLA. Both clubs enter this game 10-2 and I wonder just who wants it more. The Cardinal have been here before and that counts for something but the excitement for the Sun Devils to get into the Rose Bowl has more significance. A couple of trends to help support for State is the the favorite is 5-0-1 inh the last six meetings and the home team is 3-0-1 ATS in the last four meetings. Finally, Stanford is 1-3-1 ATS in their last five meetings in Arizona State! Take the SUN DEVILS! |
|||||||
12-07-13 | Texas v. Baylor -15 | Top | 10-30 | Win | 100 | 24 h 11 m | Show |
Texas at Baylor 3:30 ET
Bears (-) over Longhorns- I wonder how many people are aware that if Texas should win this game and Oklahoma upsets Oklahoma State that Texas will be the Big-12 BCS representatives. I know one thing Mach Brown and his Longhorns know. So, my question to you a what can be called a championship game is the line where it is? We've been right-on with our 'calls' on and against the Bears taking Oklahoma State and TCU last week as winners. This time around the Bears have recovered from the 'shock of their BCS bubble being burst are ready to pound the Longhorns. Texas savaged what looked like a disastrous season and has won 17 of the last 20 meetings and they will probably bounce back in their bowl game, but, it's all the Bears today. Take BAYLOR |
|||||||
12-06-13 | Bowling Green +3.5 v. Northern Illinois | Top | 47-27 | Win | 100 | 79 h 56 m | Show |
MAC Championship Ford Field Detroit, MI
Bowling Green vs Northern Illinois 8:00 ET (Friday) Falcons (+) over Huskies- Here we go again trying to beat this Jordan Lynch. Golly, is he good. This is his fourth MAC Championship game and many of his teammates are fifth year seniors. In their four MAC Championship appearance Northern Illinois has won twice but is 0-4 ATS. Huskies quarterback Lynch is just so much of their offense that the Falcons defense to focus on. Bowling Green has the best defense in the MAC and rank 7th nationally in total defense. The 'number' tells me Vegas believes that the Falcons have a chance to win this one. Take BOWLING GREEN! |
|||||||
12-02-13 | New Orleans Saints v. Seattle Seahawks -4.5 | Top | 7-34 | Win | 100 | 11 h 12 m | Show |
New Orleans at Seattle 8:30 ET
Seahawks (-) over Saints- What am I supposed to say about this one? A match-up of two division leaders that will be the focus of all of America Monday night. New Orleans has the best passing quarterback in the NFC and he's up against the toughest home defense in the conference. The Saints enter this contest on a three game run only to be out done by the Seahawks six game streak. Seattle was last stopped by the Colts seven weeks ago. Brees has been brilliant on Monday night winning nine streak outs with a 123.6 passer rating in those games. Seattle has 16 interceptions and is +11 in turnover margin. At home the Seahawks rule. Take SEATTLE! |

12-01-13 | NY Giants v. Washington Redskins +1.5 | Top | 24-17 | Loss | -110 | 34 h 31 m | Show |
New York Giants at Washington 8:35 ET
Redskins (+) over Giants- Don't be afraid, I know, I saw it too. It's hard to believe that Robert Griffin III is the same player we saw last year or even the year before at Baylor. The Giants meanwhile lost their 'must win' game last week to Dallas (Megabucks Winner) at home and know their season is finished. These two have had disappointing years and we will see which group packs their bags and looks for next season or continues to play hard. After Monday's embarrassing performance no one believes Washington has anything left. The 49ers dominated them to the point of humiliation and professionals respond when placed in this position. Take the REDSKINS! |
|||||||
12-01-13 | Denver Broncos v. Kansas City Chiefs +6 | Top | 35-28 | Loss | -110 | 28 h 14 m | Show |
Denver at Kansas City 4:25 ET Chiefs (+) over Broncos- I know that all I'm going to hear all week on sports talk radio is about Peyton Manning not being able to play in the cold. I'm not so sure of that but I know we used the Chargers as my AFC Game of the Year winner last Sunday and now I expect Kansas City to gain the respect they need from the 'experts.' Manning's quick strikes did the Chiefs in two weeks ago and I am looking for Andy Reid to make the necessary adjustments and for the Chiefs defense to show itself. The Broncos has to be a little despondent over their second half performance against the Patriots and I believe that it will have a lingering effect. Take KANSAS CITY
|
|||||||
12-01-13 | Arizona Cardinals v. Philadelphia Eagles -3 | Top | 21-24 | Push | 0 | 25 h 55 m | Show |
Arizona at Philadelphia 1:00 ET
Eagles (-) over Cardinals- The world is all a glow after the Cardinals pounding of the Colts last week while the soaring Eagles rested (and took note, I'm sure). Philadelphia finally got they money off their backs with their first home win of the season and first home 'cover' in 13 tries. Very quietly the Eagles have emerged in the NFC East and have a shot to win the division. It took two months but they caught on to Brian Kelly's system and they have been among the toughest the last month. This game is for the birds...a mild surprise but a huge win. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
|||||||
11-30-13 | UCLA +3.5 v. USC | Top | 35-14 | Win | 100 | 30 h 13 m | Show |
UCLA at USC 8:00 ET
Bruins (+) over Trojans- We've done so well with and against this two clubs I sort of hate to see them meet but I believe that I have the winner anyway. Last week I played Arizona State over UCLA as a Game of the Year winner and the week before used USC over Stanford for a PAC-12 Game of Year Winner. Two bug game winners on consecutive weeks and now they meet. I love the Bruins coaching and believe they will bounce back from last weeks ambush when they were and underdog at home. This time getting points from the biggest rival they rise to the occasion. Take UCLA! |
|||||||
11-30-13 | Clemson v. South Carolina -4 | Top | 17-31 | Win | 100 | 28 h 25 m | Show |
Clemson at South Carolina 7:00 ET
Gamecocks (-) over Tigers- I love this rivalry and and the winner it produces for 'us' each year and this year is no different. Last season this two met at Clemson and the Gamecocks just dominated from start to finish in a 27-17 win. Conner Shaw 25-5 as a starter missed that contest and is looking forward closing his career with a huge win over their most hated opponent. The Tigers have scored 52, 55 and 59 points in their last three contests high-lighted by the -40.5 cover in their 52-6 win over 'powerful' Citadel following wins over Georgia Tech and Virginia...yeah, well welcome to SEC defense. Tajh Boyd has never beaten the Gamecocks and he won't win here either. Take SOUTH CAROLINA! |
|||||||
11-30-13 | Baylor v. TCU +14 | Top | 41-38 | Win | 100 | 26 h 3 m | Show |
Baylor at TCU 3:30 ET
Horned Frogs (+) over Bears- This season has been a major disappointment for Texas Christian as their 4-7 record would indicate as they are now going to a bowl for the first time since 2004. The Baylor Bears disappointing loss at Oklahoma State (Megabucks Winner) will have a lasting effect as the Bears national title hopes were smashed and I mean smashed as the nation's number one offense was shut down and their defense exposed. The Horned frogs have had a tough year but coach Gary Peterson has handed out suspensions and has his team ready once again. Look for a not so spirited Baylor squad to get caught here. Take TEXAS CHRISTIAN! |
|||||||
11-29-13 | Miami (Florida) v. Pittsburgh +3 | Top | 41-31 | Loss | -115 | 29 h 9 m | Show |
Miami at Pittsburgh 3:30 ET Friday
Panthers (+) over Hurricanes- As we stated before, the Miami Hurricanes just really weren't that good and they were exposed first against Florida State and then Duke and Virginia Tech. Pittsburgh on the other hand has gone the route we expected even winning as our 'High Roller' release over Notre Dame a few weeks ago and their falling to Duke the following week. Miami leads this series 22-9-1 having won the last seven meetings. It's of no consequence as the Panthers will want this one more. Take PITTSBURGH |
|||||||
11-25-13 | San Francisco 49ers v. Washington Redskins +6 | Top | 27-6 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 31 m | Show |
San Francisco at Washington 8:30 ET
Redskins (+) over 49ers- Oh Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy! I love this match-up! I wonder if the Niners are willing to trade Colin Kaepernick to Miami heads up for Ryan Tannehill. I wouldn't do it if I was the Dolphins and San Francisco is still trying to save face so I doubt they would do it either...'just sayin'. So a year later in Washington they are after Robert Griffin III scalp and that just because he's a Republican, his football play has everyone else on the warpath. I saw the 49ers last week against the Saints and even thought they can within a 'bad call' of winning on the field they were exposed in my eyes. A one dimension offense can't win in this day and age especially if its just the running game. Kaepernick has become a liability with his inaccurate passing. Redskins looking to put it together as San Francisco travels east for the second straight week. Take WASHINGTON! |
|||||||
11-24-13 | Dallas Cowboys +3 v. NY Giants | Top | 24-21 | Win | 100 | 42 h 10 m | Show |
Dallas at New York 4:25 ET
Cowboys (+) over Giants- As a life-long Giants fan and season's ticket holder since the early days at the old Yankee Stadium it pains me to have the Cowboys here. What really pains me is the way the New York Giants play football. All of New York is starting to feel and believe that the Giants are going to win out and play in the Super Host as the host team...HA! Not going to happen! The G-Men still have plenty of holes that need upgrading and the Cowboys enter off their Sunday night beating by New Orleans as they have had an extra week to prepare. The road team is 5-2 ATS in their last meetings. Take DALLAS! |
|||||||
11-24-13 | Pittsburgh Steelers v. Cleveland Browns -115 | Top | 27-11 | Loss | -115 | 39 h 56 m | Show |
Pittsburgh at Cleveland 1:00 ET
Browns (-) over Steelers- Can you remember the last time the Cleveland Browns were favored over the Pittsburgh Steelers...no, I can't either. I know I watched our Winner with the Steelers over the Lions last week and I knew while watching that winner that I would have the opposite side this week and los and behold, it's the Browns. Not only is the home team 5-2 ATS in their last seven meetings but Pittsburgh has lost 4-of-5 ATS in Cleveland. I just don't think the Steelers are as competitive as they have been in the past, their era in over. Take the BROWNS! |
|||||||
11-24-13 | San Diego Chargers +5 v. Kansas City Chiefs | Top | 41-38 | Win | 100 | 39 h 50 m | Show |
San Diego at Kansas City 1:00 ET
Chargers (+) over Chiefs- Well, the Kansas City Chiefs felt the sting of defeat as we predicted (Megabucks winner) and that's a difficult thing to handle this late in the season. This 'Bubble-burst' effect has impact more in football then any other sport and they have a full week to feel the pain. NFL teams the after a month a of play and a team losses it's first game and is favored by more then 4-points next time out are 3-13 ATS when facing an opponent off a loss. It may seem like a lot of crap but ML put plenty of work into that and I appreciate the stat. Add that Chargers Phillip Rivers is 4-1-1 ATS as a division road dog. But, most of all I love this spot for the Chargers. Take SAN DIEGO! |
|||||||
11-24-13 | Carolina Panthers v. Miami Dolphins +5 | Top | 20-16 | Win | 100 | 39 h 40 m | Show |
Carolina at Miami 1:00 ET
Dolphins (+) over Panthers- We have been on a great run with and against the Carolina Panthers and are off they 'easy' win over New England. The Panthers have now won six straight with the defense leading the way allowing only 12.8 points per contest and haven't allow more then 24 in any single game this season. Carolina is in a classic spot to let down after their huge win in the National spotlight Monday night over New England. These two have met four time and the Dolphins have won all four. In and ambush it's MIAMI! |
|||||||
11-23-13 | Baylor v. Oklahoma State +10 | Top | 17-49 | Win | 100 | 31 h 35 m | Show |
Baylor at Oklahoma State 8:00 ET
Cowboys (+) over Bears- Oh Boy, I hope that I'm not getting caught in a trap here. The baylor bears have more then shown that they belong in the spotlight but are they really supposed to be this big a favorite on the road against a good, very good Oklahoma State team. They were 17 point favorites over Oklahoma and made them look and Division II school. Baylor is averaging 61 points and 685 yards per contest which are both all-time marks. The Cowboys are 6-1 ATS in this series and the Beat are 0-7 ATS in the last seven meetings. Take OKLAHOMA STATE! |
|||||||
11-23-13 | Missouri v. Ole Miss +3 | Top | 24-10 | Loss | -115 | 31 h 24 m | Show |
Missouri at Mississippi 7:00 ET
Rebels (+) over Tigers- I know that the Missouri Tigers are good, very good team and have plenty of flash butt it is a Rebels team that has won four straight averaging 43 points a game. The Tigers have been impressive all year going 8-1-1 ATS losing only to South Carolina as they blew 17 point fourth quarter lead. Missouri will have the return of quarterback James Franklin who has missed four weeks. I don't expect him to be able to return to form right off and expect him to be 'game rusty.' Rebels continue hot play. Tigers hold the series advantage 5-1 but this is their first meeting in the SEC. Take MISSISSIPPI! |
|||||||
11-23-13 | Arizona State -125 v. UCLA | Top | 38-33 | Win | 100 | 31 h 15 m | Show |
Arizona State at UCLA 7:00 ET
Sun Devils (-) over Bruins- it seems a little strange that with both teams at 8-2 and UCLA at home that Arizona State would be the favorite here. It appears even stranger when we realize that UCLA is ranked #14 and The Sun Devils are ranked #22 yet the lower ranked team is once again the favorite out of Las Vegas. A win here for State puts them in the PAC-12 Championship game for the South Division. Last week UCLA crushed Washington as five of their six touchdowns were scored by defensive players. Arizona State is one of only five teams in the nation that is ranked in the top-20 in total offense and total defense. The numbers just don't add-up. Take ARIZONA STATE! |
|||||||
11-23-13 | BYU v. Notre Dame | Top | 13-23 | Loss | -110 | 27 h 49 m | Show |
Brigham Young at Notre Dame 3:30 ET
Cougars (+) over Fighting Irish- After what I saw two weeks ago was an over-matched BYU squad pounded by Wisconsin in a 27-17 loss. Using Pittsburgh over Notre Dane that same night doesn't change the image of the Cougars hopeless effort against the Badgers. This is Notre Dame's final home game of the season and emotions will be running high...too high. These family day games do not end well on the field as the distractions are many and constant, college students and players lose their focus and in the end the game. Cougars small revenge for last season loss the Irish 17-14 this time 'turn-about-is-fair-play.' Take BRIGHAM YOUNG! |
|||||||
11-21-13 | New Orleans Saints v. Atlanta Falcons +9.5 | Top | 17-13 | Win | 100 | 53 h 9 m | Show |
New Orleans at Atlanta 8:30 ET
Falcons (+) over Saints- It's getting real difficult to back Atlanta as how far the mighty have fallen. The Falcons have dropped four straight and have issues as well as injuries to contend with. Now, the face the Saints who have won five of the last six in the series and 12 of the last 15 meetings. Matt Ryan is under the gun as the birds on run for 73 yards per game and all his big-time receivers are out as he has already equaled his career high with 14 interceptions. Still, with the Saints only 2-2 on the road and off their improbable win over the 49ers a let-down can be understood. Atlanta fighting for 'pride' if the have any. Take FALCONS! |
|||||||
11-18-13 | New England Patriots v. Carolina Panthers -1 | Top | 20-24 | Win | 100 | 31 h 59 m | Show |
New England at Carolina 8:40 ET
Panthers (-) over Patriots- This truly is a great match-up on Monday Night and it's about time. The fact that these clubs are in a different class from which we have been subjected to the last month or so doesn't make finding the winner any easier. I mean the stats and trends supporting both side would drive a wall street broke crazy. Monday nights have been goal to the Patriots and their backers as they are 11-1 straight-up including their last five but Brady is 29-12-1 ATS as a career dog. But, New England is 0-3-1 ATS in their last four following a bye and NFL teams that beat the 49ers the week prior are 10-0 the next week. See, and their more, more crap to confuse us. Well, I've had my side all along and I'm sticking with the winner. Take CAROLINA! |
|||||||
11-17-13 | Kansas City Chiefs v. Denver Broncos -7.5 | Top | 17-27 | Win | 100 | 33 h 51 m | Show |
Kansas City at Denver 8:30 ET
Broncos (-) over Chiefs- What a match-up! Here are the undefeated (9-0) Kansas City Chiefs who have yet to beat a team with a winning record up against the Denver Broncos (8-1) who have beaten one team with a winning record. The Broncos enter this fray with plenty of distractions from their head coach having heart surgery to Peyton Manning's supposed it injury. Kansas City has it's own issues as Dwayne Bowe was busted for pot last week. I can give you mountains of reason we should have Kansas City from coaching advantage with Andy Reid after a bye to dog status in conference play. But the fact is Manning can run the offense blind-folded and the number is ridiculously high. Manning is 9-1 in his career against the Chiefs. I want the winner. Take DENVER! |
|||||||
11-17-13 | San Francisco 49ers +3.5 v. New Orleans Saints | Top | 20-23 | Win | 100 | 29 h 34 m | Show |
San Francisco at New Orleans 4:25 ET
49er's (+) over Saints- I know that San Francisco was the favorite to return to the Super Bowl in the NFC but they look like an 'impossible' take off their dreadful performance against Carolina (Power Play Winner). What makes this appear even more difficult is that the Saints have won and covered 14 straight games at home with Payton and Brees the common factor. The Niners had a mere 46 yards through the air and rank dead last in passing. Here is the only way I see San Francisco winning this game is to control the line of scrimmage and run the ball against a Saints defense that allow nearly five-yards per carry. The Super Dome streak ends here. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
|||||||
11-17-13 | San Diego Chargers v. Miami Dolphins +3 | Top | 16-20 | Win | 100 | 27 h 12 m | Show |
San Diego at Miami 1:00 ET
Dolphins (+) over Chargers- A pair of 4-5 clubs they have blown numerous opportunities two have stayed in playoff contention but the loser here without a doubt is most likely done. The Dolphins have lost four of five and have just as many problems off the field as they do on it. Phillip Rivers is having a career year with 71.6 completion percentage while Ryan Tannehill has taken 37 sacks, most in the NFL. San Diego hasn't won in Miami since 1982...that's 31 years ago. Take MIAMI! |
|||||||
11-17-13 | NY Jets v. Buffalo Bills +2 | Top | 14-37 | Win | 100 | 25 h 48 m | Show |
New York Jets at Buffalo 1:00 ET
Bills (+) over Jets- I love when a team dominates in their last game entering their bye weak, it gives them twp weeks to pat themselves on their backs and feel good about each other. The problem is that they never really return to square one. The Jets are in just a position after pounding the New Orleans Saints and now invade Buffalo who has dropped their last three and are ready for a win big time. The Bills defense can cause Geno Smith problems/ Take the BILLS! |
|||||||
11-16-13 | Stanford v. USC +4.5 | Top | 17-20 | Win | 100 | 32 h 56 m | Show |
Stanford at USC 8:00 ET
Trojans (+) over Cardinal- For the second year in-a-row Stanford knocked Oregon off it's perch and must now visit Southern Cal and play a team that looks as though they have found themselves. The Cardinal have won four straight in this series and take their power run game into the Coliseum. Stanford's offensive line dominated the Ducks for three quarters and control most of the game. After an exhausting and emotion performance getting back to that point will be difficult especially after having 10 days to pat yourself on your back. The Trojans have the PAC-12 second-ranked run defense and their offense is fast enough to cause Stanford problems. Take SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA! |
|||||||
11-16-13 | Georgia +4 v. Auburn | Top | 38-43 | Loss | -115 | 27 h 0 m | Show |
Georgia at Auburn 3:30 ET
Bulldogs (+) over Tigers- If we put a line on this game on September 1st the Bulldogs would have been double-digit favorites but as of now with their three losses they have very little chance of reaching the conference title game. Not so much for Auburn who needs only to win here to face Alabama for the SEC West crown. The Tigers have the nation's #3 rushing attack averaging 320 on the ground. Georgia is getting healthy with the return of Todd Gurley and their rush defense is amount the toughest in the country. This one may come down to the final possession and regardless it's the Bulldogs here. Take GEORGIA! |
|||||||
11-16-13 | Oklahoma State v. Texas +3 | Top | 38-13 | Loss | -105 | 26 h 44 m | Show |
Oklahoma State at Texas 3:30 ET
Longhorns (+) over Cowboys- Talk about a team controlling it's own dynasty the Oklahoma State Cowboys just need to win their remaining three games against three ranked teams Texas, Baylor and Oklahoma. The 'Boys could take the Horn's for granted here if they are looking toward Baylor or Oklahoma. If the Cowboys can pull that off they will head to a BCS bowl game but they have first to deal with a major obstacle in the Texas Longhorns who are trying to salvage what appeared to be a lost season a little over a month ago. Emotion his a huge part of college football and I believe the Longhorns a are rallying around Mack Brown. Take TEXAS! |
|||||||
11-15-13 | Washington +3 v. UCLA | Top | 31-41 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 18 m | Show |
Washington at U.C.L.A. 9:00 ET
Huskies (+) over Bruins- When I first saw this match-up two weeks ago I was sure I that I would have the Bruins and thet have done nothing to disappoint me. Last week they went on the road and defeated a tough Arizona squad and now they return home with three straight wins and a quarterback that has completed 74% of his passes in that span. UCLA leads the series 38-30-2 and has won 11 of the last 14. Now, that's when I became concerned when the odds-makers put them out under a field goal. Jim Mora has done a great job with the Bruins but don't sleep on the Huskies leader Steve Sarkisian who has them on the rise. The line tell me Vegas likes the visitor...take WASHINGTON! |
|||||||
11-14-13 | Indianapolis Colts v. Tennessee Titans +3 | Top | 30-27 | Push | 0 | 9 h 20 m | Show |
Indianapolis at Tennessee 8:25 ET
Titans (+) over Colts- Okay, so the shine is off the Indianapolis Colts and Andrew Luck as they just dropped their last outing against St. Louis and they were never in it. In the meantime Tennessee loses to the formerly winless Jaguars and also lost quarterback Jake Locker for the season (is that bad?). The Titans will have to get back to protecting the football as they have turned it over 13 times in their last five games after not committing a turnover in their first four. Ryan Fitzpatrick will look for his first win as a starter, he lost to the Chiefs and Seahawks two of the toughest defenses in the NFL. The Colts have won the last three meetings by a combined 10 points but the home teams is 5-2 ATS in the last seven. Take TENNESSEE! |
