09-14-19 | Braves v. Nationals -113 | Top | 10-1 | Loss | -113 | 6 h 39 m | Show |
Atlanta at Washington 4:05 ET Nationals over Braves- Atlanta is putting some space between themselves and the rest of the NL East and after last night's 5-0 win over the Nationals they have opened a 12-game lead in the loss column. The Braves will start Mike Foltyewicz (6-5, 5.00 ERA) was sent to the minors earlier this season after surrendering eight hits and eight runs in four innings against Washington bringing his record to 5-4 with a 4.86 ERA against them. Austin Voth (1-1, 4.00) gets the start for the Nats who are strangely favored. Take WASHINGTON! |

09-14-19 | Stanford +9.5 v. Central Florida | Top | 27-45 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 34 m | Show |
Chip's NCAAF 'Guaranteed' 'Highest-Rated' Megabucks Chip Chirimbes the 'Big Game Player' and Las Vegas Hilton Handicapping Champion was 3-1-1 ATS Saturday and is either 1-0-1 or 1-1 ATS with his 'Highest-Rated' Megabucks after Texas (+7 or +6.5) lost or 'pushed' 38-45 against LSU. Saturday, the 'Big-Game Player' has posted a 'Guaranteed' Highest-Rated A-Play Megabucks winner between Stanford and Central Florida. Cash-in on his Highest-Rated 'Guaranteed' Megabucks Best Bet only $49 or as part of Chip's 'Guaranteed' Triple-Play of Best Bet winners for just $79 or his 'Guaranteed' Fab-5 Full Slate for $99! Stanford at Central Florida 3:30 ET Cardinals (+) over Panthers- It's been great playing 'on and off' the Cardinals as they have won as our 'Megabucks' opening week Best Bet and then fell to USC (our ('Money Game' winner). So, I feel very comfortable backing them here. There has been a way-over reaction to both these clubs with Central Florida's No. 16 status inflated by the level of competition they play. Now, I'm not saying that they don't deserve it but like Gonzaga in NCAAB they don't play enough good competition. Stanford Quarterback K.J. Costello returns after concussion protocol while the Panthers are deciding between three quality starters in Brandon Wimbush (ND Transfer), Darriel Mack, Jr. (last years back-up) or freshman Dillon Gabriel but no matter, it will be K.J. that will be the difference. Take STANFORD! |
09-13-19 | Ottawa v. BC -5 | Top | 5-29 | Win | 100 | 33 h 10 m | Show |
Ottawa at British Columbia 10:00 ET Lions (-) over RedBlacks- The CFL bottom feeders meet in week 14 of action with Ottawa (3-8) entering having lost eight of nine while BC (1-10) has dropped seven straight. The Lions have won 13 of the past 18 meetings between the two and is 4-2 ATS in the last six meetings. There is one oddity among the trends and that is the RedBlacks are 28-12 ATS in their last 40 road games but 2-8 ATS against teams with losing records and no one has lost more than the Lions. Take BRITISH COLUMBIA! |
09-12-19 | Nationals -123 v. Twins | Top | 12-6 | Win | 100 | 9 h 21 m | Show |
Washington at Minnesota 7:40 ET Nationals over Twins- An oddity in MLB since inter-league play began has a pair of playoff contenders from opposite leagues facing each other instead of division competitors. Minnesota of course is in first place with a four-game lead over Cleveland while Washington is in the first Wild Card spot with a 3.5-game lead in the NL. Kyle Gibson (13-6, 4.58 ERA) returns from the IL after posting a 7.17 ERA in his previous five starts. Lefty Patrick Corbin (11-7, 3.16) makes his first career start against the Twins and has allowed just 10 hits in his last three starts covering 18 innings. Take the NATIONALS! |
09-12-19 | Bucs +7.5 v. Panthers | Top | 20-14 | Win | 100 | 21 h 46 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at Carolina 8:20 ET Buccaneers (+) over Panthers- Both of these NFC South clubs seem to be heading south opening 0-1 with one being even less impressive than the other staring 0-1 ATS. The headliners here at one time had to be Cam Newton for Carolina and Jamis Winston for the Buccaneers, but times change and the best player on the field (by far) will be Christian McCaffrey who had 208 yard form scrimmage in a losing cause against the Rams. Tampa Bay's performance against San Francisco wasn't as bad as it appeared as the out-gained the Niners both on the ground and through the air. They just need Winston to stay under control and no turn the ball over. Moving toward each other this one should be close with the Buccaneers having a chance to pull it out in the end. Add that the road team is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings and the underdog is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings. Take TAMPA BAY! |
09-11-19 | Cubs v. Padres -101 | Top | 0-4 | Win | 100 | 11 h 5 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at San Diego 10:10 ET Padres over Cubs- Chicago is doing their best to make the NL Wild Card chase more exciting my losing four of their last five including last night's four-pitch walk-off walk in the bottom of the 10th as their lead for the playoff spot dropped to 2 ½ games. Tonight, the Cubs start 'home-town' (San Diego) boy Cole Hamels (7-6,3.95 ERA) who has owned the Padres in Petco Park going 5-1 with a 2.01 ERA in nine starts although he has lost four of his last five decisions and since the All-Star break he is 1-3 with a 7.12 ERA. San Diego will start Chris Paddack (8-7, 3.54) who is 5-3 with a 3.40 ERA at home and the Padres are 6-2 in his last eight home starts. Take SAN DIEGO! |
09-10-19 | Royals +103 v. White Sox | Top | 3-7 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 14 m | Show |
Chicago White Sox at Kansas City 8:10E ET Royals over White Sox- In a game of also-rans the Royals and White Sox pit a pair of pitchers with just abut identical records. Kansas City will start Jakob Junis (9-12, 4.94 ERA) who leads the Royals in innings pitched with 167.2 and he has gone at least six innings in 10 of his last 11 starts. Junis is -0 with a 2.84 ERA in 2019 and is 3-1 lifetime in six starts. Chicago will start Ivan Nova (9-12, 4.69) and he is 0-1 in three starts against Kansas City this season with a 6.60 ERA. Take the ROYALS! |
09-09-19 | Yankees v. Red Sox +103 | Top | 5-0 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 8 m | Show |
New York Yankees at Boston 7:10 ET Red Sox over Yankees- The amazing thing about the Red Sox season is not so much that they may not get into the post-season but that they are 36-38 at home. Meanwhile, the Yankees who are a season high 44 games over .500 is looking to put the final nail in the Sox coffin. New York will start James Paxton (12-6, 4.16 ERA) who is 401 with a 3.32 ERA in seven career starts against the Red Sox including a win this season when he had 12 strike outs. Boston will start their winningest hurler Eduardo Rodriguez (17-5, 3.81) who despite his mates difficulties at home is 8-1 at Fenway. Take BOSTON! |
09-08-19 | Chiefs v. Jaguars +3.5 | Top | 40-26 | Loss | -105 | 13 h 9 m | Show |
Kansas City at Jacksonville 1:05 ET Jaguars (+) over Chiefs- Although the 'books' are heavy on the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl and heavy with the 'public' money so far in this encounter but aware the 'Sharps' in Las Vegas keep taking the hook (+3.5) and it will be tough to get more than +3. Straight-up if that's the way you want me to play it maybe the remnants of hurricane 'Missed-Ya' will leave the field soggy and muddy and the Kansas City passing game will suffer. Okay, well, if not Jacksonville will run the ball right at them and play strong pressure defense. Either way or another the Jags get it done. Take JACKSONVILLE! |
09-07-19 | LSU v. Texas +7 | Top | 45-38 | Push | 0 | 28 h 25 m | Show |
L.S.U. at Texas 7:30 ET Longhorns (+) over Tigers- 'I am shocked,' no not that there's gambling going on...but that everyone and I mean just about anyone not in Texas is running with cash in both fists to back Louisiana State. I liked the Longhorns from the git-go and with the price rising so quickly and continuously I only expect some buy back before game time. LSU is 6-2 ATS on the road and that might account for some of the support and they are 4-0-1 against the Big-12 in their last five meetings. But, the Tigers are a team that gets better as the season progresses as they are just 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 games in September. Texas is 6-2 ATS in their last eight non-conference games and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games at home. Take the LONGHORNS! |
09-07-19 | Yankees v. Red Sox +105 | Top | 5-1 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 19 m | Show |
New York Yankees at Boston 4:04 ET Red Sox over Yankees- If Boston is going to do anything down the stretch they will have to get bye their nemesis the New York Yankees who have the best record in the AL and an 8.5-game lead. The Red Sox who are just 36-36 at home and below the breakwater mark against winning teams. They will start rookie Travis Lakins (0-1, 4.70 ERA) who had a shaky outing in his first appearance against the Angels and is making his first MLB start. New York will start J.A. Happ (11-8, 5.34) who is 2-0 with a 4.24 ERA against the Sox this season. It's a matter need and Boston's is greater. Take the RED SOX! |
09-07-19 | Saskatchewan +2.5 v. Winnipeg | Top | 10-35 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 47 m | Show |
New York Yankees at Boston 4:04 ET Red Sox over Yankees- If Boston is going to do anything down the stretch they will have to get bye their nemesis the New York Yankees who have the best record in the AL and an 8.5-game lead. |
09-06-19 | Nationals -112 v. Braves | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -112 | 9 h 31 m | Show |
Washington at Atlanta 7:20 ET Nationals over Braves- Atlanta has won seven straight games overall and 11 straight at home as they host the Nationals who have won 20 of their last 29 and enter this contest having dropped their last two. Washington will start Patrick Corbin (11-6, 3.19 ERA) who is 6-1 lifetime against Atlanta with a 2.32 ERA and has held them to a .209 batting average. The Braves start Dallas Keuchel (6-5, 3.72) who is 3-1 in seven starts at home but 0-3 lifetime against the Nats with a 6.10 ERA in two appearances this season. Take WASHINGTON! |
09-06-19 | Rangers v. Orioles -130 | Top | 7-6 | Loss | -130 | 8 h 20 m | Show |
Texas at Baltimore 7:05 ET Orioles over Rangers- When you pitch for the Baltimore Orioles and you have gone three starts without a defeat you may be considered the ace of the staff. Dylan Bundy (6-13, 4.96 ERA) may not be the O's ace but he has allowed opponents three or less runs in five of his last six starts. The Rangers will start Brock Burke (0-1, 1.95) who has had three quality starts and faces Baltimore for the first time. Texas leads the MLB with 1,401 strikeouts this season and Bundy take advantage tonight. Take the ORIOLES! |
09-05-19 | Nationals -108 v. Braves | Top | 2-4 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 44 m | Show |
Washington at Atlanta 7:20 ET Nationals over Braves- Atlanta who leads the NL East by 7-games is on a six-game win streak in front of 2nd place Washington. Tonight they met in Atlanta where the Braves are 44-27 and 39-21 at home and yet the are an underdog with their winningest hurler Max Fried (15-4, 4.05 ERA) takes the hill. There can be only one reason the Braves are an underdog at home against a lesser team and that is of course because Steven Strasburg (16-5, 3.47) is pitching for the Nationals. Having lost just once in his last 13 starts he is 3-0 with a 3.93 ERA this season against the Bravos. Fried lost his only start against the Nats this season allowing four runs and nine hits in five innings. Take WASHINGTON! |
09-04-19 | Phillies v. Reds +129 | Top | 5-8 | Win | 129 | 8 h 3 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Cincinnati 6:40 ET Reds over Phillies- What a difference a day makes so to speak as Cincinnati's Trevor Bauer takes the hill a year after his All-Star season with Cleveland when he was 12-6 finishing third in MLB lowest EAR with 2.21. He started the season 4-1 with a 2.45 EAR after seven starts and then things started to go south. And he was 1-4 with the Reds last month with an ERA of 8.40 after losing his last four decisions with the Indians. Philly starter Aaron Nola (12-4, 3.45) finished one spot behind Bauer among MLB leaders in ERA last season and will finish behind him again today. Take CINCINNATI! |
09-03-19 | Phillies v. Reds -103 | Top | 6-2 | Loss | -103 | 8 h 9 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Cincinnati 7:10 ET Reds over Phillies- A pitching change for the Reds has changed the perspective on this game as Alex Wood has been scrapped for Lucas Sims (2-1, 4.99 ERA) who will face two of the 'hottest' hitter in the NL right now. Bryce Harper has 11 homers and 26 RBI's in his last 20 games and Rhys Hoskins who after a prolonged slump has five multiple hit games in-a-row. Phillies starter Vince Velasquez (6-7, 4.86) hasn't had a quality start in his last four outings and Philadelphia is 6-16 in his last 22 road starts. Take CINCINNATI! |
09-02-19 | Mets +101 v. Nationals | Top | 7-3 | Win | 101 | 3 h 13 m | Show |
New York Mets at Washington 1:05 ET Mets over Nationals- One team is hot and the other is not! The Nationals have won four straight and are now 19-games over the breakeven mark while the struggling Mets who have lost seven of nine and are sliding away from a playoff berth. Washington has won 17 of their last 20 contests and will start Joe Ross (3-3, 5.36 ERA) who has seen limited action this summer. New York will send Noah Syndergaard (9-7, 4.14) who looks to bounce back from the worst outing of his career giving up nine earned runs against the Cubs, he had allowed just five earned runs in his previous 33.1 innings. Take NEW YORK METS! . |
09-01-19 | Houston v. Oklahoma -23 | Top | 31-49 | Loss | -106 | 10 h 43 m | Show |
Houston at Oklahoma 7:30 ET Sooners over Cougars- Following a pair of Heisman Trophy winners at Oklahoma Jalen Hurts can be expected to fill their shoes in a much different way. Hurts will beat you more with his legs than his arm and one thing Oklahoma has always been able to do is run the ball. With Hurts in the backfield the Sooners ground attack will be that be much more prolific. The last time these two met Houston got the ring with a 33-23 victory to opening the 2016 season. Oklahoma as a measure of revenge on their minds. Take the SOONERS! |
09-01-19 | Padres +120 v. Giants | Top | 8-4 | Win | 120 | 5 h 1 m | Show |
San Diego at San Francisco 4:05 ET Padres over Giants- Well, it appears that San Francisco's run toward the playoffs is over as they have lost four of their last five and have fallen 3-games under .500. Jeff Samardzija (9-10, 3.38 ERA) gets the home start against the Padres at home a team that is nine-games under .500 and yet is favored here. San Diego will start Eric Lauer (7-8, 4.48) and he has a 5.93 ERA on the road but he is favored here although he is 2-0 against the Giants. With Samardzija 9-3 lifetime against the Padres this line makes no sense but San Diego is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings Take SAN DIEGO! |
08-30-19 | Mariners +103 v. Rangers | Top | 3-6 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 57 m | Show |
Seattle at Texas 8:05 ET Mariners over Rangers- Seattle posted a rare come-from-behind win with a ninth inning rally and defeated the Rangers 5-3 last night to end a three-game losing streak. The Mariners who started the season 13-2 but went south soon after that and have played 32-games under .500 since. Posting three wins in their first 15 games Marco Gonzales (14-10, 4.17 ERA) has a chance to win his 15th game of the season tonight. He is 5-3, with a 3.25 ERA against the Rangers including two wins this season. Texas is 2-5 in their last seven and falls here. Take SEATTLE! |
08-29-19 | Utah v. BYU +6.5 | Top | 30-12 | Loss | -107 | 10 h 58 m | Show |
Utah at B.Y. U 10:15 ET Cougars (+) over Utes- Utah as you might expect is the favorite to win the Big-12 but first must start the season by getting by their intra-state rival Brigham Young. This is the 94th meeting of the 'Holy War' and the Utes have won the last eight and are 10-5 ATS series run. Utah has 14 starters returning while BYU has 17 players returning including their quarterback, 3 receivers and top running back. The Cougars are 23-11 ATS as a dog and 7-2 ATS as an underdog in this series also the dog is 16-5 ATS in the last 21 meetings and the Cougars are 13-3 SU in home openers. Take BRIGHAM YOUNG! |
08-29-19 | Giants +3 v. Patriots | Top | 31-29 | Win | 100 | 7 h 50 m | Show |
New York Giants at New England 7:30 ET Giants (+) over Patriots- A pair teams with 3-0 pre-season records clash in Foxboro where two rivals will meet once again. With the understanding that this pits an AFC and NFC matchup but these two play every pre-season and have met in post season and the Giants always seem to get the best of it. New York is 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings. The Patriots are an incredible 41-17 ATS overall in last 57 and 39-12-2 ATS at home. New York on the other hand is 7-0 ATS in their last seven road games. New England has accomplished its goals this preseason and the Giants are still a work in process. Take NEW YORK! |
08-29-19 | Cubs v. Mets -177 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -177 | 9 h 31 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at New York Mets 7:10 ET Mets over Cubs- About two weeks ago it looked like these two would battle for one of the Wild Card spots till the final game but fortunes have changed. The Mets who have lost five-in-row and now trail the cubs by four-games and just can't beat the 'good' teams. They were just been swept (3-0) by Atlanta and could get swept again with a loss tonight. The Cubs will start former ace Jon Lester (10-9, 4.49) who is 6-1 with a 3.40 ERA in nine starts against New York. The Mets will start their Cy Young Award winner Jacob deGrom (8-7, 2.56) who has been pitching in 'bad luck' with little support most of the season. He has received just three runs per start while allowing just 129 hits in 162 innings. Lester's season seems to be getting worse as the year moves on throwing to a 8.51 ERA in his last five starts. Heavy price but it is NEW YORK! |
08-28-19 | Cubs +106 v. Mets | Top | 10-7 | Win | 106 | 9 h 47 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at New York Mets 7:10 ET Cubs over Mets- Chicago was the opening line favorite to win the Central Division and just ended a 3-game losing streak with yesterday's 5-2 win over the Mets. They now trail St. Louis by 3-games in the Central for the division lead and Washington by 3-games in the Wild Card chase but lead the Mets by 3-games. The Mets who have made a great run (27-10) in the second half has had trouble with the better MLB clubs. One positive factor during the Mets surge has been Noah Syndergaar (9-6, 3.71 ERA) who has an ERA of 1.81 in his eight starts since the All-Star break. He is 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA against Chicago in four regular season starts. The Cubs will start Kyle Hendricks (9-9, 3.20) who has had a pair of great back-to-back performances and is 3-0 lifetime against New York allowing just one run in 19.1 innings. Take CHICAGO! |
08-27-19 | Cubs -104 v. Mets | Top | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 36 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at New York Mets 7:10 ET Cubs- over Mets- New York has made their run and they may of well fell short ending their streak too soon. The Mets are 13-4 in their last 17 at home and will have Marcus Stroman (7-11, 3.18 ERA) on the hill and he is 1-0 in four starts with the Mets are 4-0 in his four starts. Chicago who is just 29 -36 on the road send Yu Darvish (4-6, 4.43) who has thrown much better then his record indicates as he has surrendered just 117 hits in 145 innings. Now, here's the Cubs with the worst road record in the NL and they are favored with a losing pitcher. Something smells here. Add that the Mets just don't beat the better clubs in the league. Take CHICAGO! |
08-25-19 | Steelers v. Titans -125 | Top | 18-6 | Loss | -125 | 8 h 24 m | Show |
Pittsburgh at Tennessee 8:00 ET Titans over Steelers- Now that the 'peace' has been restored in Pittsburgh the Steelers have been able to focus on their play and are 2-0 this pre-season and are coming off a 17-7 win over Kansas City. I believe at this point they are looking to just get out of Dodge unharmed. Tennessee on the other hand still have many questions that need to be answered and they will be determined in play tonight. Quarterbacking will be the key and with the home team 4-1 in the last five meetings...Take TITANS! |
08-24-19 | Saints v. Jets +3 | Top | 28-13 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 43 m | Show |
New Orleans at New York Jets 7:30 ET Jets over Saints- This NFL pre-season has been different from any other I've experienced previously. The reason is that starters are seeing less and less time on the field and many coaches are just having the players going through the motions. The Saints are a club that has already accomplished their pre-season goal having an offense that moves the ball and a defense that stood up hen needed last week. The Jets on the other hand realize that they have plenty of work left to do. New York has been out-gained by 141 by the Giants and 128 yards by Atlanta in their 22-10 win. Jets will play their starters into the third quarter and get the win. Take J-E-T-S! |
08-24-19 | Braves v. Mets -105 | Top | 9-5 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 11 m | Show |
Atlanta at New York Mets 7:10 ET Mets over Braves- The Mets who are the hottest team in baseball have to find a way to defeat the teams above them in the standings. They have won 21 of their last 27 and 13 of 15 at home but can't seem to get by the Braves. Atlanta is 10-4 in their last 14 games in New York including 9-3 in the past 12 meetings. They are 8-1 on the road when Max Fried (14-4, 3.84 ERA) starts and 18-6 overall in his 24 starts. New York will counter with Zack Wheeler (9-7, 4.40) who is 6-5 with a 3.78 ERA in 13 career starts and he picks up the win tonight. Take the METS! |
08-23-19 | Winnipeg v. Edmonton -6 | Top | 34-28 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 42 m | Show |
Winnipeg at Edmonton 9:00 ET Eskimos (-) over Blue Bombers- After comparing the stats and 'numbers' surrounding this matchup it appears to me that the Eskimos are an inflated favorite against what appears to be a slightly superior team and that draws me to the favorites side. The Blue Bombers are 19-8 ATS against teams with winning record and 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games overall. Yet, they are a heavy underdog here. I don't trust it...take EDMONTON! |
08-23-19 | Bills v. Lions +3 | Top | 24-20 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 53 m | Show |
Buffalo at Detroit 8:00 ET Lions over Bills- Here we have one of the worst coached teams Detroit (0-2 SU, 0-2 ATS) hosting an up and coming club in Buffalo. The Bills (2-0 SU, 2-0 ATS) led by former Wyoming QB Josh Allen are placed in an unusual place as a road favorite and in such a meaningless game. The Lions under Matt Patricia have looked dazed and confused at times after getting abused by New England 31-3 at home in their pre-season opener. I expect a better effort in front of the home crowd this time around. Take DETROIT! |
08-23-19 | Reds v. Pirates -110 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 49 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Pittsburgh 7:05 Pirates over Reds- The last time these two combatants met there was a near riot in Cincinnati as a bench clearing brawl suspended both managers and three players. At the time Pittsburgh hurlers were being accused of throwing at batters heads and Reds pitcher Amir Garrett rushed the Pirates dugout. In this series opener Cincinnati will start Anthony DeSclafani (8-7, 4.40 ERA) and he has struggled against the Bucs this season posting a ERA of 8.10. Mitch Keller (1-2, 8.86) made his first MLB start against the Reds and was blasted he looks to atone for the performance tonight. Take PITTSBURGH! |
08-21-19 | Indians v. Mets -142 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 36 m | Show |
Cleveland and New York Mets 7:10 ET Mets over Indians- Both of these clubs have turned their seasons around after slow starts to the year. The Mets are 25-10 since the All-Star break and 19-5 in their last 24. This includes winning 11 of their last 12 at home. Cleveland who is 45-22 since June 4 will start Adam Pluto (5-3, 4.67 ERA) and he is 1-1 on the road with a 5.29 ERA and has never faced the Mets. New York will start Marcus Stroman (7-11, 3.21) who is 1-2 with a 2.87 ERA in eight appearances against the Indians. Take NEW YORK! |
08-20-19 | Brewers -104 v. Cardinals | Top | 4-9 | Loss | -104 | 8 h 33 m | Show |
Milwaukee at St. Louis 7:45 ET Brewers over Cardinals- St. Louis is coming off of a great pitching performance by Dakota Hudson pitching shutout ball as the Cards have won eight of their last ten game overall. Tonight they will send Michael Wacha (6-6, 5.44 ERA) to the hill and he has struggled the entire season. Wacha who is 6-0 with a 3.84 ERA lifetime against the Brewers has just five quality starts the entire season. Milwaukee will use Gio Gonzalez (2-1, 3.81) who is making just his sixth appearance of the year but has a lifetime ERA of 3.84 against the Red Birds in 10 career starts. This time it is MILWAUKEE! |
08-20-19 | Indians -142 v. Mets | Top | 2-9 | Loss | -142 | 7 h 49 m | Show |
Cleveland at New York Mets 7:10 ET Indians over Mets- Hey, I get another chance to play against the New York Mets Mutt. Although Steven Matz (7-7, 4.33 ERA) has thrown well of late 'we' have made money playing against the Mets when he pitches. New York is just 5-12 at home when Matz starts against teams with winning records and the Indians qualify. What makes matter worst for New York is that Shane Bieber (12-5, 3.27) is taking the hill for the Trip. Cleveland who has the best record in baseball since June 4 is 16-5 in their last 21 on the road and 7-1 in inter-league games. Take CLEVELAND! |

Calgary has won their last three outright while Winnipeg has dropped their last two. The Blue Bombers (Power Play) blew a 20-0 lead to Toronto when they started looking ahead to this encounter and got caught losing outright 28-27. Milwaukee who started the season as one of the hottest clubs in MLB are clawing their way back into the Wild Card hunt but must get over the 'hump' on the road where they are 6-games under .500. The Brewers are 10-3 against Pittsburgh this season and will start Drew Pomeranz (2-9 5.54 ERA) and he has been abominable surrendering 91 hits in 79 innings. Boston at New York Yankees 7:05 ET Yankees over Red Sox- It is usually this time of the year when New Yorkers refer to Boston as the Dead Sox and if they don't turn things around soon they will be dead in the AL Wild Card chase. So, by now last weekends 44 Sox runs and three straight wins over New York at Fenway are a distant memory as the Yanks have recovered by beating Boston four straight. Their lead over the Dead Sox is 13.5-games (15 in the loss column) and they will take no prisoners tonight. Take NEW YORK! |
08-03-19 | Giants v. Rockies -116 | Top | 6-5 | Loss | -116 | 10 h 52 m | Show |
San Francisco at Colorado 8:10 ET Rockies over Giants- At first glance when viewing this contest I couldn't help but be taken back by the fact that Madison Bumgarner (6-7, 3.74 ERA) as an underdog to the Rockies considering he has won his last four decisions against them. His mound opponent for Colorado will be Jon Gray (10-7, 3.88) who is 6-3 with a 3.24 ERA in his last 12 starts. Although Bumgarner is 16-8 lifetime against the Rockies but just 6-6 with 4.33 ERA at Mile High Stadium and the Giants are just 7-20 in their last 27 meetings in Colorado. Take the ROCKIES! |

Chicago Cubs at St. Louis 8:15 ET Cardinals over Cubs- This is another of those reverse side games here a struggling pitcher comes up in the favorites role. Jack Flaherty (4-6, 4.17 ERA) has gone 12 starts without recording a victory going 0-3 since May 14 but has allowed just four runs in his last four starts covering 24.1 innings. Chicago will start veteran Jon Lester (9-6, 3.63) who has won six of his last eight decisions and yet is an underdog here. The Cubs are an NL worst 21-32 on the road and the Cardinals are 13-5 in their last 18 games overall. Before last night game the home side had won 10 straight in this series. Take ST. LOUIS! |
08-01-19 | Winnipeg -14 v. Toronto | Top | 27-28 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 8 m | Show |
Winnipeg at Toronto 7:00 ET Blue Bombers (-) over Argonauts- The Blue Bombers are off of their first loss of the season while Toronto is looking for their first win of the year. The level of talent between these two clubs is vast and there is little chance of it closing anytime soon. Winnipeg is averaging 30-7 Points per contest while allowing just 17.2, while the Argonauts scores just 12.5 points per game and have surrendered 214 points overall. The Bombers have won and covered six of the last seven meetings and do it again here. Take WINNIPEG! |
07-31-19 | Cubs -111 v. Cardinals | Top | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 9 h 17 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at St. Louis 8:15 ET Cubs over Cardinals- Here we go again with the Cubs being favored on the road where they are NL's worst at 20-32. Chicago sends Kyle Hendricks (7-8, 3.26 ERA) their most effective starter to the hill who is 7-2 with a 2.93 ERA in 16 starts against St. Louis. The Cardinals will start Miles Mikolas (7-10. 4.19) against the Cubs and he is 3-1 with a 1.88 ERA lifetime record against them. Chicago has lost Hendricks' last three starts although he has surrendered just 10 hits in 18 innings but has had a lack of support getting just 3.2 runs per start. This time he gets some runs to work with against a struggling Mikolas. Take CHICAGO! |
07-31-19 | Giants v. Phillies -131 | Top | 5-1 | Loss | -131 | 8 h 4 m | Show |
San Francisco at Philadelphia 7:05 ET Phillies over Giants- Through the years Giants starter Jeff Samardzija (7-8, 3.95 ERA) has pitched in the 'bigs' he has been a go-against starter that should be 'faded' whenever 'you' get the chance. This season with five-runs per start support he still can't manage to post a winning record although he is 3-1 with a 2.48 ERA in July. His lifetime record against the Phillies (remember they have been a bad team) is 2-5 with an ERA of 8.51 and a WHIP of 1.65. Philadelphia starts inconsistent Vince Velasquez (3-5, 4.46) who posted his first win in two months last time out but has held opponents to a .226 batting average at Citizens Bank Park. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
07-30-19 | Cubs -118 v. Cardinals | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -118 | 10 h 27 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at St. Louis 8:15 ET Cubs over Cardinals- Baseball's hottest NL rivalry continues tonight as the Cardinals host the Cubs. The odd thing about this encounter is that the League's worst road team Chicago (8-20 last 28) is favored with a starter that has been a major disappointment. Yu Darvish (3-4, 4.54 ERA) takes the hill for the Cubbies and he hasn't been as bad as his 'numbers' might show. He has allowed just 91 hits in 115 innings of work and has been sharp since the All-Star break with a ERA of 2.00 in 18 innings. St. Louis will counter with Adam Wainwright (7-7, 4.63) who is 16-12 lifetime against Chicago and is still an underdog at home..this smells. Take the CUBS! |

Meanwhile, Merrill Kelly (7-10, 4.22) the Diamondbacks starter has struggle of late and is 0-4 in his last seven starts and was shelled for seven runs, eight hits including three homers in 2 1/3 innings Tuesday against Baltimore. Take MIAMI! |
07-28-19 | Pirates v. Mets -125 | Top | 7-8 | Win | 100 | 3 h 55 m | Show |
Pittsburgh at New York Mets 1:10 ET Mets over Pirates- A pair of clubs who are moving in opposite directions as Pittsburgh whose season looked so bright entering the All-Star break has dropped seven straight and 13 of their last 16 while the Mets who were 40-50 at the break have won three straight and nine of their last 13. The Pirates will start Chris archer (3-7, 5.40 ERA) who has been a major disappointment for the Bucs is winless in his last eight starts while New York starts veteran Jason Vargas (5-5, 3.96) who allowed just one hit at San Diego on Tuesday and is 2-2 with a 2.68 ERA against the Pirates holding opponents to a .201 average in his last seven starts. Take the M-E-T-S! |

Arizona at Miami 6:10 ET Marlins over Diamondbacks- A pair of stellar rookies face-off as the Marlins send Jordan Yamamoto (4-1, 2.61 ERA) against Arizona's Alex Young (3-0, 2.38). Yamamoto is 2-0 at Marlins Park with a 2.25 ERA in 16 innings and had won his first four decisions before the Dodgers beat him last time out. Young like his counterpart is coming off of his worst performance allowing four runs and three walks in four innings against Milwaukee. The home team get it done here. Take MIAMI! |
07-26-19 | Giants v. Padres -139 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -139 | 11 h 60 m | Show |
San Francisco at San Diego 10:10 ET Padres over Giants- This one seems a bit difficult to chew as it is difficult to accept the Giants as an underdog with the way that they have been playing and the fact that San Diego has lost six straight home games. The Padres will start Joey Lucchesi (7-5, 4.27 ERA) who is coming off of his worst outing getting shelled by these Giants for seven runs. San Francisco starts veteran Jeff Samardzija (7-8, 4.08) who has never really panned out in the 'Bigs' as his record indicates. The Giants have won 19 of their last 27 and the Padres have lost nine of their last 13 and the fact that San Diego is favored by this much tells 'us' they are the side. Take the PADRES! |
07-24-19 | Yankees -114 v. Twins | Top | 10-7 | Win | 100 | 10 h 50 m | Show |
New York Yankees at Minnesota 8:10 ET Yankees over Twins- The Yankees finally broke out and instructed Minnesota on real power hitting exploding for 14 runs and preventing a three game losing streak. Tonight, they send the disappointing (according to the NY press) AJ Happ (8-5, 4.86 ERA) to the hill who broke a three-game losing streak last time out defeating the Rockies last Friday. Minnesota, starts Jake Odorizzi (11-4, 3.18) who is 7-8 with a 4.06 ERA against the Yankees but will meet a squad that believes every game is important. Take NEW YORK! |
07-23-19 | Cubs -111 v. Giants | Top | 4-5 | Loss | -111 | 10 h 4 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at San Francisco 9:45 ET Cubs over Giants- Somehow the Giants just keep winning and have taken nine of their last 10 encounters from their opponents. The idea during the All-Star break was to trade ace Madison Bumgarner (5-7, 3.65 ERA) for a slue of players from the Yankees, but New York will not give up any of their young talent that already has them in first place. So, he remains a Giant as they make their second half push. Chicago will start Yu Darvish (3-4, 4.46) who ended his 13-start winless streak on Wednesday pitching six scoreless innings against the Reds and looking to start a 'new' winning streak. Tonight Darvish get his second streak win. Take the CUBS! |
07-22-19 | Rangers v. Mariners -110 | Top | 3-7 | Win | 100 | 13 h 19 m | Show |
Texas at Seattle 10:10 ET Seahawks over Rangers- So, now its the Rangers turn to take a dive and they have lost their last seven and travel to play the AL's worst team record since the third week of the season and are 3-15 in their last 18 games overall. The numbers may seem grim on both sides of the ledger but the Mariners have their winningest pitcher in Marco Gonzales (10-8, 4.48 ERA) against the Texas teams that is averaging eight runs in seven game against Seattle but it won't matter tonight. Take SEATTLE! |
07-22-19 | Yankees -114 v. Twins | Top | 6-8 | Loss | -114 | 11 h 8 m | Show |
New York Yankees at Minnesota 8:10 ET Yankees over Twins- This always happens with the Yankees, the just seem to get enough done and are consistent enough to stay away from a long losing streak. Tonight they send what many consider their weak link in CC Sabathia's (5-4, 4.06 ET) who has struggled on the road with a 1-3 mark with a 5.84 ERA. Minnesota starts Martin Perez (8-3, 4.10) who like most Twins teams post terrible numbers against the Yankees as he is – with a 9.68 ERA and 1.98 WHIP. Sabathia is 20-9 in 39 career starts against the Twins and New York is 12-2 in CC's last 14 starts against Minny. Take the YANKEES! |
07-21-19 | Mets v. Giants -120 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 4 h 17 m | Show |
New York Mets at San Francisco 4:05 ET Giants over Mets- Man, this one came up a little 'late' otherwise' it could have been the top-play of the day. Oh, do I 'love' this spot...The Mets are mutts and one of the biggest among them is this 'cunny-thummer' Steven Matz (5-6, 4.87 ERA) who has surrendered more hits than innings pitched and has just seven K's in his last 1 innings. Take the GIANTS... |
07-21-19 | Rangers v. Astros -135 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 5 h 31 m | Show |
Texas at Houston 2:10 ET Astros over Rangers- It is said that after the All-star break the leagues start to separate the 'contenders from the pretenders' and it couldn't be more evident than what we are seeing out of their two Lone Star state rivals. Houston has moved out in front of their division and has won their last four games while the Rangers have lost their last six. Even Texas' ace Lance Lynn (12-5, 3.87 ERA) who is tied for the lead in AL victories has been affected having his personal six-game win streak ended surrendering five runs and eights hits his last time out. Houston will start rookie Rogelio Armenteros who gets his first MLB start and is facing a team that has struck-out 10 times or more in 12 of their last 15 games. Add that the Astros are 48-20 in their last 68 home games. Take HOUSTON! |
07-20-19 | Edmonton v. Montreal +6 | Top | 10-20 | Win | 100 | 7 h 44 m | Show |
Edmonton at Montreal 4:00 ET Alouettes (+) over Eskimos- “Break-up the Alouettes” that cry has yet to be heard in the Great North as Montreal has posted a pair of heavy underdog upsets over Hamilton and Ottawa and is now 2-2. Edmonton opened the season with a 32-25 win over the Alouettes continuing their mastery of Montreal inning the last five meetings straight-up and going 5-0 ATS in the last five road meetings. The Alou's have a much improved offense and will score enough to get the money here. Take MONTREAL! |
07-19-19 | Phillies v. Pirates -103 | Top | 6-1 | Loss | -103 | 8 h 13 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Pittsburgh 7:05 ET Pirates over Phillies- Philadelphia defeated the Dodgers yesterday in what was ban emotional come-from-behind win scoring four runs in the seventh inning with Bryce Harper leading the way. Former Cy Young Award winner Jake Arrieta (8-7, 4.54 ERA) who is 13-6 with a 2.99 ERA against Pittsburgh is well short of his 2015 form struggling on the road where he is 3-5, 4.81 ERA. Pittsburgh will start Jordan Lyles (5-6, 5.16) who is 0-5 with a 10.13 ERA in his last seven starts and is 1-1 with a 3. ERA in 10 appearances against the Phillies. But the 'price' is way short as the Phillies are 4-9 in their last 13 road games and the Pirates although 1-5 since the All-Star break (had won 12 of 17 before) they are 9-2 in their last 11 home games...take PITTSBURGH! |
07-18-19 | Cardinals v. Reds -121 | Top | 7-4 | Loss | -121 | 9 h 49 m | Show |
St. Louis at Cincinnati 7:10 ET Reds over Cardinals- Some of the trends surrounding this selection may not be the most encouraging but there are times you have to see through what is presented. To start with St. Louis will start Dakota Hudson (8-4, 3.48 ERA) who is beginning to have control issues but the Cardinals are 9-1 in his last 10 starts as the Red Birds have shown support for him when needed most including a pair of winning starts against the Reds this season. Cincinnati will start Tanner Roark (5-6, 3.99) who has faced the Cardinals once this season allowing just one run in 5.1 innings. This time...take CINCINNATI! |
07-17-19 | White Sox v. Royals -128 | Top | 5-7 | Win | 100 | 10 h 49 m | Show |
Chicago White Sox at Kansas City 8:10 ET Royals over White Sox- Chicago has had trouble making contact the last two days against the Royals recording double-digits strikeouts in consecutive games. Kansas City who has won four of five has cliched their first home stand series win this season and will start Danny Duffy (3-5, 4.64 ERA) who is in the mist of a nine start winless streak going 0-4 but still comes up the favorite here. Ivan Nova (4-8, 5.60) gets the start for Chicago and he has just one win in his last nine starts. Duffy is 9-6 with a 4.09 ERA in 22 career starts against the White Sox and picks up the win here. Take KANSAS CITY! |
07-15-19 | Braves v. Brewers -104 | Top | 4-2 | Loss | -104 | 11 h 47 m | Show |
Atlanta at Milwaukee 8:10 ET Brewers over Braves- Atlanta leads the NL East by seven full games and ill be sending Max Fried (9-4, 4.29 ERA) to the hill against Milwaukee who will counter with Adrian Houser (2-3, 4.01) who is making his sixth start of the season. The Braves are 34-16 in their last 50 games and are 21-8 in their last 29 road games while the Brewers who started quickly are now on the outside looking in as far as they playoffs are concerned by going 21-27 but are 28-21 at home. Fried's nine wins are impressive but Atlanta has provided him with 6.6 runs per start the highest in the NL for a starter as he has surrendered 110 hits in 98.2 innings. The Brewers like playing after the weekend going 0-7 on Mondays. I don't know how much that means but they are the side here. Take MILWAUKEE! |
07-14-19 | Dodgers v. Red Sox +101 | Top | 7-4 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 18 m | Show |
L.A. Dodgers at Boston 7:05 ET Red Sox over Dodgers- The Dodgers finally posted a win in Fenway Park Saturday after dropping three straight there including a pair of losses in the 2018 World Series. Tonight, they will start the NL's best this season Hyun-Jin Ryu (10-2, 1.73 ERA) who owns the leagues lowest ERA but had a bad experience in Boston last October yielding four runs, six hits in 4.2/3 innings receiving the loss. David Price (7-2, 3.24) who won that day by allowing just two runs in six innings and also picked up the win in Game 5 allowing just one run, three hits in seven innings. Minnesota at Cleveland 7:10 ET Indians over Twins- The Twins are making their mark in the AL Central this season and are trying to leave the Indians in the dust and will start their winningest hurler in Jake Ordorizzi (10-4, 3.15 ERA) Saturday evening. His mound opponent will be the Indians best in Trevor Bauer (8-6, 3.61) who is a heavy favorite and that has raised some eyebrows. Upon looking closer we see that Ordorizzi has struggled in his last three starts lasting only 12.1 innings allowing 16 hits with an 8.76 ERA. Bauer meanwhile, is 3-0 in his last three starts and has surrendered just 104 hits in 132 innings. The Indians have won 19 of their last 26 and get the victory here. Take CLEVELAND |

Hamilton at Montreal 7:30 ET Alouettes (+) over Tigers-Cats- Hamilton enters this contest 3-0 both straight-up and ATS while the Alouettes have yet to win (0-2) and lost to the Tiger-Cats 41-10 last week at Hamilton. Montreal has had their issues but in the second of back-to-back games after getting destroyed last week will adjust and the Tiger-Cats will be a bit cocky and my get caught here. Take MONTREAL |

Philadelphia at Atlanta 7:20 ET Phillies over Braves- It looks as though these two will battle through the season to decide the NL East winner and right now the Braves have the advantage. Tonight, Philadelphia will start Nick Pivetta (4-2, 5.62) who has provided mixed results since being sent down to Triple-A and then brought back up to the 'Bigs' and is 0-1 with a 7.13 ERA in his last three starts. But, Pivetta is 4-1 with a 3.48 ERA in 10 career starts against Atlanta. Bryse Wilson will get his second start for the Braves but may struggle here as the Phillies are 8-2 in the last 10 meetings. Take PHILADELPHIA! |

Philadelphia at Atlanta 7:05 Phillies over Braves- Atlanta now holds a 5.5 game lead over the Phillies who many expected to run away with the NL East after their quick start. The turn abut happened in June when the Braves went 20-6 while Philadelphia had their June swoon and was 11-16. Atlanta has gotten serious about the season adding Dallas Keuchel (1-1, 5.60 ERA) who is 1-0 with a 0.73 ERA in two starts. The Phils will start ace Arron Nola (6-2, 4.22) and with Bryce Harper swinging a hot bat again they will burn the Braves in Atlanta. Take PHILADELPHIA! |

Atlanta at New York Mets 4:10 ET Mets over Braves- The Mets have become the laughing stock of MLB as they are proving to be as inept on the field as they are in the front office. New York has now lost six straight and will be sending Steven Matz (5-6, 4.85 ERA) to the hill and he has been rocked in each of his last two starts giving up seven runs and 10 hits last time out. |||||||
06-28-19 | Braves v. Mets -135 | Top | 6-2 | Loss | -135 | 6 h 26 m | Show |
Atlanta at New York Mets 7:10 Mets over Braves- The MLB 'joke' of the year without question is the New York Mets. They are as dysfunctional as a big league team can get with management pulling unorthodox stunts to players beating up in-laws and players not getting on the field to play because of personal issues. The Mets have lost five straight as their 'bullpen' blew two-runs leads in four straight games and own the 3rd worst record in the NL only Miami and San Francisco have less wins. Tonight, defending Cy Young Award winner Jacob deGrom (4-6, 3.25 ERA) gets the nod against rookie Mike Soroka (8-1, 2.07) who is unbeaten since April 18. Mets starter deGrom has allowed two runs or fewer in seventh straight game and helps the Mets break their losing streak. Take NEW YORK METS! |

Edmonton and Winnipeg 8:30 ET Blue Bombers over Eskimos- Both these clubs are undefeated in the early going as Edmonton has won their first two contests both at home and now travel to Winnipeg to play the 1-0 Blue Bombers. Winnipeg opened with a 10-point win at Vancouver and have had an extra week to prepare coming off of a bye week. The Bombers take advantage of the added time and will be ready to win their home opener. Take WINNIPEG! |
06-26-19 | Rays -103 v. Twins | Top | 4-6 | Loss | -103 | 9 h 38 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at Minnesota 8:15 Rays over Twins- Two of the AL's top hurlers this season square off in Minnesota where the surprising first-place Twins host the upstart Rays. Tampa Bay will start veteran Charlie Morton (8-1, 2.31 ERA) who leads the AL in ERA and is 2-0 lifetime against the Twins while Minnesota will start Jake Ordoizzo (8-3, 2.31) who had won 10-straight prior to his last start last Thursday and is 1-0 lifetime with a 4.38 ERA against his former club. The streak is over and the karma's gone. Take TAMPA BAY! |
06-25-19 | Rays -105 v. Twins | Top | 4-9 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 40 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at Minnesota 8:10 ET Rays over Twins- Minnesota has dropped five of their last eight but still lead the AL Central by a comfortable margin and return home after a four-game split in Kansas City where the leagues' top scoring team was held to one-run twice. Tampa Bay who trail the Yankees after swept three games in New York by the Yankees leads the AL with a team ERA of 3.20. The Rays are 4-9 in their last 13 contests and will send Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell (4-6, 4.40 ERA) to the mound and he looks to rebound from his worst career start ever surrendering six rubs while getting just one out. Kyle Gibson (7-4, 4.18) who is starting for the Twins is 3-5 with a 5.22 ERA lifetime against the Rays. Take TAMPA BAY! |
06-23-19 | Mets -105 v. Cubs | Top | 3-5 | Loss | -105 | 4 h 21 m | Show |
New York Mets at Chicago Cubs 2:00 ET Mets over Cubs- The Mets won their second straight pounding the Cubs 10-3 Saturday (Money Game winner) while Chicago dropped their 2nd straight. Cy Young Award holder Jacob deGrom (4-6, 3.26 ERA) ended a six-game winless streak but has had eight quality start in his last 10 outings. Cole Hamels (6-2, 2.85) has been outstanding in his last four starts allowing just two runs on just 17 hits in 29 innings. I have issue with deGrom opening the favorite in Chicago as he has never won a game in Wrigley Field but Hamels is 9-14 lifetime against the Mets. Take NEW YORK! |
06-22-19 | Braves v. Nationals -114 | Top | 13-9 | Loss | -114 | 8 h 25 m | Show |
Atlanta at Washington 7:15 ET Nationals over Braves- In a surprise the Nationals are just a game under the break-even mark (37-38) and have won five straight and will host first place Atlanta who have won 11 of their last 14. The Braves will start last year's hard throwing sensation Mike Foltynewicz (2-5, 5.53 ERA) who was 3-2 with a 2.35 ERA in five starts last season. Washington will start Anibal Sanchez (3-6, 3.84) who is 3-0 with a 1.54 ERA since returning from the IL. Last year Sanchez was 7-6 with a 2.83 ERA in 19 starts with the Braves. This time around he beats them. Take WASHINGTON! |
06-21-19 | Angels -105 v. Cardinals | Top | 1-5 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 46 m | Show |
L.A. Angels at St. Louis 8:15 ET Angels over Cardinals- Okay, it seems that the media insists on making Albert Pujols the story-line of his return to St. Louis since leaving after the 2010 season. Geez, guys, the storyline about a used-up PED user that got away scot free. The Cardinals through the years have been known for their solid play and basic fundamentals and this club seems to be a little different. Errors and misplays seen to be a part of their everyday experience. Michael Wacha (4-3. 6.00 ERA) is coming off of another poor performance and has allowed six runs in three of his last five starts. The Angels will start rookie Griffin Channing (2-3, 3.93) who is making his first appearance against the National League and he gets the win here. Take LA ANGELS! |
06-21-19 | Braves v. Nationals -139 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 32 m | Show |
Atlanta at Washington 7:05 ET Nationals over Braves- Today's the day that Dallas Keuchel who signed a two-year $21.2 million dollar contract finally makes his 2019 debut for his new club the Atlanta Braves. In three career starts against the Nationals Keuchel is 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA while Washington will start Steven Strasburg (7-4, 3.73 ERA) and he is 12-11 lifetime against the Braves. I just don't see Keuchel being very effective as the Nationals have won eight of their last 11. Take WASHINGTON! |
06-20-19 | Rays +103 v. A's | Top | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 51 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at Oakland 10:07 ET Rays over A's- Tampa Bay has the best road record in MLB despite getting rocked three straight at Yankee Stadium getting out-scored 21-4 and have lost seven of their last nine games and are still 23-13 away from home. Traveling west may be the change of scenery needed to break out of their mini slump and the Rays will start veteran Charlie Morton (8-1, 2.37 ERA) who blanked the A's over seven innings allowing just two hits on June 10. Oakland will start ace Frankie Montas (9-2, 2.85) and he is 5-0 in his last eight starts and has allowed three runs or less in 13 of 14 starts. Yet, I look for the Rays to sting here. Take TAMPA BAY! |
06-19-19 | White Sox v. Cubs -145 | Top | 3-7 | Win | 100 | 9 h 40 m | Show |
Chicago WS at Chicago Cubs 8:05 ET Cubs over White Sox- Can this be right? The best pitcher in baseball this season Lucas Giolito (10-1, 2.22 ERA) is a heavy underdog against the struggling veteran Jon Lester (5-5, 4.08). Giolito has an ERA of 0.94 ERA during his current nine-game winning streak but is 1-1, with a 5.48 ERA in two starts against the Cubs and and ERA of 6.13 in 32 starts last season. Lester is 9-6 with a 4.13 ERA lifetime against the White Sox. The high 'price' drives me to the 'Baby Bears.' Take CUBS! |
06-18-19 | Mets -118 v. Braves | Top | 10-2 | Win | 100 | 8 h 2 m | Show |
New York Mets at Atlanta 7:20 ET Mets over Braves- This could end up a strong pitchers duel if managers here allow today's starters to go more then four innings. New York's Cy Young Award winner Jacob deGrom (3-6. 3.38 ERA) will get the nod and he has been a victim of poor support as his mates are scoring just 3.7 runs per start and are 4-10 in his starts. Atlanta will start Julio Teheran (5-4, 2.92) and the Braves are 10-5 in his starts and he is 10-7 with a 2.35 ERA against the Mets but that might not be good enough. deGrom has an incredible 1.86 ERA against the Bravos in 18 career starts. Take M-E-T-S! |
06-17-19 | Astros v. Reds -118 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 56 m | Show |
Houston at Cincinnati 7:10 ET Reds over Astros- Houston was pounded at home Sunday 12-0 by Toronto and have not had back-to-back losses in four weeks. They will send Wade Miley (6-3, 3.14 ERA) to the mound who is 5-2 with a 2.89 ERA in 10 career appearances at the Great American Ball Park and yet the best in the AL is an underdog here. Cincinnati will start Luis Castillo (6-1, 2.20) who has allowed just one earned run in his each of his last three starts and has surrendered just 51 hits in 82 innings of work this season and is 3-1 with a 1.87 ERA in seven home starts. Take CINCINNATI! |
06-16-19 | Rangers v. Reds -170 | Top | 3-11 | Win | 100 | 4 h 35 m | Show |
Texas at Cincinnati 1:10 ET Reds over Rangers- The 'price' of this contest raises some eyebrows as the Reds open a prohibited favorite. Now, I can understand Cincinnati having a small home field edge (15-17) and have a struggling starter in Sonny Gray (2-5, 3.65 ERA) but, this is outrageously high. Texas is hot having won 13-of-19 and have won the first two games of this series and will start Ariel Jurado (4-2, 3.02) who has had four straight quality starts. But, Gray is 8-3 with a 2.72 ERA in 14 career appearances against the Rangers. Take CINCINNATI! |
06-14-19 | Yankees -105 v. White Sox | Top | 2-10 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 0 m | Show |
New York Yankees at Chicago White Sox 8:10 ET Yankees over White Sox- The Yankees have dropped their last two and seven of their last 10 and are beginning to show a need for some of the 15 players placed on the IL to return. Chicago has won four of five 10-of-15 and will send their best Lucas Giolito (9-1, 2.28 ERA) to the mound and he hasn't given up a run in his last 22 innings. New York will send CC Sabathia (3-3, 3.96) to the hill and he is 19-7 lifetime against the White Sox in 38 career starts including 10-2 at Comiskey Park. This is why New York is favored. Take the YANKEES! |
06-13-19 | Raptors v. Warriors -135 | Top | 114-110 | Loss | -135 | 11 h 15 m | Show |
Toronto at Golden State 9:00 ET Warriors over Raptors- Some teams just know how to win and the Warriors are one of those teams and some teams just don't get it done when it counts most and that is the Raptors. Toronto had a six point lead with two minutes to go against the Warriors last time out and the Championship seem just about sewn up when they decide to call an unnecessary time-out which gave the Warriors time to regroup. As the newest 'Greatest player to ever play they game' (Kawhi Leonard) becomes invisible as the championship slips away. With or with out Durant take the WARRIORS! |
06-13-19 | Blue Jays -130 v. Orioles | Top | 12-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 52 m | Show |
Toronto at Baltimore 7:05 ET Blue Jays over Orioles- The Blue Jays scored only eight runs during their five-game losing streak and managed to put up that number yesterday in 'our' 8-6 Megabucks winner. Today, Marcus Stroman (3-8, 3.31 ERA) who is looking to rebound from his worst performance of the year surrendering six runs against Colorado. Baltimore will start Gabriel Ynoa (0-2, 4.96) and he is 0-1 with a 4.24 ERA at home. Take TORONTO! |
06-12-19 | Blues v. Bruins -145 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -145 | 10 h 14 m | Show |
St. Louis at Boston 8:00 ET Bruins over Blues- I stated after the first round of the NHL playoffs that the path for the Bruins has been laid out. With the top team in the Eastern Conference getting booted early (Tampa Bay) Boston became the favorite. St. Louis has had a fine run coming from where they did, having the NHL's worst record heading into the New Year. But, calling up goalie Joran Binnington was the key factor for the Blues but the Bruins have veteran Tuukka Rask between the pipes and he will be the difference. Take BOSTON! |
06-11-19 | Blue Jays -114 v. Orioles | Top | 2-4 | Loss | -114 | 8 h 19 m | Show |
Toronto at Baltimore 7:05 ET Blue Jays over Orioles- There are some bad teams in MLB that play bad baseball and these tare two of them. Baltimore had the worst record in baseball (115 losses) last season and are in the same position again and are 10-29 since their last series win. Toronto meanwhile has lost four straight failing to score more than two runs in any of those games and have dropped 14 of 17. Yet, the Blue Jays are favored on the road here. They will start Trent Thornton (1-4, 4.73 ERA) who it took nine starts before he notched his first victory and has pitched six innings on thee times in 13 starts. Yet, he is favored. The Orioles will start John Means (5-4, 2.67) has been the O's most effective hurler and is 3-1 at Camden yards and yet bis an underdog. Take TORONTO! |
06-10-19 | Dodgers v. Angels +153 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 153 | 11 h 9 m | Show |
L.A. Dodgers at L.A. Angels 10:07 ET Angels over Dodgers- The Dodgers Hyun-Jin Ryu (9-1, 1.35 ERA) has been the most dominate pitcher in baseball and is off of a 9-0 win over Arizona pitching seven shutout innings and is 7-0 with a 0.75 ERA since his lone loss. The Dodgers have won 13 of their last 16 and have the best record in baseball while the Angels have dropped six of their last 10 games. They will start Griffin Canning (2-2, 3.52) who has a career high with eight strikeouts in six innings against Oakland last Tuesday and has a 42-10 strikeout to walk ratio in his seven career starts. In a surprise that the ANGELS! |
06-10-19 | Warriors +2 v. Raptors | Top | 106-105 | Win | 100 | 11 h 37 m | Show |
Golden State at Toronto 9:00 ET Warriors (+) over Raptors- All season long we have been waiting for the Warriors to turn it on and now they have no choice. If course injuries have taken its toll on Golden State and playing in five straight finals has them weary and dragging up and down the court. Toronto appears fresh and ready to go as their energy level seems to have increased as the series moves on. The front court duo of Curry and Thompson has been in synch for the most part but Cousins and Green need more production. They get it tonight! Take GOLDEN STATE! |
