09-20-18 | Red Sox v. Yankees -160 | Top | 11-6 | Loss | -160 | 9 h 58 m | Show |
Boston at New York Yankees 7:50 ET Yankees over Red Sox- I guess 'turn-about-is-fair-play' and the Yankees look to atone for their four game disaster at Fenway Park in August. Boston need one more win to clinch the AL East but the Yankees are making them suffer a bit as they look to sweep this three-game series at Yankee Stadium. Masahiro Tanaka (1205, 3.47 ERA) has a current 20 inning scoreless streak and has allowed two earned runs or fewer in nine of his last 11 starts and he is 8-4 in 17 career starts against the Red Sox. Aaron Judge is back and that makes the Yankees that much better. Take NEW YORK! |
09-19-18 | Cubs v. Diamondbacks -105 | Top | 0-9 | Win | 100 | 11 h 29 m | Show |
Chicago at Arizona 9:40 ET Diamondbacks over Cubs- Just when the games become most meaningful the Diamondbacks are hitting the skids and not baseballs as they have lost their last four while the Cubs who are struggling with relief pitcher injuries are keeping pace. Chicago is set to start Cole Hamels (9-9, 3.67 ERA) who is 4-0 since coming over from Texas with a 1.57 ERA. Arizona will start Robbie Ray (5-2, 4.14) who is 2-0 in his last 11 starts. The Cubs may not need their relief pitchers as their starters have a 2.53 ERA since August 16 but they won't have enough tonight. Take ARIZONA! |
09-18-18 | Cubs -107 v. Diamondbacks | Top | 9-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 42 m | Show |
Chicago at Arizona 9:40 ET Cubs over Diamondbacks- Just when the games become most meaningful the Diamondbacks are hitting the skids and not baseballs as they have lost their last three while the Cubs who are struggling with relief pitcher injuries are keeping pace. Chicago is set to start Mike Montgomery (4-5, 3.87 ERA) who has a 1.69 ERA against Arizona while the D'Backs will start Matt Andriese (3-5, 4.76). The Cubs may not need their relief pitchers as their starters have a 2.53 ERA since August 16. Take CHICAGO! |
09-16-18 | Dodgers -145 v. Cardinals | Top | 0-5 | Loss | -145 | 10 h 58 m | Show |
LA Dodgers at St. Louis 8:05 ET Dodgers over Cardinals- In the tight NL Wild Card chase the Dodgers in three days have gone for the outside looking in to the top spot in the West. Los Angels has now won four straight while St. Louis has taken a different road and have lost their last four. A pair of pitchers recently off the disabled list take the hill tonight, for the Dodgers it will be Ross Stripling (8-3, 2.61 ERA) and for the Cardinals it is Adam Wainwright (1-3, 4.70). For LA ,Stripling is making his eighth straight road start and just his second since off the DL while Wainwright is also making just his second start off the DL. The Cards started haven't made it back yet as he is 0-2 with a 5.74 ERA in three starts at home. Take the DODGERS! |
09-16-18 | Chiefs v. Steelers -4.5 | Top | 42-37 | Loss | -125 | 20 h 47 m | Show |
Kansas City at Pittsburgh 1:00 ET Steelers (-) over Chiefs- I don't quite understand why the rush to pay against the Steelers. Could be the response of then tie against Cleveland or many be more the absence of 'what's his name.' interceptions and six overall turnovers are the explanation. Pittsburgh has a 14-point lead in the fourth but gave up the ball and came away with the tie, and they will be more then ready against the Chiefs this week. But, ha here comes the Chiefs on the warpath with fearless leader Pat Mahomes who threw for four TD's last week. In a matter of performances the Steelers out-gained the Browns by 155 yards while Kansas City although a winner were out-gained by 180 yards. LAY IT...PITTSBURGH! |
09-15-18 | Arizona State v. San Diego State +6 | Top | 21-28 | Win | 100 | 30 h 25 m | Show |
Arizona State at San Diego State 10:30 ET Aztecs (+) over Sun Devils- Do Sun Devils come out at night...not this week! There are some many reasons to be 'against' Arizona State (Herm Edwards aside). Rocky Long's San Diego State squad is a little banged-up but he always manages to have his troops ready when playing against the PAC-12 where he is 5-1-1 ATS as a home dog. Note, that ASU is 1-5 ATS in their last six against the Mountain West and worst then that for them they fall into a 8-27 ATS go 'against' trend being 2-0 SU and favored on the road in Game 3. Take SAN DIEGO STATE! |
09-15-18 | Houston v. Texas Tech +2 | Top | 49-63 | Win | 100 | 22 h 57 m | Show |
Houston at Texas Tech 4:15 ET Red Raiders (+) over Cougars- Both clubs will look to run you to death and I don't mean with a ground game I mean with the pace of play. Houston has posted 45 points in each of their wins over Rice and Arizona while Texas Tech scored 77 against under-manned Lamar after opening with a loss to Mississippi 47-27. The Cougars prefer natural grass as they are 0-8 ATS in last eight on Field Turf but will have junior QB D'Eriq King who has 10 TD in two games. The Red Raiders will counter with their two-headed QB attack and a better defense. Take TEXAS TECH! |
09-15-18 | LSU v. Auburn -10 | Top | 22-21 | Loss | -115 | 21 h 25 m | Show |
Louisiana State at Auburn 3:30 ET Home Team Tigers (-) over Visiting Tigers- There isn't one person that I've met that doesn't think this line is out of whack. They all insist the proper line would have Auburn a 3-4 point favorite and that is why this game caught my attention. Here we have LSU pummeling Miami on National TV and then shutting out SE Louisiana 31-0 now a virtual 10-point underdog against a team rated at their level. In head-to-head action the home team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and LSU in 0-4 ATS in their last four visits to Jordan-Hare Stadium. I expect Auburn t get off to a quick start and then apply pressure as the game continues as they have allowed just three first quarter touchdowns in the last 21 games. A heavy load to bare but I have to LAY-IT and you should too. Take AUBURN! |
09-15-18 | Dodgers -127 v. Cardinals | Top | 17-4 | Win | 100 | 3 h 60 m | Show |
LA Dodgers at St. Louis 1:15 ET Dodgers over Cardinals- The Dodgers have picked up the pace winning their last three as they continue looking up at the Rockies and Diamondbacks on the outside in as far as the NL playoffs are concerned. These two have identical record but in realistic terms only Los Angeles has a viable chance for the postseason. Rich Hill (8-5, 3.88 ERA) will start for Da' Bums while John Gant (7-5, 3.16) gets the nod for the Birds. The Dodgers are 'hot' and will continue their chase in theWest with a win here. Take LOS ANGELES! |
09-15-18 | Hawaii v. Army -6 | Top | 21-28 | Win | 100 | 89 h 34 m | Show |
Hawaii at Army Sat Noon ET Cadets (-) over Rainbows- I can't emphasize how ridiculous this game looks 'to me' after sharing with you the 'set-up' here. Here's how it starts, Hawaii comes East 3-0 averaging 49-points per contest and defeated the Navy in Hawaii as a 10-point dog 59-41. So, we know when Army and Navy are to be rated in the last three decades that you would start with Navy as a 10-point favorite and then work form there. Now, this may be a part of National Pride with the understanding that there is a rivalry between the Cadets and Middies but in essence the Rainbows have beaten 'one of our own'. For the Army to open as a 7-point favorite if a farce after what Hawaii has done. 'It Don't Make Sense'...Take ARMY! |
09-14-18 | Dodgers -120 v. Cardinals | Top | 3-0 | Win | 100 | 6 h 49 m | Show |
Los Angeles at St. Louis 8:15 ET Dodgers over Cardinals- The Dodgers remain 1-game back in the Wild Card race and are currently on the outside looking in. Yet, last night when discussing the NL chances in the World Series most of the opinions were that the Dodgers were the best match-up against either Houston or Boston. Doesn't it seem strange that they would 'like' a team that may not even qualify for the post season. St. Louis who leads LA by that single game is just 5-7 in September after a 22-6 August and will start Jack Flaherty (8-6, 2.92 ERA) who is 4-0 in his last seven starts. LA will start (Oh I love this guy) Walker Buehler (6-5, 3.09) who was knocked around by the Rockies in his last start. He redeems himself here. Take the DODGERS! |
09-14-18 | BC v. Montreal +4 | Top | 32-14 | Loss | -118 | 5 h 44 m | Show |
British Columbia at Montreal 7:30 Alouettes (+) over Lions- With the 'curse' over Montreal has become a more competitive club winning their last two and three games (3-8) straight-up and 5-6 ATS. These two opened the season at BC and the Lions (-9) win 22-10 and they have won and covered the last five meetings. Montreal has the confidence needed with two wins and are off a bye week. It's just a spot for the home club. Take MONTREAL! |
09-11-18 | Indians v. Rays +103 | Top | 2-0 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 27 m | Show |
Cleveland at Tampa Bay 7:10 ET Rays over Indians- Last April when the MLB season began I saw the Rays as one of the worst team on all of baseball, I thought that they were weak hitting and were slow afoot with virtually no pitching depth. So here we are now in mid-September with Tampa Bay behind Cleveland by just one game in the loss column but unfortunately for them they play on the AL East with the Red Sox and Yankees while the Indians lead the AL Central by over 15-games. The Rays have now won 12 straight games at home and playing indoors with the dingy lighting aids them more then most. As a small dog they have plenty of bite. Take TAMPA BAY! |
09-10-18 | Rams v. Raiders +5 | Top | 33-13 | Loss | -105 | 13 h 32 m | Show |
L.A. Rams at Oakland 10:20 ET Raiders (+) over Rams- Okay, the John Gruden Raiders Edition II starts tonight and this time it is supposed to be a 10-year rein. Of course the big stink in Oakland is that the Raiders allowed Khalil Mack to escape to Chicago for a pair of No. 1 picks that won't be able to help until they are in Las Vegas. Los Angeles signed their huge defensive holdout as Aaron Donald came to terms and returns to the club that won their division last season for the first time since 2003. The Raiders had a disappointing season last year falling to 6-10 as injuries took their toll. This time around Oakland surprises the Rams. Take the RAIDERS! |
09-09-18 | Cowboys +3 v. Panthers | Top | 8-16 | Loss | -100 | 28 h 47 m | Show |
Dallas at Carolina 4:25 ET Cowboys (+)over Panthers- It is sort of hard to remember the Cowboys were 13-3 in 2016 after what has happening to their 'playing' personnel since that time. Gone are Dez Bryant and Jason Witten some of their stronger offensive line a man and along with long time and veteran place kicker Dan Bailey. What remains is still worth mentioning as Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, linebacker Sean Lee and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence. The Cowboys has defeated Carolina five straight until their last meeting three years ago but Dallas is looking to bounce back from what both Elliott and Prescott admit were disappointing performances. Boy's shock the 'public' with a WIN here. Take DALLAS! |
09-08-18 | Michigan State -5 v. Arizona State | Top | 13-16 | Loss | -103 | 29 h 40 m | Show |
Michigan State at Arizona State 7:45 ET Spartans (-) over Sun Devils- Wow, what an adjustment the odds makers have done concerning Arizona State as they for the most part just totally disregard them after the hiring of Herm Edwards. They set the win total for the Sun Devils at 4.5 and that is real ranking them amount the lowest of major schools. ASU under Edwards pummeled Texas San Antonio 49-7 and really flexed their muscles to the point the odds makes moved this number down 2-points before it hit the board. Michigan stated who hands their hat on their defense surrendered 344 yards to Utah State and escaped with a 38-31 victory. I just really like this spot. Take SPARTANS! |
09-08-18 | USC +6 v. Stanford | Top | 3-17 | Loss | -107 | 26 h 7 m | Show |
USC at Stanford 8:30 ET Trojans (+) over Cardinals- These two rivals started the season in fine fashion playing close with their opponents for the first half before pulling away down the stretch. USC (-24) handled a 'game' UNLV squad 43-21 leading 19-14 heading into the final period before outscoring the Rebels 24-7 but not an ATS winner. Stanford like the Trojans started slowly and lead 9-7 at the half before running away from San Diego State cruising in the second half 22-3. Southern Cal holds a 62-32-3 series advantage winning last season 31-28 as a 3.5-point favorite. This time the 'cover' as the road 'Dog'. Take SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA! |
09-08-18 | Dodgers -134 v. Rockies | Top | 2-4 | Loss | -134 | 11 h 32 m | Show |
L.A. Dodgers at Colorado 8:10 ET Dodgers over Rockies- The Dodgers were expected to run away with the title in the NL West and find themselves trailing the Rockies by a half-game for the top spot and a full game behind in the Wild Card chase. Now. On the road against their most determined rival they are a strong favorite as Walker Buehler (6-4, 2.92 ERA) take the mound. Buehler's ERA is a meager 1.48 over his past seven starts and Los Angeles is 8-1 in their last nine games against NL West opponents. Colorado will send Kyle Freeland (13-7, 2.96) who is 7-1 with a 2.35 ERA (not bad) and is still the underdog according to oddsmakers. Tale the DODGERS! |
09-08-18 | Saskatchewan v. Winnipeg -3.5 | Top | 32-27 | Loss | -112 | 6 h 9 m | Show |
Saskatchewan at Winnipeg 4:00 ET Blue Bombers (-) over Roughriders- This is the second of a home-and home where Edmonton won not only last week but their last three games overall as well. Meanwhile the Blue Bombers have gone the opposite route losing their last three SU and ATS and now are favored by more then a field goal at home. If me, you and Sherman got into the Way-back Machine we would call this a 'Double-Play.' It's just a matter of 'numbers' and the way the schedules falls. Take WINNIPEG! |
09-07-18 | Ottawa +1.5 v. BC | Top | 14-26 | Loss | -102 | 11 h 22 m | Show |
Ottawa at British Columbia 10:10 ET Roughriders (+) over Lions- Ottawa leads the CFL East despite losing the the league worst last time out as Montreal humbled them 21-11 last Thursday. The Roughriders who are 20-6 ATS in their last 26 road games. B.C. Is off a bye but has only one win in their last five games and has dropped five of the last seven meetings. Straight-up the Lions defense surrenders too many points and Ottawa averages 403 yards per game. Take ROUGHRIDERS! |
09-07-18 | Astros -110 v. Red Sox | Top | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 16 m | Show |
Houston at Boston 7:10 ET Astros over Red Sox- These two clubs may end up facing each other for the AL title and Word Series spot as Boston roars through the league. So, when I see the Red Sox open as an underdog at home my eyebrows raise. Granted Houston is the defending World Series Champions but there is no way the should be favored here. David Price (14-6, 3.50 ERA) returns after missing one start after winning five straight in his last seven starts with an ERA of 1.62 since the all-Star break while Astros starter Gerrit Cole (13-5, 2.86) has 243 strikeouts this season. Even so Boston should not be a dog at Fenway with their 'hottest' pitcher on the hill. Take HOUSTON! |
09-06-18 | Falcons v. Eagles OVER 44.5 | Top | 12-18 | Loss | -107 | 10 h 3 m | Show |
Chip's Vegas Hotline Total Winner Falcons/Eagles (Over)- Now, think about this, during the pre-season Atlanta scored 0, 14, 6 and 7 points in their four games while Philadelphia scored 14, 20, 0 and 10 points in their four games. So neither teamed scored as many points in four games that the single game total is for this contest. I can give you stats that will be meaningless between these two clubs that played to a 15-10 Eagles win in the playoffs last season. There isn't one logical reason that anyone should play the 'over' except that I believe this is a trap and both clubs showed little offense during the pre-season and I expect them both to attack the goal line all night here. Play this game OVER! |
09-05-18 | Cardinals v. Nationals -117 | Top | 7-6 | Loss | -117 | 9 h 8 m | Show |
St. Louis at Washington 7:05 ET Nationals over Cardinals- Now that they have 'thrown in the towel' the Nationals are playing inspired baseball winning two of their last three contests in dramatic fashion including Monday's extra inning come-from-behind victory over St. Louis. Tonight, the Cardinals will send Miles Mikolas (13-4, 2.96 ERA) who has started to show some wear and tear as he has allowed seven runs and 20 hits in his last two starts covering just 9.2 innings. He has two career starts against Washington and is 0-1 with a 7.36 ERA in two starts. Take WASHINGTON! |
09-03-18 | Toronto v. Hamilton -9 | Top | 28-42 | Win | 100 | 8 h 2 m | Show |
Toronto at Hamilton 6:30 ET Tigers-Cats (-) over Argonauts- After their embarrassing loss to Montreal last week Toronto has turned to McLeod Bethel-Thompson as its new starting quarterback and added a wide receiver to the mix. Now, here is the rub, Hamilton is 2-4 straight-up and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six contests and yet they are a huge favorite here. When looking at the last five meetings we see that Toronto is 4-1 straight up and ATS and the Tiger-Cats haven won over Toronto by this point spread since. Number just don't add up. Take HAMILTON! |
09-03-18 | Giants v. Rockies -130 | Top | 8-9 | Win | 100 | 5 h 0 m | Show |
San Francisco at Colorado 3:10 ET Rockies over Giants- Colorado trails both the Dodgers and Diamondbacks by 1.5 games for the final Wild Card spot in the NL and open 10-game home stand where they will play three against the Dodgers and four against Arizona. But, first they must take care of business also ran Giants. San Francisco who is 29-40 on the road will start Madison Bumgarner (5-5, 2.68 ERA) while Colorado will start Tyler Anderson (6-7, 4.69). The Rockies have won five of the past six meetings and that is probably why the line is do high against Bumgarner. Giants weak hitting is their domed. Take COLORADO! |
09-02-18 | Diamondbacks v. Dodgers -168 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 5 h 18 m | Show |
Arizona at L.A. Dodgers 4:10 ET Dodgers over Diamondbacks- Late heroics were provided by Matt Kemp last night as his 3-run homer gave the Dodgers a 3-2 win and pulled them even with the Diamondbacks for the top spot in the NL West. With 26 games remaining for both clubs each leads Colorado by a half-game and the Wild Card is also in the mix. Arizona will start the rejuvenated Clay Buchholtz (7-2, 2.07 ERA) who is 6-1 with a 1.53 ERA in his last nine starts while the Dodgers will start hard throwing rookie Walker Buehler (6-4, 3.02) who was 2-0 with a 1.07 ERA in has last four starts in August. This time it's the DODGERS! |
09-01-18 | Michigan v. Notre Dame +1 | Top | 17-24 | Win | 100 | 24 h 48 m | Show |
Michigan at Notre Dame 4:30 ET Fighting Irish over Wolverines- What a way to start the season! No. 11 Notre Dame will host No. 14 Michigan and these two heavy weights haven't met since 2014 when the Irish pounded the Wolves 31-0 and have won five of the last six when playing as hosts. But with new coaches on both sides Michigan's Jim Harbaugh and Notre Dame Brian Kelly this game takes on an even larger ora. Michigan return 10 starters on defense the No. 13 ranked stop unit in NCAA action last season and have transfer quarterback Shea Peterson from Mississippi while the Irish return multi-talented Brandon Wimbush who can beat you in the air or on the ground. Notre Dame has won 25 of its last 31 openers and they only have to WIN here. Take NOTRE DAME! |
09-01-18 | Rays v. Indians -119 | Top | 5-3 | Loss | -119 | 9 h 39 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at Cleveland 7:10 ET Indians over Rays- In a scheduling oddity Tampa Bay and Cleveland a pair of American League clubs met each other for the just the second time Saturday and are off their first meeting Friday where the Indians prevailed 3-0. Tonight the Rays will start Blake Snell (16-5, 2.05 ERA) who is second in the Al in wins and ERA but was left off the original All-Star team selection but is being considered for the Cy Young Award. Cleveland will counter with Shane Bieber (8-2, 4.52) who is unbeaten in his last six starts and went 3-0 in August. Take CLEVELAND! |
08-31-18 | Diamondbacks v. Dodgers -125 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 12 h 16 m | Show |
Arizona at L.A. Dodgers 10:10 Dodgers over Diamondbacks- There is something way wrong with this 'price.' Zack Greinke (13-8, 2.92 ERA) who has defeated the Dodgers twice already this season with 17 strikeouts in 12.1 innings. Arizona won yesterday's contest 3-1 and are now 10-4 against the Dodgers this summer. Los Angeles will start Hyun-Jin Ryu (4-1, 2.18) who is 3-3 with a 3.90 ERA in 12 career starts against the D'backs. Ryu who is making his 3rd start off the disabled list has surrendered just 34 hits in 45 innings and somehow gets the win here. Take the DODGERS! |
08-31-18 | Colorado State +8 v. Colorado | Top | 13-45 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 5 m | Show |
Colorado vs. Colorado State 9:30 ET Rams over Buffaloes- Neither of these clubs are expected to shine through the season but the way Colorado State was manhandled by Hawaii 43-34 Saturday night surrendering 617 total yards makes me wonder. Now, that is an incredible sum of yards to surrender by a team that went off a 17-point favorite. Yet, after trailing 37-7 the Rams had the heart to fight back and close on a 28-6 rush. And further still is the fact that Colorado State gained 653 yards themselves including 537 passing by K.J. Carta-Samuels (Washington graduate transfer) who had five passing TD's. State should have no trouble getting 'up' for their intra-state rival and probably were caught looking ahead last week. The Buffaloes are at Nebraska next week and could get caught 'peeking' and get caught here. Take the points and the RAMS! |
08-31-18 | Montreal v. Ottawa -15.5 | Top | 21-11 | Loss | -107 | 23 h 9 m | Show |
Montreal at Ottawa 7:30 ET RedBlacks (-) over Alouettes- These two met two weeks ago here in Ottawa and the RedBlacks won 24-17 as a 14-point favorite. Since then Montreal got back in the win column after six straight losses while Ottawa was sitting home with a bye. The Alouettes by far the worst team in the CFL have 'covered' their last three and yet after their improvement the odds maker puts them at a 17-point dog. That is moving in the opposite direction. Montreal is going with Antonio Pipkin at QB and it won't make a difference. Take OTTAWA! |
08-30-18 | Vikings v. Titans +1 | Top | 13-3 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 47 m | Show |
Minnesota at Tennessee 8:00 ET Titans over Vikings- Tennessee made a coaching move in the off-season and it may have been a mistake. New coach Mike Vrabel is still looking for his first pro win as the Titans are 0-3 in pre-season action and have looked terrible offensively. Most new coaches look to establish a 'winning culture' upon entering a 'new' situation and that certainly hasn't been the case here. Minnesota staged a great coming from behind win last week in their 21-20 win over Seattle and are favorites in the NFC with 'Kirk' Cousins leading the way. The Vikings will look to protect their assets while the Titans are looking to show something positive for their home fans entering the season. Take TENNESSEE! |
08-30-18 | Pirates +104 v. Cardinals | Top | 0-5 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 22 m | Show |
Pittsburgh at St. Louis 7:15 ET Pirates over Cardinals- At this point the Pirates after losing 11 of their last 15 games are playing out the string and are looking forward to the chance to play golf everyday. St. Louis on the other hand has won nine consecutive series and find themselves 4.5 games behind the Cubs in the NL Central. Pittsburgh will start Joe Musgrove (5-7, 3.56 ERA) who has five straight quality outings with an ERA of 2.12 during that span but has hit up for four runs in four innings last time out against Milwaukee. St. Louis will send John Gant (5-5, 3.56) who has had seven of eight starts where he allowed two runs or fewer...the one game he didn't he surrendered six runs and eight hots to the Pirates. I expect more of the same. Take PITTSBURGH! |
08-29-18 | Blue Jays v. Orioles -110 | Top | 5-10 | Win | 100 | 9 h 33 m | Show |
Toronto at Baltimore 7:05 ET Orioles over Blue Jays- 'Break-up the Orioles!' After having won two games in-a-row Baltimore has raised their win total to 39 and won't finish the season with the worst record in MLB history (NY Mets 40-120 in 1962). Toronto had won 10 straight meetings between the two before the series started but have dropped the last two 7-0 and 12-5. The Blue Jays will start Ryan Borucki (3-3, 4.12 ERA) and he will face the Orioles for the first time and he is 1-2 with a 5.86 ERA on the road. Alex Cobb (4-15, 5.00) was on a pace to lose 20 games but has been outstanding in his last five starts allowing just 25 hits in 35 innings. He has been rocked twice by Toronto this season but has a 4.34 career ERA against the Blue Jays. Take BALTIMORE! |
08-28-18 | Diamondbacks v. Giants -106 | Top | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 13 h 36 m | Show |
Arizona at San Francisco 10:15 ET Giants over Diamondbacks- Arizona has dropped 3-of-4 and now hold just a one-game lead over Colorado and have a huge four-game series with the Dodgers looming ahead this weekend. The Giants who are not in contention for anything can become spoilers and they have one of the best in the game on the hill with Madison Bumgardner (5-5, 2.88 ERA). The D'Backs will start a re-built Clay Buchholz (7-2, 2,25) who has a 1.73 ERA in his last seven starts and is 1-0 with a 2.77 ERA in three career starts while the 'Bum' is 3-2 with a 1.71 ERA with a 0.99 WHIP at home this season. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
08-26-18 | Nationals v. Mets +100 | Top | 15-0 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 1 m | Show |
Washington at New York Mets 1:10 ET Mets over Nationals- The two most disappointing teams in the NL hook up once again at Citi Field in New York where the Mets host the downtrodden Washington Nationals. New York will start Steven Matz (5-10 4.55 ERA) and the Nationals remember this guy...he's the one who started July 31 against Washington who that day scored 25 runs. It looks like the Nats have thrown in the towel since the trade of Murphy to the Cubs as they have been shut out three straight games with Harper going 0-11. Take NEW YORK! |
08-25-18 | Wyoming v. New Mexico State +4 | Top | 29-7 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 28 m | Show |
Wyoming at New Mexico State 10 PM ET Aggies (+) over Cowboys- It took New Mexico State coach Doug Martin five season but he finally brought the Aggies to their first Bowl game and win since 1960. Now, that is some drought! Wyoming of course is known for producing the Bills #1 pick in Josh Allen who only completed 55% of his passes for the Cowboys last year as they closed their 7-5 season with a 37-14 Bowl win over Central Michigan . Although NMS lost three key offensive players they return 15 starters including nine on defense and only lost 13 seniors. Wyoming opened a 5.5 point favorite but the 'sharps' in Las Vegas have driven it down to 3.5. as of Friday afternoon but I suspect it will go back up. With the late start I would have to believe that the 'public' will bet this game back up. So, if you can, I think you will get more points the longer you can wait before making your wager. Take NEW MEXICO STATE! |

08-25-18 | Ravens v. Dolphins +1 | Top | 27-10 | Loss | -104 | 9 h 11 m | Show |
Baltimore at Miami 7:00 ET Dolphins over Ravens- This is the fourth game of the preseason for the Ravens and they have posted three wins but are only 1-2 ATS. Miami on the other hand is 0-2 both SU and ATS and have lost their last five overall and 8-of-10. Baltimore has now won 11 straight preseason games under Harbaugh and it looks like the odds-makers are giving 'you' or 'us' a chance to take them without laying points (they actually might go to a small favorite). Week 3 is supposed to be a 'dress' rehearsal for the opener but the Ravens are ready now. This game has so much more significance for the Dolphins who has Ryan Tannehill back this season and will use him tonight. Oh I almost forgot to tell you my friends at Playbook tell me that 'any 0-2 team that is a dog or favorite by 2 or less points in Game three has an ATS record of 24-7 77%.' So, take MIAMI! |
08-25-18 | Winnipeg v. Calgary -8.5 | Top | 26-39 | Win | 100 | 5 h 13 m | Show |
Winnipeg at Calgary 3:30 ET Stampeders (-) over Blue Bombers- It isn't often that I look to lay points with a prohibitive favorite but I just believe that Calgary is that much better then Winnipeg and when they want to play no one in 'this' league can touch them. Home favorites have not fared well in the CFL going 9-12-1 ATS this season but road dogs are 5-17 straight-up. The Stampeders spotted Saskatchewan a 24-6 half-time lead and were handed their first loss of the season last week while the Bombers had their three-game win streak stopped by Ottawa. Calgary has won 14 of 16 here against the Blue Bombers and this will just be one more win. Take the STAMPEDERS! |
08-24-18 | Packers v. Raiders -6 | Top | 6-13 | Win | 100 | 12 h 29 m | Show |
Green Bay at Oakland 10:30 ET Raiders (-) over Packers- Boy oh boy! You have got to be kidding me. The Green Bay Packers have scored 82 points in two pre-season wins including 51 last week against Pittsburgh while the Raiders under John Gruden are 1-1 and are off last weeks loss at the Rams 19-15 scoring a total of 31 points on their two contests. Here's the thing the Packers have had two blowout wins at home and must now take to the road and open a 7-point underdog. Now, think about this, the Pack just scored 51 points and have two huge wins at Lambeau Field and now in their first road test they are the largest dog on the card this week against a team that didn't score a point with their starters in the game. I don't expect much of an effort out of Green Bay and neither do the oddsmakers. Take OAKLAND! |
08-24-18 | Cardinals v. Rockies +104 | Top | 7-5 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 1 m | Show |
St. Louis at Colorado 8:40 ET Rockies over Cardinals- Change is good, just ask the St. Louis Cardinals who have won 13 of 15 under new manager Mike Shildt while Colorado has won 10 of their last 12. Both the Red-birds and Rockies are fighting for the two possible Wild Card spots as the Cards hold the first spot by a half game over the Rockies. Miles Mikolas (13-3, 2.80 ERA) has won his last five starts and has allowed two runs or fewer in nine of his last 11 starts but this time out he's pitching at Coors Field. Colorado will start Antonio Senzatela (4-3, 4.47) who has allowed just four runs in his last three starts and is 3-0 with a 3.00 ERA at home. Take the ROCKIES! |

Cleveland at Boston 7:10 ET Indians over Red Sox- The chants of 'Break-up the Red Sox' have died down a bit since Boston has fallen three straight games their high for the season. Still, the Sawx have a nine-game lead over the second place Yankees and will send left-hander Brian Johnson (4-3, 4.00 ERA) to the hill who is 3-0 in August despite allowing 12 runs and 17 hits in just 17 innings. Cleveland will start Carlos Carrasco (15-6, 3.33) who is off back-to-back seven inning shutouts. The Indians are 17-4 their last 21 on the road and pick-up another win tonight. Take CLEVELAND! |
08-21-18 | Braves v. Pirates +102 | Top | 6-1 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 22 m | Show |
Atlanta at Pittsburgh 7:05 ET Pirates over Braves- The Braves may still be in first place by a game and a-half but they are sliding after getting swept four games at home by Colorado. Pittsburgh has bounced back from a season high five-game losing streak of their own to defeat the Cubs twice despite scoring just five runs in the four game series. Atlanta will start Kevin Gausman (7-9, 4.22 ERA) who is 0-1 with a 8.44 ERA lifetime against Pittsburgh. Baltimore at Indianapolis 8:00 ET Colts (+) over Ravens- The long awaited return of Andrew Luck has been realized and his playing time increased but his ability to throw the ball down field without pain has been noted. Baltimore of course has quarterback issues of their own as exciting draft pick Lamar Jackson and veteran starter Joe Flacco have not warmed up to each other and Robert Griffin III is around for clean up work. The Colts new head coach Frank Reich brought in new offensive and defensive co-coordinators and all are playing every game to win especially now to establish as winning culture. Take INDIANAPOLIS! |
08-19-18 | Cubs v. Pirates -110 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 4 h 56 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at Pittsburgh 1:35 ET Pirates over Cubs- Chicago may have won 2-of-3 of this series but have managed just one run in each of those three games benefiting with three solo home runs. The Cubs will start left-hander Jose Quintana (10-9, 4.46 ERA) who has struggled of late going 1-3 with a 7.52 ERA in his past four starts is 1-1 lifetime against Pittsburgh. The Pirates will start Jameson Taillon (9-9, 3.66) and he has allowed three runs of less in 14 consecutive starts and 21 of his last 24 also pitching into the sixth inning in 13 of his last 16 appearances. Take PITTSBURGH! |
08-18-18 | Seahawks v. Chargers -3 | Top | 14-24 | Win | 100 | 11 h 14 m | Show |
Seattle at L.A. Chargers 10:00 ET Chargers (-) over Seahawks- Since taking over the Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll has had the best pre-season ATS record of any other team in the NFL Entering this season he is 34-14-1 ATS in his preseason career including 7-1 ATS the past two seasons. But, things change and the Seahawks lost their opener to the Colts 19-17 and trends head in opposite directions. The Chargers also took and opening week lost at Arizona and look to establish a favorable home base. Things change...take the CHARGERS! |
08-18-18 | Astros v. A's -102 | Top | 1-7 | Win | 100 | 6 h 42 m | Show |
Houston at Oakland 4:10 ET Athletics over Astros- If anyone had told you in April that Houston and Oakland would have the same record in the middle of August you would like most probably scoff at the idea But these two virtually have the same record meet again this afternoon in Oakland. The A's have won 12 of their last 15 and are within one-game of the Astros. Dallas Keuchel (9-9, 3.43 ERA) starts for Houston and he is 1-1 against the A's this season and 6-5 lifetime. New York Jets at Washington 8:00 ET Redskins over Jets- Most of us saw his performance last week and opposition players are raving about New York's Number One draft pick (#3 overall) quarterback San Darnold. The Jets are coming off a 17-0 win over Atlanta while the Redskins blew a 17-0 halftime lead at New England. The Jets also have a come-back story with Teddy Bridgewater and Josh McCown while Washington has newly acquired Alex Smith and Colt McCoy who left with that 17-0 lead at halftime while Smith will see his first preseason action tonight. After blowing the lead and the Jets winning by a shutout fortunes should reverse here. Take WASHINGTON! |

L.A. Angels at San Diego 9:10 ET Padres over Angels- San Diego starter Robbie Erlin (2-3, 3.36 ERA) has been 'fighting' for a spot in the rotation after 27 relief appearances. A control pitcher Erlin has just 57 strikeouts in 70 innings but only eight walks a 2.05 ERA and has a 0.99 WHIP on the season out of the bullpen. In his previous two starts Erlin has allowed three earned runs in 10 innings against the Cubs and Brewers and is looking for a regular spot in the starting rotation. Seattle at Oakland 10:05 ET Mariners over A's- Oakland has opened a 2.5 game lead over Seattle after last night's 7-6 victory. They have won 37 of their last 49 and seem to have plenty of momentum. The Mariners hope to curve the tide a bit as they have the return of Robinson Cano who has been out since May 15 after his PED suspension. Seattle will start James (No-Hit) Paxton (10-5, 3.63 ERA) who has been racked-up in his last two starts but is 3-0 with a 3.32 career ERA against Oakland. Mike Fiers (7-6, 3.40) gets the nod for the Mariners and he is just 1-1 with a 6.21 ERA in six career starts. Take SEATTLE! |

08-10-18 | Hamilton v. Winnipeg OVER 58.5 | Top | 23-29 | Loss | -101 | 10 h 17 m | Show |
Hamilton and Winnipeg 8:30 ET Tigercats/Blue Bombers (OVER)- Hamilton defeated Winnipeg 31-17 in the first meeting between these two but did not face starting quarterback Matt Nichols at that time. The Tiger cats defense had a field day against Montreal and Johnny 'Football' Manziel last week but will find the Blue Bombers offense a little tougher to stop. Winnipeg averages 34 points per contest and allows three touchdowns per game while Hamilton averages nearly four touchdowns a game themselves. These two clubs average over 800 yards per game on offense between them and will get plenty of scoring opportunities tonight. PLAY OVER! |

Pittsburgh at San Francisco 10:15 ET Giants over Pirates- A pair of middle of the road combatants clash in San Francisco as the Giants host Pittsburgh. This is Andrew McCutchen's second series facing his former teammates as the Pirates took 2-of-3 in May. Pittsburgh's Ivan Nova (6-6, 4.49 ERA) took the loss in that series in May and has been struggling of late throwing to a 5.81 ERA and 1.71 WHIP in his last six starts. Giants starter Andrew Suarez (4-7, 4.60) went 12 straight starts without allowing more then four runs. The Pirates are just 10-19 against the NL West. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |

Edmonton at British Columbia 10:00 ET Eskimos/Lions (OVER)- It's easy to see that Edmonton has the offensive advantage in this matchup as they have won the total yardage battle in six of their seven games and lead the CFL in total yards and Passing yards. Led by veteran QB Mike Reilly the Eskimos are 7-1 straight-up in the last eight meetings and have gone 5-1 ATS in their last six meetings. British Columbia has 'covered' their last three contests as underdogs and are the only team to stay within 10-points of Calagry losing 18-27 last last Saturday. The Lions defense has been tough at home but Edmonton has too many weapons. Play OVER! |

Cincinnati at New York Mets 7:10 ET Mets over Reds- Go figure...The Mets who have won 2-of-3 (huge streak for them) are just 11-25 in their last 36 home games but have won 10 of 11 over Cincinnati at Citi Field. The Reds will be without slugger Joey Votto who has a sore and swollen right knee after getting hit by a pitch against Washington. Cincy is 1-6 on their current road trip and will start Sal Romano (6-9, 5.12 ERA) and he is 1-5 on the road with a 5.62 ERA and has just 22 strikeouts in 50 innings. New York will start Jason Vargas (2-7, 8.23) who has yet to work more then five innings in any game this season. Still, this time out it's NEW YORK! |

Philadelphia at Arizona 9:40 ET Diamondbacks over Phillies- The first-place Phillies are getting stronger as the season progresses and have won their last five and will start Jake Arrieta (9-6, 3.32 ERA) who was 4-0 with a 2.80 ERA in six starts in July. Arizona who is tied with the Dodgers for the lead in the NL West will start Zack Godley (12-6, 4.46) and he has been at his best of late himself striking out 68 in his last 58 innigs workd while posting a 6-2 record with a 3.43 ERA in 11 home appearances. Take ARIZONA! |
08-05-18 | Astros v. Dodgers +100 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 49 m | Show |
Houston at L.A. Dodgers 4:10 ET Dodgers over Astros- Los Angeles make the most impactful move before the trade deadline acquiring Manny Machado and with the return of Kershaw are looking to close the deal this season. There has been a quick turn-around by the Dodgers who scored 21 runs in their win on Thursday but have scored just one run in their two losses against Houston Friday and Saturday. Yesterday's loss a 14-0 thrashing has Los Angeles regrouping for their stretch run. The Astros will start Gerrit Cole (10-3, 2.55 ERA) who is 3-1 with a 5.55 ERA in six career starts against LA while Walker Buehler (4-4, 3.65) gets the nod and he is facing Houston for the first time. Well, the first time is a charm. Take the DODGERS! |
08-04-18 | Cardinals +110 v. Pirates | Top | 8-4 | Win | 110 | 9 h 45 m | Show |
St. Louis at Pittsburgh 7:05 ET Cardinals over Pirates- Trends (winning and losing) are such a large part of handicapping baseball it's difficult to make a selection when 'against' the prevailing wisdom. Pittsburgh has caught fire winning 15 of their last 16 including 10 of 11 against NL Central competition. St. Louis who will start rookie left-hander Austin Gomber (1-0, 3.22 ERA) is just 2-7 the last nine meetings in Pittsburgh. The Pirates will start the struggling Ivan Nova (6-6, 4.33) who is 1-2 with a 4.18 ERA lifetime against the Cardinals. Gomber has worked just 22 innings but has surrendered only 15 hits while Nova has given up 125 hits in 114 innings. Take ST. LOUIS! |
08-03-18 | Yankees -123 v. Red Sox | Top | 1-4 | Loss | -123 | 9 h 39 m | Show |
N.Y Yankees at Boston Yankees over Red Sox- Okay, it has got to the points where even the Red Sox are beginning to believe that they are good. The 'Bean-town' pessimist ism is a dangerously low level and it is time for them to come back to ground control. Luis Serverino (14-4, 2.94 ERA) has struggled since the All-Star game and he is so ready to just dominate an opponent and who better then the Boston Red Sox. The imposters will start Rick Porcello (13-4, 4.03) who is so fortunate to have the Re Sox support of over six runs per start. Well, not tonight fellers. Look for Servinero to dominate and the Yankees to get the much needed victory! Take the 27-time Word Champion NEW YORK YANKEES! |
08-02-18 | Saskatchewan v. Edmonton OVER 52.5 | Top | 19-26 | Loss | -104 | 12 h 36 m | Show |
Saskatchewan at Edmonton 10;00 ET Roughriders/Eskimos (OVER)- There is one thing that I am willing to bet on when Edmonton is playing and that is their will be plenty of scoring opportunities no matter who has the ball. The Eskimos puts up almost 29 points per contest while allowing about 25 they total almost 450 yards in offense from the line of scrimmage while allowing 370. The over is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings at Edmonton and with passing leader Mike Reilly (13 TD's and over 2000 yards) will lead the way. Play OVER! |
08-02-18 | Ottawa v. Toronto +6.5 | Top | 41-42 | Win | 100 | 9 h 35 m | Show |
Ottawa at Toronto 7:00 ET Argonauts (+) over RedBlacks- Ig you have seen Toronto play at all this season I hope it was only once because they are difficult to get behind. The reining Grey Cup Champions are battling Montreal for the bottom spot in a nine team league. They have been terrible to date winning once at home as an underdog 20-17 over Edmonton and have lost three straight and six of seven straight-up and ATS. The RedBlacks defeated the Argos the final game of the pre-season 32-17 at Toronto but have lost nine of their last 10 regular season road meetings. State wise the QB are a wash and with Ottawa posting an upset outright 21-15 win at Hamilton and won't be able to handle to roll reversal as the favorite. It's not about talent tonight its timing and the situation. Take the home dog (hasn't done so well in the CFL this season) Toronto PLUS! |
08-02-18 | Royals v. White Sox -131 | Top | 4-6 | Win | 100 | 4 h 2 m | Show |
Kansas City at Chicago White Sox 2:10 ET White Sox over Royals- Today's match-up between the Royals and White Sox has heavy trends work for Kansas City and against Chicago. Let's start with the pitchers, The visitors will send Brad Keller (4-4, 3.43 ERA) to the hill and he has won his last two starts while White Sox starter Reynaldo Lopez (4-9, 4.57) who is 0-4 with an ERA of 8.72 in his last four starts. But, (there is always a but) Keller is 0-1 with a 9.53 ERA in four appearances against the Pale Hose while Lopez is 2-1 with a 3.90 ERA against the Royals in five career starts. Take KANSAS CITY! |
08-01-18 | Rockies v. Cardinals -126 | Top | 3-6 | Win | 100 | 10 h 14 m | Show |
Colorado at St. Louis 8:15 ET Cardinals over Rockies- You guys should know by now how much I dislike coming back with a pervious days loser and that is what 'we' have here. St. Louis seems to be a team that I have trouble staying away from but with more good then bad results so I'm willing to pay against them when it is right and tonight it is not. The Rockies have had a great July and have won 20 of their last 26 but have had issues when playing the Cardinals. Colorado is 16-35 in the last 51 meetings against St. Louis and I expect the same here. Take ST. LOUIS! |
07-31-18 | Cubs v. Pirates +100 | Top | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 34 m | Show |
Chicago at Pittsburgh 7:05 ET Pirates over Cubs- All of a sudden the Cubs ace Jon Lester (12-3, 3.06 ERA) is being slighted by the odds-makers and looking at his last five starts might give 'us' clue with an ERA of 6.31 and lasting under five-innings per start surrendering 14 walks and more hits then innings pitched. Lester is 7-5 with a 3.39 ERA in 15 starts against Pittsburgh and will be facing one of the 'hottest' teams in baseball. The Pirates are climbing back into the race winning 15 of their last 19. One is 'Hot' and one is 'Not.' Take PITTSBURGH! |
07-29-18 | Phillies v. Reds -110 | Top | 0-4 | Win | 100 | 3 h 22 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Cincinnati 1:10 ET Reds over Phillies- After opening this four game series with a win on Thursday against the Reds the first place Phillies have dropped their last two and will need a win to keep from losing three straight series to sub-.500 teams Miami and the Mets. Philadelphia will start Zach Eflin (7-2, 3.41 ERA) is 6-0 his last eight starts but was busted out after 2.2 innings in his last start against the Dodgers but escaped with a no decision. Luis Castillo (5-8, 5.30 ERA) who has allowed just seven runs in his last four starts and has gone winless in his last 10 appearances. Reds playing much better of late and get the win here. Take CINCINNATI! |
07-28-18 | A's v. Rockies -125 | Top | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 13 m | Show |
Oakland at Colorado 8:10 ET Rockies over A's- After scoring 41 runs in their four game sweep of the Rangers at Texas one would expect the A's bats to add to their stat sheet in Colorado but things do not always happen they way we might expect. Oakland was shut down in 'homer happy' Coors Field Friday night managing to score one line run in their 3-1 loss. Although the loss was just their eighth is their last 35 games they have are facing the Rockies who have won 10 of their last 12 at home and 21 of their last 30. Brett Anderson ( 2-2, 5.46 ERA) will start for the A's while Antonio Senzatela (3-3, 5.55) who gets his second chance since coming off the DL. It works for him today. Take COLORADO! |
07-28-18 | Ottawa v. Hamilton OVER 55.5 | Top | 21-15 | Loss | -105 | 23 h 45 m | Show |
Ottawa at Hamilton 4:00 ET RedBlacks/Tigercats (OVER) – Okay guys and gals I can't tell you how excited I am about this 'call' (the 'Over' that is). I say why. This is my first experience with the CFL and I wasn't sure if the same application that I us in GL and NCAA football were successful in this league. So far I am fairly pleased with what I've seen and now...the true test. Okay here we go, I have always been a 'numbers' guy meaning I don't care who's playing just what 'price' the game has been set at. Often times I will see a line on a game and wonder what is going on and this total opening where it did caught my attention the moment I saw it. Here are two teams that both average 22.5 points on offense and allow 22.6 points on defense. Therefore, according to the power ratings the total should be 45 or so. And look at what it is over 10-points higher then the projected line. I believe the game to go OVER somehow. I f it does my confidence level here on out will be hard to beat. PLAY OVER! |
07-27-18 | Mariners v. Angels -138 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 11 h 13 m | Show |
Seattle at L.A. Angels 10:07 ET Angels over Mariners- As the venerable Satchel Page once said 'don't look back someone might be gaining on you.' Well, for the Mariners don't look back at now as Oakland who has won 22 of their last 27 while Seattle is 8-10 in their last 18 and haven't won back-to back games since July 3. Even with the return of Robinson Cano the Mariners have scored more then three runs just three times in their last 11 games. Left-hander Wade LeBlanc (6-1, 3.44 ERA) will face-off with the Angels lefty Andrew Heaney (6-6, 3.66) who has allowed 16 less hits then innings pitched. Take LOS ANGELES! |
07-26-18 | Phillies v. Reds -129 | Top | 9-4 | Loss | -129 | 9 h 56 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Cincinnati 7:10 ET Reds over Phillies- For the third time in the last four days the Redlegs will face a pitcher making his MLB debut as Ranger Suarez makes his first 'big league' start and it is the 4th straight game again a rookie hurler. Cincinnati who got off to a terrible start to the season and are in last place in the NL Central have are 7-2-1 in their last 10 series and will send Tyler Mahle (7-8, 4.32 ERA). Philadelphia is on a streak of their own winning 25 of 39 and are 10-2-1 in their last 13 series. This time the home team takes advantage...play on CINCINNATI! |
07-25-18 | Astros v. Rockies +112 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 112 | 11 h 15 m | Show |
Houston at Colorado 8:40 ET Rockies over Astros- At first glance it would appear that the Astros have the pitching advantage when comparing tonight's starters in Colorado. Houston has Charlie Morton (11-2, 2.96 ERA) starting against the Rockies and he is having his finest career year while Colorado's Jon Gray (8-7, 5.44) is making his second start after being recalled for the minors. Looking closer we find that Morton is 2-2 with a 4.53 ERA in eight career starts and is 1-1 with an ERA near 7 at Coors Field. Gray had his finest start of the season in his first start upon returning to the 'Bigs' allowing just one-run in 7.2 innings against Seattle and this momentum will stay with him here. Take COLORADO! |

07-24-18 | Nationals -101 v. Brewers | Top | 4-5 | Loss | -101 | 11 h 41 m | Show |
Washington at Milwaukee 8:10 ET Nationals over Brewers- The Nationals climb into contention was handed another set back Monday as they lost to the Brewers 6-1 and fell a game under .500. Milwaukee who currently has injury issues will send Junior Guerra (6-6, 3.23 ERA) to the hill in his first start off the Disabled List. The struggling Nats will send Jeremy Hellickson (4-1, 3.29) to the mound and he has put together two straight wins where he has allowed just one run in 11+ innings. He is 4-1 with a 2.53 ERA on the road and is 3-1 lifetime against the Brewers. Take WASHINGTON! |

07-23-18 | Cardinals v. Reds -120 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 50 m | Show |
St. Louis at Cincinnati 7L10 ET Reds over Cardinals- It happens every year, a club is 'hot' before the All-Star break and the time off breaks their momentum. This year that team is the Reds who were on a 4-game win streak and had posted victories in nine of 14 games. Since the break Cincinnati is 0-4 and will be sending Luis Castillo (5-8, 5.49 ERA) against St. Louis and he is 0-3 with a 5.24 ERA on four career starts against the Redbirds. The struggling Cardinals have lost six of nine and will start Daniel Poncedeleon who at 26 has found the 'Fountain of Youth' making his first MLB start at after a season when he had brain surgery after being struck in the head by a line drive. Sorry, dude great story but this comeback falls short. Take CINCINNATI! |
07-21-18 | Giants v. A's -126 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 11 h 2 m | Show |
San Francisco at Oakland 9:05 ET Athletics over Giants- The Bay Bridge series continues in Oakland where the A's will try and get even in this series after bowing to their cross-bridge rivals Friday night. Madison Bumgarner (3-3, 2.90 ERA) improved his record against the A's to 4-2 with a 4.62 ERA in six starts while Oakland starter Trevor Cahill (1-2, 3.10) makes just his second start since his Achilles injury and he is 7-5 with a 3.97 ERA in 18 career appearances versus San Francisco. The trends are one-sided and I will use them for support as the Giants are 2-10 in Bumgarner's last 12 road starts and the A's are 8-2 in inter-league games and 21-7 in their last 28 overall. Take OAKLAND! |
07-21-18 | Montreal v. Calgary UNDER 49 | Top | 8-25 | Win | 100 | 8 h 33 m | Show |
Montreal at Calgary 9:00 ET UNDER- The Alouettes posted their first win after going 0-13 both straight-up and ATS a few weeks ago but they still have the worst offense in the CFL scoring just 15.3 points per game. Calgary on the other hand has the toughest scoring defense in the league allowing just 9.5 points per contest. These two stats combining should produce a low scoring contest as Drew Willy will replace Jeff Mathews at QB for Montreal who average just 55 yards rushing while the Stampeders keep opponents to 72.5 yards rushing. Play this game UNDER! |

Oakland at San Francisco 4:05 ET Giants over A's- The 'Bay Bridge' series continues with both the Giants and the Athletics playing their best ball of the season. Oakland has won five straight and 7-0-1 in their last eight series while San Francisco is just 5-4 in their last nine but are 11-0-2 in their last 13 series since April. Sean Manaea (8-6, 3.44 ERA) started the year 4-2 with a 1.03 ERA in his first six starts but is 1-4 with a 7.18 ERA in his last six outings. The Jints will start Andrew Suarez (3-5, 3.75) who has surrendered just one run in each of his last four starts and has posted a 2.91 ERA at home. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
07-14-18 | A's v. Giants -105 | Top | 4-3 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 19 m | Show |
Oakland at San Francisco 10:05 ET Giants over Athletics- Oakland has surprised the pundits and are just five-game out of the AL Wild Card spot having gone 7-0-1 in their last eight series. Tonight they will start Brett Anderson (1-2, 5.75 ERA) who is making his first start since joining the Disabled List on May 18. The Giants will start Jeff Samardzija (1-5, 6.42) who should have risked the injuries and played football as his baseball career has never shaped-up. He hasn't won since he's debut this season against the Angels and is 2-2 with a 7.92 ERA lifetime against Oakland. The Giants are 31-17 at home and will surprise with a win here today. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |

07-14-18 | Winnipeg v. BC UNDER 55.5 | Top | 17-20 | Win | 100 | 12 h 51 m | Show |
Winnipeg at British Columbia 10:00 ET Lions (+) over Blue Bombers- The Blue Bombers have been dominate in this series the past handful of seasons going 6-3 SU and 8-1 ATS in the last nine meetings while going 6-1 ATS in their last seven visits to British Columbia. The 'trends' are so overwhelming let me help you understand my dilemma. Winnipeg is 18-5 ATS in their last 23 road games overall and 15-5-1 in the last 21 meetings. B.C. On the other hand doesn't offer any resistance as they are 5-15-1 ATS against the West and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 overall. They lost to this team last week 41-19 to force the game OVER. So, with the understanding that the Lions have only one chance and that is to keep this a game of possession. Bombers still running different guys at QB while B.C. has dumped Jennings. Play the UNDER! |

07-13-18 | Brewers v. Pirates +108 | Top | 3-7 | Win | 108 | 8 h 24 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Pittsburgh 7:05 ET Pirates over Brewers- The Pirates appear to have picked-up the pace winning four of their last five after dropping their previous five. Milwaukee who is in first place in the NL Central have lost three of four on their current road trip and are just 19-21 within the Division. With yesterday's opening game series win Pittsburgh improved to 4-2 against the Brewers this season and will be starting rookie Nick Kingman (3-4, 4.26 ERA) who has a win over Milwaukee. Pirates at home Friday night...take PITTSBURGH! |
07-12-18 | Phillies v. Orioles +105 | Top | 5-4 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 57 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Baltimore 6:05 ET Orioles over Phillies- This is a make-up game from a rainout back in mid May. Philadelphia has won 10 of their last 14 and will send Nick Pivetta (5-7, 4.62 ERA) to the mound against Baltimore's Kevin Gausman (4-6, 4.11) who will face the Phillies for the first time in his career. With the Phillies fighting for first place and the Orioles posting the worst record in baseball I find this 'line' of virtual pick-em to be intriguing. This evening Gausman gets the support that has been lacking in his starts. Take BALTIMORE! |
07-11-18 | Mariners v. Angels -113 | Top | 3-0 | Loss | -113 | 13 h 31 m | Show |
Seattle at L.A. Angels 10:07 ET Angels over Mariners- If the Angels who started the season with such promise are to catch Seattle for the second Wild Card spot they need to defeat them head-to-head. Last night's win for LA came after spotting the Mariners a 3-spot in the top of the first before their offensive assault started. Seattle starter Marco Gonzalez (9-5, 3.64 ERA) has five career starts against the Angels and is 1-0 with a 3.91 ERA while striking out 21 in 17 innings while LA starter Jaime Barria (5-5, 3.39) who has lost his last four decisions. This is his third start against Seattle this season and the third time is a charm...Take the ANGELS! |
07-10-18 | Diamondbacks v. Rockies -102 | Top | 5-3 | Loss | -102 | 11 h 40 m | Show |
Arizona at Colorado 8:40 ET Rockies over Diamondbacks- The term revenge is rarely used when discussing baseball matchups but the Rockies have some motivation entering this three-game series. Arizona has won five of the six meetings this season scoring 47 runs including a 3-game sweep at Colorado in June. Tonight's matchup pits two of the 'hottest' pitchers in the NL as the Diamondbacks will send Patrick Corbin (6-3, 3.05 ERA) against the Rockies Tyler Anderson (6-3, 3.90). Corbin who is 8-3 with a 4.68 ERA in 18 games against Colorado is 0-0 in his last three starts allowing only 13 hits in his last 19 innings while Anderson has pitched eight scoreless innings in each of his last two starts. Off a dismal 3-7 home stand the D'backs struggle here. Take COLORADO! |
07-09-18 | Phillies v. Mets -101 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 6 h 33 m | Show |
Philadelphia at New York 4:10 ET Mets over Phillies- The Mets who started the season 11-1 have been beset with injuries and poor overall play have lost 17 of their last 20 will be sending Zack Wheeler (2-6, 4.36 ERA) to the hill. Wheeler has actually pitched fairly good baseball in his last 11 outings but has a 0-4 record to show for it. He received a no-decision his last two starts despite outstanding performances before the Mets bullpen (the worst in MLB) gave up the win. Phillies starter Zach Eflin (7-2, 2.97) is working on a six-game winning streak and will most likely pitch the first game of this double-headed. You MUST have this pitching match-up! Take the METS! |
07-08-18 | Dodgers v. Angels -100 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 1 m | Show |
LA Dodgers at LA Angels- Angels over Dodgers- The Dodgers who at one point were 10-games under .500 have the best record in baseball the last two months going 32-14. They will start Alex Wood (5-5, 3.84 ERA) has gone 5-1 during this Dodgers run but struggled in inter-league play this season getting pounded for seven runs and seven hits to Oakland in early April and is 3-6 lifetime against the Angels. The Angels will start Andrew Heaney (4-6, 3.94) who is 4-2 with a 2.18 ERA at home. The Angels have won seven of the 11 meetings in this series. Take the ANGELS! |

Atlanta at Milwaukee 2:10 ET Brewers over Braves- Atlanta's Sean Newcomb (8-3, 3.10 ERA) has been the mark of consistency going 8-1 with a 2.33 ERA in his pervious 15 starts until his last outing against the Yankees surrendering five runs and five walks in 2.2 innings. Milwaukee will start Junior Guerra (5-5, 2.87) who is holding opponents to a .217 average and has allowed three runs or less in 11 of his 16 starts. Take the BREWERS! |

Philadelphia at Pittsburgh 4:05 ET Pirates over Phillies- I hate to come back on a loser as I posted the Pirates Friday and they were demolished by Philadelphia 17-5 for 'our' Megabucks loss. The Phillies will start former Cy Young award winner Jake Arrieta (5-6, 3.54 ERA) who has struggled in his last six starts with a 6.16 ERA. Pittsburgh will start James Taillon (5-6, 4.05) was 3-2 with a 2.90 ERA in June and is 1-1 lifetime against the Phillies. Although the Pirates have lost four straight and the Phils all five meetings this season the Buc's come through today. Take PITTSBURGH! |
07-06-18 | Phillies v. Pirates +106 | Top | 17-5 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 24 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Pittsburgh 7:05 ET Pirates over Phillies- The last time these two met was in late April and Philadelphia swept the four-game series allowing only five total runs. They are on a current 4-games winning streak and will be sending Nick Pivetta (5-7, 4.66 ERA) to the mound who has no decisions against the Pirates and are 2-7 in his last seven starts. Pittsburgh will start Trevor Williams (6-6, 4.22) has won just one of this last eight starts and is 0-1 with a 3.86 ERA in two starts against the Phillies. In his lone start against them this season he allowed two runs on just one hit and took the loss. This time he gets some of it back. Take PITTSBURGH! |
07-05-18 | Cardinals +123 v. Giants | Top | 11-2 | Win | 123 | 13 h 51 m | Show |
St. Louis at San Francisco 10:15 ET Cardinals over Giants- Johnny Cueto (3-0, 0.84 ERA) was off to a fantastic start until sidelined the past two month with an elbow injury and is making his first start since April 28. This will be his 24th career start against St. Louis and he is 7-8 with a 3.74 ERA and will be opposed by the Cardinals Luke Weaver (4-7, 5.16) and he is 1-1 lifetime against San Francisco with a 1.86 ERA. Oddly enough, all four of Weaver's wins have come on the road and with the Cards late explosion last night they have all the momentum. Take ST. LOUIS! |

LA Angels at Seattle 4:10 ET Angels over Mariners- The streaking Seattle Mariners have won eight straight and trail division leading Houston by just a half-game while leading the Angels by 11 games in the AL West. Los Angeles activated Shohei Ohtani from the DL Tuesday (0-4 last night) and were just 8-14 during his absence. After one of the hottest streaks of his career Mile Trout has slumped the past week and the Angels have slipped along with him. Seattle will start Mike Leake (8-4, 4.01 ERA) who is 3-1 with a 2.49 ERA in four career starts against the Angels while Garrett Richards (4-4, 3.42) gets the nod and he is 6-4 with a 3.05 ERA against Seattle in 12 career starts. Take LOS ANGELES! |

San Francisco at Colorado 8:10 ET Rockies over Giants- The Giants who are having a big-time come-back season will have to do better when their ace Madison Bumgarner is on the mound after blowing a late 2-run lead last night. San Francisco who is just 19-27 on the road will start Chris Stratton (8-5, 4.45 ERA) who is 1-0 lifetime against Colorado but has an ERA of 6.19 in four lifetime appearances against them. San Francisco has been one of the worst road teams in baseball but have won their last three as visitors and have been horrid at Coors Field where they have lost 12 of their last 14. Bumgarner is 12-7 with a 2.92 ERA in 27 career starts against Colorado. Kyle Freeland (7-6, 3.29) has allowed more then three runs once in 12 starts and is 4-2 with a 2.61 ERA against the Giants. 07-01-18 | Pirates v. Padres +107 | Top | 7-5 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 25 m | Show |
Pittsburgh at San Diego 4:10 ET Padres over Pirates- San Diego just doesn't enjoy opening games of series when playing different rivals. The Padres are 1-18 (really), thats 1-18 the first game to start a series but their win last night brings their Game 2 of a series to 14-5 and they are 11-7 in the third game. This afternoon they will start Tyson Ross (5-5, 3.32 ERA) and they are 11-5 when he starts and 9-2 in his last 11 starts. Ross also has a 2.91 ERA at home. Take the PADRES! |

06-30-18 | Indians v. A's +110 | Top | 2-7 | Win | 110 | 7 h 38 m | Show |
Cleveland at Oakland 4:05 ET A's over Indians- Where is Charlie Finley now, the A's have won five straight and are actually raising some eyebrows as they have won 11 of their last 13 and have moved into the third spot in the AL West. Cleveland sits comfortably on top of the AL Central although Oakland has more wins on the season and will start veteran Edwin Jackson (0-0, 1.50 ERA) who is 9-1 lifetime against the Indians. The Tribe will start rookie Adam Plutko (4-1, 4.65) who is facing the A's for the first time. Experience is the best teacher and Oakland has it against a rookie today. Take the ATHLETICS! |

Boston and the Yankees have split their six games already this season with 16 more meetings to go. The Sawx will start Eduardo Rodriquez (9-2, 3.86 ERA) who is off his worst start of the season at Seattle while New York will counter with veteran CC Sabathia (4-3, 3.18) who has lost his last two starts but has a 2.74 ERA in eight starts at Yankee Stadium where the Bombers are 29-11. Milwaukee at Cincinnati 7:10 ET Reds over Brewers- A pair of rising clubs clash tonight in Cincinnati where the Reds who have won nine of their last 10 host the Brewers who have won five straight series. Despite their current run first place Milwaukee has lost three of their last four and will start Junior Guerra (3-5, 2.82 ERA) who has failed to win a game in his last seven starts. Cincinnati starter Anthony DeSclafani (3-1, 4.09) won his third straight start against Chicago last time out holding the Cubs to two runs into the seventh inning. Take CINCINNATI! |

Pittsburgh at New York Mets 7:10 ET Mets over Pirates- New York ended a seven-game losing streak Tuesday with their 4-4 10-inning win over the Pirates which was their first back-to back win in over a month. There is another streak the Mets look to end tonight and that is with Zack Wheeler (2-6, 4.85 ERA) who is winless in his last 10 starts. But, he has shown signs of life his last two times out as he has 15 strikeouts and only eight hits allowed in his last two outings. Take the METS! |

06-26-18 | Cubs v. Dodgers -155 | Top | 9-4 | Loss | -155 | 12 h 40 m | Show |
Chicago at L.A. Dodgers 10:10 ET Dodgers over Cubs- If ever their was a 'stopper' needed for the Cubs it is now. Chicago has lost five straight and ace Jon Lester (9-2, 2.10 ERA) is taking the mound and is looking to stop this season high slide. Lester has a five-game win streak with a 1.64 ERA and he has pitched at least six innings in seven consecutive starts and is matched up against the Dodgers Ross Stripling (6-2, 1.99) for the second time in the last six days. Los Angeles is hot winning their last four and are 16-5 in June. The Cubs have struggled in LA going 2-8 since the start of 2015. Take the DODGERS! |

06-25-18 | Yankees -146 v. Phillies | Top | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 34 m | Show |
New York Yankees at Philadelphia 7:05 ET Yankees over Phillies- New York enters this contest in the mist of their first 3-game losing streak of the season while the Phillies have won 7-of-10. Philadelphia will start strikeout artist Vince Velasquez (5-7, 4.82 ERA) who should be the favorite here but as it turns out is a heavy home underdog against New York's Jonathan Loaisiga (1-0, 3.12). He will be making his third start since being called up from Double-A Trenton and yet he is favored (heavily) on the road against one of the NL's 'hottest' teams. The number can't lie and I see the Yankees here. Take NEW YORK! |
