11-04-23 | Notre Dame v. Clemson +3 | Top | 23-31 | Win | 100 | 47 h 20 m | Show |
Notre Dame at Clemson 12:00 ET Tigers (+) over Fighting Irish- Now don’t fret that this game starts so early and that you will have nothing to look forward to the rest of the day. Well, you will be able to play on our SEC Game of the Month between LSU and Alabama (Don’t miss it). Okay, enough said about that (but it’s a winner!). Clemson has not had the best of season’s and this match against Notre Dame was a date circled to begin the season and now at 3-3 this match-up takes on even more significance along with the local media pressure that had been dumped on DaBo Swinney. Poor Dabo he will have to endure it for the rest of his 115 million dollar contract and he can’t afford to lose here and he won’t. Forget the stats and what you have witnessed up to now...”Don’t worry about the mule being blind...just load the wagon.” Take CLEMSON! |
|||||||
11-03-23 | Knicks +5.5 v. Bucks | Top | 105-110 | Win | 100 | 8 h 49 m | Show |
New York at Milwaukee 7:30 ET Knicks (+) over Bucks- Both of thee playoff clubs are off to slow starts as New York has dropped 3-of-5 while the Bucks have split four games. Milwaukee opened the season with new comer Damian Lillard leading the way while the Knicks have struggled because for the most part Julius Randle is have troubles making shots all kinds of shots including free throws and layups. The Bucks swept the series 3-0 last season and have won six straight the past two seasons. But, Milwaukee is still having adjustment issues with a new superstar joining their ranks. Take NEW YORK! |
|||||||
11-02-23 | Magic -115 v. Jazz | Top | 115-113 | Win | 100 | 9 h 55 m | Show |
Orlando at Utah 9:00 ET Magic (+) over Jazz- Utah is coming off of a ‘cake walk’ victory over Memphis where they set a franchise record of 79 points scored in the first half alone. They were 15-of-20 from the floor as the Grizzlies offered little defensive resistance. Orlando has dropped their last two after starting the season with two straight wins and are playing their fourth straight road game and this one finishes their West coast trip. This is the ‘shortest’ price that the Jazz have been favored t home in the past decade against the Magic...the book-maker has little faith in Utah so why should I.Take ORLANDO! |
|||||||
11-01-23 | Nuggets v. Wolves +3 | Top | 89-110 | Win | 100 | 11 h 49 m | Show |
Denver at Minnesota 8:00 ET Timberwolves (+) over Nuggets- Denver has won its first four games by an average score of 116-102. The Nuggets have shown no signs of a hangover on the heels of a remarkable championship season. Minnesota is off to a much bumpier start as it prepares to face Nokic and the Nuggets. The Timberwolves have dropped two of their first three games, including a 127-113 loss against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday as Atlanta erased a 19-point halftime deficit. Anthony Edwards leads the Timberwolves with 25.3 points per game to go along with 7.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists. Karl-Anthony Towns (15.7 points, 10.0 rebounds) and Rudy Gobert (14.3 points, 13.3 rebounds) each are averaging double-doubles. Take MINNESOTA! |

11-01-23 | Rangers +103 v. Diamondbacks | Top | 5-0 | Win | 103 | 17 h 17 m | Show |
Texas at Arizona 8:05 ET Rangers over Diamondbacks- Texas, which is a record 10-0 on the road in the postseason, will look to complete a perfect away run behind Nathan Eovaldi. The veteran right-hander is 4-0 with a 3.52 ERA over five postseason starts, with 36 strikeouts and five walks in 30 2/3 innings. He allowed five runs on six hits in 4 2/3 innings in Game 1, which Texas won 6-5 in 11 innings. He fanned eight and walked one. In eight career regular-season appearances (five starts) against the Diamondbacks, Eovaldi is 3-0 with a 2.78 ERA. Arizona will turn to their ace, Zac Gallen. The right-hander has not been as sharp in the postseason as he was in the regular season, going 2-2 with a 5.27 ERA in five October starts. He has given up six home runs and walked 13 batters while striking out 18 in 27 1/3 innings. My old friend Larry Ness would say take the team facing elimination (Arizona) because you can only lose once. My buddy hated the pressure of posting games to clients and just wanted the season to end. Well, I want to end it on a winner. I’m sure that I will have plenty of company (the public) with this one...Take TEXAS! |
|||||||
10-30-23 | Raiders +7.5 v. Lions | Top | 14-26 | Loss | -105 | 20 h 58 m | Show |
Las Vegas at Detroit 8:15 ET Raiders (+) over Lions- Yes, I know...the Raiders do stink and are poorly coach and I am award that Detroit is looking to rebound from the beating they took in Baltimore last week. But, in this world of NFL Draft Kings things do not always go as expected. Las Vegas has scored 20 points just once this season and that was aided by a Mac Jones safety on the final play of a 21-17 victory over the powerful Patriots. The Lions are an offensive juggernaut and have scored less then 20 points once and that was last week. The Raiders were held to 235 total yards in last weeks loss at Chicago but will have one of the NFL’s winningest starting quarterback on record (percentage wise) Jimmy Garoppolo returning to action. The Lions will be with running back David Montgomery will be sidelined once again. Take LAS VEGAS! |
|||||||
10-30-23 | Rangers -104 v. Diamondbacks | Top | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 19 h 19 m | Show |
Texas at Arizona 8:05 ET Diamondbacks over Rangers- Happy to post the Game 2 winner with Arizona and now they return home for Game 3 with people beginning to believe. Texas would be in quite a spot if they didn’t respond in the clutch as they did in Game 1, but they did and the same kind of pressure is going to be on them again. Except this time they will see three-time Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer taking the hill and while he adds confidence to his teammates the general public doesn’t have the same sentiment. His number have not been impressive in this post season with an ERA of 9.45 and is 0-1. His counterpart for the Diamondbacks is rookie Brandon Pfaadt who will be making his fifth post-season start (Max has 29 appearances) and he was 3-9, 5.72 ERA during the regular season. But, in his last two starts against the Phillies he had 16 strikeouts in just 9.2 innings with only two walks and six hits allowed. Game 3 of the World Series I’ll back experience...take TEXAS! |
|||||||
10-29-23 | Bears v. Chargers -8.5 | Top | 13-30 | Win | 100 | 21 h 29 m | Show |
Chicago at Los Angeles Chargers 8:20 ET Chargers (-) over Bears- Talk about over-reaction the public is going gaga over a rookie QB he got a start and won against the Raiders and they have virtually written out the LA Chargers as their most recent efforts have fallen short. Chicago’s undrafted, unheralded and unknown quarterback Tyson Bagent has captured the attention of America with his performance (21 0f 29 162 yards) against Las Vegas last Sunday, but his 15 minutes of fame will be short-lived. The Chargers problems are many but their biggest problem in passing defense where they rank last allowing 310 YPG but the Bulls also have defensive pass troubles that Justin Herbert will exploit. Experience will be the difference here as Herbert will throw the ball down field something the Bears don’t do. Take LA CHARGERS! |
|||||||
10-29-23 | Chiefs v. Broncos +7 | Top | 9-24 | Win | 100 | 15 h 28 m | Show |
Kansas City at Denver 4:25 ET Broncos (+) over Chiefs- Kansas City is playing a champion should and winning six straight after an opening week loss to Detroit . Last week they defeated the impostor Chargers and have covered three straight. Included among their victories was a 19-8 Thursday night win over the Broncos their 16 straight win on the series and it has been 20 ears since Denver has won this game at home. The Chiefs have a contest against Miami next week overseas and they follow that with a Super Bowl rematch as the host Philadelphia. Russell Wilson has put up decent number but they have little value when he punks out near the red zone. Somehow, someway the Broncos get it done here and have a legitimate chance to win the game. Take the points with DENVER! |
|||||||
10-29-23 | Vikings v. Packers +1 | Top | 24-10 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 0 m | Show |
Minnesota at Green Bay 1:00 ET Packers (+) over Vikings- Oh my, it appears that their is love for Love anymore in Green Bay. Now, the Packers fans are loyal and will always support their QB’s but the play on the field says the kid just doesn’t have ‘it’. Minnesota was impressive in their Power Play winner for us Monday night and everybody has taken notice of their winning 3-of-4 with Cousins throwing on 75% of their plays. Buy low, sell high...right now the Packers value in plunging while the Vikings’ stock is soaring. Green Bay returns home after a pair of road defeats and three straight losses overall will be psyched up for this division rival who they defeated 41-17 in the last meeting as a 3.5-point home favorite. Take GREEN BAY! |
|||||||
10-28-23 | North Carolina v. Georgia Tech +12.5 | Top | 42-46 | Win | 100 | 30 h 41 m | Show |
North Carolina at Georgia Tech 8:00 ET Yellow Jackets (+) over Tar Heels- The Tar Heels 31-27 loss to Virginia may be too much for them too overcome to qualify for the College Football Playoffs and they know that it was a death blow to the season’s dream. Oh, they will recover but this game on the road after an unexpected loss to a sub par competition is a mine field to navigate. Georgia Tech has won three games but did surrender 563 yards to Boston College last week although gaining 452 themselves. The Engineers have won four of the last five meetings and are 32-22-3 lifetime with the first meeting in 1915. Take GEORGIA TECH! |
|||||||
10-27-23 | Diamondbacks +152 v. Rangers | Top | 5-6 | Loss | -100 | 42 h 46 m | Show |
Arizona at Texas 8:00 ET Diamondback over Rangers- So. whose ‘mojo’ is stronger...both of these clubs have used the underdog role to their advantage can be said that Arizona who had the worst qualifying record to make the playoffs and it may be Arizona as few expected them out of them. I can not say that I expected it but we did play them all the way and here we are, Player by player match-ups really mean little in the playoffs and stats put up by the winners are hard to grasp both good and bad. Arizona’s Zack Gallen the All-star game winner had a rocky second half and his last five playoff deciding games have not gone well. In his last 28 innings he’s surrendered 31 hits with six homers and 15 earned runs actually going 2-0 over that span. Mojo is a bitch and difficult to overcome when up against it. Texas starter Nathan Eovaldi has won four straight postseason starts not including his three appearances over eight innings in the 2018 Word Series against the Dodgers surrendering just three hits and one run on a Max Muncy home run. But alas, as it appears to me the baseball Gods may have ordained the Diamondbacks...Take ARIZONA! |
|||||||
10-24-23 | Diamondbacks +155 v. Phillies | Top | 4-2 | Win | 155 | 18 h 56 m | Show |
Arizona at Philadelphia 5:07 ET Diamondbacks over Phillies- Who do you think is feeling more pressure in this Game 7 the heavily favored Phillies or the happy to be here with nothing to lose upstart Diamondbacks. I sort of loaded that like political poll questions. But, we have seen this before as a matter of fact in three previous playoff series this post season. No doubt Philadelphia feels more comfortable at home but they are no longer unbeaten as host in the playoffs. I really don’t believe it matters who the starting pitchers are as the first sign of trouble they’ll get the quick hook. Arizona going with rookie Brandon Pfaadt who has a 2.13 ERA in the postseason and the Brotherly Love boys will send Rangers Suarez 1-0, with a 0.64 ERA in the postseason. Oddly enough in the 141 year history of the Philadelphia Baseball Club they have never played in a Game 7. Suarez is 3-0 in postseason with a 0.94 ERA overall but against the Snakes he is 1-3 with a 5.09 ERA in nine appearances. Phillies have to have some doubt now because you know, they had a chance to win it yesterday. Take ARIZONA! |
|||||||
10-22-23 | Browns v. Colts +3.5 | Top | 39-38 | Win | 100 | 10 h 22 m | Show |
Chip’s AFC North/South Game of Year Cleveland at Indianapolis 1:00 ET Colts (+) over Browns- No QB, that’s no problem when you have the NFL’s best defense! The Browns are allowing just 204 YPG and ranked #32 passing with only 53% completions allowed. Indy was a major disappointment to many last week as the Colts continue to come up lame, but will have Jonathan Taylor join AFC leading rusher Zack Moss. With ‘MInshew Magic’ Indy has the QB advantage especially over PJ Walker, Robinson or even Watson (no practice this week)! Browns will be off 49ers upset and should get caught on the road as Indy rebounds here.Take INDIANAPOLIS! |
|||||||
10-21-23 | Phillies v. Diamondbacks +123 | Top | 6-1 | Loss | -100 | 19 h 50 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Arizona 8:07 ET Diamondbacks over Phillies- When in Rome...do what Romans due! When in Arizona do what Snakes a do and when in Philadelphia do what the Phils do...win. I know how good Wheeler is I saw it in New York but Philly is different at the plate here as to the tiny bandbox they play in (actually it’s pretty nice park). But, I can not fight this home team mojo or karma. Take ARIZONA! |
|||||||
10-21-23 | Ole Miss v. Auburn +6.5 | Top | 28-21 | Loss | -105 | 23 h 52 m | Show |
Mississippi at Auburn 7:00 ET Tigers (+) over Rebels- Mississippi (5-1, 2-1) is led by QB Jaxson Dart iwho s completing 64.1 percent of his passes through six games for 1,638 yards with 12 touchdowns and just two interceptions. He's also on pace to rush for more than 600 yards. Auburn has struggled through the air against LSU and may look to other options. Auburn holds a 35-12 lead in the all-time series, including a 17-3 mark at home. Ole Miss took a 48-34 win last year in Oxford. But, the Tigers will win here on defense. Take AUBURN! |
|||||||
10-21-23 | Penn State v. Ohio State -4.5 | Top | 12-20 | Win | 100 | 25 h 60 m | Show |
Penn State at Ohio State 12:00 ET Buckeyes (-) over Nittany Lions- Penn State has been outrageous dominating their opponents with what is the No. 1 defense in college football allowing just 194 total yards per game. They also lead the nation’s with a low of 3.4 YPP and a 49.4% completion rate. Now, here’s the rub, they have played UMass, Illinois, Northwestern, Delaware and oh yeah Iowa out-scoring these ‘powers’ 236 to 33. This time out they will be overwhelmed in the second half as they have yet to play ‘hard’ a full 60 minutes. Take OHIO STATE! |
|||||||
10-20-23 | Phillies v. Diamondbacks +115 | Top | 5-6 | Win | 115 | 8 h 42 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Arizona 8:00 ET Diamondbacks over Phillies- It is difficult for me personally to grasp the concept of bullpen pitchers starting post-season games when a team has had a rotation for 162 games. Arizona is going to an ‘All-staff’ mode in Game 4 of the NCLS and for them hopefully it will keep the Phillies sluggers off balance. But, it appears that the home field is the key factor in this series as Philadelphia’s bats have gone cold in the desert heat. Cristopher Sanchez gets the start for Philly and he has an ERA of 27.00 against the D’backs in 1.2 innings. Take ARIZONA! |
|||||||
10-19-23 | Jaguars v. Saints -116 | Top | 31-24 | Loss | -116 | 32 h 59 m | Show |
Jacksonville at New Orleans 8:15 ET Saints (+) over Jaguars- Three seems to be the key number in this match-up as the Jaguars have won three straight while New Orleans has dropped 3-of-4 with their win coming over hapless New England. Last week public seemed to gravitate against Jacksonville after their stint in London and were surprised at the ease in which they beat the Colts. Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence is banged up but is expected to play while Derek Carr who sat out the previous week had 353 yards passing in last weeks loss and that would be more than enough this week. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
|||||||
10-19-23 | James Madison v. Marshall +3.5 | Top | 20-9 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 10 m | Show |
James Madison at Marshall 7:00 ET Thundering Herd (+) over Dukes- James Madison is 6-0 and still trail two other clubs Georgia State and Old Dominion in the Sun Belt East and now they will meet their toughest foe the the season on the road. Marshall has dropped their last but are 18-4 straight-up when coming off consecutive losses. This include 8-2-2 ATS as home underdogs to undefeated teams. I expect them to win outright but will be happy to take the points. Take MARSHALL! |
|||||||
10-16-23 | Diamondbacks +150 v. Phillies | Top | 3-5 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 10 m | Show |
Arizona at Philadelphia 8:05 ET Diamondbacks over Phillies- Philadelphia is looking to return to the World Series and with Bryce Harper on a mission they are the favorite and will open the NCLS with Zack Wheeler (1-0, 2.08 ERA postseason) he allowed one run and struck out eight in 6 2/3 innings in a win over the Miami Marlins in the wild-card round. He permitted three runs (two earned) and fanned 10 in 6 1/3 frames of a no-decision against Atlanta. He is 6-3 with a 2.96 ERA in 11 career appearances (all starts) against Arizona after splitting a pair of decisions versus the Diamondbacks in the regular season. Arizona will send right-hander Zac Gallen (2-0, 3.18) to the hill and he has been consistent in his two starts in the postseason. He yielded two runs on five hits in each start to help Arizona record a sweep over both the Milwaukee Brewers (in the wild-card round) and Dodgers (in the NLDS). Gallen is 3-1 with a 2.22 ERA in five career appearances (all starts) versus the Phillies. Through it all I spoke of the ‘mojo’ and a case can be made for both sides and this has become the a move for the most unlikely scenario as the Phillies did last season. Take ARIZONA! |
|||||||
10-15-23 | Rangers +124 v. Astros | Top | 2-0 | Win | 124 | 22 h 34 m | Show |
Texas at Houston 8:15 ET Astros over Rangers- The fact is these two teams ended in a tie and their number pan out to a virtual dead-heat. Texas has won five consecutive games to open this postseason, matching the longest such streak in franchise history and will start left-hander Jordan Montgomery he is 4-2 with a 2.79 ERA in 11 starts with Texas this season and is 1-0 in the playoffs with a 3.27 ERA against the Rays and Orioles. His start on Sunday will be his first career postseason start against Houston and he is 1-1 with a 3.73 ERA over six career starts against the Astros. Now, even more impressive is Justin Verlander whose lifetime record against the Rangers has been dominating as he is 21-8 2.60 ERA ,242 strikeouts in 218 innings only 174 hits surrendered. Besides those incredible numbers he is also 17-11 with a 3.54 ERA in 36 career postseason appearances. Some choice huh...think about this Houston has won seven of the last eight meetings. But as I have said before when a team is playing with ‘mojo’ as the Rangers are things happen...take TEXAS! |
|||||||
10-15-23 | Eagles v. Jets +6.5 | Top | 14-20 | Win | 100 | 17 h 45 m | Show |
Philadelphia at New York Jets 4:25 ET Jets (+) over Eagles- Talk about a one-sided series and match-up! Philadelphia is 12-0 lifetime against the Jets and have outscored the ‘Green Slime’ by a 335-195 margin dating back 60 years (Ha), I guess the beat-goes-on. The different between the starting quarterbacks could not be more pronounced as Wilson is in his third year struggle and Hurts has become a superstar. The Eagles are soaring into this encounter 5-0 but will be without both defensive ends which will help New York powerful ground game. look for the Jets to fly over the soaring Eagles. Take NEW YORK JETS! |
|||||||
10-15-23 | Lions v. Bucs +3.5 | Top | 20-6 | Loss | -115 | 17 h 35 m | Show |
Detroit at Tampa Bay 4:25 ET Buccaneers (+) over Lions- Detroit already has a 2-game lead in the NFC North and will travel to meet last years NFL South Division winner. Tampa bay has shown more than what is expected from them so far. The Buc’s have turned to QB Baker Mayfield this season and it appears that he has matured into the position with seven TD passes and better decision making. Tampa is off a bye week after smothering the Saints 26-9 and rely on a defense that has 12 sacks and 10 forced turnovers. The Lions are beset with injuries and their will be no Androcles to hell their wounds. Take TAMPA BAY! |
|||||||
10-14-23 | NC State +3.5 v. Duke | Top | 3-24 | Loss | -110 | 20 h 33 m | Show |
NC State at Duke 8:00 ET Wolfpack (+) over Blue Devils- After the way Duke blew the Notre Dame game and cover and I have a sour taste in my month when thinking of this Blue Devil squad. NC State brought in former Virginia QB graduate transfer Brennan Armstrong and he wasn’t able to do the job with the Cavaliers and has been ever worse with the Wolfpack and has been replace by MJ Morris. Duke has been resting since that debacle two weeks ago and may have trouble getting focused. Take NC STATE! |
|||||||
10-14-23 | Miami-FL +3 v. North Carolina | Top | 31-41 | Loss | -110 | 20 h 38 m | Show |
Miami-Fl at North Carolina 7:30 ET Hurricanes (+) over Tar Heels- How about those Hurricanes! Coming back from a decade of misery Miami-FL was on track to be considered one of the NCAA Finalist and a poor coaching decision and a defensive breakdown squandered their opportunity to remain a contender. North Carolina has one of the and expect Drake Maye to be a first round draft pick but, he will be up against an angry bunch who look to atone for their grave error. Miami led 20-17 and could have knelt on the ball to end the game on a third-and-10 play, as there was just 33 seconds left and the Yellow Jackets had no timeouts remaining, but instead the Hurricanes ran the ball and fumbled it. Moments later, Georgia Tech's Haynes King tossed the game-winning touchdown pass. North Carolina is 13-11 against Miami and has won four straight games in the series. The Hurricanes haven't won in Chapel Hill since 2017. That all changes here. Take MIAMI-FL! |
|||||||
10-14-23 | Missouri +2.5 v. Kentucky | Top | 38-21 | Win | 100 | 19 h 58 m | Show |
Missouri at Kentucky 7:30 ET Tigers (+) over Wildcats- Two weeks ago Kentucky took down Florida as our SEC Power Play winner and last week we posted Georgia (-14.5) a 51-13 as our Highest-Rated Megabucks winner over the Wildcats and now we look to repeat. Missouri was undefeated and gave LSU everything they had for three quarters before the Bayou Tigers prevailed. The Tigers are a well balanced solid club that has beaten Kentucky seven of eight and have only been the favorite twice and they can beat you a number of different ways.The Wildcats QB Devin Leary has completed just 54.8 percent of his passes for 1,257 yards and 12 touchdowns, with five interceptions, this season. Take MISSOURI! |
|||||||
10-14-23 | Oregon +3.5 v. Washington | Top | 33-36 | Win | 100 | 15 h 47 m | Show |
Oregon at Washington 3:30 ET Ducks (+) over Huskies- Here is the Pac-12 folding and this is the first time both No. 7 Washington and No. 8 Oregon have been ranked in the Top 10 when meeting in the rivalry's 123-year history. This contest features a pair of quarterbacks who are Heisman Trophy candidates: Oregon's Bo Nix and Washington's Michael Penix Jr. Both the Ducks (5-0, 2-0 Pac-12) and Huskies (5-0, 2-0) are coming off bye weeks that helped them get healthy. Penix is averaging 399.8 yards per game with 16 touchdowns; Nix has an 80.4 completion percentage with 15 TDs. The Huskies defeated the Ducks 37-34 last season in Eugene, Ore., on a 43-yard field goal with 51 seconds remaining. Revenge will be sweet for a team ranked in Top-10 on both offense and defense. Take OREGON! |
|||||||
10-12-23 | Broncos +10.5 v. Chiefs | Top | 8-19 | Loss | -110 | 26 h 50 m | Show |
Denver at Kansas City 8:15 ET Broncos (+) over Chiefs- I noticed that Russell Wilson is the third rated (106,1) quarterback in the NFL behind Purdy and Tagovaloa, but he doesn’t pass my personal eye test as he has lost a step and goes not to easily. That being said Denver overall has been a major disappointment as their overall play is so substandard especially their defense. Now, Kansas City is who we believe they are am I am wondering just how serious they are taking the Broncos as they have defeated them an unbelievable 15 straight times. The Chiefs are not worried about the Broncos have next week off followed by a home game against the Chargers and may not be fully focused...I hope! Take DENVER! |
|||||||
10-11-23 | Braves v. Phillies -122 | Top | 2-10 | Win | 100 | 17 h 2 m | Show |
Atlanta at Philadelphia 6:00 ET Phillies over Braves- Hey, how ‘bout those pitching moves made by the Phillies in Game Two...No sense sticking with what is working if I can show every one how smart I am. Yep, that’s how I see it. Now, Aaron Nola is one started that the Phils management allows to pitch deep into games and even sometimes to a fault but not regularly. Nola has already thrown seven shutout playoff innings and he is 15-10 with a 3.40 ERA lifetime against the Braves logging 202 innings and only surrendering 178 hits with 203 strikeouts. Philly is 8-2 in their last 10 home playoff games. Braves with all the rest still haven’t decided who their starter will be, that doesn’t bode confidence to me...Take PHILADELPHIA! |
|||||||
10-10-23 | Orioles v. Rangers -133 | Top | 1-7 | Win | 100 | 18 h 48 m | Show |
Baltimore at Texas 8:05 ET Rangers over Orioles- It’s too bad at least from my eyes of what is about to happen because although ‘we’ did not play on the Orioles much during the season it was a joy to watch them come to play day in and day out. But, the playoffs are a different animal and if you have never been there before things are just a little different. Now, that withstanding it holds the same for Texas except that that came in starting with a hand that became hot after opener beating Tampa 2-0 and then veteran Nathan Ecvaldi (12-5, 3.65 ERA) closed out the Rays leading the way as they swept the Rays 7-1. Nathan has had clutch playoff performances and his confidence keeps these ferociously vicious Rangers bats relaxed. They are ON the ball. Take TEXAS! |
|||||||
10-08-23 | Cowboys +4 v. 49ers | Top | 10-42 | Loss | -120 | 30 h 55 m | Show |
Dallas at San Francisco 8:20 ET Cowboys (+) over 49ers- A rematch of NFC’s playoff contenders that have met in the post season the past tow years with the Niners winning both. San Francisco along with Philadelphia are the two remaining undefeated NFL squads. The Cowboys have three wins of 20 points or more and the 49ers have a pair of 18-point victories. QB Broke Purdy was 20-of-21 last week against Arizona and still hasn’t loss a regular season game as a starter. That ends here! Look for the Cowboys ‘D’ to assert itself. Take DALLAS! |
|||||||
10-08-23 | Rangers v. Orioles -113 | Top | 11-8 | Loss | -113 | 13 h 38 m | Show |
Texas at Baltimore 4:05 ET Orioles over Rangers- Baltimore was able to take a deep breath after their opening series loss 3-2 to the Rangers as they realize this is a best of five series. Texas will send Jordan Montgomery to the hill and he opened the Wild Card round defeating Tampa Bay 2-0 with seven shutout innings and he is 3-1 with a 3.04 ERA in 16 career starts against the O’s. The Orioles send rookie Grayson Rodriguez who closed the season 5-2 in his last 13 starts with a 2.58 ERA. These birds have been the best in the AL all season and I expect them to respond today. Take BALTIMORE! |
|||||||
10-08-23 | Jaguars +6 v. Bills | Top | 25-20 | Win | 100 | 20 h 60 m | Show |
Jacksonville vs. Buffalo 9:30 ET Jaguars (+) over Bills- This contest is interesting on so many levels that I don’t really know where to start. I will with the location which is of course London, England and that throws a money wrench at us to start with. Jacksonville has made these games played overseas their home away from home as this is their 12th appearance including a win over Atlanta last week. Buffalo is coming off a huge win over Miami while the Jaguars remained to play for the second week in-a-row. These two met at Wembley Stadium in 2015 with the Jaguars winning 34-31 and I expect much of the same this time around. Take JACKSONVILLE! |

10-07-23 | Kentucky v. Georgia -14 | Top | 13-51 | Win | 100 | 19 h 47 m | Show |
Kentucky at Georgia 7:00 ET Bulldogs (-) over Wildcats- Georgia has won 22 straight games and had to rally from 10-points down to defeat Auburn last week but they never panicked. With this Kentucky entering Athens the Bulldogs will look to bottle up Kentucky star running back Ray Davis who ran for 280 yards against Florida last week. That put Georgia on notice and although the Wildcats are 5-0 they have not seen anything like this Bulldog defense. Pedigree is the difference and the Bulldogs have it. Take GEORGIA! |
|||||||
10-07-23 | Oklahoma +5.5 v. Texas | Top | 34-30 | Win | 100 | 24 h 15 m | Show |
Oklahoma vs Texas 12:00 ET Sooners (+) over Longhorns- There was a time this Red River Rivalry was the biggest experience in college football but educators have mad a mess of that. Both clubs are undefeated and 5-0 and this should have national implications as Texas has already beaten Alabama and Oklahoma is looking to atone for last year’s 49-0 thrashing. Sooners QB Dillon Gabriel was down with an injury last season and he is something the Longhorns will have trouble with. Take OKLAHOMA! 1 |
|||||||
10-06-23 | Kansas State v. Oklahoma State +11.5 | Top | 21-29 | Win | 100 | 19 h 6 m | Show |
Kansas State at Oklahoma State 7:30 ET Cowboys (+) over Wildcats- From what I have seen to date the best thing I can think of to say about Oklahoma State is that teams get better with good coaching and the Cowboys have well respected Mike Gundy at the helm and he is an amazing 14-3 SU when the Cowboys are exactly .500 including 9-0 ATS against teams with winning records. OSU has won seven of eight home meetings since 2003. Take OKLAHOMA STATE! |
|||||||
10-04-23 | Marlins +142 v. Phillies | Top | 1-7 | Loss | -100 | 15 h 46 m | Show |
Miami at Philadelphia 8:05 ET Marlins over Phillies- I can not recall how many times I thought that Miami was done and their run was ready to come to an end. But, the resilient Marlins hung in and on into the post season and once again it looks like they are finished. Tonight, they send Braxton Garrett (9-7, 3.66 ERA) to the mound and he has had one outing against the Phillies last season where he struck out 11 and is 2-1 with a 4.50 ERA. Philadelphia will go with work horse Aaron Nola (12-9, 4.46) while going 0-1 with a 5.47 in his final five starts. He is also 5-10 with a 3.58 ERA against Miami in 23 appearances including a pair of losses this year in three starts surrendering 13 runs in 16 innings giving up five home runs. Take MIAMI! |
|||||||
10-04-23 | Diamondbacks +116 v. Brewers | Top | 5-2 | Win | 116 | 14 h 47 m | Show |
Arizona at Milwaukee 7:05 ET Diamondbacks over Brewers- The Diamondbacks came through for ‘us’ yesterday as our Top-Rated Wild Card winner and made a hefty profit. After losing their final four games of the regular season Arizona is ready to advance with a win behind their ace Zac Gallen (17-9, 3.47 ERA) who is 3-3 with a 1.75 ERA in six appearances against Milwaukee. In two starts this season against the Brewers he was 2-0 in 14 innings allowing just six hits and only one run (on a homer). The desperate Brewers can not use scheduled starter Brandon Woodruff and will go with Freddy Peralta (12-10, 3.86) and he is 3-0 with an era of 0.55 in 16 innings with 24 strikeouts. No doubt he has been great against the Diamondbacks but baseball is a team game and funky stuff happens in the playoffs. Take ARIZONA! |
|||||||
10-04-23 | Blue Jays v. Twins -128 | Top | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 11 h 18 m | Show |
Toronto at Minnesota 4:35 ET Twins over Blue Jays- The Twins felt like that were going to end their record 18-game post-season streak end they saw their nemesis the New York Yankees failed to make the playoffs. the Yankees had defeated Minnesota 16-of 17 playoff games dating back to the Tins last post season victory which came in 2004. Toronto manager John Schneider said the they will not dwell on their loss...so I expect them to lose again so he will have a strong memory of their post defeat. Sonny Gray (8-8, 2.79 ERA) gets the start for hr Twins and he is 4-4 with a 2.91 ERA in 15 career appearances against the Blue Jays. Toronto will send Jose Berrios (11-12, 3.65) to the mound and he is 3-1 with a 4.03 ERA pitching 5.2 scoreless innings in May. Not today. Take MINNESOTA! |
|||||||
10-02-23 | Seahawks v. Giants +1.5 | Top | 24-3 | Loss | -110 | 26 h 5 m | Show |
Seattle at New York Giants 8:15 ET Giants (+) over Seahawks- To start with the Seahawks have never lost at Giants Stadium (5-0) even winning a Super Bowl there while New York was watching it on TV. Expectations were high for the Giants this season a bit too high I believe and they have shown that to be true up to now. Seattle once again has been an over-achiever and I get you have to credit their coaching for that but at time that is their Achilles heel. The key factor here is that the Giants have had 10 days to regroup after their 30-12 beat-down from the Niners. NY lost at Seattle last season and if their coaching is where I expect them to be the Giants should move the ball and keep the Hawks below the 37-points that they have scored in their last two games. Take NEW YORK GIANTS |
|||||||
10-01-23 | Chiefs v. Jets +9 | Top | 23-20 | Win | 100 | 29 h 49 m | Show |
Kansas City at New York Jets 8:20 ET Jets (+) over Chiefs- Poor Jets and poor NFL, their will be no Rodgers and Mahomes shootout as New York is stuck with Zach Wilson whom is the major part of the Jets failure on offense. In an era where a 67% completion rate is average Wilson’s is at 52.4% with only two TD’s and four interceptions this season. New York’s defense is supposed to be ‘elite’ and other than a second half effort against Buffalo they have not been there yet this year. The defense comes to play tonight to spare themselves the embarrassment for what most people expect to see happen. It won’t! Take the NEW YORK JETS! |
|||||||
10-01-23 | Bengals v. Titans +2.5 | Top | 3-27 | Win | 100 | 21 h 23 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Tennessee 1:00 ET Titans (+) over Bengals- So, thing are now supposed to be alright with the Bengals who posted their first win of the season over the Rams Monday night. Well, not so fst my friend! Cincinnati did have six sacks against LA but quarterback Joe Burrow still does not look the same. Maybe it is rust from not playing during the preseason in which he was hurt or maybe his injury is hampering his play because to me he still hasn’t passed the eye test. In other words he don’t look so good. The Titans are off a 27-3 loss at Cleveland (A-Play winner) and their is little that can said in a positive vein about their performance. But, like most professional teams when they have a game like that they play with more intensity and compassion the following week. Take TENNESSEE! |
|||||||
09-30-23 | Reds -117 v. Cardinals | Top | 6-15 | Loss | -117 | 17 h 29 m | Show |
Cincinnati at St. Louis 7:15 ET Reds over Cardinals- It doesn’t look like St. Louis is playing the spoiler as they continue to fade no matter who they may be playing. Starting left-hander Drew Rom (1-4, 7.98 ERA) to the hill to face a team that scored 19 runs the night before. Now, this wasn’t a meaningless contest as the win moved Cincinnati into a tie with the Cubs for the final Wild Card spot. Rom has surrendered 13 runs in 6.2 innings in his last two starts and the Reds can not wait to get to the plate. Take CINCINNATI! |
|||||||
09-30-23 | LSU v. Ole Miss +2.5 | Top | 49-55 | Win | 100 | 22 h 35 m | Show |
LSU at Mississippi 6:00 ET Rebels (+) over Tigers- LSU has bounced back from a season-opening loss to Florida State with three straight victories, including back-to-back conference wins in the last two weekends. The Tigers (3-1, 2-0) and the Rebels (3-1, 0-1) have both shown short-coming as the Ole Miss offense has had issues and LSU on defense. The Rebels were 7-0 and ranked No. 7 in the country last season when LSU beat them 45-20 in Baton Rouge, La. and look to atone for that performance. Take MISSISSIPPI! |
|||||||
09-29-23 | Cincinnati -115 v. BYU | Top | 27-35 | Loss | -115 | 20 h 26 m | Show |
Cincinnati at BYU 10:15 ET Bearcats over Cougars- BYU will aim to bounce back from a 38-27 loss at Kansas in its Big 12 opener. After three non-conference victories BYU quarterback Kedon Slovis completed 30 of 51 passes for 357 yards with two scores and two interceptions. The Cougars (3-1, 0-1 Big 12) got nothing from their ground game (22 attempts, 9 yards) and allowed 6 yards per carry to the Jayhawks. Cincinnati (2-2, 0-1) got Oklahoma at home for its first Big 12 game and kept the Sooners in check but couldn't do enough on offense in a 20-6 loss last week. The Bearcats held the Sooners 35 points under their average but went just 3-for-15 on third-down conversions and couldn't find the end zone. Bearcats tougher than most believe. Take CINCINNATI! |
|||||||
09-29-23 | Cubs v. Brewers -111 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 26 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at Milwaukee 8:10 ET Brewers over Cubs- The Chicago Cubs' wild-card hopes run directly through Milwaukee and they will start Right-hander Kyle Hendricks (6-8, 3.66 ERA) against the Brewers Friday night. The Cubs (82-77) lost at Atlanta 5-3 on Thursday, capping a three-game sweep by the Braves. He is 10-8 with a 3.40 ERA against them in his career, Chicago, 6-13 in its last 19 games, is a half-game behind Miami (82-76) for the final NL wild-card spot. Milwaukee (90-69) clinched the division title on Tuesday when the Cubs lost at Atlanta will start right-hander Colin Rea (6-6, 4.74) gets the nod for Milwaukee. Rea is 1-1 with a 2.79 ERA in five September appearances, including two starts. Take MILWAUKEE! |
|||||||
09-28-23 | Rangers v. Mariners -119 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 18 h 17 m | Show |
Texas at Seattle 9:40 ET Mariners over Rangers- Seattle trails the division leading Texas Rangers by four games with four left to play but are only one game behind Houston for the AL Wild Card spot. At home with their backs against the wall the Mariners are going with their best in Logan Gilbert ( 13-7, 3.75 ERA) whose last outting was a 2-0 loss to The Rangers in Arlington. He is avering a strike out and inning and only eight hits per nine innings pitched. Jordan Montgomery (4-2, 2.92 ERA with Texas) started and won that game at home and now the forces have shifted. Take SEATTLE! |
|||||||
09-28-23 | Lions v. Packers +2 | Top | 34-20 | Loss | -108 | 16 h 19 m | Show |
Detroit at Green Bay 8:15 ET Packers (+)mover Lions- Both of these clubs are off victories that came in a totally different fashion. Detroit dominated Detroit dominated Atlanta in a 20-3 win while Green Bay had to come back from a 17-0 fourth quarter deficit (something they had never achieved at home in their100 year history) beating New Orleans 18-17. The Packer rally was led by Jordan Love who has a QB rating even below Justin Fields. Some how the Pack show they may not be totally back but good enough to win here. Take GREEN BAY! |
|||||||
09-27-23 | Astros -118 v. Mariners | Top | 8-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 26 m | Show |
Houston at Seattle 9:40 ET Astros over Mariners- The Mariners (85-72) beat the Astros 6-2 Tuesday to even the series at a game apiece. The Astros have lost 10 of their past 14 games as they try to extend their playoff streak to seven consecutive seasons. They've won two World Series in that span, including last year's. The Mariners are one-half game behind the Astros in the standings but even in the loss column. While the Mariners are facing the Rangers, the Astros will end the season with three games against the Arizona Diamondbacks, who are in a fierce fight for a National League wild-card berth. Bryce Miller (8-6, 4.17 ERA) has faced the Astros twice this season, winning both without allowing an earned run on just four hits over 12 1/3 innings. Miller is 0-2 with a 5.49 ERA in September and the Astros will counter with left-hander Framber Valdez (12-11, 3.39). He is 5-1 with a 2.76 ERA in 11 career appearances (nine starts) against the Mariners. Take HOUSTON! |
|||||||
09-26-23 | Astros v. Mariners -123 | Top | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 10 h 51 m | Show |
Mariners over Astros- The Mariners (84-72) dropped 1 1/2 games behind Houston (86-71) in the chase for the American League's third and final wild-card playoff berth with a 5-1 loss to the visiting Astros on Monday night. Seattle, which will play host to Houston again on Tuesday, has two games left against the Astros before concluding the regular season with a four-game home series against the AL West-leading Texas Rangers (88-68). The Mariners have lost four games in a row overall, and they lost the past 10 games they played against teams with winning records. The Tuesday game is scheduled to feature a matchup of right-handers, Houston's Cristian Javier (9-4, 4.64 ERA) and Seattle's George Kirby (11-10, 3.58). Javier is 0-2 with a 5.25 ERA over his past five starts. Javier is 3-1 with a 2.45 ERA in eight career appearances (five starts) against the Mariners. Kirby earned his first victory since Aug. 5 with a 6-3 decision on Wednesday at Oakland. He gave up three runs on eight hits with three strikeouts and no walks in seven innings. Kirby is 1-0 with a 2.53 ERA in two career starts against the Astros. He beat them 5-1 on July 6 in Houston with 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball. Take SEATTLE!

09-26-23 | Reds v. Guardians -102 | Top | 11-7 | Loss | -102 | 6 h 59 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Cleveland 6:40 ETWatch Dogs over Reds- The Reds (80-77) reside 2 1/2 games out of the third and final wild-card slot in the National League with five games remaining on their schedule. All five of those games are on the road, too. Cincinnati right-hander Hunter Greene (4-6, 4.24 ERA) will look to build off his career-high 14-strikeout performance when he takes the mound for the series opener. The Guardians (74-83), who are eliminated from postseason contention, will send fellow right-hander Lucas Giolito (8-14, 4.60) to the mound Tuesday. Giolito, 29, fell for the sixth time in seven starts on Wednesday after permitting four runs (three earned) in 5 1/3 innings during a 6-2 setback to the Kansas City Royals. Included in Giolito's losing stretch was a 4-3 setback to the Reds on Aug. 22 while he was pitching for the Los Angeles Angels. Giolito yielded four runs (one earned) on five hits in six innings in that contest. Seven of Giolito’s wins have come when pitching in Chicago. Take CLEVELAND!

09-25-23 | Padres v. Giants +106 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 106 | 10 h 47 m | Show |
San Diego at San Francisco 9:45 ET Giants over Padres- It seems a bit unbelievable to see the Giants and Pares tied with the exact same record. At the season’s start maybe we could have considered it but San Diego is making a too late serge that has seen them win nine of their last 10 games while San Francisco has dropped eight of their last 10, ergo 77-79. Both teams trail the Cubs for the final NL playoff spot bt five games with six games remaining. Each team will have its ace going in the series opener, with Padres left-hander Blake Snell (14-9, 2.33 ERA) opposing Giants righty Logan Webb (10-13, 3.35). Snell has more at stake this week than just a longshot's bid for the playoffs. He has pitched himself into the thick of the NL Cy Young Award race by going unbeaten in his last five starts, running off four straight wins with a 0.56 ERA. Webb has yet to face the Padres this season, leaving his career mark against them at 2-2 with a 2.77 ERA in nine head-to-heads. Giants bounce back here. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
|||||||
09-25-23 | Eagles v. Bucs +5 | Top | 25-11 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 47 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Tampa Bay 7:15 ET Buccaneers (+) over Eagles- Much has changed for Baker Mayfield since the last time he faced the Philadelphia Eagles. He went 6-8 with the Browns in 2021 and 2-8 with the Carolina Panthers and Los Angeles Rams last season. Mayfield was in his third season with the Browns when he directed a 22-17 victory over Philadelphia in Cleveland on Nov. 22, 2020. Jalen Hurts began in Philadelphia as the then-rookie quarterback and won his first two starts this season and is 19-1 in his last 20 regular-season starts, his numbers are down this year. Take TAMPA BAY! |
|||||||
09-24-23 | Patriots v. Jets +3 | Top | 15-10 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 58 m | Show |
New England at New York Jets 1:00 ET Jets (+) over Patriots- The last time the New York Jets defeated the New England Patriots, Barack Obama was president as the Patriots have beaten the Jets 14 straight times. Mac Jones leads the league in pass attempts, having completed 66 of 96 throws for 547 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions through two games but he Patriots have gained just 164 yards on the ground, sixth fewest in the league. The Jets' young core has not been part of many defeats to New England, but players recognize the losing streak and want to start their own history. This is the start of a Jets streak over the Pats. Take NEW YORK JETS! |
|||||||
09-24-23 | Broncos +6 v. Dolphins | Top | 20-70 | Loss | -109 | 14 h 57 m | Show |
Denver at Miami 1:00 ET Broncos (+) over Dolphins- Mike McDaniel took over as Dolphins coach last season, leading the team to a 9-8 record and its first playoff appearance since 2016. Miami (2-0) picked up right where it left off under McDaniel, as the Dolphins are averaging 30 points and a league-best 462.5 yards per game following last Sunday's 24-17 victory over the New England Patriots. Denver hasn't been able to get in the win column just yet, Russell Wilson is finally starting to look like the quarterback the Broncos thought they were trading for. The Broncos led 21-3 at one point but surrendered 10 points in the final 1:47 of the first half before crumbling following the break. Denver's two losses have come by a combined three points, and executing plays when it matters most is quickly becoming an issue. This time they get it done. Take DENVER! |

09-23-23 | Ohio State -3 v. Notre Dame | Top | 17-14 | Push | 0 | 21 h 3 m | Show |
Ohio State at Notre Dame 8:00 ET Buckeyes (-) over Fighting Irish- Notre Dame signal-caller Sam Hartman will make his 50th career start on Saturday when the No. 9 Fighting Irish host No. 6 Ohio State. Hartman has thrown for 13 touchdowns with no interceptions and has Notre Dame (4-0) rolling, opening the season with four straight 40-point games for the first time since 1900. The Irish have never scored 40-plus in each of their first five games and will up against a real defense this week. Ohio State (3-0) struggled to find consistency on offense but their defense is prepped for Hartman. Ohio State leads the series 5-2 with five consecutive wins since 1995. Take OHIO STATE! |
|||||||
09-23-23 | Blue Jays v. Rays -118 | Top | 6-7 | Win | 100 | 6 h 22 m | Show |
Toronto at Tampa Bay 4:10 ET Rays over Blue Jays- The Rays will give the ball to Zack Littell (3-6, 4.12 ERA) on Saturday, and he will look to improve on a solid September that has yielded nothing in his win column. Over four starts this month, the right-hander is 0-2 despite a 3.33 ERA. With left-handers Hyun Jin Ryu lined up to pitch for Toronto on Saturday and Ryu (3-3 2.62 ERA) is 0-2 with a 3.05 ERA in four September starts. In five career starts against the Rays, the southpaw has no record but a sterling 2.55 ERA. But, today it is TAMPA BAY! |
|||||||
09-23-23 | Ole Miss v. Alabama -6.5 | Top | 10-24 | Win | 100 | 17 h 1 m | Show |
Mississippi at Alabama 3:30 ET Crimson Tide (-) over Rebels- The No. 13 Crimson Tide (2-1) benched Jalen Milroe for last week's game at South Florida, but his replacement Notre Dame transfer Tyler Buchner didn't last a half and was replaced by second-year player Ty Simpson. That tandem combined for 107 passing yards in a 17-3 victory over the Bulls. On Monday, the dial spun back to Milroe. He accounted for five touchdowns in the season-opening win against Middle Tennessee. But he threw two interceptions in a home loss against Texas a week later and was benched. The Rebels (3-0) didn't rush the ball up to head coach Lane Kiffin's standard the first two games, totaling just 232 yards. But in a 48-23 home victory against Georgia Tech last week, they finished 299 rushing yards. Alabama has won the last seven meetings, including a 30-24 road victory last season. The do it again. Take ALABAMA! |
|||||||
09-23-23 | Florida State v. Clemson +2.5 | Top | 31-24 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 34 m | Show |
Florida State at Clemson 12:00 ET Tigers (+) over Seminoles- After all the offseason headlines about being one of the top upcoming teams in the country, the Seminoles (3-0, 1-0 ACC) can validate the hype when they visit the Clemson Tigers (2-1, 0-1). The Tigers have won four straight home match-ups with FSU at Memorial Stadium and own seven consecutive victories in the series although Florida State leads the all-time series against Clemson 20-15. Tigers Quarterback Cade Klubnik accounted for four touchdowns, and the defense scored in Saturday's 48-14 home win over Florida Atlantic. Across three outings, Klubnik has completed 71 of 107 passes for 693 yards and eight TDs, with two interceptions. Take CLEMSON! |

09-21-23 | Giants +10.5 v. 49ers | Top | 12-30 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 7 m | Show |
New York Giants at San Francisco 8:15 ET Giants (+) over 49ers- The 49ers (2-0) streak into their home opener with an NFL-best 12 consecutive regular-season wins. New York avoided traveling coast-to-coast by staying in Arizona after their victory for an extra three nights before trekking to California. Saquon Barkley who led the Giants in rushing (63 yards) and receiving with six receptions last as the Giants rallied last week to beat the Arizona Cardinals 31-28 on Sunday. Still, the Giants are still looking for their first sack and takeaway this season. Giants come to play...take NEW YORK GIANTS! |

09-19-23 | Twins -125 v. Reds | Top | 7-0 | Win | 100 | 7 h 20 m | Show |
Minnesota at Cincinnati 7:10 ET Twins over Reds- Right-hander Kenta Maeda (5-7, 4.50 ERA) will start on Tuesday for Minnesota (79-72), which has a magic number of five to clinch the American League Central. Maeda is coming off one of his best starts of the season. On Thursday, he gave the host Chicago White Sox just two runs on four hits and one walk over seven innings. He fanned eight in Minnesota's 10-2 victory. The Twins are 9-10 in games Maeda has pitched in this season. Maeda is 2-1 with a 4.62 ERA in five career appearances (four starts) against the Reds. Cincinnati, which has been piecing together a rotation for most of the season due to injuries and lately COVID-19, will go with right-hander Fernando Cruz (1-1, 4.05 ERA) as an opener. The rookie has never faced the Twins. Right-hander Ben Lively (4-7, 5.22 ERA) is expected to pitch as well. Lively has made 12 starts this season, but he has logged just one relief appearance since returning from the COVID injured list last week. the Reds (79-73) back into a tie with the Chicago Cubs (78-72) for the National League's third and final wild-card berth, one half-game ahead of the Miami Marlins (78-73). Take MINNESOTA! |

09-18-23 | Phillies +100 v. Braves | Top | 7-1 | Win | 100 | 10 h 34 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Atlanta 7:20 ET Phillies over Braves- The loss ended Philadelphia's two-game winning streak. The Phillies (81-68) own sole possession of the first wild-card spot in the National League by three games over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Braves (96-53) lost their third straight game since clinching their sixth consecutive NL East title. Before this weekend, they hadn't lost a series to an NL East opponent all season. Atlanta has been on cruse control of late and are 5-5 in their last 10 games and are throwing out damaged good tonight in Kyle Wright (0-2. 7.48 ERA) who after going 21-5 with a 3.19 ERA in 2022. Aside from last season his career record over six years is just 2-10 with an ERA of 6.98. Zack Wheeler (11-6, 3.70) was bombed by the Braves last time out on Tuesday...atonement today he is 11-7, 3.24 ERA in 26 starts. Take PHILADELPHIA! |

09-18-23 | Saints v. Panthers +3.5 | Top | 20-17 | Win | 100 | 17 h 1 m | Show |
New Orleans at Carolina 8:20 ET Panthers (+) over Saints- One thing both of these clubs have in common is that the both stared the season with ‘new’ quarterback under center (sometimes). The New Orleans Saints won their first game with their new quarterback while the Carolina Panthers lost their first game with a new signal caller. Now Derek Carr after nine seasons as a Raiders will be and Saints leader when they visit Bryce Young and the Panthers on Monday night. Now Carr and Young are beginning an NFC South rivalry. Carr had a limited running game to work with. The Saints finished with just 69 yards while leading rusher Alvin Kamara served the first game of a three-game season. Young, whose longest completion gained 14 yards, was intercepted twice by Jessie Bates III last week and will be facing a Saints defense that intercepted Tennessee's Ryan Tannehill three times. The Panthers lost at Atlanta but dominated play holding the ball 10 minutes more than the Falcons and allowing just 13 First Downs and only 221 total yards. Take CAROLINA! |

Megabucks Kansas City at Jacksonville 1:00 ET Jaguars (+) over Chiefs- Jacksonville won its opener, 31-21 over the host Indianapolis Colts last Sunday, while the Chiefs fell 21-20 to the visiting Detroit Lions last Thursday. The Jaguars (1-0) have their eyes on snapping their seven-game slide against the Chiefs (0-1) when two of the AFC top teams meet Sunday in north Florida. Jacksonville hasn't defeated the Kansas City Chiefs since 2009. Mahomes looks like the off season hasn’t ended. Lawrence moving up! Take JACKSONVILLE! |

09-16-23 | Syracuse v. Purdue +2.5 | Top | 35-20 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 17 m | Show |
Megabucks Syracuse at Purdue 7:00 ET Boilermakers (+) over Orange- Syracuse has been impressive through the first two weeks of the season, but things get dicey with the challenge that they will see when they travel to take on Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind. The Orange (2-0) trounced Colgate 65-0 on Sept. 2 and whipped Western Michigan 48-7 last Saturday. They are third nationally in scoring offense, trailing only Oregon and USC, and their defense has been stout, as well. No team has yielded fewer points per game than Syracuse (3.5), which has recorded a defensive touchdown in each of its first two games. Syracuse won last season's meeting with Purdue, 32-29, as the teams combined for 42 fourth-quarter points. The Boilermakers outlasted Virginia Tech and there was a weather related delay of nearly 5 1/2 hours in last weekend's 24-17 road triumph. What is particularly noteworthy is that Purdue (1-1) is one of only nine FBS teams that has yet to commit a turnover this season. Take PURDUE |

09-16-23 | Rays -119 v. Orioles | Top | 0-8 | Loss | -119 | 8 h 17 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at Baltimore 7:10 ET Rays over Orioles- The Tampa Bay Rays beat the host Baltimore Orioles for the second straight game on Friday night, and the teams enter their match-up tied atop the division. While the Rays (92-57) have won nine of their past 11 games, the Orioles (91-56) have lost four straight, matching their season high. Saturday, Tampa Bay's Tyler Glasnow (9-5, 3.15 ERA) will oppose rookie right-hander Grayson Rodriguez (5-4, 4.88) in a matchup of right-handers. Glasnow has won his last two starts, allowing a combined five runs over 12 innings and striking out 22 while walking three. Last time out, he permitted four runs on six hits, over six innings during a win over the Minnesota Twins on Monday. He is 0-1 with a 6.35 ERA in two starts vs. the Orioles this season and 4-1 with a 3.13 ERA in eight career starts against Baltimore. Rodriguez has lowered his ERA from 7.33 to 4.88 over his past nine starts, giving up three earned runs or less in each outing. He is 2-1 with a 2.20 ERA over his past three starts. Rodriguez is 1-0 with a 3.18 ERA in two starts vs. Tampa Bay this season. but it won’t be enough today. take TAMPA BAY! |

09-16-23 | Rangers v. Guardians -120 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 7 h 21 m | Show |
Texas at Cleveland 6:10 ET Watch Dogs over Rangers- Cleveland (70-78) had been failing quite a bit, losing eight of 11 games before erupting for 15 hits in the series opener. The Rangers (82-65), who trail the Houston Astros (83-65) by a half-game in the American League West, saw their six-game winning streak come to a screeching halt. Texas, which holds the second AL wild-card spot, mustered only two hits over seven innings against Lucas Giolito, who struck out 12. Home team will start rookie right-hander Tanner Bibee (10-4, 3.03 ERA). Bibee has yielded just two earned runs in each of his past four outings but has just one win to show for it. Rangers right-hander Dane Dunning (10-6, 3.91 ERA) recorded his first win since Aug. 2 and he is 0-2 with a 9.82 ERA in three career appearances (all starts) against the former Tribesman.. Take CLEVELAND! |

09-15-23 | Rays -122 v. Orioles | Top | 7-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 27 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at Baltimore 7:00 ET Rays over Orioles- Tampa Bay and the Baltimore Orioles will meet Friday night in the second game of a four-game series that will figure heavily in who wins the American League East. Tampa Bay (91-57) prevailed 4-3 on Thursday night to pull within one game of first-place Baltimore (91-55). The Rays are as close as they have been to the Orioles since they were one game back on July 22. Tampa Bay has won six of its past seven games. The Orioles have dropped three games in a row for the first time since they snapped a four-game skid on July 2. Right-hander Zach Eflin (14-8, 3.53 ERA), who will start for the Rays on Friday night, blanked the Orioles on two hits for seven innings in a July 21 home victory. He has gone 3-3 with a 3.91 ERA in nine starts since then. Right-hander Jack Flaherty (8-8, 4.98 ERA) heads to the mound for the Orioles. He hasn't registered a victory since winning his Orioles debut on Aug. 3 after arriving in a trade with the St. Louis Cardinals. Only once in his past four outings has he completed five innings. Take TAMPA BAY! |

09-14-23 | Vikings +6 v. Eagles | Top | 28-34 | Push | 0 | 20 h 54 m | Show |
Money Game winner Minnesota at Philadelphia 8:15 ET Vikings (+) over Eagles- My original thoughts on this meeting is that the Eagles will play a better game this week than they did in their opening week win at New England. This season it would be fitting for Minnesota to take a big fall after a string of close wins last year and it might be catch up with them where they lose close games. In my way of thinking I should be all over the Vikings after a home loss but with just 41 yards rushing they shouldn’t do much better against this one of the NFL’s tougher defenses. But, Philly managed just 251 yards on offense against the Patriots. Not, enough tonight. Take MINNESOTA! |
|||||||
09-14-23 | Diamondbacks v. Mets -112 | Top | 1-11 | Win | 100 | 5 h 28 m | Show |
Arizona at New York Mets 4:10 ET Mets over Diamondbacks- The New York Mets' three-game sweep at Arizona in early July helped send the Diamondbacks into a spiral that nearly ruined their season. Thursday afternoon they face the Mets in the final clash of the season between the teams. Merrill Kelly (11-6, 3.16 ERA) is slated to start for the Diamondbacks against fellow right-hander Kodai Senga (10-7, 3.07). Senga the 30-year-old rookie won his lone start against the Diamondbacks on July 5, when he gave up one run over a season-high eight innings in New York's 2-1 victory. Senga matched his career high with 12 strikeouts in that contest. Kelly is 1-3 with a 3.81 ERA in four career starts against the Mets. Take the NEW YORK METS! |

09-10-23 | Packers +1.5 v. Bears | Top | 38-20 | Win | 100 | 4 h 20 m | Show |
Green Bay at Chicago 4:25 ET Packers (+) over Bears- This an opportunity for the Packers to a man to show the league and the public that they can win without having to rely on Aaron Rodgers. Chicago has put their future in the hands of quarterbacks Justin Field who may be the worst passing QB in the NFL but he may also be the best runner. Having run for 1,146 yard last season set all kinds of records but he only had two games with more than 200 yards passing as the Bears were dead last by a far margin in passing yardage. the best quarterback on the field will be Jordan Love who finally gets his chance to show his stuff and he will. Take GREEN BAY! |
|||||||
09-09-23 | Oregon v. Texas Tech +6.5 | Top | 38-30 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 3 m | Show |
Oregon at Texas Tech 7:00 ET Red Raiders (+) over Ducks- Two years ago I was spewing about the incompetence of Auburn quarterback Bo Nix who transferred to Oregon last season. Well, the move has done him good and he has matured into a Heisman front runner leading the Ducks to an 81-7 romp over Portland State going 23-of-27 for 287 yards. Texas Tech was a beaten favorite (-14) as Vegas Hotline winner Wyoming won outright 35-33. The Red Raiders opened a 17-0 first quarter lead and then tried to rest on their laurels. Returning home the will be ready for the Ducks who are flying high but will be shocked by the Raiders intensity. Take TEXAS TECH! |

09-09-23 | Notre Dame v. NC State +7.5 | Top | 45-24 | Loss | -105 | 16 h 2 m | Show |
Notre Dame at N.C. State 12:00 ET Wolfpack (+) over Fighting Irish- Okay, after playing two of the weakest team in college football Notre Dame appears to be ready to challenge the field for a finals berth. Hey, not so fast, this will be the first real football that they will play and the adjustment might be more difficult than they conceive. NC State slept walked through 416their opening 24-14 win at Connecticut in a non-cover victory. The Wolfpack have been laying-in-wait for the Irish to show up in Raleigh and have had 10 days and two game films to study. Take NORTH CAROLINA STATE! |
|||||||
09-09-23 | Nebraska +3 v. Colorado | Top | 14-36 | Loss | -110 | 16 h 59 m | Show |
Nebraska at Colorado 12:00 ET Cornhuskers (+) over Buffaloes- If you have not seen the highlights of Colorado’s upset victory over TCU them you have missed an awesome display of raw speed, quickness, great instinct and football awareness. The Buffaloes’ behind QB Shedeur Sanders set a school record of 510 yards passing and four touchdowns completely 37-of-48 attempts. The Buffs did surrender 262 yards rushing and this week they will face a club that in know for running the ball and they gained 181 yards on the ground against Minnesota in their 13-10 loss. Colorado will spend the week a ‘Mile High’ off their 21-point upset win. Take NEBRASKA! |
|||||||
09-08-23 | Illinois +3 v. Kansas | Top | 23-34 | Loss | -108 | 55 h 20 m | Show |
Illinois at Kansas 7:30 ET Fighting Illini (+) over Jayhawks- Kansas is 1-0 and off to a winning start by routing undermanned Missouri State 48-17 Friday night while the Illinois needed late heroics to defeat Toledo 30-28. Jayhawks QB Jalon Daniels was replace because of injury by Jason Bean who went 22-of-28 for two TD’s and 276 yards. These two meet for the first time since 1968 and the first time in Lawrence since 1892. Jayhawks still just 3-8 in their last 11 overall and being favored here is a bit of a stretch. Take ILLINOIS! |

09-08-23 | Mariners -109 v. Rays | Top | 4-7 | Loss | -109 | 17 h 42 m | Show |
Seattle at Tampa Bay 6:40 ET Mariners over Rays- Although the team is winning behind George Kirby (10-9, 3.39 ERA) 7-of-8 starts he has not picked up a win since July 25. Seattle had an August that put them back in the AL West race challenging Houston and the fading Rangers. Tampa Bay had lost five straight games when Taj Bradley (5-7, 5.42) before his last outing against Cleveland on Sunday a 6-2 win where he allowed just two runs on three hits in five innings with five base-on-balls. Kirby has the advantage. take SEATTLE! |

09-07-23 | Lions v. Chiefs -4.5 | Top | 21-20 | Loss | -110 | 31 h 23 m | Show |
Detroit at Kansas City 8:15 ET Chiefs (-) over Lions- Detroit closed the 2022 NFL regular season as one of the top five clubs in the NFL, starting 1-6 they then won 8-of-10 to close the year including a final game 20-16 win knocking the Packers out of the playoffs. During the off-season the Lions were seen by the public as the possible upstart Division and a futures winner. Kansas City will most likely be without Travis Kelce and believe me it won’t matter all that much. Since taking over in Kansas City coach Andy Reid is 9-1 in opening week and undefeated since Mahomes arrival. The Chiefs have the pride that comes with being a champion...take KANSAS CITY! |

09-06-23 | Orioles v. Angels +128 | Top | 10-3 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 4 m | Show |
Baltimore at LA Angels 9:35 ET Angeles over Orioles- The Angels (64-75) have lost five in a row and eight of their last nine games to fall a season-worst 11 games below .500. Baltimore is 4-2 against the Angels this season, and the Orioles have the best road record in the AL at 45-25. The Angels will counter with hard-luck left-hander Patrick Sandoval (7-11, 4.19). Los Angeles has lost 13 of Sandoval's past 17 starts. Sandoval is 0-1 with a 2.38 ERA in two career starts against the Orioles, striking out 17 over 11 1/3 innings without allowing a homer. He fanned 10 Orioles in 6 1/3 innings in his most recent start against the Orioles. Shohei Ohtani may return to the Angels lineup Wednesday after sitting out due to oblique tightness. Veteran right-hander Kyle Gibson (13-8, 5.15 ERA) who has won three of his last five starts overall, is 3-5 with a 5.94 ERA lifetime against the Angels in 14 career starts. He owns a 1-3 record with a 7.85 ERA in six starts in Anaheim. Take the ANGELS! |

Houston left-hander Framber Valdez (10-9, 3.38 ERA) will be on the mound Tuesday. He had an interesting August while going 2-2 with a 3.67 ERA in six starts. Valdez has struggled against Texas this season, going 0-2 with a 6.52 ERA. For his career, he is 6-5 with a 3.05 ERA in 15 appearances (12 starts). Take TEXAS! |
|||||||
09-04-23 | Clemson v. Duke +13 | Top | 7-28 | Win | 100 | 9 h 23 m | Show |
Clemson at Duke 8:00 ET Blue Devils (+) over Tigers- I’m not so sure this isn’t a hate bet against the Tigers as they have been so disappointing ATS in the past (at least when it seems I had them). Clemson went 11-3 last season and once again dominated the ACC having one of the easiest schedules in the nation. Duke under first year coach Mike Elco won nine of 13 decisions their highest win total since 2014. The Blue Devils return 98% of their offensive production while Clemson lost four player to the NFL draft. Devils deep enough and talented enough to bring this one sown to the final gun (do they still do that...Nah). Take DUKE! |
|||||||
09-04-23 | Astros v. Rangers -105 | Top | 13-6 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 44 m | Show |
Houston at Texas 4:05 ET Rangers over Astros- Did Texas get off the snide with their ninth inning victory over the Twins Sunday...it was just their fourth win in the past two weeks. Houston comes limping into Arlington having just been throttled by the Baby Bombers from New York getting swept three straight at home. The Rangers will start Andrew Heaney (9-6, 4.16 ERA) and he has won his last four decisions and in unbeaten in nine straight starts. JP France (9-5, 3.51) gets the nod for Houston and just defeated Boston on Tuesday after having surrendered 10 earned runs the previous start against the on Thursday. Take TEXAS! |

09-03-23 | Orioles v. Diamondbacks -138 | Top | 8-5 | Loss | -138 | 6 h 44 m | Show |
Baltimore at Arizona 4:00 ET Diamondbacks over Orioles- The Orioles picked up a struggling Jack Flaherty (1-2, 6.41 ERA) at the trade deadline and he promptly shut down Toronto for his first Baltimore victory. Three starts later he still has that one win but has been tagged with three losses surrendering 13 runs in 13 innings. Arizona is getting back on track and will be sending Zac Gallen (16-6, 3.32) to the hill and he had won three straight before getting racked by the Dodgers last time out. Look for a rebound performance and for the D’backs to get the best of Flaherty. Take ARIZONA! |
|||||||
09-02-23 | South Alabama +6.5 v. Tulane | Top | 17-37 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 13 m | Show |
South Alabama at Tulane 8:00 ET Jaguars (+) over Green Wave- Tulane is coming off their best season in over 100 years capped by a huge win over USC in the Cotton Bowl finishing the year 12-2. The Green Wave have been hit hard by players moving on and must replace their top running back who rushed for 1,581 yards and 19 TDs. The Jaguars finished 10-3 in 2022 and have 20 returning starters and tied at 7-1 for the USA West title. They were manhandled in the New Orleans Bowl 44-23 by Western Kentucky and return to the Super Dome with better results this time. Take SOUTH ALABAMA! |

09-02-23 | UTSA -125 v. Houston | Top | 14-17 | Loss | -125 | 10 h 42 m | Show |
UT San Antonio at Houston 7:00 ET Road Runners over Cougars- Houston will be starting their first season as part of the Big 12 joining along with Cincinnati. BYU and Central Florida but will open with this n0n-conference battle. UTSA was 11-3 last season but closed with a loss in the Cure Bowl 18-12 to Troy. The Cougars defeated the Road Runners 37-35 in last year’s opener a game UTSA believes that they should have won. This time they will. Take SAN ANTONIO! |

09-01-23 | Phillies -111 v. Brewers | Top | 5-7 | Loss | -111 | 9 h 32 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Milwaukee 8:10 ET Phillies over Brewers- August was a big month for the Phillies as they went 17-10 and moved into the top Wild card spot ahead of the Chicago Cubs. Philadelphia set a franchise record of 59 home runs for the month the third most by any team since 1904. Milwaukee has lost two straight after a nine-game win streak and will send Freddy Peralta (11-8, 3.95 ERA) to the mound and he was 5-0 with a 2.10 ERA the past month but is 0-2 with a 4.82 ERA in five appearances. The Whiz Kids will send out Zack Wheeler (10-6, 3.59) to the hill and he is 3-2 with a 2.47 ERA in eight career starts against the Brewers. Take PHILADELPHIA! |

08-30-23 | Brewers v. Cubs +113 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 113 | 3 h 16 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Chicago Cubs 2:20 ET Cubs over Brewers- The Cubs have lost five of the last six outings by scheduled starter Kyle Hendricks (5-7, 3.80 ERA). Hendricks is 10-8 with a 3.51 ERA in 32 starts versus Milwaukee. His lone 2023 appearance against the Brewers was a good one, allowing one earned and four hits during a 7-6, 11-inning Chicago victory on July 4. The Cubs haven't lost a home series since dropping two of three versus and are the Cubs are 27-12 since July 18 and own one of the NL's three wild-card spots. The Brewers’ Brandon Woodruff is pitching well (3-1, 2.65 ERA ) and he is 2-2 with a solid 3.14 ERA in 15 career starts versus Chicago but today is not his day. Take the CUBS! |
|||||||
08-29-23 | Rays v. Marlins -115 | Top | 11-2 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 43 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at Miami 6:40 ET Marlins over Rays- The Rays, closing in on their fifth straight playoff berth, are set to start right-hander Aaron Civale (6-3, 2.59 ERA) on Tuesday. The Rays acquired Civale on July 31 from the Cleveland Guardians, and in four starts with Tampa Bay he is 1-1 with a 3.54 ERA. Civale, who has never faced the Marlins, has been better on the road with a 3.54 ERA in 43 career starts than at home where he has a 4.01 mark in 37 starts. Miami will counter with right-hander Sandy Alcantara (6-11, 4.16 ERA), who won the National League's 2022 Cy Young Award with a 2.28 ERA and MLB highs in complete games (six) and innings (228 2/3). Alcantara has failed to match his high standard, but July (3.31 ERA) and August (3.03) have been the best months of his season. In five career starts against the Rays, Alcantara is 2-2 with a 2.90 ERA, he is also a strong pitcher at home, sporting a 2.92 career mark in 69 games. On the road, he has a 3.70 ERA in 75 games. This year, Alcantara's ERA is a full run better at home (3.61) than on the road (4.61). Take MIAMI! |

08-28-23 | Astros v. Red Sox -129 | Top | 13-5 | Loss | -129 | 7 h 48 m | Show |
Houston at Boston 7:10 ET Red Sox over Astros- Houston's Cristian Javier (9-2, 4.52 ERA) will make his second straight start against the Red Sox after taking the ball last Monday and working five, three-run innings. The right-hander tied his season high of 105 pitches in that outing. Javier will face Boston for the fifth time in his career (third start). He is 1-1 with a 3.50 ERA in the previous meetings. Despite homering in 16 consecutive games, the Red Sox have lost four of their last seven after losing two of three to the Dodgers this past weekend after the series in Houston. Thursday's final game of the Astros series was a 17-1 Boston win. Boston left-hander Chris Sale (5-3, 4.68) will make his fourth start since returning from the 60-day injured list with left shoulder inflammation. The Red Sox are 10-4 in Sale's starts this season and 5-1 in his last six after he retired the last nine batters he faced in a no-decision in Houston last Wednesday. He allowed four runs on six hits but struck out nine over five innings. Take BOSTON |

08-27-23 | Braves v. Giants +114 | Top | 5-8 | Win | 114 | 7 h 22 m | Show |
Atlanta at San Francisco 7:10 ET Giants over Braves- The final matchup of the regular season between the clubs is expected to turn into a run of the San Francisco bullpen, with Tristan Beck (3-2, 3.34 ERA) up first. The Giants used four relievers after opener Ryan Walker in Saturday's 7-3 loss. Right-hander Jared Shuster (4-2, 5.00), recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett earlier in the week, is the scheduled starter for the Braves. Atlanta's win Saturday made it two straight over the Giants in San Francisco and four of five going back to its 2-1 series win at home last week. SF is 5-14 in their last 19 games while the Braves have won four in-a-row. But, Sunday night brings a different mindset. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |

08-26-23 | Browns -3.5 v. Chiefs | Top | 32-33 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 13 m | Show |
Cleveland at Kansas City 1:00 ET Browns (-) over Chiefs- Kansas City wants out of this game so bad that they are so happy playing at home and they can get an early start on their 12 days before opening the season on Thursday Night September 7 hosting the Lions. Andy Reid got his win last week as the Chiefs started the preseason with a loss, but bounced back with an emphatic 38-10 win over the Arizona Cardinals last weekend. The Browns are coming off an 18-18 tie with the Philadelphia Eagles in their last outing and while no Chiefs starters will see action the Browns have hinted that they might give their starters a bit more playing time than the Chiefs in the final week of exhibition play. Browns take what the Chiefs give them a meaningless preseason win (meaningless to THEM!). Take CLEVELAND! |

08-25-23 | Chargers v. 49ers -7.5 | Top | 23-12 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 21 m | Show |
LA Chargers at San Francisco 1:00 ET 49ers (-) over Chargers- Los Angeles is set at quarterback with Justin Herbert in fold for years t come but his play will not begin tonight. On the other side of the field San Francisco appears to have their QB issues settled but there is huge competition between Trey Lance (who may end up the odd man out) and San Darnold. Believe it or ot it appears that Darnold has the edge to back up Brock Pudry who will play tonight. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
|||||||
08-25-23 | Padres +104 v. Brewers | Top | 3-7 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 1 m | Show |
San Diego at Milwaukee 8:10 ET Padres over Brewers- Milwaukee has matched their longest winning streak of the season at five and will send Brandon Woodruff (2-1. 2.85 ERA) who has had made three starts since coming off the IL and in his last outing was banged around a bit by Texas. He will be opposed by the Padres Yu Darvish (8-9 4.35) who is 2-4 lifetime against Milwaukee but with an outstanding 2.09 ERA in nine career starts against the Brewers. With the price where it is I expect a Padres surprise. Take SAN DIEGO! |
|||||||
08-23-23 | Giants +117 v. Phillies | Top | 8-6 | Win | 117 | 6 h 22 m | Show |
San Francisco at Philadelphia 4:05 ET Giants over Phillies- To start with Philadelphia is in the first NL playoff spot and have a four-game lead over the Giants. The Phillies are starting Michael Lorenzen (7-8, 3.57 ERA) an he is 0-1 with an 8.22 ERA in eight career appearances. In his first start after his no-hitter he surrendered seven runs in 3.1 innings against Washington. San Francisco will send Alex Cobb (6-5, 3.75) to the mound and he is 1-1 with a 2.82 ERA in four career starts against the Phillies. The Giants are 9-3 in their last 12 meetings with the Phillies. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
|||||||
08-19-23 | Bucs +3.5 v. Jets | Top | 13-6 | Win | 100 | 9 h 13 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at New York Jets 7:30 ET Buccaneers (+) over Jets- Okay the Jets are a team that will have to be dealt with during the season as they have become the media darlings now that Aaron Rodgers is leading the charge. New York just humiliated Carolina 27-0 last time out but they realize that crushing an opponent in these meaningless games has little value except to draw attention from the populace. Tampa Bay has fallen off the charts since the departure of Tom Brady and little is expected from them. But, the Buc’s have a real competition among QB’s in camp and they will scrap for the full 60 minutes. Take TAMPA BAY! |
|||||||
08-19-23 | Giants +110 v. Braves | Top | 5-6 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 30 m | Show |
San Francisco at Atlanta 7:20 ET Giants over Braves- The way these two teams have been playing with Atlanta lading the Majors in win percentage and the Giants struggling of late this line seems way out of whack. After all San Francisco is 2-7 in their last nine games and 1-11 in their last 12 on the road and add that Atlanta is 6-0 in their last six at home. Pitching is the key here as Logan Webb (9-9, 3.26 ERA) has the advantage over Braves starter Yonnie Chirinos (5-5, 5.22) who came over from Tampa Bay. Webb is 2-0 with a 1.33 ERA in four career starts against Atlanta. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
|||||||
08-19-23 | Brewers +127 v. Rangers | Top | 6-1 | Win | 127 | 7 h 43 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Texas 4:05 ET Brewers over Rangers- After having won 12 of 14 Texas has dropped their last two contests including last night’s 9-8 loss to the Brewers. Milwaukee is 6-4 in their last 10 games will send Freddy Peralta (9-8, 4.08 ERA) to the mound and he is 3-0 with a 1.89 ERA in the month of August. The Rangers will send Dane Dunning ( 9-4, 3.10) out against the Brewers and he is 1-0 with a 2.18 ERA in August. But off last night’s win the Brewers do it again. Take MILWAUKEE! |
|||||||
08-18-23 | Brewers +110 v. Rangers | Top | 9-8 | Win | 110 | 10 h 14 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Texas 8:05 ET Brewers over Rangers- Milwaukee’s Brandon Woodruff (2-1, 1.99 ERA) came off the 60-day IL on Aug. 6 and limited the Pittsburgh Pirates to two runs and four hits in five innings, striking out nine without a walk. However, he took a 4-1 defeat. He was sidelined for nearly four months earlier this season with shoulder inflammation, but he appears to be rounding into form as Milwaukee tries to hold on to first place in the NL Central. Texas will try to get back to its winning ways behind Andrew Heaney (9-6, 4.17 ERA). The left-hander is looking to bounce back after being lifted in the second inning of his Saturday outing against the San Francisco Giants. Maybe he lasts longer this time out but it will not matter. Take MILWAUKEE! |

08-18-23 | Bengals v. Falcons -6.5 | Top | 13-13 | Loss | -104 | 19 h 10 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Atlanta 7:30 ET Falcons (-) over Bengals- I don’t believe that Cincinnati will come to play until Joe Burrow returns to action. The Bengals are now seasoned pro’s who have make the playoffs the past two years and they understand that it is a long season and it really won’t start for them until Joe Cool is back under center. Last week Green Bay ran the ball on Cincy and so will Atlanta who had the number three rushing attack in the entire NFL last season. Falcons will showcase the number six pick in the entire 2023 draft running back Bijan Robinson from Texas. Take ATLANTA! |
