11-13-13 | Ball State +7.5 v. Northern Illinois | Top | 27-48 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 36 m | Show |
Ball State at Northern Illinois 8:00 ET
Cardinals (+) over Huskies- Northern Illinois has been very visible to the media and public this season being lead by Jordan Lynch are up against the 'under-the-radar' Ball State Cardinals whose only loss was to North Texas are blowing a 20-3 lead. Since then they have seven straight led by quarterback Keith Wenning. The Huskies have the nation's longest home wining streak at 24. northern Illinois may be more of a one man show but the Cardinals split the load between Jahwan Edwards and Horactio Banks and they all have accounted for 46 touchdowns. I like their balance...take BALL STATE! |
|||||||
11-10-13 | Dallas Cowboys +7 v. New Orleans Saints | Top | 17-49 | Loss | -110 | 30 h 41 m | Show |
Cowboys (+) over Saints- New Orleans fell to the Jets in New York last week and are happy to return to the Super dome where that are 4-0 this season while the Cowboys are 1-3 on the road. These clubs have much in common as their quarterback are ranked 2 and 3 in touchdown passes with Brees leading the way with 21 and Romo at 20. The running game for both squads has been suspect but Dallas is 11-0 when DeMarco Murray runs the ball 18 times or more. New Orleans has dropped two of their last three and might still be without Darren Sproles who suffered a concession last week and Jonathan Vilma is out for the remainder of the year. It what most likely be a shoot-out the Cowboys should be tough competition. Take DALLAS!
|
|||||||
11-10-13 | Denver Broncos v. San Diego Chargers +7 | Top | 28-20 | Loss | -105 | 75 h 55 m | Show |
Denver at San Diego 4:25 ET
Chargers (+) over Broncos- Last Sunday while the Broncos were taking the day off the San Diego Chargers showed a lack of intestinal fortitude when the decided to play for a tie from the six-inch line with only :03 seconds remaining and got what they deserved in their overtime loss to the Redskins. You have got to show some guts and try and win a game in that situation. Denver had a week off but it was not a good week for the Broncos as head coach John Fox is facing heart surgery and will be replace by Defensive co-coordinator Jack Del Rio. The impact of this loss won't be a great as expected for Denver as Peyton Manning came handle the offense on his own. But, the effect on the team overall can not be positive. San Diego's Phillip Rivers is having a stellar season and will keep this one close enough to win it here. Take the CHARGERS! |
|||||||
11-10-13 | Seattle Seahawks v. Atlanta Falcons +4.5 | Top | 33-10 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 58 m | Show |
Seattle at Atlanta 1:00 ET
Falcons (+) over Seahawks- The Seahawks are primed for a beating, (a loss is what I mean) and the Falcons are in need of a win the the worst of ways. Remember what happened the last time these played on this field...I'm sure Seattle does! A contest they lost after recovering from being 20 points down in the second half only to lose on a final-play 49 yard field goal. Maybe Atlanta is looking to run (Dead last in rushing) against this Seahawks defense that has allowed more then 200 yards in the last two games. Regardless Tony Gonzalez in back and Ryan will look to protect the ball away from the Seattle secondary. It will really not be an upset as Atlanta has won the last four in the series. Take the FALCONS |
|||||||
11-09-13 | Notre Dame v. Pittsburgh +4.5 | Top | 21-28 | Win | 100 | 25 h 19 m | Show |
Notre Dame at Pittsburgh 8:00 ET
Panthers (+) over Fighting Irish- Notre Dame enters this contest having beaten Pittsburgh three straight in this series and the Panthers have dropped three of their last four. The Irish are off an unimpressive win over Navy and lost three key defensive players injured against the Midshipman. Notre Dame has lost three linebackers since the start of the season and it's beginning to take it's toll. This is the biggest game on the Panthers schedule and they will be ready. Take PITTSBURGH! |
|||||||
11-09-13 | BYU +7.5 v. Wisconsin | Top | 17-27 | Loss | -103 | 50 h 25 m | Show |
Brigham Young at Wisconsin 3:30 ET
Cougars (+) over Badgers- This is a tough spot for the Badgers is remained focused as they play on non-conference for in the middle of their Big-Ten schedule. Wisconsin's defense which allows only 15 points per game will be tested by the Cougars high power offense that averages 511 yards per contest ranking 12th in the nation. The Badgers defense has held five of it's eight opponents to 10 points or less and has not lost since it's defeat to Ohio State in late September. Both head coaches have face each other in the past as Wisconsin head coach Gary Anderson was at Utah State. Bronco Mendenhall know how to to prepare his team away from home as the Cougars have covered six straight on the road. Take BYU! |
|||||||
11-07-13 | Oregon v. Stanford +10.5 | Top | 20-26 | Win | 100 | 33 h 23 m | Show |
Oregon at Stanford 9:00 ET
Cardinal (+) over Ducks- This might be the best regular season Thursday night match-up of all time as #2 Oregon travels to play at #6 Stanford in a game that most likely means a chance for Oregon to reach the BCS Championship game. We are all aware that the Ducks have revenge in their corner as it was Stanford that ended the Ducks title hopes last year with a 27-21 over win in Oregon. Oregon has won nine of the last 11 meetings but the teams have split the last four and the Cardinals have won their last 13 home games. The Ducks have won all their games by at least 21 points and have had a weeks rest to prepare. I could present you with trends for both teams that will do nothing but confuse the issue. The point for me is that the actual pressure of this contest falls on Oregon as Stanford has already suffered a loss (at Utah) and will look for their second straight upset in the series. Take STANFORD! |
|||||||
11-07-13 | Washington Redskins v. Minnesota Vikings +3 | Top | 27-34 | Win | 100 | 49 h 33 m | Show |
Washington at Minnesota 8:40 ET
Vikings (+) over Redskins- The Minnesota Vikings finally showed up on Sunday and rewarded us with a Vegas Insiders (Highest Rated) pointspread winner, but they broke down in the final moments to let the victory slip away. Meanwhile, in Washington the Redskins defeated San Diego in overtime as the Chargers didn't have the 'balls' to try and win the game from the six inch line with :03 seconds left. The Vikings have yet to win a game states-side yet as their only win came when they beat the Steelers in London. Minnesota has won two of the last three meetings, all in Washington. Adrian Peterson came to life last when and playing against a defense that surrenders nearly 32 points a game should help his rushing yardage increase. Christian Ponder is still the Vikings best option at quarterback and playing a home is a big edge this time around. Take MINNESOTA! |
|||||||
11-03-13 | Indianapolis Colts v. Houston Texans +2.5 | Top | 27-24 | Loss | -110 | 33 h 20 m | Show |
Indianapolis at Houston 5:30 ET
Texans (+) over Colts- Having used the Texans as my Major Shocker two weeks ago as we collected the CASH after their one point loss against Kansas City, their fifth straight defeat I have no problems coming back with them here. Both squads are coming off a bye but it helps Houston more as they are going with Casey Keenum at quarterback in his second NFL start and the extra practice time will be of assistance. Having used the Colts as a huge winner over Denver two weeks ago (their last game) was a joy but the loss of Reggie Wayne will hurt. Houston has not quit and will put forth a big-time effort here. Take HOUSTON! |
|||||||
11-03-13 | New Orleans Saints v. NY Jets +6.5 | Top | 20-26 | Win | 100 | 26 h 37 m | Show |
New Orleans at N.Y. Jets 1:00 ET
Jets (+) over Saints- We have been right-on with and against the Jets all season and with is another spot where it looks like they should get killed. But, wait a second, I understand that the Saints have won six of the last seven in this series but, you should understand how a team prepares after getting killed the way New York did last week in Cincinnati. The Jets are 4-0 both straight-up and ATS when getting less the seven points at home. New Orleans isn't the same team when they play out doors as they are 7-13 ATS. Look for this one to come down to the final whistle and for the points to come into play. Take the J-E-T-S! |
|||||||
11-03-13 | Kansas City Chiefs v. Buffalo Bills +4 | Top | 23-13 | Loss | -115 | 25 h 48 m | Show |
Kansas City at Buffalo 1:00 ET
Bills (+) over Chiefs- The undefeated Kansas City Chiefs invade Buffalo and this one could get ugly if the number of walking wounded don't return for the Bills. Buffalo has dropped three of four but have been competitive and over the years they seem to have the Chiefs number. Buffalo has one 10 of 11 home games against Kansas City with the last loss happening in 1986. Heck, I was still living in New York at the time. The Chiefs boast of the league top defense but have not played the toughest of schedules as they won only two games last season. It's just a good spot for the Bills and they might surprise many with a win here. Take BUFFALO! |
|||||||
11-02-13 | Georgia v. Florida +3 | Top | 23-20 | Push | 0 | 50 h 9 m | Show |
Georgia vs Florida 3:30 ET
Gators (+) over Bulldogs- Two disappointing 4-3 straight-up and 'money burners' are clashing in Jacksonville in what is considered the 'World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.' Injuries have take it's toll on both these clubs who started in the Top-10 and now neither in ranked in the Top-25. Both of these clubs enter this contest with rest as they had byes last week and that favors Florida more then Georgia. The Gators are 10-1 straight-up with a week rest in the last 11 during the regular season. Defense is the name of the Game for the Gators and they will take advantage of the Bulldogs lack of it. Take FLORIDA! |
|||||||
10-31-13 | Cincinnati Bengals v. Miami Dolphins +3 | Top | 20-22 | Win | 100 | 50 h 45 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Miami 8:20 ET
Dolphins (+) over Bengals- Two teams who are running in different directions clash in Miami where the Dolphins losers of four straight host the Cincinnati Bengals winners of four straight. It has actually been short of six since Miami last walked in the winning circle as they had a bye week mixed in with their loses. The Dolphins problems stem for youth at quarterback as Tannyhill has been sacked a NFL high 32 times. Still, if Miami can maintain possession and not turn the ball over they can win here. This is just a great spot for the Dolphins to pull off the upset...take MIAMI! |
|||||||
10-27-13 | Atlanta Falcons v. Arizona Cardinals -1 | Top | 13-27 | Win | 100 | 29 h 3 m | Show |
Atlanta at Arizona 4:25 ET
Cardinals over Falcons- The Arizona Cardinals have managed to win two of three games played as hosts while Atlanta has yet to win on the road going 0-2. The Falcons are just not the same team we saw go to the NFC Championship game last season as they have lost key personnel on defense, ( top pass rusher John Abraham (10 sacks) is now with the Cardinals and injuries have effected their passing game as Julio Jones and now Roddy White and running back Steven Jackson are still hurting. Take ARIZONA |
|||||||
10-27-13 | NY Giants v. Philadelphia Eagles -5 | Top | 15-7 | Loss | -105 | 25 h 44 m | Show |
New York Giants at Philadelphia 1:00 ET
Eagles (-) over Giants- It just gets uglier every week between these two! The beaten-favorite (-3) Eagles scored only three points against Dallas at home and are playing a team that just secured their first win of the season on Monday Night against Minnesota. Regardless of how bad they looked the Giants still can't play. Philly opened a 6-point favorite and it will make a dramatic drop before the kickoff.. Bet this one late and take advantage of the line move. Take PHILADELPHIA |
|||||||
10-26-13 | Penn State v. Ohio State -14.5 | Top | 14-63 | Win | 100 | 32 h 38 m | Show |
Penn State at Ohio State 8:00 ET
Buckeyes (-) over Nittany Lions- The undefeated (6-0) and No. 4 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes bring a 19 game win streak to Ohio Stadium as the host Penn State. The Lions will be starting true freshman Christian Hackenberg who will be seeing the 'Big Horseshoe' and that can be daunting. Ohio State has covered nine of their last 11 while Penn State is just 1-5 ATS in their last six as double-digit dogs. Having played 'against' the Buckeyes and won with Iowa last week I have no problem laying the wood here. Take OHIO STATE! |
|||||||
10-26-13 | Texas v. TCU -130 | Top | 30-7 | Loss | -130 | 48 h 58 m | Show |
Texas at TCU 7:30 ET
Horned Frogs (+) over Longhorns- The Texas Longhorns have a long history of beating up on Texas Christian winning 61 of 82 decisions with one tie. One of the more recent wins for the Frogs came last season as they prevailed 20-13. Texas has now won three straight including a huge upset win over Oklahoma and they have had two weeks to pat themselves on the back. TCU is only 3-4 but they are 3-1 at home and having seen Case McCoy last year they know what they are facing. Take TCU! |
|||||||
10-26-13 | South Carolina +3 v. Missouri | Top | 27-24 | Win | 100 | 31 h 8 m | Show |
South Carolina at Missouri 7:00 ET
Gamecocks (+) over Tigers- The No. 5 and undefeated (6-0) Missouri Tigers will not be able to sneak up on anybody else this season and have a foe off a horrible loss. South Carolina felt last week to Tennessee as quarterback Conner Shaw left the game with a knee injury. His replacement Dylan Thompson is more then capable and running back Mike Davis will pick up the slack. The Gamecocks will rely heavily on their 21st ranked defense against a Missouri offense that averages 513 yards and 44.3 points per contest. Both clubs will be going with their back-up QB's but South Carolina will rebound here. Take GAMECOCKS! |
|||||||
10-26-13 | Utah v. USC -5.5 | Top | 3-19 | Win | 100 | 19 h 22 m | Show |
Trojans (-) over Utes- Two conference teams with the same 4-3 record and yet USC opened a strong touchdown favorite. Last week the Trojans failed to convert on any of 11 third down conversions as Notre Dame shut them down in the second half. 'We not only had the Utes two weeks ago when the defeated Stanford but we also had 'against' them last week when the fell to Arizona. Once again Utah is in the deep and USC will take advantage. Take the TROJANS!
|
|||||||
10-25-13 | Boise State v. BYU -7 | Top | 20-37 | Win | 100 | 56 h 30 m | Show |
Boise State at BYU 8:00 ET
Cougars (-) over Broncos- My instinct tells me this is a 'strong' number as BYU is 0-3 lifetime in this series and the only score in last years' 7-6 win by the Broncos was off a 'pick-six' by a defensive lineman. Boise State lost their starting quarterback last week against Nevada and back-up Grant Hedrick was more then capable. BYU is ranked 14th on offense and averages 503 yards per game while the Broncos have fallen everywhere especially defense. Take BYU! |
|||||||
10-20-13 | Denver Broncos v. Indianapolis Colts +7 | Top | 33-39 | Win | 100 | 31 h 53 m | Show |
Denver at Indianapolis 8:30 ET
Colts (+) over Broncos- After posting a Megabucks winner with San Diego Monday night over Indianapolis and seeing Denver sleep walk through their win over Jacksonville I believe the Colts are primed for a great effort. Trend wise the Colts are 13-2 ATS as dogs of 8 or less. The Broncos have dropped four straight to Indy with no 'covers' and are 0-3 ATS against the AFC South. Andrew Luck is 9-2 at home and 6-0 after a loss. There is only one side for me...Take the COLTS! |
|||||||
10-20-13 | Houston Texans +7 v. Kansas City Chiefs | Top | 16-17 | Win | 100 | 76 h 57 m | Show |
Houston at Kansas City 1:00 ET
Texans (+) over Chiefs- If there was ever a game to be labeled a 'Major Shocker' it's this winner between the 2-4 Texans (lost four straight) and the 6-0 Chiefs who are 5-1 ATS. Houston is 0-6 ATS in their last six road games. Houston has committed a league high in turnovers and Kansas City is leading the NFL in take-a-ways. These number will move toward the center as the Texans will focus on protecting the ball. Houston has out-gained it's opponents by an NFL high 143 yards per game and just need to hold on to the ball to pull off the upset here. Take TEXANS! |
|||||||
10-20-13 | Dallas Cowboys v. Philadelphia Eagles -2.5 | Top | 17-3 | Loss | -120 | 23 h 31 m | Show |
Dallas at Philadelphia 1:00 ET
Eagles (-) over Cowboys- A pair of 3-3 clubs tied for the NFC East lead clash in what should be a high scoring affair. Nick Foles who was the NFC Offensive Player of the Week is aided by the league top rushing game averaging 179 yards per game. LeSean McCoy is the NFL leading rusher and Dallas will mostly be without their top pass rusher in DeMarcus Ware and running back DeMarco Murray. There are a number of trends provided by ML's Playbook that give us the Eagles. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
|||||||
10-19-13 | Florida State -3 v. Clemson | Top | 51-14 | Win | 101 | 30 h 16 m | Show |
Florida State at Clemson 8:00 ET
Seminoles (-) over Tigers- I'm wondering if the Clemson Tigers were looking ahead as they slept-walked through their game last week against Boston College. In each of the last four years this contest has determined the division champion and this season it has more significance then ever. Clemson enters this battle 6-0 and 4-0 in the ACC and is ranked #4 in the land while Florida State at 5-0 and 2-0 in ACC is ranked #5. Yet, the odds-makers see the Seminoles as about a field goal favorite and the public will you you a chance to lay less if you wait. There is way too much 'interest' in Clemson. They beat Georgia, so what! Florida State hasn't won at Clemson since 2001 and the home team has won 10 of the last 11 meetings. And, still Vegas likes Florida State...Okay, Take SEMINOLES! |
|||||||
10-19-13 | Wisconsin v. Illinois +14.5 | Top | 56-32 | Loss | -110 | 56 h 37 m | Show |
Wisconsin at Illinois 8:00 ET
Illini (+) over Badgers- Last week we posted Wisconsin a blowout winner over Northwestern and with week they invade Champaign, Illinois to play a team they have defeated seven of the last eight times they've met although the all-time series is tied 36-36-7. Illinois has had an extra week to prepare off their humbling loss at Nebraska and have lost 15 straight Big-Ten contests are seeking their first conference win of the season in two years. The Illini may have trouble winning here but they will keep it close. Take ILLINOIS! |
|||||||
10-19-13 | USC +3 v. Notre Dame | Top | 10-14 | Loss | -100 | 31 h 57 m | Show |
USC at Notre Dame 7:30 ET
Trojans (+) over Fighting Irish- It's already been a disappointing season for both these clubs as they enter this contest 4-2 with FBS dreams gone. One strange factor in this game is that USC has won five straight in South Bend dating back to 2001. It's been three full weeks since Lane Kiffin was given the 'boot' and interim coach Ed Orgeron has used more players on offense that has invigorated the Trojans who have revenge on their minds off last years home loss to the Irish. USC's defense is just too quick for the plotting Notre Dame offense. Take SOUTHERN CAL. |
|||||||
10-13-13 | Washington Redskins +6 v. Dallas Cowboys | Top | 16-31 | Loss | -115 | 31 h 15 m | Show |
Washington at Dallas 8:30 ET
Redskins (+) over Cowboys- After what we saw last Sunday with the Cowboys faltering in the final stages of a game they could have won against Denver It is difficult to see Dallas coming back strong. The point spread history of this match-up is very one sided as the Redskins have have 'covered' the number their last six trips to Dallas and they are 13-3 ATS in the last 16 meetings overall. Tony Romo who has 19 touchdown passes and only two interceptions in his last six home games is off his career high in yardage as he passed for 506 yards against the Broncos but turned the ball over when it counted most. Washington's extra time to prepare for this huge rivalry contest give them the edge. Take REDSKINS! |
|||||||
10-13-13 | New Orleans Saints v. New England Patriots -130 | Top | 27-30 | Win | 100 | 28 h 22 m | Show |
New Orleans at New England 4:25 ET
Patriots (-) over Saints- With two of the NFL's all-time leading passers Drew Brees and Tom Brady facing each other my first thought is that their will be plenty of scoring. Upon further review I see that the Saints have not allowed more then 18 points in any game to date and New England is 24th on offense. This week Rob Gronkowski is set to return and Danny Amendola is back, so Brady will have more familiar targets. In a mild surprise (They are the favorite) the Patriots will pull this one out. Take NEW ENGLAND! |
|||||||
10-13-13 | Carolina Panthers +3 v. Minnesota Vikings | Top | 35-10 | Win | 100 | 73 h 0 m | Show |
Carolina at Minnesota 1:00 ET
Panthers (+) over Vikings- A pair of 1-3 clubs go at it in Minnesota where the home team is 4-1 in this series with the visitors only win coming by the Vikings at Carolina last season. We played against Carolina last week in Arizona and I have no problems coming back with them here. Minnesota who is worried about their quarterbacking situation has allowed 34,31,31 and 27 points against some of the NFL's weakest offenses. Both these teams are coming off 'inside-out' games where the loser had more yards then the winner. For Carolina they out-gained the Cardinals by over 150 yards and were beaten and the Vikings were out-gained by the Steelers and won. This time it's all CAROLINA! |
|||||||
10-13-13 | Philadelphia Eagles v. Tampa Bay Buccaneers +3 | Top | 31-20 | Loss | -115 | 25 h 31 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Tampa Bay 1:00 ET
Buccaneers (+) over Eagles- The news just seems to get worse for the Buccaneers with each passing day. Starting with the fact that they have lost nine of their last 10 and five straight at home dating back to last season but they have internal problems as well as a staff infection outbreak. Quarterback Josh Freeman was given his outright release after starting the better part of three season and second year coach Greg Schiano is under fire as troubles mount. Tampa Bay will most likely make good use of Doug Martin and try and protect rookie quarterback Mike Glennon who are lucky enough to up against the NFL/s 30th ranked defense. It's time for the Bucs to enter the win column Sunday. Take TAMPA BAY! |
|||||||
10-12-13 | Texas A&M v. Ole Miss +6.5 | Top | 41-38 | Win | 100 | 56 h 26 m | Show |
Texas A&M at Mississippi 8:30 ET
Rebels over Aggies- The Mississippi Rebels opened their season with three straight wins including a pounding of Texas but have now dropped their last two contests on the road to Alabama and Auburn. Texas A&M of course has 'Johnny Football' and a prolific offense that has scored first in 17 of their last 18 games. The Problem for the Aggies is that their defense is ranked dead last in the SEC and allow 215 yards rushing per game. The Rebels averaged 38 points in their three wins before running into a stone wall at Alabama. Hungry for a win after two embarrassing performance it's time to take MISSISSIPPI! |
|||||||
10-12-13 | Michigan v. Penn State +3 | Top | 40-43 | Win | 100 | 27 h 59 m | Show |
Michigan at Penn State 5:00 ET
Nittany Lions (+) over Wolverines- Tough spot for Penn State as they enter this contest off a terrible loss to Indiana and they are facing a team that has yet to allow a rushing touchdown. Last weeks loss to the Hoosiers are what sends us to the Lions this week as they are 5-0 ATS after straight-up losses. Penn State is also is 7-2 ATS in their last nine at 'Happy Valley' and have developed a wide receiver in Allen Robinson who is 7th in the nation at 124 yards per game. At home take PENN STATE! |
|||||||
10-12-13 | Northwestern v. Wisconsin -10 | Top | 6-35 | Win | 100 | 25 h 58 m | Show |
Northwestern at Wisconsin 3:30 ET
Badgers (-) over Wildcats- Okay, let us agree that last Saturday's point spread loss by Northwestern to Ohio State may have been the worst 'bad beat' of ALL-TIME! Wisconsin (3-2, 1-1) is off a bye week and they are 5-0 when rested and the Wildcats have got to be hurting and emotionally drained after their all-out effort was denied last week. The Badgers average over 300 yards rushing and have allowed only 3.3 points in their three wins. Take WISCONSIN! |
|||||||
10-10-13 | San Diego State v. Air Force +4.5 | Top | 27-20 | Loss | -110 | 27 h 26 m | Show |
San Diego State at Air Force 9:00 ET
Falcons (+) over the Aztecs- It's the same old story for the 'Fly Boys' who average under 100 passing game. It's the ground troops that lead the Air Force as they rush for 285 yards per game. The Falcons have been a bad bet against the number of late going 5-14 ATS in their 19 lined games. San Diego State is coming off a huge overtime win against Nevada scoring 51 points at home but have allowed 29 points on the road. Look for the Falcons to fly high over the Aztecs. Take AIR FORCE! |
|||||||
10-10-13 | NY Giants +8 v. Chicago Bears | Top | 21-27 | Win | 100 | 19 h 11 m | Show |
New York Giants at Chicago 8:30 ET
Giants (+) over Bears- Being a 'lifetime' New York Giants season's ticket holder it pains me to witness what is happening on the field. This team hasn't even been 'presentable' in any of their losses. They have allowed at least 31 points in their first five games and have only five sacks. They are minus 13 in turnovers and average a league low 65 yards rushing per game. Manning has 12 interceptions and 15 sacks while surrendering 36.4 points per game. Still, their must be some professional pride in them somewhere and the Bears haven't shown the ability to blow anybody out at home. Take NEW YORK! |
|||||||
10-06-13 | Denver Broncos v. Dallas Cowboys +9 | Top | 51-48 | Win | 100 | 29 h 47 m | Show |
Denver at Dallas 4:25 ET
Cowboys (+) over Broncos- People are starting to talk, talking about how the Denver Broncos could go undefeated as they average 44.8 points after four games. It might appear that the Cowboys defense that surrendered 506 yards to the Chargers last week will be easy pickens' for Peyton Manning. The Broncos are so hot they have won 15 straight regular season games each by seven points or more. Dallas is 2-2 on the season but 2-0 at home and are in a perfect spot to upend the Broncos. Tony Romo is finally playing like the superstar he is paid like, he's at 72.4 % and has eight touchdowns with only one interception. Watch-out here...it's the COWBOYS! |
|||||||
10-06-13 | Carolina Panthers v. Arizona Cardinals +2 | Top | 6-22 | Win | 100 | 28 h 35 m | Show |
Carolina at Arizona 4:05 ET
Cardinals (+) over Panthers- Two weeks ago 'we' posted the Panthers as our 'Major Shocker' over the Giants and they responded with a 38-0 win as we expected. The problem for Carolina who has won their last two is that they have had two weeks to bask in that glory and must now travel across country to play an improving Arizona squad that just pulled off a second half rally to defeat Tampa Bay 13-10. The Cardinals defense is number two in rushing defense and that spells trouble for the Panthers. Take ARIZONA! |
|||||||
10-06-13 | New England Patriots v. Cincinnati Bengals | Top | 6-13 | Win | 100 | 48 h 17 m | Show |
New England at Cincinnati 1:00 ET
Bengals (+) over Patriots- We 'shocked' the handicapping world with our 'Bail-Out' winner with New England over Atlanta last Sunday and had the Browns over Cincinnati so I feel especially strong about this game. The Bengals were ambushed last week by the Browns as they may have been 'peeking' ahead to this important AFC match-up. Cincinnati is 2-0 at home and will keep the pressure on Tom Brady as the lead the league in sacks. New England has the Saints at home up next and will struggle here. Take CINCINNATI! |
|||||||
10-06-13 | New Orleans Saints v. Chicago Bears +1.5 | Top | 26-18 | Loss | -110 | 25 h 7 m | Show |
New Orleans at Chicago 1:00 ET
Bears (+) over Saints- The undefeated (4-0) New Orleans Saints are trying to make NFL history with quarterback Drew Brees who already holds the league record for nine straight games with 300 or more passing yards. The Bears are off a division loss at Detroit where they committed four turnovers. Jay Cutler and his offensive crew will have to take better care of football to win here. There are two trends that conflict here as the Bears 0-3-1 ATS in their last four at home while the home team is 4-0-2 ATS in the last six meetings. Take CHICAGO! |
|||||||
10-05-13 | Ohio State v. Northwestern +7 | Top | 40-30 | Loss | -105 | 30 h 15 m | Show |
Ohio State at Northwestern 8:00 ET
Wildcats (+) over Buckeyes- Talk about dominating a series the Buckeyes who have won 18 straight games and 28 the past 29 meetings against the Wildcats. No. 3 Ohio State has Braxton Miller back leading the charge and they are averaging 48.2 points per game but will be matched by the Wildcats Treyvon Green and who is averaging seven yards per carry and they will have the return of Venric Mark to replace him. Big game for No. 15 Northwestern as they have cracked the Top-20 and the home support will help. Take the points and NORTHWESTERN |
|||||||
10-05-13 | Arizona State v. Notre Dame +6.5 | Top | 34-37 | Win | 100 | 29 h 53 m | Show |
Arizona State vs Notre Dame 7:30 @ Dallas
Fighting Irish (+) over Sun Devils- Arizona State managed to put up 612 yards against USC last week and are now ranked No. 24 with a win over Wisconsin. The Sun Devils have the explosive Marion Grice who leads the nation with 12 touchdowns while the Irish have a trio of running backs lead by George Atkinson who is averaging more then seven yards a carry. I like Notre Dame to 'bounce' back here as they are 9-1 in their last 10 regular-season game at any NFL stadium. Take the points...take NOTRE DAME! |
|||||||
10-05-13 | Georgia Tech +6.5 v. Miami (Florida) | Top | 30-45 | Loss | -106 | 27 h 49 m | Show |
Georgia Tech at Miami 3:30 ET
Yellow Jackets (+) over Hurricanes- Oh me goodness! I don't remember when I have seen a game set-up better then this match-up. Last week we had Virginia Tech as our Thursday night winner over Georgia Tech as seven-point dogs that won outright! Meanwhile, Miami is playing a schedule so weak that they shortened the quarters to 12 minutes instead of 15 and they played with a 'running' clock. This week the competition will be mush stiffer as the Yellow Jackets look to atone for their embarrassing lost to the Hokies on national TV. There are two huge question marks for Miami as running back Duke Johnson and quarterback Stephen Morris were treated for injuries. Add that Georgia Tech is 7-1-1 ATS in their first underdog roll of the season and they are 6-1-1 ATS on the road with conference revenge. Take YELLOW JACKETS |
|||||||
10-03-13 | UCLA v. Utah +6.5 | Top | 34-27 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 6 m | Show |
UCLA at Utah 10:00 ET
Utes (+) over Bruins- UCLA enters this contest with three straight impressive wins and must now visit Salt Lake City where they have been pounded their last two trips 75-12. Utah is 3-1 with a powerful offense but must find a way to contain the Bruins offense which is scoring 52.7 points per game. Utah has started poorly in the PAC-12 losing their first four conference games it first two years in the league and now have already dropped their opener to Oregon State in overtime 51-48. Both teams are off bye weeks and Utah coach Kyle Whittingham is 6-2 off regular season rest while the Bruins are 2-7 ATS with a weeks rest. UCLA is just 1-9 ATS on the road as a conference road favorite of seven points of less. It's UTAH! |
|||||||
09-29-13 | Philadelphia Eagles +11 v. Denver Broncos | Top | 20-52 | Loss | -105 | 24 h 16 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Denver 4:25 ET
Eagles (+) over Broncos- There should plenty of points scored in Mile High field as the NFL/s two top offenses square off in what should be a 'modern shootout.' Denver leads in total yards as Peyton Manning has passed for a leading 1,143 yards and 12 touchdowns without an interception. The eagles LeSean McCoy is the NFL's leading rusher with 395 yards and Vick has added 187 averaging over 10 yards per attempt. Philadelphia is 1-2 because of seven turnovers and their inability to stop anybody on defense. The Eagles have dropped two straight since their opening Monday night win over the Redskins, look for this one to come down to the final gun. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
|||||||
09-29-13 | Seattle Seahawks v. Houston Texans +3 | Top | 23-20 | Push | 0 | 72 h 27 m | Show |
Seattle at Houston 1:00 ET
Texans (+) over Seahawks- The Seattle Seahawks are 3-0 and looking invincible after two huge home wins over San Francisco and Jacksonville. They have won and 'covered' every game to date in 2013 including their four preseason contests. Last week 'we' used The Ravens as our 'High Roller' winner over Houston and this week they bounce-back against one of the NFC's best. Trends for this contest aline themselves in one direction. Seattle's Pete Carroll is just 8-11 straight-up and 5-13-1 ATS laying points on the road while Houston is 8-8 straight-up and 11-5 ATS getting points at home. Take the TEXANS! |
|||||||
09-29-13 | NY Giants +5 v. Kansas City Chiefs | Top | 7-31 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 16 m | Show |
New York Giants at Kansas City 1:00
Giants (+) over Chiefs- Oh my Lord! Last week 'we' posted Carolina against these Giants as my 'highest rated' |
|||||||
09-28-13 | Wisconsin +7 v. Ohio State | Top | 24-31 | Push | 0 | 25 h 54 m | Show |
Wisconsin at Ohio State 8:00 ET
Badgers (+) over Buckeyes- Ohio State though many may realize has won 16 straight games (no bowl game last year) and has run over opponents in their non-conference schedule. Wisconsin meanwhile has the nation's leading rusher in Melvin Gordon who has 624 yards in four games. This battle will compare strengths of both squads as the Badgers have run for 387 yards or more three times and Ohio State's defense have held all their opponents under 73 yards rushing. This contest should come down to the last team to score. Take the points with WISCONSIN! |
|||||||
09-28-13 | Texas A&M v. Arkansas +15 | Top | 45-33 | Win | 100 | 28 h 49 m | Show |
Texas A&M at Arkansas 7:00 ET
Razorbacks (+) over Aggies- Talk about getting caught looking ahead, the Arkansas Razorbacks blew a 17 point lead at Rutgers with only 5:05 remaining. It was their first road game and loss of the season. Returning home to host the Heisman winner puts the Razorbacks in a great spot in their conference opener. Head coach Bret Bielema was 44-5 at home with Wisconsin and he's now 3-0 with Arkansas. A&M routed the Razorbacks last year 58-10 and have been pointing toward the re-match. Take ARKANSAS! |
|||||||
09-28-13 | Ole Miss v. Alabama -14 | Top | 0-25 | Win | 100 | 54 h 1 m | Show |
Mississippi at Alabama 3:30 ET
Crimson Tide (-) over Rebels- Two undefeated SEC clubs go at it in Tuscaloosa where the top-ranked Crimson Tide will host 3-0 upstart Mississippi. The Rebels last win against Alabama was in 2003 and have only won once in 25 tries at Alabama. Ole Miss was impressive in their 44-23 win at Texas as they outscored the Longhorns 23-0 in the second half. The Tide played like they were in a deep funk last week and still managed to beat Colorado State 31-6 and will be ready for this SEC battle. Mississippi is 0-9 all-time against number one ranked teams and 1-12 against defending national champions. Take ALABAMA! |
|||||||
09-28-13 | LSU v. Georgia -3 | Top | 41-44 | Push | 0 | 23 h 16 m | Show |
Louisiana State at Georgia 3:30 ET
Bulldogs (-) over Tigers- In what could end up a SEC classic #9 Georgia (2-1,1-0) hosts #7 LSU in a match-up of the leagues top offenses. The Tigers have scored more then 30 points in each of their four wins while the Georgia offense is led by quarterback Aaron Murray and star running back Todd Gurley the SEC's leading rusher at 126 yards per game. LSU has outscored opponents 173-88 and have yet to trail in a game this year, that will all change here as the Bulldogs will score early and often enough to win and cover. Take GEORGIA! |
|||||||
09-26-13 | San Francisco 49ers v. St. Louis Rams +3.5 | Top | 35-11 | Loss | -105 | 23 h 46 m | Show |
San Francisco at St. Louis 8:25 ET
Rams (+) over 49ers- Two things that a hard to believe about this contest aside from the fact that they are both 1-2 is that the line on this game is only a field goal...Oh, how the mighty have fallen. But the fact is St. Louis has cover the last four in this series and were 1-0-1 last year. With coach Fisher having Sam Bradford throw the ball 47 times a game the Rams will try and get physical against the beat-up 49ers. It looks as though teams have adjusted to Colin Kaepernick and San Francisco has had problems putting points on the board. In a surprise it's ST LOUIS! |
|||||||
09-26-13 | Virginia Tech +7 v. Georgia Tech | Top | 17-10 | Win | 100 | 21 h 44 m | Show |
Virginia Tech at Georgia Tech 7:30 ET
Hokies (+) over Yellow Jackets- Two teams that are running in opposite directions when it comes to points spread victories. The facts are these, Georgia Tech is 8-1 ATS in their last nine. Virginia Tech is 8-22-1 ATS in their last 31 contests. The Yellow Jackets is still rushing at 5.7 yards per atempt and 485 offensive yards per outing. But, what about V Tech...well after and opening loss to Alabama when of all things Beamers' 'Special' teams were a disaster. Since then the Hokies have won three straight and are allowing a meager 2.6 yards per carry of the season. The Gobblers kicking game has been a down fall as they are just two-of-seven in field goals. Still, it's VIRGINIA TECH! |
|||||||
09-22-13 | NY Giants v. Carolina Panthers +1.5 | Top | 0-38 | Win | 100 | 23 h 59 m | Show |
New York Giants at Carolina 1:00 ET
Panthers (+) over Giants- Both these clubs are 0-2 straight-up and against the 'number' as we enter week 3 of NFL action. The Giants have had no running game what-so-ever and with 10 turnovers their defense has allowed 77 points in just two games. Eli Manning has seven interceptions and still New York is fifth in total offensive yards. The Panthers have been in two tight contest that they managed to lose in the final stages to Seattle and Buffalo. The Giants crushed Carolina last year 36-7 on the road and I don't see a repeat this time around. Take the PANTHERS! |
|||||||
09-22-13 | Green Bay Packers v. Cincinnati Bengals +3 | Top | 30-34 | Win | 100 | 23 h 44 m | Show |
Green Bay at Cincinnati 1:00 ET
Bengals (+) over Packers- Green Bay's Aaron Rogers had a personal best 480 passing yards against Washington last week and barely threw a pass in the final quarter as the Packers raced to a 31-0 lead. The Bengals managed a hard fought win over the Steelers Monday Night and are looking to take command in the AFC North. Green Bay ranked 30th in passing defense allowing 359 per game and have three defensive backs with hamstring injuries. That will be enough for Andy Dalton and A.J. Green to exploit. Take CINCINNATI! |
|||||||
09-21-13 | Kansas State v. Texas -5 | Top | 21-31 | Win | 100 | 27 h 29 m | Show |
Kansas State at Texas 8:00 ET
Longhorns (-) over Wildcats- What is going on in Texas? Two weeks ago 'we' posted BYU as our Top-Rated Vegas Insiders winner over Texas and won easily and last week we followed it with Mississippi over the 'Horns in what was another blowout loss. The Longhorns are 12-2 in Big-12 openers with both losses coming at the hands of Kansas State. Texas has gone to an up-tempo offense but will need to make defensive adjustment to win here. It's been a tough week in Austin and the Longhorns will respond. Take TEXAS! |
|||||||
09-15-13 | New Orleans Saints v. Tampa Bay Buccaneers +3.5 | Top | 16-14 | Win | 100 | 27 h 17 m | Show |
New Orleans at Tampa Bay 4:05 ET
Buccaneers (+) over Saints- The 'high-lite' reel last week for Tampa Bay was of a club committing foolish penalties that cost them a last second loss to the lowly Jets. We had the Jets over this Bucc's last week and were thankful for the Bucc's boneheaded play. Tampa Bay had five penalties that led directly to first downs and Josh Freeman completed less the 50% of his passes. After watching the Jets defense last week we now realized that they still have a better defense then the Saints who allowed more yards last year the any team in NFL history. New Orleans with Sean Payton back on the sidelines had an emotional home win over rival Atlanta and will get caught here. Take TAMPA BAY! |
|||||||
09-15-13 | Miami Dolphins +3 v. Indianapolis Colts | Top | 24-20 | Win | 100 | 25 h 31 m | Show |
Miami at Indianapolis 1:00 ET
Dolphins (+) Colts- The line in this contest seems to be a little 'short' as the Colts host the Dolphins who upset the Browns in Cleveland last Sunday. Miami did it while averaging less then one yard per rushing attempt and having Ryan Tannehill throw for 272 yards. Indianapolis has won the four meetings with the margin of victory not exceeding six points. Last season Andrew Luck passed for a career high of 433 yards last season against the Dolphins. With all those trends in the Colts corner it is difficult to understand why this 'number' is so low. Indianapolis was a playoff team and the Dolphins were not. Vegas likes Miami and so do I. Take the DOLPHINS! |
|||||||
09-14-13 | Wisconsin v. Arizona State -5 | Top | 30-32 | Loss | -106 | 33 h 30 m | Show |
Wisconsin at Arizona State 10:30 ET
Sun Devils (-) over Badgers- Difficult to see how the un-ranked Sun Devils can be such a strong favorite over a Wisconsin club that has won their first two games by a score of 93-0 defeating UMass and Tennessee Tech. Arizona State is 5-1 ATS as home favorites and 14-7 ATS at home in their last 21. Big Ten schools have had problems out west against the PAC-12 going 1-6 ATS in their last seven on the board. Take SUN DEVILS! |
|||||||
09-14-13 | Maryland v. Connecticut +7 | Top | 32-21 | Loss | -115 | 31 h 48 m | Show |
Maryland at Connecticut 7:00 ET
Huskies (+) over Terrapins- The Connecticut Huskies lost to Towson State last week a sub-divison school that didn't even have stats on the game to confirm the win. Saturday night they welcome former coach Randy Edsall who left for Maryland after the Huskies bowl loss to Oklahoma in a BCS Bowl game. The Terrapins are 2-0 but have faced no real competition and should run into an emotion Huskies club now led by head coach Paul Pasqualoni. Take CONNECTICUT! |
|||||||
09-08-13 | Seattle Seahawks v. Carolina Panthers +4.5 | Top | 12-7 | Loss | -110 | 24 h 3 m | Show |
Seattle at Carolina 1:00 ET
Panthers (+) over Seahawks- Really now, look what we have here. The two prototype quarterbacks in the NFL and they are head-to-head to open the season. Russell Wilson has replaced Cam Newton as 'America's' quarterback having won the final five last season and a playoff victory. Not, to forget that Cam Newton has passed for 7,920 yards in two seasons the most by any NFL player the last two years. Seattle won at Carolina last season 16-12 holding the Panthers to a season-low 190 yards. This time they'll do better...take CAROLINA! |
|||||||
09-07-13 | Arizona v. UNLV +10.5 | Top | 58-13 | Loss | -105 | 31 h 10 m | Show |
Arizona at UNLV 10:30 ET
Rebels (+) over Wildcats- Arizona had a field day against in-state rival Northern Arizona last weekend winning 35-0 running the ball for 306 yards without last year's leading rusher Ka'Deem Carey. UNLV may have gotten slaughtered on the scoreboard (51-23) at Minnesota but actually out gained the Golden Gophers by 99 yards. Last season the Wildcats surrendered 35.3 points per game and the Rebels have an offense that can score. As far as trends go it is all UNLV. The Rebels are 10-3-1 ATS as a home dog since 2010 and 22-10-1 since 2005 while Arizona is 2-8-1 ATS as a road favorite since 2008 and 8-16-1 ATS on the road during that span. Take UNLV! |
|||||||
09-07-13 | Texas v. BYU +7 | Top | 21-40 | Win | 100 | 30 h 39 m | Show |
Texas at BYU 7:00 ET
Cougars (+) over Longhorns- The Texas Longhorns had their way with under-manned New Mexico State last week trouncing the Aggies 56-7 producing four scoring plays of 50 yards or more while producing 715 yards on offense. BYU was beaten by Virginia last Saturday a game which they only allowed 223 yards and forced 13 punts. The Cougars have running back Jamaal Williams who ran for 144 yards against Virginia and will look to control the ball and keep it out of Longhorns quarterback David Ash's hands. At home look for BYU to give Texas all it can handle. Take the COUGARS! |
|||||||
09-07-13 | Notre Dame +4.5 v. Michigan | Top | 30-41 | Loss | -110 | 29 h 21 m | Show |
Notre Dame at Michigan 8:00 ET
Fighting Irish (+) over Wolverines- Notre Dame was the only undefeated school entering the bowl games last year and we all saw what happened when the faced Alabama. These are the nation's two best winning percentages schools in college football history and Michigan holds a 23-16-1 series edge winning both of the last two meetings by four points as 3 |
|||||||
08-31-13 | LSU v. TCU +4.5 | Top | 37-27 | Loss | -110 | 60 h 21 m | Show |
LSU vs TCU 8:00 ET
Cowboy Stadium Horned Frogs (+) over Tigers- Granted LSU has lost only six games in the last three season and three of those loses were to the national champions. The quarterbacking advantage goes to TCU as Casey Pachall is back after missing the final nine games last year due to rehab. The Tigers return Zach Mettenberger at quarterback and he was 58% last year with 32 sacks. This game at Cowboys Stadium has got to favor TCU and their tough defense returns all five starting defensive backs. Take HORNED FROGS! |
|||||||
01-20-13 | San Francisco 49ers v. Atlanta Falcons +5 | Top | 28-24 | Win | 100 | 75 h 39 m | Show |
San Francisco at Atlanta 3:00 ET
Falcons + over 49ers- After watching what may have been the most impressive performance in NFL playoff history by Colin Kaepernick last week there will be an 'over-reaction' to how good the Niners really are. The over-reaction by the public is natural but the number one seed being more then a touchdown underdog at home doesn't cut it. Much of what may go by without much fanfare is the fact that the Falcons have beaten San Francisco in each of their last four meetings. This one is on the road for the young 49ers quarterback and he might find the atmosphere a bit more hostile and difficult to deal with. Take the points and ATLANTA! |
|||||||
01-13-13 | Houston Texans +10 v. New England Patriots | Top | 28-41 | Loss | -110 | 28 h 3 m | Show |
Houston at New England 4:30 ET
Texans + over Patriots- It was the New England Patriots that gave the Houston Texans a taste of reality when they crushed the Texans 42-14 in Foxborough. After dropping three of their last four Houston regrouped against the Bengals and allowed only one touchdown in their Wild Card win. I expect that the Texans have watched hour of film of their humiliation last month and will be better prepared. Houston will control the clock with Foster and Schaub controlling the ball. This one comes down to the final gun so the points are good with an outside outright possibility. Take HOUSTON! |
|||||||
01-13-13 | Seattle Seahawks +3 v. Atlanta Falcons | Top | 28-30 | Win | 100 | 25 h 48 m | Show |
Seattle at Atlanta 1:00 ET
Seahawks + over Falcons- The question here is if the Seattle Seahawks are 'that' team, the team that unexpectedly runs the table much as the Giants did late year and the Packers and Steelers the seasons before that. Seattle does possess the best defense (scoring) in the NFL allowing only 15.5 points per game and are in the mist of a six game winning streak where they have outscored their opponents 217-74. Atlanta had gone undefeated (7-0) at home and clinched home field advantage throughout the NFC's playoffs before dropping their meaningless home final a loss to Tampa Bay. Take SEATTLE |
|||||||
01-12-13 | Green Bay Packers v. San Francisco 49ers -140 | Top | 31-45 | Win | 100 | 32 h 16 m | Show |
Green Bay at San Francisco 8:00 ET
49ers |
|||||||
01-07-13 | Alabama -9 v. Notre Dame | Top | 42-14 | Win | 100 | 10 h 46 m | Show |
BCS Championship Miami Gardens, FL 8:30 ET
Notre Dame vs Alabama Crimson Tide - over Fighting Irish- Finally the game and match-up is here. The undisputed and undefeated No. 1 Notre Dame will be up against the Alabama Crimson Tide who are seeking their third National Championship in the last four seasons. It is difficult for me to comprehend how a team that surrendered only nine touchdowns in 12 games can be ranked No. 1 and still be close to a 10 point underdog. Las Vegas certainly believe that Alabama's defense is as good as the Irish and the difference has to be the Tides' offense who's line averages 315 pounds. Alabama's defense held 10 of 13 opponents under 14 points and had four shutouts. In game that will not be as. Lose as most thing the Tide will ride high. Take ALABAMA! |
|||||||
01-06-13 | Seattle Seahawks -2.5 v. Washington Redskins | Top | 24-14 | Win | 100 | 30 h 44 m | Show |
Seattle at Washington 4:30 ET
Seahawks |
|||||||
01-06-13 | Indianapolis Colts v. Baltimore Ravens -6.5 | Top | 9-24 | Win | 100 | 26 h 1 m | Show |
AFC Wild Card Game of the Year
Indianapolis at Baltimore 1:00 ET Ravens- over Colts- Now, as I see this contest I realize that the Colts have a better record 11-5 the do the Ravens (10-6) and yet Baltimore has been installed a favorite of just under a touchdown. I like this match-up on so many levels I'm not sure where to start, first of all Indianapolis is 1-5 ATS in playoff openers on the road. And how about this, NFL dome teams (Colts) are 9-24 ATS outdoors in the playoffs. With Ray Lewis announcing his retirement M&T Bank Stadium will be rockin'. Take the RAVENS! |
|||||||
01-05-13 | Minnesota Vikings v. Green Bay Packers -7.5 | Top | 10-24 | Win | 100 | 11 h 34 m | Show |
Minnesota at Green Bay 8:00 ET
Packers |
|||||||
01-05-13 | Pittsburgh +3.5 v. Ole Miss | Top | 17-38 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 10 m | Show |
Compass Bowl Birmingham, Alabama
Pittsburgh vs Mississippi 1:00 ET Panthers + over Rebels- This is the Big East final opportunity to make it's presence felt in a bowl game as Pittsburgh plays on Birmingham for the third straight year while the SEC will be represented bt Mississippi who is making their first bowl appearance in three seasons. The Panthers will move on the the ACC next season as they finish playing ion their fifth straight bowl game. Both clubs were money makers for their backers this season as the Rebels went 9-3 ATS and Pittsburgh went 7-4-1. Pitt has more balance and will be shy-high to compete against the over-rated SEC. Take PITTSBURGH! |
|||||||
01-04-13 | Texas A&M v. Oklahoma +3.5 | Top | 41-13 | Loss | -110 | 30 h 48 m | Show |
Cotton Bowl Dallas, Texas 8:00 ET
Texas A&M vs Oklahoma Sooners + over Aggies- It what figures to be a high scoring battle between two former Big-12 rivals Texas A&M (10-2) brings freshman Heisman Trophy winner quarterback Johnny Manziel while Oklahoma (10-2) counters with quarterback Landy Jones. Jones is fifth in the nation with 333 yards passing and is 3-0 in bowl games. Oklahoma has had a decided edge in the series match-ups winning 11 of 13 under coach Bob Stoops, including eight of the last nine meetings. This should be a great one with the Sooners ending on top. Take OKLAHOMA! |
|||||||
01-03-13 | Kansas State +9 v. Oregon | Top | 17-35 | Loss | -110 | 27 h 59 m | Show |
Fiesta Bowl
Oregon vs Kansas State 8:30 ET Wildcats + over Ducks- Two 11-1 teams that just as well could be playing on Monday for the National Champion but single game slip ups on the same day ended those dreams which brings them both to Phoenix. Surprisingly enough the defenses of these two have both been impressive as Oregon led the nation in turnovers with 39 while Kansas State forced 31. The Wildcats turned it over on offense only 10 times in 12 games. State has dropped all four bowl games since Snyder's return and with the word out that Chip Kelly is headed out. This time he gets the win. KANSAS STATE! |
|||||||
01-01-13 | Northern Illinois +14 v. Florida State | Top | 10-31 | Loss | -110 | 29 h 33 m | Show |
Orange Bowl (Miami Gardens, FL) 8:30 ET
Northern Illinois vs Florida State Huskies + over Seminoles- There are a number of people that are still scratching their heads trying to figure out how Northern Illinois get the plum Orange Bowl invite. The Huskies enter with a 12 game winning streak after dropping their season's opener against Iowa 18-17. Defense is the key for Florida State as the have the ACC Defensive Player of the Year in defensive end Bjoen Werner as they are third in passing defense (160.8 yards) and fourth in rushing (93 yards). This is a big step for Northern Illinois as Rod Carey makes his head coaching debut. The former offensive coordinator will test his ability against the Seminoles here. Take NORTHERN ILLINOIS! |
|||||||
01-01-13 | Wisconsin +6.5 v. Stanford | Top | 14-20 | Win | 100 | 25 h 8 m | Show |
Rose Bowl (Pasadena, CA) 5:00 ET
Wisconsin vs Stanford Badgers + over Cardinals- I fell like saying 'Upon future review...', when I first saw this match-up I was thrilled to have the opportunity to take a favorite that I thought might win easily. After all I had Wisconsin as my Big-Ten Game of the Year winner over Nebraska scoring 70 points. I figured that their would be a letdown from the Badgers but I was wrong. It took more then half the season to finally get the (Monty) Ball rolling. The senior running back started slow but has been unstoppable since. It one that will be closer then I originally thought. Look for the NCAA career touchdown leader get to end zone enough to 'cover' here. Take WISCONSIN! |
|||||||
01-01-13 | Nebraska +9.5 v. Georgia | Top | 31-45 | Loss | -105 | 22 h 32 m | Show |
Capitol One Bowl (Orlando FL) 1:00 ET
Nebraska vs Georgia Cornhuskers + over Bulldogs- Having posted Wisconsin as my Big-Ten Game of the Year winner in the Conference championship game where the Badgers scored 70 points I knew that coming back with Nebraska (a humiliated loser 70-31) in their next game. It just becomes an ever stronger play as their SEC opponent the Georgia Bulldogs enter this contest off a bitter hard fought loss to Alabama. The Bulldogs won't be able to forget how close they were to playing in the national championship game. Huskers can beat you with their speed as they are faster then most realize. Take NEBRASKA! |
|||||||
01-01-13 | Michigan +5.5 v. South Carolina | Top | 28-33 | Win | 100 | 20 h 9 m | Show |
Outback Bowl (Tampa, FL) 1:00 ET
Michigan vs South Carolina Wolverines + over Gamecocks- Another Big-Ten/SEC battle as teams with future superstars knock heads in Tampa as South Carolina will face Michigan. South Carolina's 'Ball coach' Steve Spurrier still hasn't named a starter at quarterback as it will be either Conner Shaw or Dylan Thompson who threw for 310 in his last start. Michigan has had some changes at quarterback as well with versatile Denard Robinson hasn't thrown a pass since injuring his elbow in late October. Devin Gardner has filled the void accounting for 15 touchdowns in four games. Michigan has the offensive skills to pull of the upset here. Take the WOLVERINES! |
|||||||
12-31-12 | Clemson +6 v. LSU | Top | 25-24 | Win | 100 | 30 h 31 m | Show |
Chick-Fil-A Bowl
Clemson vs LSU 7:30 ET Tigers + over Tigers- HA! The last thing I remember from the Orange Bowl last season was the Clemson Tigers surrendering 70 points to West Virginia. One half of that combo did their thing as we used Syracuse as a 'Best Bet' winner (like this game). The same rational applies. Clemson wants to atone for last years embarrassment and win this one on the field and this is a step down for LSU as they were expecting a BCS invite. Both Clubs have 10-2 records with the LSU losses to Alabama and Florida and defeats to Clemson were from Florida State and South Carolina so both played quailty ball all season. This surface aids Clemson's speed. Take CLEMSON! |

12-30-12 | Green Bay Packers v. Minnesota Vikings +3.5 | Top | 34-37 | Win | 100 | 28 h 33 m | Show |
Green Bay at Minnesota 4:25 ET
Vikings + over Packers- Could it be the Vikings? Could this Minnesota team be the Giants of 2011 or anyone of the other NFL teams that just get into the playoffs and make a run to the Super Bowl. Minnesota is 6-1 at home including wins over the 49ersBears with their only home loss to Tampa Bay. The key here for the Vikings is not so much Adrian Peterson who needs 208 yards to set the NFL single season rushing record but can Christian Ponder protect the ball. He has committed only one turnover during the Vikings three game winning streak. Take MINNESOTA! |
|||||||
12-30-12 | Chicago Bears v. Detroit Lions +3 | Top | 26-24 | Win | 100 | 24 h 20 m | Show |
Chicago at Detroit 1:00 ET
Lions + over Bears- For me, this game sets up like the 'Perfect Storm!' The Chicago Bears need a win and some help to ,make it into the playoffs but when the get beat here it won't matter. The Bears are hurting everywhere and this is not where they want to close the season. Trailing into the Lions den has not been difficult for most of the Lions opponents it's just that this is the place Detroit takes a bite out of the opposition. But, the 'Key Factor' here is the 'Fat Harry' sought me out to bet the Bears so I have the 'Highest' confidence that Detroit is the winner. Take the LIONS! |
|||||||
12-29-12 | TCU v. Michigan State +2 | Top | 16-17 | Win | 100 | 30 h 43 m | Show |
Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl
Texas Christian vs Michigan State 10:15 ET Spartans + over Horned Frogs- Michigan State lost five conference games by a grand total of 11 points while TCU dropped to 10 in the conference in offense after quarterback Casey Pachall was dismissed from the team. The Horned Frogs dropped three of four after his departure but rallied to finish at 7-5. The Spartans can play as wins over Wisconsin and Boise State would show they just have to be more consistent on offense. Take MICHIGAN STATE! |
|||||||
12-29-12 | Oregon State v. Texas +3 | Top | 27-31 | Win | 100 | 26 h 42 m | Show |
Alamo Bowl 6:45 ET
Oregon State vs Texas Longhorns + over Beavers- The Texas Longhorns have had a disappointing season dropping their last two games where as the Oregon State Beavers shocked the PAC-12 world winning nine games including wins over BYU, ASU, Cal and Arizona. State averaged 33 points per game and held opponents to under 20 while the Longhorns surrendered almost 30 points per contest. (29.4) Entering this game off two straight losses the Texas friendly crowd will hell the Longhorns. Take TEXAS! |
|||||||
12-29-12 | West Virginia v. Syracuse +4 | Top | 14-38 | Win | 100 | 22 h 55 m | Show |
Pinstripe Bowl
West Virginia vs Syracuse 3:15 ET Orange + over Mountaineers- West Virginia started the season 6-0 and then stated to play some tough competition and lost five straight. Quarterback Geno Smith Had over 20 touchdown passes before he threw his first interception and the Mountaineers were on a roll. The scored 70 points against Baylor and defeated Texas. Then they had an ill fated trip to play Texas Tech and got crushed (Big-12 Game of Year Winner) and it was all down hill after that. West Virginia's defense is 114th giving up over 38 points per game. Syracuse averaged 38.5 points in winning five of their last six games. Take SYRACUSE! |
|||||||
12-28-12 | Rutgers v. Virginia Tech -125 | Top | 10-13 | Win | 100 | 27 h 25 m | Show |
Florida Citrus Bowl 12/28/12
Rutgers vs Virginia Tech 5:30 ET Hokies |

12-27-12 | Baylor v. UCLA Bruins -111 | Top | 49-26 | Loss | -111 | 34 h 56 m | Show |
Holiday Bowl San Diego 9:45 ET
Baylor vs UCLA Bruins Pk over Bears- I have one big concern about this game is that UCLA is the ranked team and I'm sure by game time they might be underdogs. The Baylor Bears enter this contest having beaten Kansas State, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State in the last three weeks and have covered their last five. The Bruins are off back-to-back contests with Stanford and they lost them both with a 'cover' in the PAC-12 championship game. First year head coach Jim Mora has turned this program around in one season and will have his offense ready for the Bears porous defense. Take UCLA! |
|||||||
12-23-12 | San Francisco 49ers +1.5 v. Seattle Seahawks | Top | 13-42 | Loss | -110 | 26 h 34 m | Show |
San Francisco at Seattle 8:28 ET
49ers Pk over Seahawks- How do you go against a team that is undefeated at home (6-0) and has back-to-back 50-point games? The Seahawks can actually still win the division and it would take a win here. If you check the stats these two end up in a dead-heat. Offense, defense, running, passing and kicking game all grade out equal. This is why when they make the Niners a favorite in Seattle it raises my eyebrow. San Francisco has won the last four meetings and they make it five tonight. Take the 49ers! |
|||||||
12-23-12 | NY Giants v. Baltimore Ravens +3 | Top | 14-33 | Win | 100 | 21 h 49 m | Show |
New York Giants at Baltimore 4:25 ET
Ravens + over Giants- I've been hear bit all week, the storyline here is that the Giants are in need or they are out while even though the Ravens have dropped three in-a-row they are still playoff bound with a returning Ray Lewis for the main event. Having posted the Falcons over the Giants last week (Megabucks winner) I would first look to see any professional team bounce back from a 34-0 drubbing but, the Ravens re the injured party and want desperately to 'right' this ship. Believe it when I say the Dandy Hook tragedy to a lot from New York, players made trips to grieving parents and everyone there was effected. Giants emotionally drained and Ravens surprise. Take BALTIMORE! |
|||||||
12-23-12 | Indianapolis Colts v. Kansas City Chiefs +7 | Top | 20-13 | Push | 0 | 18 h 45 m | Show |
Indianapolis at Kansas City 1:00 ET
Chiefs + over Colts- It really doesn't sound right when I say it out loud but I like the Chiefs here. The coaches are gone and the players are competing for their jobs. That's not to say that the Colts won't be motivated but a win puts them in the playoffs. Indianapolis will have some distractions with the return of coach Chuck Pagano who will be back on the sidelines after a three month battle with leukemia. Kansas City know that they will have to do it with defense as they the leagues' worst scoring only 13.9 points per game. Still, a bit early for these young Colts to clinch. Take KANSAS CITY! |
|||||||
12-23-12 | Washington Redskins v. Philadelphia Eagles +7 | Top | 27-20 | Push | 0 | 17 h 14 m | Show |
Washington at Philadelphia 1:00 ET
Eagles + over Redskins- Yes, we are all aware that RGIII will return to action against one of the biggest 'dog' teams to suit up this season the Philadelphia Eagles. Including preseason games in all of 2012 the Eagles have covered just once in nine games. They are being out-scored by five points a game when playing as hosts. Rookie Nick Foles stands tall in the pocket and has already set a Philadelphia franchise single game for passing yards. With the Redskins having allowed 28 touchdown passes the NFL-worst. Eagles had won five of six between these two prior to this season. It comes out PHILADELPHIA! |
|||||||
12-22-12 | Atlanta Falcons v. Detroit Lions +4.5 | Top | 31-18 | Loss | -110 | 33 h 19 m | Show |
Atlanta at Detroit 8:30 ET
Lions + over Falcons- Last week we posted the Falcons as a Huge winner over the Giants 34-0 and now they need only win once to assure home field advantage throughout the playoffs. We also posted the Arizona as my 'Major Shocker' over these disappointing Detroit Lions as the Cardinals losers of eight straight just crushed the paper-lions 38-10. This is Detroit's final chance to shine before a national audience and the Falcons should enter this contest a little cocky off their win over New York while the Lions will be scrambling for any kind of win. Take DETROIT! |
|||||||
12-22-12 | Washington +6 v. Boise State | Top | 26-28 | Win | 100 | 28 h 52 m | Show |
Las Vegas Macco Bowl
Washington vs Boise State 3:35 ET Huskies + over Broncos- This may be the bowl game that Boise State is slated to play in winning the Mountain West Conference but it is not where they want to be playing. Unlike seasons past the Broncos have don't it more with defense then on the offensive side of the ball. Washington like Boise has had problems on offense and that was surprising as junior quarterback Keith Price as supposed to lead the way. The Huskies are looking to make amends for the season final clunker and rival Washington State and will come to play here while State wishes they were some place else. Take WASHINGTON! |
|||||||
12-16-12 | San Francisco 49ers +5.5 v. New England Patriots | Top | 41-34 | Win | 100 | 31 h 47 m | Show |
San Francisco at New England 8:30 ET
49ers + over Patriots- Here come the Patriots as they seek their eight win in a row behind a red-hot Tom Brady while the Niners have been inconsistent winning three of four since Colin Kaepernick took over for Alex Smith at quarterback. I expect Jim Harbaugh to use San Francisco's powerful run game to try and keep the ball out of Tom Brady's hands and they will do that without Brandon Jacobs who they have suspended the rest of the season. Still, it's the Niners who are 5-1-1 ATS as a dog get it done here. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
|||||||
12-16-12 | Seattle Seahawks v. Buffalo Bills +6 | Top | 50-17 | Loss | -110 | 27 h 47 m | Show |
Seattle at Buffalo @ Toronto 4:05 ET
Bills + over Seahawks- The Bills might as well consider this game a road game as they it is being played in Toronto where they are just 1-3 including a 23-0 loss to the Redskins last season. Seattle has surprised most as they are driving toward the NFL playoffs except they have one major problem, they don't play well on the road where they are just 2-5 straight-up. The Seahawks received a gift of eight turnovers from Arizona last week in their 58-0 win but will fine it tougher here. Take BUFFALO! |
|||||||
12-16-12 | Green Bay Packers v. Chicago Bears +3 | Top | 21-13 | Loss | -110 | 24 h 29 m | Show |
Green Bay at Chicago 1:00 ET
Bears + over Packers- This week should be by far my biggest reverse win of the season. For weeks now I've been 'collecting cash at the bar in Las Vegas playing against the Bears from 'Fat Harry' the know-it-all Bears fan who has had to pay me off because this idiot fan is so blindly bias. The Bears who forced 28 turnovers scoring eight times in building a 7-1 mark have dropped four of five while creating only seven takeaways and no defensive scores. So now, 'Fat Harry' no longer wants the Bears. Hey, |
|||||||
12-16-12 | NY Giants v. Atlanta Falcons -120 | Top | 0-34 | Win | 100 | 24 h 2 m | Show |
New York Giants at Atlanta 1:00 ET
Falcons (Pk) over Giants- It's difficult to understand how this game can be a virtual pick-em when the Falcons have the best record in the NFL and the home field advantage. Much of it has to do with the way Atlanta has built their record and the fact that New York has the Redskins and Cowboys applying pressure. Last year the Giants destroyed the Falcons here in the first round of the playoffs 24-2. The Falcons have been hearing all week how they just aren't tough enough and even though a win here can clinch a first-round bye with a win. Revenge on their minds take ATLANTA! |
|||||||
12-13-12 | Cincinnati Bengals v. Philadelphia Eagles +5 | Top | 34-13 | Loss | -110 | 28 h 21 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Philadelphia 8:20 ET
Eagles + over Bengals- The obvious side here is to look for the Bengals to bounce back from their late collapse against the Cowboys and for Philadelphia to revert back to form after a late minute win over the Buccaneers. Nike Foles has shown that he is capable throwing the ball as setting a franchise rookie best of 381 yards. The last time these two met was when Donovan McNabb didn't know an NFL game could end in a tie as he ran out the clock in the final minutes. After going 191- ATS the first 11 weeks the Eagles have managed to 'cover' their last two weeks and they are 7-0 ATS in their last seven games in week 15. Philadelphia has not quit on the season and will represent the NFC well here tonight. Take the EAGLES! |
|||||||
12-10-12 | Houston Texans v. New England Patriots -3.5 | Top | 14-42 | Win | 100 | 51 h 15 m | Show |
Houston at New England 8:30 ET
Patriots |
|||||||
12-09-12 | Detroit Lions +7 v. Green Bay Packers | Top | 20-27 | Push | 0 | 28 h 1 m | Show |
Detroit at Green Bay 8:20 ET
Lions + over Packers- Like the Titans and Colts another mirror match-up of 4-8 visiting teams at an 8-4 home team the Packers are favored by less then a touchdown. The storyline that I keep hearing this week is that the Lions have quit on the season and can't stand their coach and that the players hate each other, well much of that could be true but they are professionals and their pride is injured and I expect them to bring everything they got to the table when they face the Packers in Green Bay. These two are bitter division rivals and it will come down to the final gun. Take DETROIT! |
